Oceanic Restaurant/LM Restaurants Review

Waitress was nice. Didn't have a very long wait to be seated. My daughter and I had Oysters Rockefeller. They were not good. Salad was not good. Company I was in was better than the food. Use to really enjoy their food. Hope there's improvement.

The lady at the front of the building was very nice and informative, however was very innacurate of wait times. She had said 5-10 minutes and we waited 30 minutes before deciding to leave. **UPDATE* after driving 20 minutes to another restraunt and finishing eating and paying off our tab, we get a call 1 hour and 40 minutes later about our table being ready. **

Back tracking... On our way into the parking lot, a kid in a less than presentable T-shirt and shorts walked in front of our car and just seemed to be in the way..

Fast forward... On our way out of the parking lot. The kid stopped us and motioned to roll the window down, just to tell us that on our way in he was trying to stop us to inform us that this was not beach parking. Mind you, as we were entering the parking lot initially this kid was not sitting in his booth, he was walking down the sidewalk, not in his booth. Wearing nothing resembling the restraunt, and nothing even slightly presentable. In his words "I work here. You didn't have to 'speed off' like that, I was trying to tell you something on your way in.." Have been here before, am more than willing to give it another chance with the new ownership of the place, but had a less than desirable experience coming here tonight. Didn't have great experiences in the past, but wanted to give it another chance. Rude kid not even slightly dressed to work at a place like this ruined what little experience I had here.

Extremely long wait. Few parking places. Really cramped inside. Food ok. Very expensive.

The food was ok but there was no discernable alcohol in the drinks. We were offered an extra shot for an up charge and told the bartender went light on the liquor to save money. Not a great experience for us.

The food and the drinks were good for the price. The view of the beach is beautiful.

The view upstairs was amazing, loved the place and the staff, great service as well as the food, was excellent. Would love to visit again

This is all about the veiw, and it is a stellar view! Food is mediocre, staff is young and inexperienced, and health score is LOW, prices are high.

Always tastes really good after all-day sun being out on the beach. The prices are not horrendous, but I think it's a bit pricey for the quality of food and service.

Absolutely fantastic views! Food was pretty good. Their fish is what really shines in their menu. They are usually extremely busy. So if you come get a good view of the sea and relax. Drinks were top notch!

Great food in a great location. You can choose to eat inside or out on the pier. Beautiful views of the beach while dinning in either.

Great food, nice place. However we were greeted by a girl that never said hello properly or looked at us or barely allowed us to finish a sentence as if we were bothering her, terrible customer service especially being the first person you meet. Our waiter was also not great, when we mentioned we might order a bottle of wine she kept coming back asking if we were going to order the bottle, when we didn't she completely changed her attitude. When offered if we wanted dessert we said we brought a cake since it was my bday and she couldn't bother to ask if we wanted a dessert drink or coffee "again frustrated" the list goes on with the terrible customer service received it seemed like they hired the first people that showed up and didn't bother to train properly if you ask me. Very disappointed.

Just there for drinks. They make a mean bloody mary. Great view from the bar of a placid Atlantic Ocean. Outdoor seating on their covered pier when it's warm enough.

Okay place. Great views, food and staff mediocre. Got the fish tacos, they were okay but nothing to write home about (especially for the price).

Picturesque location and totally worth the long drive (if you are driving from far). It has a nice vibe to it, you would encounter many people around here - so wear your mask till the pandemic is over. Finding parking could be bit challenging during peak season or holiday season, so plan to come early. It also has a restaurant on the pier if you want to have some food while you have fun at the beach

Was excited for their reopening, however the food was a one star. It only gets two for the location and views.

Watered down margaritas, food portions were tasty but small...after an 80 dollar meal we left starving, not still hungry, but still stupid hungry...server was short, rude, and down right annoyed to be at work. We wasted our money and will not be back. Once again, the food tasted really good, but stupid small portions....maybe the dinner menu is better....the outside running was a treat, but the table looked stained and in cared for.

Kids had a blast. Water was perfect. No sink trenches.

Awesome view of the beach! Food is good and so is service, usually (see problem I had below). Seating inside 1st and 2nd floors, or out on the new expanded boardwalk. You can have a simi-fancy dinner here or a quick lunch after a day on the beach covered in sand (they even have an outdoor shower for beach customers). They make good seafood dinners, the menu is limited. Not too expensive. They make great Hush-puppies but don't have the sweet-potato fries that are so popular these days.
Feb. 8, 2020. I removed a star after the poor service we received today. After waiting for 2 hours they had not even started to prepare our meals. As the time ticked away they apologized and assured us that the meal would be there soon, so they knew our need but did nothing. Other meals were being served all around us but not to our table. I was polite and they were polite, they even gave us as some slidders complimentary which is the only reason I have not removed more stars. My mom got a small portion of her meal delivered but not the rest, all the rest of both of our meals was never even prepared. I paid for what we ordered and got the heck out of there, I was so hungry! I went home and opened a can of clam chowder and in 5 minutes I was eating seafood. We were a party of 2 and everyone else got priority over us because they were larger groups, ok but it is inexcusable that we would never be getting what we ordered.

Nice ambiance and a beautiful view of the ocean! Our server, Ariana, was hospitable, helpful, efficient, and attentive (not in an interfering way, though). Our meals were served in a timely manner and we're quite delicious! Though it is fine dining, the dress code is beach casual or business casual. We would certainly recommend dining here!

