Pretty small campsite, but very nice in help to get in the phone / reception. Arrived late and left early the next day, when I was going on ..
Absolutely fine sanitary facilities.

great place to start the nices hikes in the neighbourhood !!!!!
Friendly transaction. Very crowded. Electricity in short supply. Right on the water but still Odda is not a nice place I think. Very gloomy. I had to look for a shower. Toilets in order. Okay for one night.
The campsite is much too small and overcrowded by tents. Many of the campers do not seem to care that in addition to the high pitch price you have to pay 20 crowns each for 5 minutes warm showers. In addition, there was only shared toilets and showers, which is not necessarily everyone's thing. In addition, you have to share a kettle with 10 different people, if you want to wash your dirty dishes. Since here, too, the hot water pipe no longer works for some time. Hygiene and body care is neglected in this campsite in my opinion and the camping experience was more of a time travel experience in a time when people did not need to take a shower and dishes were washed by the stream .....
With so many guests, it is irresponsible to close showers at 22.00. No anti bac in hygienic areas crowded. Could be good but due to covid it is not good. How can you have a campsite and not know if there are electric pitches available? "Go and see," said the front desk, wow. Tightening Odda camping
Very child-friendly, not a plaything to be found.
Noisy far into the evening and noisy from the main road.
The reception was barely open, no one checked the distance on tents and motorhomes.
The shower costs NOK 20 for 5 min.
Not recommended for family outings.
Chaotic parking space, blocked access at peak times, far too little sanitary and rinsing capacity.
The place itself is nice, but when we were there in July it was so crowded that we drove straight on.
Is a good starting point for various hikes, hence probably these crowds.
Great and affordable camping close to the center of Odda. Has all the facilities you need. Perfect as a starting point for a trip to Trolltunga.
Apparently very popular camping because it was full and we had to stand behind the way on their "spot" place ... Besides, a super place to sleep before a hurried tour at Trolltung
A very nice place right on the lake. The place Odda is nothing special.
View from the campsite is nice, but too full. Showers are filthy and too few for the number of people out there. Kitchens are old and only 4 seeds for more than 60 tents. They also only have 2 washing places to wash in.
Really below par. Nice view but a dredging site. Plumbing is too small, you really can't turn your r @@ t on. The terrain is muddy here and there a nice piece of grass. Internet should be good everywhere but only works well in the vicinity of the reception. Places with electricity are limited. Actually a very bad campsite that is also far too expensive but with a beautiful view.
Busy camping. Almost no space. You have to pay for all the hot water. If you only stay here for trolltunga then you could better camp on of the trail or just before the start of the trail(ask the owners for permission).
The room doesnt looks like on the pictures, they are small and i dont like the bathroom, but maybe in campings its like this, this is the first time i have been in a camping BUT personally i dont like this philosophy, if you clean ok if not we can do it but it will costs extra...how they know its cleaned properly? Maybe it looks clean but for example the toilett doesnt has to be clean, and really hear it was stinking around the fridge.
Poor tent space. Cheated for hot water in the shower. Paid $ 20 for nothing.
A charming not large campsite. With a beautiful view of the morning coffee for free. Bathrooms, showers clean. Unfortunately, this is the only campsite at Trolltunga. In the evenings, every scrap of traffic is taken by arriving tourists. Through which to use a shower or wash the dishes you have to wait in line with 30 min.
The double rooms are simple but very comfortable. The bus to trolltunga goes through the campsite and is very convenient.
Very busy but cozy. Pricey but if you are lucky, nice place
Location is good.
Camping itself totally overcrowded, close to tight.
Sanitary much too little and totally confused arranged.
Even for hot water, money is required here. Outrageous!
If the Trolltunga were not, I would continue here.
Let's travel in a tent
Well located campsite but not very good at all
to wash dishes you have to pay for hot water 10kr for 1 minute of hot water
To cook the plates do not heat what a hassle!
Crockery / kitchen space too small
Paying showers like a lot of camping in Norway but here 20 kr
moreover the coin mechanism is outside the shower
No paper to wipe your hands or other than usual we find in many camping
To review the comfort because we have really found better and cheaper elsewhere
Overcrowded, one toilet for whole camping, extra charge for showers, no hot water in the kitchen.
Cabin good, cleanliness and number of facilities inadequate
Great location, kitchen and staff. Only three bathrooms for the entire area, which is too few in my opinion. Hot water in the shower is not included in the price, customers are required too bring 20kr coins to the shower too get this, but even after the payment the water is still cold.
Beautiful place, but if there is a lot of crowds, full and tight. It is advisable to come in the early afternoon. Sanitary facilities are clean and tidy. As a stopover or 2 days I would always like to come back.
Nice location and facilities. However the noise level for the tents was too high. To close to a road where cars are passing frequently.
