Booked a table for my husband's 40th Birthday. Received a confirmation informing me that if I didn't arrive within 20 mins if my booking the table would be released, and that the booking was from 13:30 until 15:00. Received the same email a few days later, then the day before the booking I got a text asking me to confirm I'd read the conditions. Turned up on time only to be told the table wasn't ready and told we could go to the bar or hang around the foyer. We went to the bar. 20 minutes later we still hadn't been seated so we asked what was happening, we were told the people were taking a long time with their desserts, we were finally seated 25 mins after our booking. We then waited nearly 1 hour for our main courses and so asked where they were, were told it was because we'd asked for well done beef. The food arrived and it was lovely. We then ordered dessert and whilst my husband was finishing his dessert he was asked to hurry up as other people had booked the table. He asked to speak to the manager as we were only still there due to the rediculously long time it took to serve us. They took off the price of the desserts and the 13.5% service charge without us having to ask. The food was nice but the service was appalling

Such a pleasure eating at Oblix. Have eaten here before but visited on this occasion for my nephews birthday. The food didn't disappoint, the staff are very attentive and the views are amazing. All in all a beautiful, surreal experince...Will be going back soon for afternoon tea, can't wait.

Having first been told that my deck shoes were not...
Having first been told that my deck shoes were not allowed (hello Hitler, f@!k off Jesus no sandals) by the security staff that run the building we were permitted to enter the shard(still wearing the deck shoes) and get in the remarkable lift that takes you to the 32 floor in not a very long time.
Having increased our potential energy we bounded into oblix (no mention of the deck shoes) with Dickensian expectations.. The views of London are breath taking. It is a beautiful place to eat. Which makes it even more disappointing that there is nothing beautiful to eat in the place.
The staff were very attentive, and though they had no ricard in the building, we tucked into a glass of champers. The sommeiler helped us to choose a beautiful German riesling to go with our food.
Just quickly on the drinks, I prefer to see my wine and my water. I also prefer to pour it myself. I accept that not everybody does.
The menu seems a little disjointed. As if the dishes on the menu were pulled out of a tombola hat. I struggled to find two dishes that I felt could work together.
We started with the wood fire roasted beets with goats curd and the soft shell crab. Frankly the beats could have come from a Waitrose essential tub of cooked beetroot. The goats curd was quite tasty. This was all covered in a ghastly rosemary granola. An inauspicious start to the meal. The soft shell crab was okay, the spicy marinated vegetables saving it.
Then, the Piece de resistance. Dover Sole, on the bone, in brown butter. awful. as were the side dishes. cauliflower in some sort of buttery water. broccoli covered in chilli, and big fat pub chips.
Then a coffee.
And that cost 210 pounds
Then we lost all of the aforementioned potential energy and went home.

We dined on 20th Sep 2017 and had a food poisoning - most likely bad seafood batch, as we ordered a seafood platter as a starter. 3 out of 4 guests who had the platter had symptoms of food poisoning; My partner emailed them directly to inform them but they didn't reply, not sure what actions they will be taking to prevent this in the future. I would not want anyone to go through this experience.

The place is fancy but honesty the service is quite bad, we waited 15 minutes at the bar to be seated although we had a confirmed reservation at 9pm and the food took more than an hour to come so it s worth a visit for the view and the place but not to repeat.. music was very bad as well

Great atmosphere, staff are friendly and polite, starter was amazing, lunch was great chicken however was a bit salty when it came to the thicker part of the meat, fries and sauce were great. Dessert blew me away amazing taste and display was creative. View is definitely worth checking out. Staff catered to our needs and gave us the window seat when requested

The view on the evening is amazing: one of the best experiences I have never done. The food is good, well presented and in the right quantity. I am only little disappointed about the service: it is too much present. I'd like to have a conversation with my partner without interruptions every 15 minutes...

This evening I took my boyfriend out for his birthday. We went for the tasting menu with wines, and we both agreed that we wouldn't have ordered a few of these dishes, but after trying them now we realise the mistake we would have made. Our waiter, Russel, has a strong knowledge on the dishes and was charming and accommodating. The final course came with a 'Happy Birthday' note which was a beautiful touch and down to him as he was the only know knowing we were celebrating. The sommelier, Sid, (I believe) was also brilliant and knew about the wines in depth, and educated us in wines which again we wouldn't have chosen but complimented the courses perfectly. The service was brilliant and we truly felt cared for and welcomed in the restaurant and I would highly recommend anyone coming here for special occasions. Although some might argue that the prices are dear I believe that it was truly a value meal with the quality of food and service we got. Typically I wouldn't write reviews but I'm so over the moon with the service that I feel it should be noted. Thanks so much, we will definitely be back soon!

