Ocean Breeze Waterpark Review

Can bring snacks into park as long as you have children under 3 years old !

I went for my Daughter's birthday. We rented the VIP seating...absolutely disgusting!! They charge over $80...the seats/cushions were filthy. We tried flipping it over, even worse. The staff did give us towels (at no charge) to put over the cushions, but still not worth the money or discomfort. I was extremely disappointed.
This was a rip off and I wouldnt dare reccomend this to anyone.

ocean breeze is a great alternative to water country in Williamsbugh...it is just as fun with less lines & a cheaper price.

Super fun! My command funded us all a trip here and what a treat it was. The water park is large with awesome slides, tube rides, and a fantastic lazy river. My friends and I had a blast exploring the park and beating the heat. Lines were never too long and there is always the option of the breeze pass to skip the line. Concessions are pricey, but that's to be expected at an amusement/water park. All in all, had a great time at Ocean Breeze.

Great place for everyone. Busy at noon time. Parking lot has cart to take you to the entrance. Online ticket is cheaper than regular ticket. Very friendly staffs and helpful. Good choice

Expansive water park close to beach, Virginia Aquarium and campgrounds. VERY child-friendly. Lots of slides, wave pool and Lazy River. FREE parking, FREE sunscreen and FREE tubes. Downside: smoker unfriendly. One smoking area in a remote corner of the park. You can only bring water bottles in; no food or other drinks. Insider tip: go to customer service and rent a U-shaped tube to ride the Lazy River. Season passes are reasonably priced; we get them every year.

We went both days last weekend and had a blast! Even though the slides are closed down (which is one hundred percent out of their control), we had a great time. We have a 4 year old and a 1 year old. Our 4 year old would probably live in the kiddie pool and wave pool if she had the choice, but our 1 year old still hates the water (we're hoping she gets used to it!). Finding safe and fun activities during a pandemic is difficult, but Ocean Breeze is perfect during this frustrating pandemic time. Everything felt clean and safe. The employees were amazing, as every employee we encountered had great attitudes and even better customer service. Can you imagine wearing a mask ALL DAY in this brutal summer heat? The employees deserve mad props for sticking to safety guidelines and working so hard. Other park patrons respected the social distancing, and it wasn't difficult to stay in your "bubble" if that's what you look to do. We bought season passes, which was a no brainer since the pass will go into next summer too. Looking forward to going back next weekend. Thanks, Ocean Breeze!

Staff in the water area do not really say anything to larger kids rough play with middle sized kids they do not know. It seems they are afraid to speak to them. Then it seems as if they are on a power trip with the nicier kids. I noticed this unfairness with many kids though it was only from a few lifeguards it still was not fun to watch. I haven t been back since my last visit. We now go to the water park in Williamsburg. So, I would not recommend it. If near there and you just want something to do, save your money and try the area s miniature golf. Staff there are generally nice and responsive.

It s tiny, it s dangerous and it s dirty. The slides were awful, I tried to ride 3 rides with my niece and we fell out of each of the tubes and ended up sliding down on either our faces, elbows or backs and we both got bruises, scrapes and cuts and the life guard (young dumb kid like all of their staff), told us uh that s not how you ride the ride. Um really?! Because that s exactly what I wanted to do. On top of that, all the green carpeting around the park was old and dirty. The bathrooms were a joke and they were filthy as well. The only thing that was decent was the lazy river but even that was lame. It was a HUGE waste of money. And I got a laugh when I found out that some people from six flags owns this joke of a water park and we all know six flags is famous for unnecessary deaths with faulty equipment. The parking is also a joke..dirt gravel, really? And no real high fences to keep people from getting out or passing things to each other but your lame Park is going to metal detect me before I go in??? The kid doing it was also a joke, I ve flown a hundred times and how he detected made me laugh and scoff at him. This whole place was a joke. The actual music they played was okay. The eating situation needs Jesus, you have to fight for tables, dirty. Their staff is forced to cook with burning hot ovens and NO ac! That s not humane. Also the check out people have these measly fans that barely go .2 of a mile fast, so they re sweating profusely. The lifeguards though....are probably the worst. They need to be better trained. It was a huge waste of my money and I wish I could get that back because I feel robbed of money and time!! My niece and I left early because it was so terrible. Worst $110 I ve ever spent. And for barely 3 hours! Also the jets fly every 12 seconds over the park and it s ridiculousky loud, so the location is pure garbage. I do not recommend this place. WATER COUNTRY IS WAYYYYY BETTER!!

