OC Fair & Event Center Review

Very beautiful. Would recommend it to others for banquets!

Cleaner than that other fair but the cost for anything to ride or do is just nuts. $5 just to let each kid do a water gun to maybe get a stuffed toy. Just 1 thing $5 or more at this fair

It is the expo with the greatest variety of information on weapons of different calibers

I have no idea how this place stays in business. It's not like we live in the middle of Nebraska with little entertainment. With all of the amusement parks nearby, and how EXPENSIVE everything is at the Fair, it's gotta be a wash in cost.

Parking $10, Ticket $12....
$7-7.50 PER RIDE (yes, you read that right). They looked safe and somewhat fun.
$5 PER GAME (standard carnival games).

FOOD: I paid $8.50 for french fries with garlic on then of what would be considered a medium size portion at a fast food place. Again, we live in Orange County.... one of the "foodie" capitals of the country. *Everything* found at the Fair can be purchased somewhere else at almost half the price.

ANIMALS: Yeah... I'm not excited to see animals kept in small pens in heat for the amusement of people. It's worse than a zoo. At least there they attempt to give them an environment that keeps them mentally entertained. Again, we have the Santa Ana Zoo.

That's $75. Knott's Berry Farm entry is $50 and you'll make it through at least 10 rides even on the busiest of days. Just sayin'...

The OC Fair is more educational than the LA County Fair and I really love the interactive exhibits on gardening, agriculture, art for the kids, as well as adults .... Much cleaner and easier to do everything in one day too...

I have to say the only thing o disliked this year of the fair is that at the entrance they weren't organized at all and ppl were not shown to the right direction. Also once they closed down the cops or security were rude walking you out. Besides that I loved how there was so many vendors and rides.

Clean place good police presence to keep the potheads from smoking.

Oc fair hack... always say you are going to the swap mEet. Save your 9.00 for a beer.

Never attended the O.C FAIR but did attend the "haunt" and i feel extremely robbed. Wasnt scary and they didnt seem to care about the guests.

Everything is overpriced. The rides are pretty fun.

I love coming to the OC fair. Just like any typical fair parking sucks, prices are insane for things, and it's crowded af but yet you always end up going. With that being said it was still alot of fun.

We normally come here every year! Well this year was not good at all. The food is expensive, and I'm not complaining about that. My complaint is we all ordered something different, and all our plates were cold, and gross! The places we ordered from were jammed packed with business and the food was still nasty and cold! I'll think twice about coming next year! I'll look for another place to spend my millions!

Really big fair with lots to do that come with really high prices

Very disappointing. Only 4 rows of items for sale. A couple of baked goods. Nothing exciting. I think it's the first time we've ever went and didn't buy a thing.

Normally I go to the LA County Fair because it's kind of a tradition for my family. But someone had given me tickets and I decided to go. I absolutely loved it! I took my child and the first thing we did was go to the livestock. He loved getting all the animals and identifying each one, and saying what sounds they make. I will definitely come back next year.

This is the best free-market in California. Everything from from ato z is there.

Went for a concert and was disgusted by the fair. The people, the food, the conditions... ugh. Never again. Lol

Not what it used to be years ago. We hadn't been for a long time. The quality of offerings was poor, nothing unique and nothing special about the prices.

Had a great time. Lots of shopping and things to do. Great atmosphere and the amphitheater was perfect.

I would recommend this place to everyone. We had an amazing time at the fair

Great food and actions for all, however a bit expensive

you need to be warned. we parked and entered through the "green gate". it took 20 minutes to drive there and 52 minutes to get in. i don't know what they don't add more check points but there were two lines of 500-800 in each. the fair was nice. see the exhibit halls and of course all the weird fried food. not a ride goes but the exhibits were pretty nice. they rent strollers for kids and power units for seniors.
we arrived at 10:20. parked and in line with tickets at 10:25. we got into the fair at 11:15.

You'll want to try to figure out what gate you need to be at before going to make parking parking easier.

It's been a good fair this year. We went to see a (Paul McCartney &) Wings cover band play in the "Hangar." It was a good show and the price was right.

Take the OCTA Express to the fair. Round trip is $4 and you get a coupon for $3 admission into the fair. Can't beat it.

same fair, different year...go check out the alaskan racing pigs when you go. they are so cute! other then that, get ready to spend lots of $ on food & games. carnival games are so damn rigged..sigh

$9 to park for the night market. They sell an eclair their that is in the shape of a man's genitalia they are cream filled just so you know

OC Night Market was a waste of time and money, 85% of it was Asian food trucks. Find another day to go when there's better events.

Even though it was free to get in on Wednesday if you brought five cans of food, the prices for merchandise and food was way to expensive. A lower medium income family would have a hard time eating or buying any souvenirs. Example a plain old hotdog would set you back $10.00 if you wanted a flavored drink like a small icee add another $3.65 so now your up to $13.65 and you still haven't added the tax onto the order after tax which is about $1.10 bringing the total to $14.75 and your lower medium income family size is 5 husband wife and 3 kids. If every one eats you're going to take a big hit setting you back $73.75 this family of five may want to rethink sampling any of the overpriced overrated foods at the fair because doing so may mean they won't be eating for the rest of the month but sampling the food at the fair is half of the reason for going to the fair. Merchandise is the same I purchased some tweezers if I would have waited and got them at Rite Aid I would have saved myself $5.00 but I didn't wait I paid $8.00 for an item I could have gotten for $2.00 or less. The funny thing is those tweezers where made in China so I may of even been able to get at the Dollar Tree an saved even more money. The only people that can truly enjoy the Fair are rich people. Also be careful if you are one of those people who have a hard time saying NO because in several of the buildings where they sell miscellaneous stuff be careful because they have high perssure sales people working the crowd.

All very well, it is a nice place the truth, they have to come, so they live that beautiful experience

OC fair is always fun for the whole family. Had a good time except for the family PITA.

The fried food, OMG... Live music... The OCTA roundtrip bus ride and entry deal is amazing

PLENTY OF EVENTS BUT BAD ORGANIZED & NIGHTMARE TO PARK OR LEAVE.

Crazy rides. Crazy food. Free parking. Cool petting zoo and reptile exhibit. Tons of (adult) drinks. Can't complain. Go when it's not busy to make the most of it!

My first time there with my family. Everyone has a great time and the food was delicious.

OC fair always fun,lots of venues to appeal to"kids"of all ages! Eat your way thru, shop or visit the carnival,or different displays/collections. There are concerts and free entertainment going on every day; animals to visit. Eating is pricey, but it's just once a year.

Lots of rides , games , food and drinks, . Lots of nice things to see ..its fun

Boring, Pomona is where the action lays, people. Plus OC got nothing on all the fine latina heina's that Strut their fine stuff at the. S.G.V. Pomona Fairgrounds, Orale pues!

I loved it more because Thursdays they have specials for children for 30 dollars they can go to all the games from 10 in the morning to 8 at night and they have a lot of variety of food and especially fun for all ages

If you ever need assistance dont bother asking their staff. They are useless!!
