I booked a room for spring break and unfortunately everyone in your party has to be 21, NOT just the person checking in. Front desk associate was incredibly rude. We arrived at midnight to find out we couldn't stay at the resort and we were kicked out to the road when trying to find another place to stay.
We paid 250 dollars for a room with 2 queen sized beds cause there are three of us. When we got their the gave us a king size bed and a small couch and said they would give us a roll out bed. Again, WE PAID 250DOLLARS FOR THIS. This isn't the first time this has happened to us, we came a year earlier and we got a regular room in stead of the suite we paid. They are really bad at managing their rooms.
Beautiful venue for a beach side wedding. Wish they would have closed the pool for 20 min during the ceremony though. Slightly disruptive. Also, elevators are tiny and move slowly.
Great restaurant and bar. Enjoyed our time at the Plaza.
The room service was the best. Offer two complementary water, beer and wine from 5 to 6pm. The pool was always clean and open 24hours. Beach access from the pool. Very close to delicious restaurants it has a Spa in the first floor. It has a beautiful restaurant inside the hotel. The hotel was gorgeous in the inside with antiques pictures of Daytona Beach
It's reviews say 4 star and it is! Great place on the sand. Very reasonable price for what you get, a bargin!!
The room was over priced sold just on the view alone. The room reminds me of Motel 6 decor and feel. Bed was hard. And only 2 free bottles of water when any 4 star hotels around the world give you free water.
It was moldy smelling. The sliding glass door to the balcony was very stiff to open and shut.
Elevators corroded and you risked being stranded in one. Not to mention waiting for up to 30 minutes for one to only find out it won't move.
The Convention room should have never housed people. The carpet was not down properly people were tripping on it all night. It was held down by tape.
The Front entrance and reception area is the only thing nice.
This hotel is a waste of good money expecting more for less. I would not return there. They do not respect your privacy and when discussed if they don't like your opinion they just throw you out. Bad Management
Yeah no never again. First off got here gave us a room on the 8th floor. Got to the room sorry wasn t even closed and guess what?! Someone s belongings and mess were all over the place. Called downstairs said they would upgrade but yet our room was the best upgrade to have. Well then they moved us to a new room a few floors higher. The room was empty but the bathroom was gross and left with pee and trash in the tub. So I called back down stairs they sent housekeeping. Then I walked back down because of course an hour past and still no keys for our new room. But supposedly they got caught up and told me they would bring them personally. As another 30 minutes went by I figured out the fridge wasn t cooling so ha guess what manager told me the worker would be up to look at this. Well guess what another hour has passed and no guy insight. The room is really warm. Glad I brought my fan from home. Not to forget there s some flying bugs all over the patio & sliding glass doors.
Horrible location, mold in the rooms and obnoxious smells throughout the facility. There are a lot of scent machines hidden throughout but cant hide it.
The elevators were slow and didnt work very well, one was out of service during a busy convention, used the stairs a lot which did not look to have been cleaned in a long time; trash and sticky.
Go anywhere else!!!!!
Cool spot. It lost a star for me because of the roach in my room, and the stupid loud construction that ruined my days there. I got the hotel to relax and watch movies on the beach with a bad bath tub. Can't do that with a tile grinder above you. Stay away until they finish renovations.
The elevators didn't work very well, but other than that was a very nice place.
A resort? Hah! What a joke. This hotel is outdated. Hallways smell like fresh piss and chicken, what a welcoming scent. Don't expect to find a parking spot as it is EXTREMELY limited with 50 parking spots at most. If you have a lifted truck you might not be able to park at all because the garage has really low ceilings making you feel slightly claustrophobic. The elevator can fit 5-8 people snugly and takes "getting to know your neighbors" to a whole new level. Once off the elevator, you can smell harsh cleaning products along the way to your room. Be careful when you shut the door because it has to be closed a certain way to make sure you actually close the door. The sheets on the bed are paper thin and feels so rough and old. The toilet paper is seriously thin and equivalent to cheap gas station restroom toilet paper. The shower had shelves or something ripped off and rust stains. The whole room was just disgusting and in need of a total makeover. I have no idea how this "resort" is still open or how they landed 4 stars. Avoid at all costs. It's just a bigger version of a crack motel.