AWESOME WATER SLIDES i could literally live there at night the wave pool is beautiful like a beach.

Great place to go since the pools are closed at the hotels. Kid love it. Not too crowded.

I had the worst experience today. I have special needs and I was in one of the pools some random kid tripped me. It was a good thing my husband was there but anyway my day was over. Never coming there again I wasn't safe.

Run by a bunch of snotty teens with no customer service. Most acted like i was being a pain for any question i asked. I know not to talk to lifeguards as they have to be observant but these kids were just sitting around staring into their water proof phones. There was an awesome kid that was cleaning up and he was extremely helpful. Wish i would've thought to get his name. We were done with literally every ride in 2 hours and i didnt want to dissapoint the kids so i spent the rest of my money at the go kart place in the same park. Everywhere in the water park it says you get a discount if you go to both. Thats only if you buy another $55 ticket on top of the $35 i spent at the water park. Shout out to bathroom cleaning kid, the girl at the go kart ticket booth, and the guy that ran the family track that day. Everyone else needs to find another job. I actually had a kid tell my daughter that it sucks to work there when dhe asked about an application. A lady was on these bumper boat things and the engine went out on her and her son about 30 seconds in and he did absolutely nothing. I had to flag my son doen so he could push her back. Go to water country where they hire ppl who give a flip about their jobs.

Please open during the week we are from Pennsylvania and drove five hrs to come here and was closed

We loved this place! We came down to VA Beach for a short vacation, and ended up coming here twice since the kids loved it so much. My only recommendation is to double check your receipts if you pay in person as I was charged for 3 adults 1 kid, when it should have been 2 adults 2 kids. Also bring water shoes, the second day my sons toes were bleeding so bad we had to leave early. Alot of walking and soft water soaked feet = ground becomes a cheese grater. The staff was nice. Tons of tables and was able to enjoy an alcoholic drink under the umbrella. I would go again.

This place is Awesome. Go to VB every year and never skip going to the Park many slides. And lazy River is the best. Crowds aren't that bad. Food and drinks are good. Highly recommend this Water Park.

The lifeguards are on top of things. Park is fun but things are a little over priced.

The first time I went was last year on 7/18. I had the best 18th birthday at the best water park IN VIRGINIA BEACH! I mostly love jungle falls and the adventure river despite having a few mishaps on my 18th birthday, but thats just life. 5/5 Will be getting season pass soon!

Good for the summer if you want to go and ride some water rides and has a wave pool which goes off every ten minutes or maybe at least once a hour. Is a good bonding experience with your family. Also there is a lazy river. Hope you have a great time there.

Had a very good day. I recommend a cabana rental. So refreshing to get out of the sun.

Very funny, a lot of things for kids; even a small "carrousel" for toddlers.
Slides for adults. It's not the best water park ever, but you'll have a good day for sure

Decent value. Could use some improvement in line management. Music is played painfully loud. Things that will get better with experience, I'm sure.

Season tickets, good prices two visits makes season tickets reasonable. Kids love this park.

Love this waterpark. It s a little old but they are constantly working on adding new things to keep it interesting every summer. I wish they did some parents night out events so there aren t kids some nights.

