The doctors are absolutely amazing and that's why I'm giving them 5 stars!!! But it needs to be brought to someone's attention about receptionist named Megan. She had a horrible attitude towards me & was incredibly rude! She upset me so much, I was shaking. Not something a high risk pregnancy should have to deal with. I see a lot of reviews about a "rude receptionists" & I'm so glad I asked her name. I've used this place for all 3 of my pregnancies (before they were even at this location) and I've loved every doctor I've met. Other than the receptionist, this place is great!

Be very careful with this place, I went here for the Ultrasound. My OB dr. recommended this place because he said my fluid was a bit high. Then after the ultrasound, even nothing wrong with my pregnancy the dr. at Ocstetrix still said she wanted to see me every 2 weeks, I refused because it would cost me 1650 each time instead 300 at my dr office. With my first pregnancy experience, all the bills I paid full up front and kept all the recipients. Luckily I did what i did, after a few weeks I kept receiving bills from Obstetrix office said that I owed them 650. First time, I called them the lady at front desk told me to disregard it because I already paid the full amount. Now a month later they send me another bill and want me to pay them that 650. Just want to warn everyone to be careful and keep all the records incase some shady things like this happen.
I ve been going to Obstetrix Medical Group of Houston - Kingwood since I was 14 weeks pregnant, high risk for pre-eclampsia. I visit every 4 weeks, and I look forward to it every time! I never have to wait more than 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment. The ultrasound techs are always very nice, and they explain everything they re looking at and showing you during the ultrasound! I ve met both of the Samson brothers, and they are so sweet, outgoing, and funny! They always make sure you re doing and feeling well, and they always make sure any questions or concerns you have are answered and tended to! THE BEST!
I go to this office for my pregnancy and the staff is nothing but wonderful! All of the doctors are amazing! I see OLD post about a rude reseptionist and a women who posted something the other day and I can t help but think she didn t know what she was talking about, because I have been going here for my entire pregnancy now and they just got a new receptionist and she and the rest of the front desk staff are always so friendly! I also love the MA s they are always there to answer any of my questions and the little one is always so peppy when I come in!
The office staff could not be sweeter but we had a stressful experience with this office. They messed up the address for insurance information and it came up as out of network. We kept getting ridiculous bills for crazy amounts even though we met our deductible and it was in network. Every time they would call and say we owed a different amount that wasn't accurate. It got to be too stressful, I had to find another place to do an ultrasound.
Not sure what the reviews about a long wait are about. We go weekly and this place is always faster than my OB. I feel really lucky to have such caring people looking out for me and peanut
The clinic itself is very clean and rather stylish. The staff is friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable. I felt comfortable asking any and all questions I needed to, and I was also extremely impressed with the ultrasound tech and the equipment she had available for use. Naturally, the wait for the doctor was much longer than the wait for any other part of the visit, but that's to be expected. My grandfather, aunt, and father own a family practice clinic, and I promise you they aren't just making you wait because they're mean or rude. I recommend Obstetrix for expecting mothers in the area.
The experience here overall has been a good one. They have been mostly kind and have always been quick to send ultrasound photos to my phone (outside of the ones I m given in person). The doctors have always been extremely personable and friendly, as well as most of the receptionists (during my visits). I have had a bit of wait in some of my visits; however, I also understand these offices are busy and I m not the only one being serviced. The only reason I m docking a star is due to poor phone etiquette. I have called the Woodlands location to ask a question and in turn been aggressively cut-off mid sentence. I genuinely hope that lady had a better day after my call instead of continuing to bring that energy to the rest of their clients.
Today s my 2nd appointment with them and they take forever here!!! My first appointment was not a good experience either.....like how some people said some of the techs are dry! she was very dry and pushing on my stomach hard for an ultrasound. But since this place is closer for me for medical reason wise I guess I will have to deal with it for a couple of weeks
So far so good pretty much is very kind. Dr Jaques Samson is a great doctor. I'm not fond of PAs but theres is nice and knowledgeable. I still only want to be seen by a doctor.
I ve been here twice the first time the receptionist was very dry and rude. It took forever after my referral paperwork had been sent over for them to contact me, I had to contact them. The first visit I found out what I was having and after paying $100 I thought I would get some better pictures of my baby...nope. I was told after she wanted to see me back ok no problem. Next visit I called ahead to see if I had to pay anything and was told by one of the ladies there that there was no charge insurance covered it. When I arrived to my appointment only 3-4 hours after calling, I was told by the lady at the front desk i owed $100 for today s visit. I told her I was told by someone in the office that I didn t have to pay. She said who told you that. I told her I didn t get the ladies name but it was someone in their office. After over hearing it was the lady next to her that told me I didn t have to pay when I called that morning . she then said oh well yea I said that but you owe $100 every visit we can bill it to your insurance but if it comes back you ll owe for this visit and your next one. It was very unprofessional. if you tell me I don t have to pay I shouldn t have to. It was very upsetting and I will be contacting someone higher up. I was told by the Dr she would like to see me again needless to say I won t be going back to this unprofessional establishment.