This campsite lives alone because of its location to Trolltunga.
Camping crowded and for the price of 300NOK you expect at least clean sanitary facilities. For 5min hot water are again extra 20NOK to pay.
Partly renovated sanitary facilities, otherwise it is noticeable that this place is the starting point for the Trolltunga, which ends in mass processing with limited space. Long lines at the kitchen / sink. Only two unisex toilets (where the toilet paper is empty at midday and will not be refilled) and a few extra toilets for women. For one night 'sufficient', but not relaxing by the many arrivals and departures.
Camping is good and well located but there are too many people there. Shower, toilet, washing-up room are much too small.
Stayed two nights and both the rooms and the sanitary facilities were clean.
Place is on the water with a view of the glacier.
The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and spoke English.
We would come back
Camping is super, but a shower at 20 NOK in 5 minutes, a laundry is also a paid and drying machine :) all nature dishes in the kitchen are available for general use
Nice location, free WiFi on the campsite, good price (250nok for telt place a night +20nok 5min shower) has a big kitchen with all the supplies, possible to rent out the rooms (room nr 11 is to avoid cus of noise from shared bathroom besides of the room). The only negative thing about this place is the light sensors in sanitary area, the light switches off after 5seconds, you have to move or wave your hands to switch on the light again. We found it very disturbing you either have to move around the room all the time to activate the light or wash your self in the dark... Definitely the improvement camping has to work on.
Tips go on topp of the stones for the view to the lake from the topp and there is a nice sunset spot near Vikinhaug apartment to the town
Beautifully located camping, however, there is an amazing squeeze on it. Definitely too few parking spaces and too poor sanitary facilities, because in the queue to just one of several showers or toilets you sometimes have to wait up to 20 minutes. A huge plus for nice and super helpful compatriots working there.
Pretty expensive, sanitary facilities too small, a ladies room two shared toilets. Just good enough for an overnight stay. Sanitation best between one and five o'clock to use.
Camping grounds are nice but everything, including hot dishwater is expensive
Nice location, but that's about it: /
Everything has already been written in past reviews
Simple but beautifully situated campsite right on the lake overlooking the mountains and a waterfall.
Sanitary facilities are older but clean a kitchen with everything necessary is also available.
Friendly staff from here can start several tours because the bus starts directly in front of the reception.
Too crowded, but not enough washing-up places and sanitary facilities.
Would highly recommend. Great spot, nice staff, and good facilities.
Best camping site in area. Close to trail to Trolltunga, Folgeffona glacier just by the lake.
All many people who camper, since everyone goes to Trolltunga. Generally nice people there and, including the staff. Got to charge my phone here.
One star for the beautiful and practical location. The place is small, overcrowded and accordingly very loud around the clock. The tents are too close together due to the lack of space and it is difficult to fall asleep. The showers cost 20NOK for 5 minutes and are not clean. The toilets are not clean either. The parking space is also much more expensive than average.
Of all too little available. The location is great.
Know this place for many years and like to go there. Ideally located as a starting point for hikes, on foot or a few minutes by car. 1 week stay is therefore no problem. The sanitary facilities in the main building could be a bit better. But there's hot water at the sink for free.
Means to an end, good as a base camp to start the hiking tour to Trolltunga
We were there on 08/23/17 with tent and car
There is free WiFi, a washing machine, dryer and a room to dry things
But completely overcrowded, the 3m safety distance from tent to tent that you should keep could not be kept, far too little space to park
Sanitary facilities for the crowd of people absolutely inadequate, sometimes long lines
5 minutes of hot water for showering NOK 20
1 minute warm water for rinsing 10 NOK
2 sinks and hotplates in a much too narrow kitchen, 1 sink outside
Space too narrow to brush your teeth
To be fair, it should be pointed out that the weather was good for hiking at the time, but you still have to be prepared for it with the location
Not recommended
Drecking, overcrowded, expensive, terrible!
We are now 3 weeks in Norway and THAT is by far the biggest dirt place.
The first time it disgusted us to shower. WIFI was not interested either. 440NOK for 2 persons a night in VW Bus ... @ ADAC: Take the place from the guide.
We stayed there for 1 night, paid a total of KR 300 for a space for our 6m mobile home, fresh water and electricity. The latter is difficult to reach from some parking spaces. You should have a 50m roll with you.
Clean toilets and shower cubicles, easy to find, directly at the reception or the entrance to the square.
Camping very welcoming both visually and professionally .. a quiet place that allows you a lot of starting hiking .. clean facilities (sanitary shower kitchen) and maintained.
They take a cosmic price, which is inadequate for their services
Used to camp before going up to Trolltunga, bit noisy and small. But has some good views and biggest stone in Norway !