Definitely get the season pass for the family as soon as they come available. They are usually sold at the mall in Chesapeake. You can go during the week and I would definitely recommend the morning time. Tons of events for kids of all ages in the evenings during the summer. Can't say enough good things about Ocean Breeze Waterpark.

DO NOT waste your money on the cabanas!! On August 21 I rented a 6 person cabana which is $126. Chair pillows have mildew all over and bird poop. Spider webs and eggs were everywhere. I understand outside elements happpening but as much as they are charging they should be able to afford to clean or purchase new. My biggest complaint was that we waited TWO HOURS for our food with the cabana service again $126 I shouldn't have to wait no more than the 45 minutes stated on the menu! The kids had fun on all the slides and other things but I will not be wasting my money again and hope this saves others from wasting theirs.

Love Ocean Breeze. Great day out if you're looking for a beach alternative.

We went early June School wasn't out yet and the park was wonderful the kids had a great time!

What a fun place! In so far as water parks go this is a good one. The only real drawback is that the lazy river is a bit too stressful. There are lots of waterfalls and buckets to dumb cold water on you. When I'm floating around a lazy river I want to relax, I mean "Lazy" is right there in the name.

My experience at the waterpark itself was great, I am here currently here with my fiance and four other individuals. The only bad part of my visit was the service I received at River Run Grill, it was very, very unprofessional!! While Im calling to my fiance to come to order his food I turn back around to the counter to see the " order taker" and grill person making faces!! I wanted to walk off but I kept my composure and still order.... Needless to say I wont ever come back to this particular food spot!!! Just a bunch of horrible people....

Love this place for the kids not many things open right now understandably still enjoyable though

The hurricane tube ride is DANGEROUS. On the very 1st part of the slide my tube went far up and flipped over, crashing me into the concrete slide below. I bruised my shoulder, wrist, and hip. I have included a picture of my hip one week after, when the swelling FINALLY went down. My husband's tube did the same but his injuries were not as severe as mine. They have life guards in between each part of the slides but they don't check to see if your okay, they laugh and say it happens to everyone. There were about 4 ppl in the wading pool, waiting to go on the next slide so they really cannot pay attention. My concern is what do they do if someone hits their head. I could've very well hit my head and been unconscious. I would've drowned. What if I had been a child??? I have not been to Ocean Breeze for almost 10 years before this and sadly it will probably be more before I return and I probably will never bring my children. This place is NOT safe.

Kids loved it. There were plenty of rides appropriate for my 6, 7 and 8 year old. Even my youngest who is can't swim yet. It was a busy Saturday so some help getting tubes for the rides would be appreciated. Friendly lifeguards.

Had such a great time with my son over the summer it's simply a wonderful place to go and enjoy .-

Lots of fun, lots of slides and rides. Love the wave pool. Plenty to eat and drink

$20 after 4 pm. Not crowded. My kids (boys 9,11,&13) loved it.

The place is clean but if it rains they leave the rides close for about 2 hours after it stops raining. If you see clouds don't even bother coming you're throwing your money away.

While at the water park today, I seen the AMAZING lifeguards in action. A guest had passed out or something had happen over by the pizza area. All the staff worked very calmly and in a timely manner and very professional. They got everyone off the rides and out of the wave pool until they could get the situation under control. No one was in a panic, or freaking out. All the staff worked very well together , from lifeguards, to guest relations and everyone on deck. You should be very proud of your staff. I'm very happy to be a pass holder of Ocean Breeze. Kim Franklin

It was an ordeal to try and get the money wrist band but otherwise we had fun

Everything was awesome and surprisingly the food was too LOL. But what I didn't like was the fact that my daughter and I got on a ride with the tube and we almost went over the side of the ride it was completely and utterly terrifying! I advised management so hopefully that ride will be closed down or upgraded with an enclosure on the complete side of the wall and not just certain areas. It really felt like a final destination moment it was horrible and my daughter is only two.

Had a good time here with the family. Kids under 48" are restricted in some if the slides