Sliding door extremely hard to open, metal strip across interior of sliding door. ( Wheelchair couldnt get to balcony, exterior balcony light missing bare wires exposed, black mold on inside wall fixtures in bathroom chrome peeling. Sheets dirty.

The hotel does not really seem wheelchair accessible from many points. On the 2nd floor, the access ramp to get to the door was too small to fit a wheelchair and once accessed, in order to get to the floor you had to use stairs. The room view was nice, however the hotel is currently under construction.
Decent hotel in a good location. The reception staff is very friendly and there is always something going on in the bar. A little tip: Instead of the parking lot (to the right of the hotel) I would recommend the parking lot to the left of the hotel !!
Everything is great, almost. The traffic is so loud it is nearly unbearable. The hotel is right on a busy road and the windows of the room on the that side of the hotel are not properly sealed. The traffic is as loud as if you were trying to sleep on the sidewalk. Everything otherwise is great, but if you want to actually get sleep at a hotel, good luck.
desk staff rood and uncaring to get you in room in a timely manner..elevators are a joke for volume of people wait or carry bags up stairs.. beautiful building nice grounds. great security
Came for drinks and was allowed to use their pool. It was nice. The pool has a deep end unlike a lot of pools in daytona.
Clean rooms and good view. Staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was a little pricey, but had cheaper options nearby.
No jacuzzi except in the spa which you had to make appt for 15 min. Bar closed early. No honeymoon or jacuzzi suites. Prices could be much better for what you pay.
Had a meeting here. Room was nice and the facility was right on the water. Beautiful view of the ocean on the patio during break. Nice facilities.
Do not pass up an opportunity to stay here, and do not fall victim to the surrounding high price chain resorts.

I had the pleasure of visiting this hotel a few years back and the experience was great now fast forward present day hotel accommodations were terrible, mildew rooms, ac leaks, and very demeaning hotel management. The hotel general manager was very rude and condescending. I do not recommend this hotel especially if you are a person of color.

I feel like if you're staying at the resort you shouldn't have to pay for parking and we ordered from room service my breakfast was awful. It tasted like fish, like they use the same grease.

Elevators are a joke. Takes forevvvvvver to get back and forth from your room if you don't get lost in one of the staircases without door handles. Staff in hotel are extremely rude, and most staff don't seem to care too much about the guests. The guys parking cars were very hard workers. Nothing about this hotel is 4 star other than the looks of lobby and banquet halls. Cleaning people left our door open and let elevator shut on my 5 yr old as we tried to get in, and they never reopened door, just went on their way. When you pull up you feel like there should be security guards outside because of the people laundering around the entrance and parking garage. Would NOT recommend! Stay in Ormand beach or further towards ponce inlet. Much nicer places.

Roofing fell onto my head while I was making my way to the pool. No hot tub over priced.
I recently had a family reunion at this resort and I had a blast. The heated pool is amazing and very relaxing. The rooms have great accommodations for the whole family. The entire hotel is built beautiful and the architecture is a site to behold.
Have stayed here a few different times, keep giving them another chance. We will not be staying again! When booking you get charged for the fees, and then get charged again when you actually stay, their website says there is a $50 a night charge per room which is actually $100 a night per room, your deposit is NOT on hold like they tell you, they actually take it out and have to wait till when ever they feel like releasing it (I wanted 1 month my last visit, finally they had to mail me a check). The coffee machine did not work, the tub did not drain and there has been the same note on the balcony for a year saying not to use at certain times do to painting. We have been there 3 times in the last year and a half and still have not seen any painting being done. The maid we talked to was rude. The best part of the stay was actually the valet workers, they were fast, nice and friendly.
The staff was all friendly and the rooms were nice. Our flight didn't leave till 6 at night and the hotel let us keep our wristbands to enjoy the pool and beach access and store our luggage while we waited! Awesome! Thanks guys!
Nice property, excellent restaurant, poor security personal and vehicle broken into whole valet- no break in which means car was left open. Nothing resolved until 2nd day when management apologized for the inconvenience.