Expensive. Too many tents and motorhomes stored in a small campsite.
- , . .
Nice staff, very good location. However, the cleanliness in the sanitary and kitchen area could be improved, and the number of showers does not match the space. Relatively expensive compared to other places
Many people, tents are one over the other. Otherwise the campsite is pretty nice there is everything available
The 2 stars only for the good starting point and the wonderful view over the lake. Otherwise totally overcrowded with sanitary facilities in the lowest category! Sometimes even with paid showers only cold water and in the mini kitchen only warm water for money ...
Absolutely not to be recommended
We arrived there late, and the "hot" shower was not, and the people at the reception were quite cold to us.
Small but charming campsite. Access to most of the facilities
Though this camping is in an awesome place, it is pathetic in terms of facilities and price. For a tent pitch they charge 250nok and for shower it's 20nok. That's too expensive. They allow unlimited tents and campers so by the end of day there wouldn't be many good places to pitch your tent and for the car parking
As others have mentioned, bathrooms were not clean. There isn't enough toilets for the number of tents, campers they allow and the pods. Kitchen is small too and you've to wait in queue to cook or wash dishes in the night.
I'll give 5 star for the location. If you're ready to compromise with other facilities, go there early to get a good tent pitching place by the lake(Fjord) and you've absolutely brilliant view in front of you. I think it would be OK here during off peak seasons. We reached pretty late but luckily I could secure a place on the lake for the better view.
Don't miss the Folgefanna hike to nearby glacier!
Perfect location for the "Troll's Tongue" or the "Buerdalen" glacier. But that's about it ... The number of sanitary facilities including the kitchen, which are far too scarce, resemble a motorway rest area. Showers 20nok, warm water to wash off 10nok !!! Thumbs down.
Otherwise nice lady at the reception (who is apparently responsible for everything and is overwhelmed with it) and good starting position for the above-mentioned hikes.
Only visit for the Trolltunga hike, but you should consider whether you should not take a longer journey.
- extremely expensive place (300 NOK for 1 night, 2 people, small tent, -> yes the size of the tent is included in the price)
- showers very expensive (20NOK for 5 min)
- Does hot water for washing the dishes cost ?! (10NOK for 1 min)
- very small, crowded place
- a total of 4 showers and far too few toilets
- these not even clean
- too small kitchen
(actually 0 stars but that doesn't work)
Free Wi-Fi. Electricity is a matter of luck since very few are available. Nice location right on the lake. Toilets and showers very limited with coins to pay. Pitch can be searched for yourself. Friendly clean.
We're sad to say that we didn't enjoy staying on this camping. The main reason is that the owners allow way too much guests on this small camp site, it therefore felt like a festival camping. The sanitary facilities are quite chaotic and the personnel doesn't seem to be capable to be keeping up with the cleaning. Doing the dishes here was my lowest moment on my whole holliday, as it was way too crowded in the little kitchen and people were literally fighting over the access of the only sink. Plus, the water that I had to use was ice cold, so nothing got really clean. However, the views over the glacier lakes are wonderful and you're nearby for an adventurous hike to Buerbreen. Unfortunately, we won't come back to this camping for the hike to Trolltunga.
Lovely little place with a nice view, if you are lucky enough to get a place in that area. The organization seems a bit sluggish, no seating and strange opening hours. The sanitary is not wild luxury, but ok with good cleaning.
Unfriendly staff. Everything costs extra, such as hot water for rinsing. The place was very crowded and a poster that pointed to the legal 3 meter distance between the womo hung directly from but was ignored.
Good place to stay near Trolltunga. Only issue is that it gets crowded by around 6pm. Ensure to reach there before that.
We paid 250 nok for a car and tent(Our own). Extra tent costs 200 nok. Hot water bath costs 20nok.
There is a lake to swim in, kitchen, toilets, drinking water, small grocery store inside the camp.
Nice with bed, shower and stove when looking out on the campers in the wind and rain after a long hike.
Expensive and crowded. It is worth staying if you get a spot with a view. But it is unlikely during summer.
Clean room but very very small and basic. The plumbing was reasonable and the kitchen okay, if it hadn't been so crazy. It took hours to cook. The communal area was an outdoor shelter. We left after one night.
Good location to do activities from. Lots of hikes and viewpoints in the region. The campsite itself doesn't give you that special feeling however. Quite crowded and close to a busy road.
For the location and the price is too little out of the square and the value for money is inappropriate. The sanitary facilities are in poor condition.
For example, the following services cost extra:
20 NOK shower for 5 minutes
20 NOK for power to blow dry hair
Unfortunately, Wi-Fi is far too slow to be useful today. For electricity, an adapter for household sockets is needed. Space for gray water and drinking water very cramped at the main building at the same time there is the reception.
Latest check out 12 o'clock.