I took a group of employees for a summer treat but would not recommend or go back.
We spent thousands of pounds that evening but the seating plan we sent in advanced was wrong, the table wasn't ready when we arrived, staff were constantly filling our glasses up with over priced water to the point it was intrusive, long wait between courses and they didn't meet my requests for the wine resulting in additional and wasted costs.
Food was nice, but nothing special. For the money we spent I would have expected exceptional service. Also note that half the group had their back to the view which doesn't seem well thought out.

Good bar and not that busy late at night allowing to you get window tables close to closing time. The view is to the north and east. Cocktails are expensive. There is a sweet one in a coconut-style mug which was good. Aqua Shard is an alternative which has more expansive views and the infamous men's toilets looking out over London.

The food is ludicrously overpriced for what it is. I've had better steaks and lamb for more than half the price. I imagine you are paying for the view, which is spectacular. The service, while friendly, was a bit shoddy. I ordered the lamb roast and had to ask them for my Yorkshire pudding and potatoes. Other vegetables were extra. The allergy menu is basically just steaks and vegetables.
I would recommend just going to to bar section and ordering a light snack or coffee and enjoying the view. Go to Borough Market for your main meal!

Great views and great service at the bar. An interesting selection of cocktails, all beautifully presented, though as you might expect very pricey. Unfortunately one thing you get with these sort of prices is your stereotypical city types with more money than manners, all keen to flash as much cash as possible to impress their materialistic dates. But you may be lucky and not bump into too many of them!

Really good quality of food for a place that can easily win customers merely by the amazing view it offers of the city! Not too expensive all things considered. The suckling pig is so delicious (a little bit fatty sometimes but I still keep ordering it because it s amazing).

I would not eat at Oblix East. Your money is better spent at the viewing deck. Or just walk upstairs to the restaurants, take in view and walk out. The food is very very expensive and marginal. The service was awful. We ordered a glass of wine and they brought a whole bottle. Then gave attitude when we didn t want the bottle. You won t have one waiter, so no one knows what s going on. We had a table far back without a view and saw a table with window view empty for over 15 minutes. Waiters walk around aimlessly and knocked into my chair without apologizing all night. This restaurant tries to aim as high end. But if you sit at a high top there isn t a place for a nice handbag. Even Chipotle high tops have a hook for a handbag!

The food was amazing, the view was amazing and staff were amazing, all so warm, welcoming and friendly. Had a problem with one waitress but Ash the manager made up for it tenfold. He is amazing at what he does, he knows how to talk to people and to put people at ease. Felt totally put out by this waitress (who is leaving) but Ash was so understanding that he made me feel soo much better. Thank goodness Ash was there or our night would have been ruined by this waitress!
Thank you Ash and the rest of the team who made our night memorable, we had a great time thanks to all of you!
Thank you again,

Make sure to make a reservation way in advance if you're planning to go for dinner. We went to the bar first for drinks and then went to the restuarant for dinner (this gives you both views from Oblix).
For dinner, we ordered the Lobster Linguine, Crispy Shrimp, Free Range Chicken main course and Pork Ribs. All were delicious and recommended!

Slave drivers - these people exploit their workforce really badly. Pay less than minimum wage and 'share' tips at 84p each a week. Utterly nasty.

The views are really amazing from the restaurant. You can choose from Oblix West or Oblix East, the east side is more casual. I'd recommend booking, especially on the weekends as they might not let you up without one. Also make sure you aren't dressed too casually (no sneakers). We had a few starters and the lobster as the main. Flavours were okay but weren't amazing. The starters were tasty (seared beef, king prawns, beef tartare). Worth it if you are after a meal and a view!

I really couldn't have asked for a better b- day dinner at a better venue. I actually had reservations at the Shard but cancelled it after comparing menus. I was seated on the Eastside of the restaurant, I had a direct view of the London Pride. My waitress Robbi or Bobbi (Italian female) was really lovely, attentive and kind. The food, omfg the food. When I'm spending money, I don't like to be disappointed and I wasn't. My mocktail mint Mojito was EVERYTHING, my starter and my meal. AH MAY ZIN.....

I must say I was dissapointed. The greeting as we arrived was disorganized and lacked personal touch, too conveyor belt like. Food was nice but by far not the best I've ever had. Service was friendly but lacked attention to detail and in my opinion too many staff looking after different areas. Twice I had to ask for my wine to be refilled, which I wouldn't have an issue doing myself, however there were 4 tables wine in the wine bucket so could not reach or determine which was ours. I informed the waiter as arrived that it was my partners Birthday, to which he said to leave with him and he would arrange something at the end of the meal, this did not materialise. For the prices charged I feel you are only paying for the view as the service and food did not reflect the price by any stretch. Will not recommend or return.

Service and view are good but food is borderline mediocre/awful. I guess if you have to pay for the view at shard, you might as well eat quality of food at Neighbouring Aqua or Hutong is slightly better though all have unjustifiable high price tag for what they are. If you just want the view, have a drink at the bar and eat elsewhere