Check in process at first was easy, but over several days we were asked for more Information, documentation and were mostly harassed. While trying to work through the ever-changing new requirements, each person we dealt with contradicted the other. Reservations contradict front desk staff who contradict supervisors who contradict managers. Enjoy our stay? Hardly. On top of this upon entering my room I found a half eaten pastry in the microwave along with a dirty pot that I can only assume was used to cook meth. But hey, they have me 2 free drink tickets so I guess that makes it all better. The toilet obviously hadn t been cleaned. I found 1 of the cleaning staff and another staff member in my room with the door shut carrying on a conversation when my rom was supposed to have been being cleaned. Needless to say I m not impressed.
I will not be staying at this hotel again! Old facilities in poor conservation, the hotel is not worth the price it charges. Cobra resort fee and offers an old, lonely pool! Room service and service was poor, I stayed for 5 nights and half the days room service did not appear, simply even asking at the front desk and advising that they had not cleaned the room. I m currently staying here and so far it s been a fabulous stay. They provide towels at the pool which is amazing!! The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and cleaned daily. Only complaint is the elevators - they re slow but you re on vacation so who cares?! Also, water is available that has fresh fruits in it that is nice to have after a long walk on the streets. I d come back for sure!
It's not terrible but it's not great, rooms are a little outdated. We got a good deal on a room with a phenomenal view. Small showers and rust on the balcony fencing. We still enjoyed our stay.
Was okay. No hot tub unless you pay for "spa package" Room was nice staff was nice. Elevator was broken whole time other one kept breaking throughout the stay.
Beautiful property and great service. Only downside is the poolside bar and grill closes early.

Good hotel, beds were comfy but the hotel looked like it was falling apart on the outside. The maintenance needs to be up to date. Hotel is right on the beach and numerous eating places and souvenir shops at the front doors of the hotel.
This hotel has been a nightmare from the beginning. They canceled reservation then they were on again, then canceled again. My room was paid for and because my expectations are that I want good customer service, I was told that my expectations were to high and that they could not meet them. They canceled my room and I was not able to to secure a room after they canceled the room. This hotel has put me and my daughter harms way after driving 27 hours to get to this hotel. The GM, Ted, was informed that I knew that I would not be able to obtain a room and said that he understood, but that I could not stay there. I have never been so insulted by any hospitality establishment, and this hotel definitely does not know what hospitality it.
This place would have received 1 star if weren't for the sift action and cordial attitude displayed by the staff at the time of necessity. Our allotted room looked really nice and prim until my wife spotted a dead cockroach. Given that, I had already set up bedding for our infant, I disposed the dead insect.
In sometime, we went on a roach hunt and found 4 other dead cockroaches. This lead me to call the guest services. In 5-10 minutes time, they had us move the new room. They inspected the new room along with us which was thoughtful. Apart from this gross incident, the room and the restrooms were clean. The
room services did a good job in replacing used towels.
The parking is an issue here especially if you checking in here at night. The beach is a stone throw away from the hotel.

Parking was terrible. Sink was slow to drain so you couldn't do what you needed to do in the bathroom. Contacted hotel staff twice once by phone once in person, was promised someone would be up to repair it, never happened. Room service didn't bring the proper food, then took forever to being the correct food. By them, one person was already done eating. Lunch at the grill was ooverpriced. Trying to leave, the elevator situation was a nightmare. There was no cart. Ended up using the stairs with all of our luggage. Lady at checkout barely spoke.
Value for money excellent. Beautiful and large swimming pool by the sea.