Found this place by accident and all I can say is that we found a GEM. Service, food and views were awesome. We spent a good part of the day at the outside bar with Kyle and Anthony. Early evening with Jenny and Yammi. All 4 were outstanding. All of the above making it an easy decision to come back for 4th of July weekend. Cant wait. Hope to see all 4 of them again. Advice, definitely get any one of the seafood platters. Amazing!

What an amazing dining experience every time! Eat outside, if the weather permits. It's wonderful. Love the history and pictures lining the halls also. It's a must go!

So basically you are helping pay their hurricane, wind, and flood insurance when you buy their double priced food. For my Piedmont, NC folks let me put it like this for you...Libby Hill Seafood has better food and better prices, for my Burlington folks Harbour Inn has better food and prices.

You are paying for the view while you eat, honestly. The tables on the pier are pretty cool though.

$17 for two tacos with fries (that's right, fries!)

$ 14 for fried shrimp and fries with some coleslaw that tasted like sour mayonnaise and vinegar collided.

Beautiful restaurant, but the food lacks flavor and the service is inconsistent.

It was WONDERFUL...and the adorable bartender does a heavy pour on the mojitos!!

Our waitress ( Courtney) was excellent! I'm a bit of a foodie so for me the food is nothing special, it's all about that beach and ocean view!

Brought friends who had sailed in from New Hampshire. Very disappointed. Waitress was less than fair, I ordered a $23.00 plate of crab stuffed salmon. It was dry and tasted like it had been premade and reheated. Rice had no flavor and the green beans were hard. My husband ordered a fried seafood plate and it was over cooked. The only thing good was the company. We will not go back.

Its always amazing, and the outside seating is awesome

Their seating out side makes it refreshing with a pink lemonade and fried cheese calamari makes it a good $10 meal for a quick bit.

This place is hit or miss. I will admit the only "miss" times have been when it's crazy busy or when there's a band playing and it hurts my head to try to sit outside. But overall, the food has always been pretty good and you can't beat the view. Their crab dip is definitely my favorite I've ever had.

They were not even crowded and people were waiting forever for service. I finally got my drink with the check.

Was excited but very disappointed. View is nice but that's where it stops. Sat us at a dirty table and then brought silverware. Both the gumbo and she crab soup was cold when brought to table. sent back and returned with a film over and ice cold again. No sherry was brought for she crab. Not worth the wait or price, they should pay customers to eat here. Very over rated . Will NEVER be back,

The waitress was nice but inexperienced. Food was way over priced for the quality. Avoid the canned crab dip. You can get a much better steak at Long Horn or Outback for a much better price. If it s the ocean side eating experience you want, I would suggest you do a pick up and eat it on the sand.

The Oceanic is a must when visiting Wrightsville beach. The location is right on the beach and they serve the best crab dip!

Literally the best crab cakes and oysters rockefeller I ve ever had in my life. I m a huge seafood fan and this place is fantastic! Fast service, reasonable prices and good cocktails. We will be returning!

This is our go to place for a sea breeze experience. Nothing more enticing than sitting under a canopy sipping a long cool drink, watching the ocean and having that beautiful sea air fill your lungs. The food is alright and occasionally exceptional but despite that we love its ambiance. Casual and exhilarating.

Just ok. High dollar for what you get and, they know how to get you in and out fast.

Hello, my family and I celebrated my fifteen-year-old grandson's birthday last night. I myself ordered a clam platter. I was very disappointed because instead of clams I got a lot of crumbs and the quality was not good. The staff agreed that , that was not acceptable. We had to wait a long time for our meals and ketchup and tartar sauce came after meals were served, not timely so our meals were cooling off. We had 2 veterans at the table, when we asked if there was a discount for Veterans, no was the answer. Keep in mind you would not be here if it weren't for Veterans. If I had the chance to come to your restaurant again I wouldn't. And could not in good faith recommend you to others. The food did not compare to the prices that you charge.

Best view on Wrightsville Beach. Food is always good.

Best fried shrimp platter and hush puppies in WB. Server said I could fish from the pier. Only complaint is it took us 30 minutes to find parking.

Ate here over the weekend. The food was great especially the signature seafood pasta dish. Our waitress Hailey did a fantastic job despite difficult circumstances with the power outage that took place. She went above and beyond to make our experience great despite the power going out.

The Chicken O was honestly the best chicken dish I have ever had. It tasted so good and being by the ocean makes this place really special.

Very nice, the view outside is breath taking and nothing. Beats some seafood out in the ocean air. I had the Classic Po' boy and absolutely loved it!

The view is nice, and the finishes of the restaurant are nice after the remodel. I had the high tide sandwich, and i had two bites from it. That was the greasiest bacon egg and cheese on toast i have ever had, the eggs were slimey, the bacon was soggy, the bread was like a child's grilled cheese done with mayo. The fried potatoes were griddle fried and were equally as soggy. Noone at my table of six finished their meal, there were guests behind us that conplained about their meal and the server's response was sorry bout that, here's the check have a nice day. The men's bathroom is the same as it was before merely rearranged, with less privacy now. There shold have been more of a focus on substance rather than finishes, and after decades of enjoying the oceanic, this is the dirst time i did not. I don't even know how someone in a chair would get to the restaurant without help, and the facilities are tight.

We had a late lunch with great views even on an overcast day! The food was yum and our waitress Carmen was especially good- she was super kind to our slightly needy 4 year old!
