Ocean Breeze Waterpark Review

Loved this place! I will say however it wasn't the best idea for me. It was too much walking, which I should've expected, I've got issues w/ pain in my lower back & hips (& sometimes in my middle back) but all the walking that I had to do to get to these AWESOME slides really did a number on this old girl!! But all was worth it for my little girl cuz she had an absolute blast!! The prices were not too terribly bad!!

We went for a function and had discount tickets. Nice lazy river and kids area. We didn't get to spend time in the other areas but $35 is definitely a little steep.

My Family and I decided to go to Ocean Breeze post hurricane Dorian. I had purchased Ocean Breeze tickets with the meal voucher from Groupon. The weather was perfect. Even though at our time of arrival not everything was operating. So Ocean Breeze charged $9.99 per person for admission and gave free tickets for tomorrow or 2020. Although I had Groupon we still got the free tickets which was a plus. As the day went on all rides was operating. We had an awesome time. Thank you Ocean Breeze for excellent service see y'all next year!!!

I wouldn't give any stars if I could. I am a local and for years I would buy a pass. I haven't in a couple of years. I bought a pass this year to go with my Grandkids and now the wave pool is surrounded by cabanas that are hardly ever used. Sit up Chairs are lined up behind them for guests to sit in and maybe 5 loungers on each side and the loungers are in the corner. All you see now is the back of empty cabanas. I use to be able to lay on a lounger by the wave pool and watch the kids now I cannot see them at all. The cabanas are all around the park and unless you rent a cabana the view of the water is almost none. The lazy river is cool but that is the only area in the park you might be able to find a lounge chair. The rides are great though. I spend more time standing now. Not so much a relaxing day anymore.

Not a huge fan, good prices but the slides are relatively sow, more focused towards younger kids.

Fun place for kids. Can be very noisy. Not enough parking space for a Saturday crowd.

Had a great time with the baby. Very clean and friendly.

Its beautiful here but expensive and it shouldn't be cause the Price of entry should give you something thats real talk you ask

Lots to do, prices are ok - certainly if you can make a day of it.

Great place but the slides are outdated. They need a major slide upgrade and maybe add on some more adult slides. Its more of a family/teenager/toddler water park. I took my 6 year old son here and it was great! He had a blast. The lifeguards were on spot and did a great job! I felt that my son was safe here even when out of my site for a few minutes.

Highly recommend, great place for family fun or large groups just to chill and have a great time

Went on a Friday night. They had "Finding Dory" scheduled to play right beside the wave pool. Our kids enjoyed themselves, and the lines weren't terribly long. Food is expensive, however.

Generally not too crowded and always a good time for friends, family or solo. Not too pricey but if you're going more than once I'd recommend a season pass.

Had an Absolute Ball !!!!! Kids played all day, and I enjoyed the lazy river.

So much fun! Even better with all the expansion they have done. The one walkway to the lazy river is very hot in the summer so bring shoes to that area

We visit Ocean Breeze whenever we vacation in Virginia Beach. This year was different because the slides were closed due to the Virginia governor s COVID-19 restrictions. If allowed, I know Ocean Breeze would ve been able to handle guests on the slides because there were numerous employees keeping everyone safe in the attractions that were open (namely the wave pool). There were employees going around and wiping down ladder rails and common areas multiple times in order to make sure everyone was having fun and being safe. Even though the slides were closed, the wave pool and TropiCool Pool were not over-crowded, and both pools were very clean. I noticed that some public pools can be somewhat dirty and/or overwhelmingly smell of chemicals. The pools here were very clean and did not have that overwhelming chlorine smell. I also didn t get pink eye from the pool chemicals like I do at some other pools.

The employees were very friendly, and it was evident that they were thoroughly trained in COVID-19 precautions. This park knows how to keep you safe while letting you have as much fun as possible.

I love coming here to get a break from the real world

Ocean Breeze is one of the greatest attractions in the Va Beach area. Even with the slides closed due to Covid, this place offers nothing short of a good time. A season pass is a must if you are local!