Overpriced and took way too long. Rude receptionist. That other review was right about them coming up with additional fees even though everything's been settled.
I was a little skeptical about this place due to some of the reviews I saw. I had a great experience and walked out with questions as to what some people's expectations must have been to leave a bad review. The place is very nice, clean and everyone there is super friendly. The tech explained everything to me in the ultrasound and my doctor (Amber) was super sweet, answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease since my ultrasound came back with a little issue. They don't give you a print out of the ultrasound pictures but I had an email with 5 pictures and a video literally within 2 hours after my appointment. Some places just have different rules and ways of doing things, and I happened to be very happy with the way they did theirs! I'll be happy to go back.
Dr. Amber Samuel and her staff are absolutely amazing. Being a high risk pregnancy is so scary, but Dr. Samuel puts your mind at such ease. Office wait time is incredible. You check in and are brought back within five minutes. Dr. Samuel is never in a hurry and answers all of my questions. I highly recommend her practice. Five stars all around!!!
The Obstetrix Doctors and staff are the best group in town! I've seen them for two high risk pregnancies and have always had an amazing experience. I even had a billing issue with my insurance and they helped me take care of everything. Plus my 3-D pictures are priceless
Thankful for Dr. Amanda Mularz. She is the best and thanks to her I have beautiful healthy baby boy now. She did great on my cerclage and I always felt like she truly cared on each of my visits. I didn t have to explain my case each appointment, she remember my case which is amazing being how busy this office is. I honestly felt at ease that I was receiving the best care. There was one ultrasound tech who was so sweet and took the time to explain everything I wish I could remember her name. The other tech just did their thing and didn t talk like others mentioned but I never had a bad experience. Front desk was always nice to me as well as my awesome nurse who would take me back.
I just left my first appointment and it was a great experience! I was referred by my regular OB, due to having kidney disease. Dr. Samuel was terrific! He was friendly, and explained everything to us very clearly. His entire team, counselor, front desk ladies made this first visit the best one! I'm looking forward to visiting Obstetrixs Medical Group in the future! Highly recommend Dr. Samuel!
I wanted to make sure I wrote a review for this office after seeing their rating. I went to my OB on Tuesday and was diagnosed with a short cervix. Of course that's not something you want to hear so I was extremely worried. Obstetrix Medical Group was able to get me in on Thursday to look at my baby and my cervix. The waiting area in the clinic is very nice, their triage nurse was very polite, and the exam room was very nice. I do have to highlight my ultrasound tech and the doctor though. The ultrasound tech was AMAZING. She took time to explain what we were looking at and was more than willing to answer any questions that I had. The doctor came in and reassured me that they will continue to monitor my cervix and really gave me peace in mind. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone I know!
We LOVE Obstetrix and Dr.Samuels! We were nervous after we read the older reviews on here but all those nerves were gone after we had our first appointment. The office itself is beautiful and immaculate. The staff is very helpful and so kind. Our wait times were not long at all and as soon as we met the doctor we were in love. She came in and SAT DOWN and had a discussion with us. She was patient and listened to all of our concerns and showed us so much compassion. We were so nervous after our previous loss and she addressed all of our anxieties about that, layed out ALL of our options, let us choose what we wanted to do, and we left with a plan for this pregnancy. Just knowing where we were headed for the next 9 months was such a relief. I needed a surgical procedure about the 12th week of pregnancy, which she preformed and it went very well. About a week later I was experiencing some cramping as a normal symptom and called the office after hours. I was connected right away to Dr.Samuels while she was on her way home and I spoke to her directly and she was able to help me understand my symptoms and get my medication prescription to my pharmacy within the hour! Never have I ever had such a positive and efficient experience with such a great doctor (especially after hours). Me, my husband, and my mom love her and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I will be seeing her for as many future pregnancies as I have, she is the BEST OF THE BEST.
This place is horrible, very rude and they lie to your face about billing. In our first exam the technician could not get decent scans of our baby and started pushing violently on my wife's belly as if she was trying to shake a bag of ice. She ended up asking the doctor to try and the doctor was quickly able to tell us the gender but said that we needed to come back in a few weeks to get better scans. She told us the next visit would be included in the initial cost. When we returned to our normal doctor she looked at the scans and said that my wife's placenta was blocking the view and the technician should have known that. We returned a few weeks later to get the second set of scans and were told we would be billed again. When my wife told them we were not supposed to be billed a second time the receptionist said "I don't know why you feel you wouldn't be billed". This place is horrible, do not go here especially if this is your first child and you want to have a memorable experience. I've noticed that many of the "5 star" reviews are coming from Google accounts with no activity and only 1 review.... FAKE
The doctor s bedside manner was great BUT he did a test he didn t tell us he was going to do and then charged us $2k for it. We re self-pay and thought we were only having an ultrasound. NOT happy to get that bill when we thought we d paid in full when we were in the office.
