Such a fun thing to do while in Gatlinburg. The earlier you go, the better! We have done all the activities and they are all worth the money, especially the mountain coaster. Again, make sure you get there early as the crowds and lines pick up around lunch time. Getting there early changes the entire experience!

The mountain Coaster was very fun, and the drive up to the ski resort to get to it was an adventure as well. $16 a ride, it only lasts about 5-7 exciting minutes. There is another one where the 2 nd ride down is half price, I ll try that next time!

Nancy Linendoll is a saint! We went to Customer Service for help when our car broke down at Ober and she bent over backwards to help us out. I suggest management at Ober should double her salary!

It's$17 per adult to ride up there and $39 for all inclusive tickets for attractions at the top. The view is spectacular. The tour guides on the team are informative. Lots of activities for kids to do.

Don't recommend visiting during prime time, you will spend over 5 hours in the lines. The only road to Ober starts backing up at 10 am, you'll hit standing still traffic because Obers parking is full. They will tell you to drive back to downtown area to park and take tramway up top (the line to get tramway tickets is about 1 hour and the line to actual tramway is about 3 hours). On top of that be ready to spend 4 hours trying to pick up rental equipment if you do (ski or snowboard)... So yeah the place is awesome really nice slopes, but they can't accommodate winter holidays crowd.

Our 1st time experience was horrible. It started with the drive up the mountain. We hit a huge traffic line on a 1 lane road with no indicators that once you got to the parking you had to turn around. At tgat top parking lot they had shuttles to drive you the rest of the way up, but why not have the shuttles at the bottom of the Hill when you know parking it's filled up by 8:00 a.m. instead of creating and having people sitting in an hour traffic jam. In the fine print on the ticket they do tell you to allow up to 2 hours (!) delay to getting to the hill from your allotted time, we see why but why are we picking a time to actually have to go 2 hours early, that seems a little ridiculous, and what if it wasn't busy and we come and gave to wait around 2 hours? This type of warning is inconvenient for planners and the late runners... but whatever on that part. So 1 person from our group had to drop us off and plan to take the tramway up, well when he got to the bottom there was a about a 2 hour line for tickets and a 2 hour line for the tram! So he basically just forfeited his ticket and chance to go because there was no way he was waiting four hours to get up which we were already late for our alotted time.
Once we finally got to the hill it was pretty pathetic for $25. Of course the nature all around was beautiful and the weather the day we were there was really pleasant and comfortable, but we got one slide down the hill! We talked to other people who when they had their fully alotted amount of time got about 3 runs down. You have to stand in line to get up the Hill, stand in line to wait to go down the Hill, a lot of waiting for 3 seconds of a small slope. We then had to pay to get tickets to the tram back down of course, but were never even checked that we had tickets so more money got wasted! We had a four-year-old with us who want to just play in the snow and we saw the kid's corner section, that was another $5 just for a four-year-old to stomp and some snow for 5 minutes!
Tourist towns are expensive and busy, we get that, but this was such a wasted day, time, and money! What's advertised on the website was really not delivered, so if you're coming here just choose something different, or go on your own nature hike.

There is a lot to experience in this one location from a small zoo, mountain coaster, snow tubing, to skiing and snow boarding!! Not to forget the ice skating if your looking for a family fun full day experience this would be a great spot to visit. Now be aware the food is kinda on the pricey side but when there s not a lot to choose from up in the mountain you can set your prices. Great Hot chocolate though mmmmm!! We had a blast and I look forward to possibly going back next year and doing some snow boarding!!

It s a beautiful place, but the wait times are insane and everything is overpriced. I went there in January 3 that was a Sunday. We had to pay holiday price which is almost double on everything. Nowhere it says about it. The website recommends arriving two hours before opening and they are not kidding. We arrived there 15 minutes late and we waited at least an hour before getting in the park. After there from the moment we left the bus to getting lunch to getting my ski it took 6 hours. We wasted the whole day on the ski rental line and food line.
I took a basic class that was fun but the waiting time destroyed the whole experience.

There is a single restaurant there that sells overpriced terrible food.

I was disappointed because you had to pay $5 just to park and then we had to wait till 12 o'clock to find out that we couldn't play in the snow. I would give it less stars but we visited before and we liked it then.

Parking sucked. Parking attendees just keep collecting money and sending cars up to park and no places to park. Parking spaces are too small and close together. If you are driving a small car your fine. Crew cab diesel pick up , you out of luck. Asked attendants if any parking somewhere else and he said just park there, I don't care. Don't think I will be back anytime soon.

First off I would have to say that we did not have any issues with customer service. Every one was extremely nice and helpful. The snowboard instructor my son had was extremely patient and nice. However, the organization does not flow well. You can't buy lift tickets ahead of time so there is a long line immediately walking through the doors. There is no social distancing whatsoever. They make an effort one time of asking people to have a mask with no enforcing of the rule. After paying to rent snowboard equipment we stood in line to get boots and when we got the boots they were soaked from the previous day. We were told all the boots were soaked and there is no refund. After waiting In all the lines and getting equipment you're looking at about 2 hours at least before you hit the slopes. And that's if you get there before they open. If they updated there system to being more computerized instead of a pen and paper system it may run more smoothly.

I had looked at website and decided it would be good for octfest german food.I didn't realize had to take tram to top. Wouldn't have been bad but we were packed in TIGHT! I'm too short to hold straps and bad knee made this a unpleasant experience

Not that great. Too many people in tram. Hot and can barely see anything. Then just tourist traps to spend money on trinkets. 2 years ago fire devistated forest which also hurts the little you can see from tram.

We visited here for the tram ride which was a worthy experience. While at the top we browsed the shops and ate lunch at the restaurant lounge. The food was not worth the price they were charging but it was edible. I would suggest eating in town or perhaps the Sidewalk Cafe. There is also a small amusement park here that I'm sure the kids would enjoy. It is a nice place to experience but I don't see anything attracting us back. I sure it is very different during ski season.

Got stuck sky high in a tram today!! I was in panic As the guy talking to his coworker didn't speak English. He sat on the phone twice while we were stuck suspended in the air at the highest point in the ride. It was awful and having 6 kids, myself and my mother in law all stuck on here she ended up in tears and refuses to ever ride again. It took her a while to be okay once we finally made our way back to land. Not exactly the experience I was looking for and none of my older kids want to get back on here due to being stuck. 2 day passes are cool and all but only got one ride down and back up before we got stuck on the way back up.

Wonderful place! I thought the tram ride was gonna be bad with my anxiety...but thanks to Zoloft it wasn't too bad. Had more fun riding back down than going up. It is indeed colder on the mountain. Wear a jacket, extra socks etc

Very interesting cable car ride. Wait times were somewhat long, but we were there st a peak time. Interesting shops and food vendors. Tide up was breathtaking and worth the wait! Very reasonably priced.

The pizza made me feel sick and the "Wildlife Encounter" was honestly just so sad that Ober Gatlinburg would probably be better off without it unless they spent the money to remodel it. The mountain coaster, on the other hand, had to have been the best ride I have ever ridden on! I had to ride on it twice...

Pros: The views on the tram up the mountain were incredible.

Family enjoyed tubing and the kids snow area

Picking up tickets and getting locker storage was easy and simple

Cons: Safety considerations on the Magic carpet were lax. It was stopped at the top for some reason, and there was no announcement for restarting. The belt jerked forward when restarted causing myself and others to lose balance.

COVID signage was in place but there was little effort to actually enforce the guidelines. The only person who did enforce them was the team operator on our trip up the mountain.

Overall the family had fun but improvements could be made. Undecided about return visits.
