Such an iconic event. The reasonable admission price ensures a day off fun viewing all the free attractions. If you wanted to spend a few bucks and ride some rides...I say "go for it"! Games cost as much as the rides, so keep that in mind. Was kind of hard to see the animals as they had garbage bins blocking the pens. Overall , me, my 1 year old and my 50 year old folks had a blast!

Went on opening day. Was free between 12 and 1 but was extended because of the long lines. Once they fixed the security issue we all got in quickly. Previously went to the SD County Fair and this has nothing on it. The animal exhibit was small and only showcased chickens and turkeys. They did have a pig race and showing of sheep competition that was rather boring because the micophone was muffled and could not hear. It was fun. Channel 7 news was there covering. A lot smaller then expected.

Parking management is a total joke!

Parking management is a total joke!
Took us 45 min from highway exit to parking spot.
Very hazardous to stay idle in the highway.
Avoid going there at all costs!

This place is really fun & has good deals on some days . It can be expensive but you can expect that from fairs . Also you can take your own snacks which is great ! I had called for an emergency cause some guy was having a seazure or something and they were sooooooo rude to me ! I was just trying to help that man .

I traveled far to go to this fair. It is much better than the smaller town fairs that I m used to in Northern California. This fair had a good amount of rides and even more food vendors. The food and dessert vendors were mostly separated, which I like to find what to eat easier. I took the bus from the ARTIC center in Anaheim, on an express bus route. This was the most convenient. And, the OC MTA gave me a nice discount to get into the fair. Why wait in traffic and have to find a parking space right?

I had several small plates from different vendors, everything was what I expected, except for the much higher prices than I m used to. Prices for food and dessert were above Disneyland, so be ready with your plastic. I would go again on a day trip.

One of the best county fairs I ve been to! Feels more like a festival than a county fair. Everything was clean and well kept. My only complaint would be the lack of local food vendors. Everything was your typical fair type food.

Fun place to hang out for a day. Walking around looking at all the goats, pigs, cows was so amazing. Vendors had a big variety. The pig races was my favorite. Also there s a big selection of fried foods. It wasn t crowded at all.

Food and games were good, but the way the ponies were treated for the pony rides was depressing. They had no room to breathe and it was way too hot to make them give rides. Don't even get me started on the livestock. I have since become a vegetarian because of how horrified I was, not even lying. But Trevor Noah was there and was the saving grace. Would have given 5 stars (because of Trevor) if it weren't for the horrid animal conditions.

Fabulous arena with large free parking and spacious venues and stage lighting. I visited the arena during the Vietnamese Lunar celebrations Tet which features colorful displays, elaborate traditional costumes and performances in addition to a variety of tasty Asian cuisines. The only drawbacks are the limited numbers of restrooms and long wait for parking shuttles. Otherwise, this is a perfect venue for large gatherings.

Tickets were cheap, but man. It is very expensive inside. U get 40 points or whatever it is for 50$. And each ride is like 12 points per person. Wat a rip off. Only got on like 3 rides, and they weren't even fun. I just kept telling myself it's for the kids. I should if gone to knotts berry farm. With way better rides and all free. Everything inside is way over price. It's scam. I'm not even going to get in the games. We all know those are scams. It's a fair what did I expect. Especially the basketball one. No one ever wins. And I know why. It's so funny. But anyways, it's a rip off Inside.

We are at the Orange County Fair today getting our new Verizon tablet and a new phone. Sabrina was the one that helped us and she was excellent. She answered all our questions and was very knowledgeable. Very pleasant to deal with. She's a keeper!!

I haven't been to the actual fair in more than several years but I do think the Pacific Amphitheatre is a superb venue to see your favorite band.
Excellent seating throughout the entire place and always seems to be affordable. Relatively speaking of course.

The annual OC Fair is a fun event for the whole family. From the midway to the farm animals to the exhibits and the merchant building, there is something for everyone. The kids will enjoy the goats and the sheep and seeing the baby chickens. The adults will enjoy the concert events and also the smash up derby in the arena. The newest gadgets and devices are being hawked by their sellers in the marketplace and one can always find something interesting. The prices of the rides on the midway, at least for me, I found to be on the high side considering how short the ride duration is, but for the kids it is great fun. Overall it's an event that is fun for the whole family. It's always starts in July each year after the 4th of July and depending on the run it can extend into August.

Love it

Danced out the night to Thievery Corporation! My first time to the OC fair. Great venue for daytime and evening events. Conveniently located in the heart of Costa Mesa, with an awesome amphitheater stage. Loved it! Will definitely be back next year!