Dr. Samuel and her staff are amazing! The staff is friendly and efficient. At our 4pm appointment today, we were called back before our appointment time and seen quickly by Dr. Samuel. Dr. Samuel is extremely personable! I would definitely recommend this office to anyone!
It was my first time coming here and it was amazing the people there are super nice. The doctor is amazing and so is Racheal the lady from the front office, she was awesome super nice in attending me!
I thought the techs were very dry and rude. I didn't want to know gender and was basically told close my eyes when we get to that part. They didnt want to resend link to baby pictures after they expired in the portal because it was an inconvenience to them. The light flickered in my room and know one cared or noticed. Im glad I wasn't epileptic. Had to see this place twice and didn't get one good picture which is sad with how much I paid and my last baby. Also pretty aggressive doing the ultrasound. I also had an anxiety attack and had to sit up and tech seemed annoyed. I'm not even confident in the tech. If I could afford 2nd opinion I would go elsewhere.
Dr. Samson is the absolute best! He takes the safety and health of me and baby very seriously and took necessary measures to ensure we were okay. His personality is lovely and refreshing. My only wish is that her himself were an obgyn. Thank you for everything. Great staff as well!
My family's visit to OBMG was great.The medical team on duty alleyed all fears we had about our twins.The Medical team was warm and friendly.Dr.Amber was very encouraging.
Love the doctors and medical staff here! However, I had major issues with the billing department. If you pay your bills online, know that the office apparently "cant see" online payments and may think you haven't made any payments. I got accused of only making 1 payment for the 6 times I had been there, because that 1 payment was made in the office (the others were online). There really needs to be a better way for the office to communicate with the online payment app (MyMedicalMe). I'm also not sure how accurate this app is either- I was actually sent to collections for a bill that never showed up online. Nothing was mailed to me, discussed with me in the office, or available for me to see online so I had no way of knowing I owed anything. The "dispute" number I was given in The Woodlands office turned out to be another Pediatrix Medical Group in Arizona who would not speak with me. It was a mess and caused a lot of unnecessary stress 2 days before delivery my baby. I have full faith in the medical providers at this office, but be wary how you go about making payments. Get itemized statements every time and proof of payments you make whether in the office or online.
The friendliness of the staff was good but, what I am upset about is the fact they will not let you record or take pictures of your own ultrasound. On top of, they digitally send you pictures of your ultrasound. Okay, cool, but the form you sign says within 24 hours. That is also what the tech said too. I have called back to see if there was any confusion on my contact information and have been told it will be another 3 business days.
When i had my appt, my wait time from when the tech left and the doctor to come in was 40 minutes.. This is not my first kid and so far this place has left a sour taste in my mouth. I do NOT recommend this place for anyone. Ridiculous I cannot take a picture of my own child and have to wait over a week to have pictures of the ultrasound. Then, to wait 40 minutes for a doctor to come into the room for 3 minutes.
The BEST doctor I could have ever asked for... Dr. Amber Samuel is a Maternal Fetal Medicine doc. I had the pleasure in having her as my OBGYN for my entire pregnancy. She is super educated with great bedside manner and filled with a heart of compassion. Dr. Samuel delivered our little boy and did an amazing job with my emergency c-section. I m sad it will be the end of the road for our weekly visits but happy she was right by our side through it all. Her medical assistant LaChandra is really good as well! I will surely miss them!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
WE WERE SO EXCITED TO GET AN ANATOMY ULTRASOUND AND FINALLY CONFIRM WE WERE HAVING A LITTLE MAN BUT THAT EXCITING VISIT TURNED SOUR WHEN WE HAD A HORRIBLE ULTRASOUND TECH WITH NO PERSONALITY. SHE WAS SO DRY...DIDNT ANSWER QUESTIONS AND WAS ALL AROUND RUDE. SHE MAY NOT BE A MOM BECASUE IF SHE WAS SHE WOULD UNDERSTAND HOW IMPORTANT THIS IS FOR US. I DIDNT GET HER NAME BUT MY APPT WAS 04/19 AT 9:45 AND MY NAME IS ILIANA GARCIA. SHE RUSHED THROUGH IT AND IT WAS JSUT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. WE SPOKE TO THE DOCTOR i WANT TO SAY HER NAME WAS DR SAMUEL. AND SHE IMMEDIATELY FIXED THE PROBLEM AND TOOK AMAZING PICTURES OF OUR BABY BOY! I WOULD GIVE HER 10 STARS IF I COULD! SO GREAT THAT I CRIED BECAUSE SHE GOT A PICTURE OF HIM SMILING! THE ONE STAR IS FOR THAT TECH. I HOPE NO PREGNANT WOMAN ENCONTERS THAT ULTRASOUND TECH AGAIN!!!!!
