This place is incredible! Situated in the picturesque English countryside, this old manor is beautifully updated to exquisite modern standards that far surpass many other hotels!
While visiting England for work, I was put up in the Oakley Hall Hotel for a week. The summer weather was hot by UK standards (but beautiful by Southern US standards). The hotel is surrounded by wheat fields and all the grounds are well groomed. The courtyard rooms are converted from old horse stables and have two levels to the rooms that sport air conditioning, wifi, entertainment center with Blu-ray and media outlets. The fridge and tea service are stocked daily. The hotel and all rooms are exceptionally clean! The grounds have a 1.44 mile walking / running trail. (Be sure to take the map with you so you do not turn off into a neighbor s field, however). They have a lovely garden cottage and a kitchen garden that is very interesting to us organic gardeners! I checked out their compost and give it two thumbs up!
Breakfast is included with the room and is magnificent.
My only thing that was a very slight negative is that you cannot drink the water from the tap because it is softened and therefore, salty. However you can boil it in the tea kettle and it does not seem to have an effect on your tea or coffee. They only give you two small bottles of water a day so go to a local store and get a few 1.5 L bottles to have around.
The manor has a connection to Jane Austen and so my wife is already planning a trip back with her in the future
My only regret is that I can only give it 5 stars....
Cheers!
This hotel was a tonic for our 3 day break. Spotlessly clean, wonderful food and beautiful grounds. The stars of the show were the staff - they are a credit to the hotel.
Lovely place, contemporary and very well presented compared to many country hotels. Food is very nice, terrace is spacious and the grounds are very pleasant to walk in. The staff also looked after us really well.
Lovely hotel for afternoon tea. Great staff very attentive
Very nice location, the grounds were pleasant to have a wander around. The rooms were spacious and well equipped. Dinner service was fantastic. The only part that let it down some what was breakfast, the food itself was lovely, but the service was lacking.
A lovely hotel, very friendly and professional staff.
An amazing Georgian House, coupled with fantastic meals in the Glasshouse Restaurant. One trip to savor.
Afternoon tea is gorgeous. Plenty of food and beautiful desserts
20 of us arrived at Oakley Hall for afternoon tea and I have to say that Charlie and the team looked after us brilliantly. The afternoon tea was huge and excellent value for money, we were presented with boxes to take home the cake we hadn't managed to eat, which was a lovely touch. The service really was exemplary and I am looking forward to returning to Oakley Hall for another special occasion.
Wonderful rooms, people, and grounds. The radiant floor heating is a nice touch rarely found in comparable hotels. My cold feet thank you!
Visited as part of an off-site meeting. Great facilities and environment
Very pretty location and great food & service but can be difficult drive down narrow roads to find it.
Visited for a conference. Really nice venue and excellent facilities. Food was really good
Beautiful hotel, what you imagine when you hear English country side.
Went to a Christmas do here and everything was excellent.
Lovely hotel and grounds and great venue for team away day
For visiting Basingstoke, this is a nice country hotel
Attended a work social event held at Oakley Hall. Great location. The staff were very professional and provided a very nice BBQ. Definitely happy to return.
I have visited Oakley Hall Hotel on several occasions, sometimes for parties and celebrations and others for business during the different seasons. It is always spotless, well maintained and certainly has friendly staff.
This last visit I was especially pleased to be shown around rooms I had never visited before. The whole estate is steeped in history and as you wander around the gardens and through the hallways, up the wonderfully carved staircase you can imagine the days when Jane Austin and her family came to visit.
Well worth a visit
Lovely building and grounds, lacking air conditioning for super hot days. Good selection behind the bar and helpful staff.
Attended an afternoon tea event. There was plenty to eat and the service was very good. Unfortunately the afternoon tea provided for our dairy free guest was not as high a quality.
Amazing location, polite staff, delightful food. So impressed! They even catered well for my dairy free afternoon tea. Highly recommend!
I have been attending a company course. The facilities are great, staff are friendly and helpful and food ex