Definitely zero covid 19 measures in place except for a light hearted have you been around anyone with covid or experiencing covid symptoms? No? Okay go in at the entrance. Only the life guards have mask on. The people handling food and handing out money either don t have a mask on or it s doing soooo much work protecting their chins. No capacity limits. People absolutely everywhere. Loved the tiny stickers on the ground saying keep six feet apart and they re about three feet from each other. Oh and there s an enter/exit gate block for the wave pool. Thanks? Not sure what that s doing. The lazy river all inner tubes in a pile with each other but one side was clean and the other sanitized . I was at that park for about four hours and didn t see them cleaned once. If you re not going to actually clean, just say that. They act like there s all these covid measures in place but there s none whatsoever. If there s a place you can get covid, it s here. We had fun though.

Price is a bit steep but overall it's a nice fairly clean place.

So much fun, and something to do for every age. The season passes are totally worth it!

Great family waterpark. Free parking. Entry fee can be expensive. Best to get a Seasons Pass if possible. Meal plans are a good idea as well. Food is pricey too. The only allow bottle water from home . Kids under 3 are free. Lots of staff and life guards. Free life jackets.

Perfect park for kids not afraid of water. If you have kids with the get nervous around water wouldn't do this park. I've got to dare devils do for us it was absolutely perfect. My only issues was not many slides for my 3yr old to ride. He like to ride the same ride as his 13 yr old brother and this park does not accommodate that. So back to water country for us when this pandemic is over

Very nice park..went twice this past weekend..food is a little pricey but good overall enjoyed my visits...one thing i didnt like is we went there on sat and paid only $50 for 2 ppl...and went back on sunday and had to pay $82 for 2 ppl..but as i said i still enjoyed my visits

Overall it's amazing. The water slides are closed because of Covid, but that didn't stop us from having fun! We usually get the Groupon but they didn't have it this year. We always come here after we visit Virginia Beach. Always a good time. We love the wave pool.

Kids love the lazy pool and food.... I love the customer service

The bathrooms were the cleanest they have ever been. New rafts and life vests. We had a great time.

Great water park I wish there were more slides, but that's ok. Reminds me of the water park that I went to when I was younger. Except this place's a lot cleaner, lol.

My family and I absolutely love this place. We get season passes every year and come at least 2 times a week. The season passes are well worth the money you pay and sometimes you can get a meal pass with it. The food here is also very good. With the meal pass you get a huge variety of meals to choose from. Highly recommend this place for family fun!

Bought tickets at the bank drove 4 hours to bring my kids what kind of place is like this closed on weekends for me no stars

We came here to celebrate our daughter's birthday, and all of us had fun. We'll definitely be back.

Rides are fun and everything's kid friendly. The food and greets are a bit over priced, but all amusement parks have that problem .everything was clean.

This is one of the best water parks that we've to. My family loved the slides and I loved the lazy river.

Absolutely one of the best water parks I've ever been to! They had so much in the way of rides and options for the children, and plenty of relaxing space for the adults. The Lazy River was fantastic, so relaxing, and the rides were a ton of fun! We went as a group with our company, so we didn't have his long lines as they normally have, and the whole Adventure was wonderful! The rides are amazing! My favorite was the wave pool, but they have eight water slides to choose from as well! Highly highly recommend for a hot summer day!

We had a wonderful time on our honeymoon because of our visit to Ocean Breeze! We especially enjoyed the lazy river and wave pool!

Season passes: A prorated system needs to be in place. I shouldn't have to pay full price for half a season...may not go at all until next year because for that reason. This is a simple IT solution or make the season passes "yearly" passes prorated by the week...not hard. After I go to the park I'll give a more detailed review.

The food is HORRIBLE! We did have lots of fun, but it seems a little over priced. The season passing am sure is worth it if you live close by.

Awesome place for the family. Not to crowded and tons of water attractions. My son loves the wave pool, slides, and lazy river. Can't wait to go again. Definitely burying the souvenir cups are worth it.

The kid loved it. Shoutout to staff. Friendly. Cooperative. Even fished out my Apple Watch after it flew off my wrist on a slide! Highly recommend!