Beautiful hotel in an idyllic setting. Very professional staff and rooms finished and maintained to a very high standard. Would certainly recommend.
Sometimes you get to a hotel where the whole athmosphere gets you into a relaxation state of mind. I got that feeling from Oakley Hall Hotel. Traditional countryside locatoin where you get that British countryside vibe. I do not know if there are large differences in the rooms, but my room on the second floor was spacious. The bed was really nice too and I woke up the next morning well rested. Other things that might be of interest is that they do have a few Tesla chargers, so if you drive an electric car you may leave with a full battery. Dinner was excellent and I loved the full breakfast menu in the morning.
Beautiful setting, fantastic building and a lovely hotel.
Went there for a 50th wedding and it was a great day.
Amazing hotel. Fit for weddings, functions or a luxury over night stay. Very friendly staff, super clean, modern on comfy room. The bathroom had separate shower and bath and super spacious. Real fast was made to order and delicious. Deserves 5/5, would stay again.
Lovely location. We had a champagne tea in the Glasshouse which was very nice indeed. The service we received was excellent.
Absolutely Superb room and bed, The converted stable block is great and you can even park out side your own room. terrific will come again. great staff. great building and grounds. Ps shower was to die for. Pictures are of afternoon tea again beautiful presented and tasted great.
Great location. Went here for a Christmas party which was in a large marquee area but with access to the hall and multiple bars.
Oakley Hall is set in beautiful grounds with a sweeping drive up to the house. The staff are lovely; welcoming, helpful and happy to chat if you want to. The hotel itself is well maintained and beautifully decorated with a good mix of traditional and modern. The room was spacious, well appointed, clean and comfortable. Food is exceptional, a la carte menu with select choices and a good wine list. A great venue for weddings and functions or just a weekend break in the heart of the beautiful Hampshire countryside. We booked their Bombay Sapphire Distillery package (which is a 7 minute drive away), this included B&B, evening meal and a gin and tonic. It was really good value for money, I would definitely recommend.
Very posh place for afternoon tea and cakes. There is an extensive range of different teas available all served loose tea in a strainer . Full silver waited service. Also anything left over is boxed up.
Reasonably priced meals in a country setting used for weddings, have clay pigeon shooting on site.
Food was great. Grounds were beautiful. Room was super.
Pretty setting, super-hospitable staff, excellent food and a fair selection of drinks. Always enjoy my visits, although can't comment on accommodation as I've only attended a few evening events here.
From the start of our wedding journey, almost 2 and a half years ago when we first visited Oakley Hall, we knew it would be perfect. From the moment we sat and booked in our date, we honestly cannot think of a single negative comment. Although we switched wedding coordinators a few times, each one took the time to get to know us as a couple and studied the plans we'd already made. Every single request we had, Oakley Hall and it's staff made it possible, helping to plan our dream day. Nothing was ever too much, not even my constant emails which Edel was quick to answer and settle my queries.
When the day itself arrived, Edel, Tim and the team were absolutely perfect, and we truly appreciated every small detail you added to make our day so special, like the gift in our room when the day had ended, the waiting staff checking in to make sure our food was ok, and the wishes of congratulation from every single staff member we met (even the restaurant staff the next day) . The focus was always on us, and staff knew exactly how to make it run like clockwork.
So many of our wedding guests also gave us lots positive feedback on staff, the beautiful hotel, and the delicious food that was spot on! This is a big thank you to the kitchen team who prepared and served the best wedding food we've eaten (especially our steaks which were cooked to perfection).
We honestly cannot thank Edel and Tim enough, they work so hard from start to finish, and it's clear to see they both really love their jobs! We truly had the most perfect day, that we will never forget!
We'll definitely be back to stay soon,
Take care,
Mr and Mrs Strudwick

Fantastic champagne afternoon tea x highly recommend
Superb afternoon tea. Both my partner and I enjoyed the food and the service was excellent.
Would definitely recommend.
The views and the hotel itself are amazing. Rooms were clean and had everything you need. We were there for a wedding and the only negative is we were told that the room wouldn't be ready until 1pm even though no one was in the night before! That's a small negative for what is a lovely hotel.
Lovely setting, nice rooms, friendly staff. Enjoyed my stay.
Delicious tea served in The Library on Christmas Eve
We got married on 29th June wow what an amazing day it was!
We would like to thank Jenny so much for her efforts and appreciate everything you have done for us!
A massive thank you to Tim he was AMAZING throughout the day nothing was too much for him and made us feel at ease the whole time we would highly recommend him!!
Kind regards, the newlyweds
Lovely hotel and gardens had dinner here and the food was exquisite. Highly recommend to all that like a delicious meal
Lovely afternoon tea. Flawlessly presented. Delicious. Beautiful grounds.
Completely satisfied our expectations. The staff are lovely, the hotel is immaculately clean and the food was outstanding.
A bit too posh for me but looks very nice. Set in its own large estate in some beautiful countryside. Easy to find, plenty of parking and rhd staff (that I met) seemed really nice.
Very helpful staff - rustled up a lunch for us at shirt notice..
Nice hotel. Didn't stay but attended a charity ball and it was very nice
Good service beautiful property and the breakfast was very good.
Went for a wedding lovely place to have your wedding at
The service was absolutely amazing. They were able cater for my gluten free diet without fuss. It was my mums birthday and they made her feel so special
One of the most beautiful locations for such a beautiful hotel.
Although a beautiful place, the staff even management were poor. Rude and snobby towards me.
Spent a night here. Could not fault anything.
The staff were all very pleasant, great food and all set in lovely surroundings.
This is such a great Hotel, just booked our wedding here after the first visit
Fantastic service and great food, was there for afternoon tea.
I have been several times to take friends for dinner, we all thoroughly enjoyed it .
Beautiful venue, rooms are fantastic and the staff very accommodating. Great place for a wedding.
Most expensive drinks I've had in at least 5 years - in Europe! I felt like I should have been issued with a share certificate instead of an invoice. Will definitely never return!
Hotel staff were excellent as was the food. Grounds wonderful
We stayed in this hotel while visiting work in Basingstoke. We were amazed at the luxury of the hotel and the charm. The decor was outstanding and the staff was friendly. They offer several services including clay shooting and other local activities. Will stay here again next time in town.

Rooms and surrounding panoramic views are out of the strong points but the limited dinner menu, middle of the sticks location and generally poor service are holding it back. Try the Audley woods closer to town and much cheaper.
Beautiful hotel to host a fantastic wedding. Staff were on point and very professional. Great place to hold an event like that
Lovely grounds but pond is shabby and needs sorting
Nice afternoon tea, very quiet and can take a short walk around the grounds afterwards
