I have loved the gym, bar and patio of this place forever it seems.
Lovely hotel. Very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful.
Sat for a professional certification exam. Marriott's amenities and setup was pleasant for a six hour test.
beautiful views on upper floors... very clean & great lounge
It was a pleasant stay. We were surprised o not be able to use WiFi without paying.
I have stayed several times at this Marriott property, and have had a good experience each time. The staff, from the check in desk to housekeeping, breakfast, security, have all been very friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with nice views. The TVs do not have the "watch Netflix" option that other Marriotts have. The fitness center is very nice, with a selection of well maintained cardio equipment, selectorized weight equipment, plus dumbbells and a suspension (a la TRX) setup as well. The hotel restaurant has a nice selection of choices, and the executive lounge is nice, and has an espresso maker. Would recommend.
The rooms were clean and stylish. The lobby felt welcoming, and service was excellent
the valet and staff at the hotel were incredibly courteous and very helpful. rooms were modern and clean. I was upgraded to a room on the 18th floor, which had incredible views of the city and the San Francisco Bay. overall I had an excellent experience at the hotel and would absolutely stay here again.
Was here for a conference. Hidden gem, great service. Better then the normal Marriott expected service.
Great location right by 12th Street Bart and great food and shops in Old Oakland. Went here for an event and the event space was very nice and the air conditioning was top notch with the amount to people attending.
Excellent location for my work-related needs, clean and spacious room.
Nice music
Only came here for an exam and I didn't have a space to eat lunch due to covid restrictions which is understandable so plan ahead
Great view of the city, clear proximity to Old Oakland
This hotel seems to have been renovated recently. Comfortable beds and smart TVs
Rooms are still shiny and new. Restraunt/bar is decent. Vallet gets easily overwhelmed it seems.
I'm sure it's a nice place when there isn't a convention going on. But I've been waiting for my hotel room (which we did reserve) for 2+ hours now.
Very positive experience with this hotel and its facilities. The rooms are clean, modern and large. Beds are great and there was free coffee available, but they charge for the water ($6 the bottle).
Polite staff, helpful and friendly. The check-in/check-out process was perfect: Quick and efficient.
There is a very close Bart Station nearby and is a great option to commute to San Francisco bay area.
Unfortunately, free wifi only at the lobby.
Classy place. Kinda corporate and beige, which feels extra strange in a place as cultural as Oakland. But the staff are really nice.
Visited City Center to pick up my race day materials for the Oakland Running festival. It has a good conference center and met the needs of a race expo. The main hall seemed a little dark for my tastes, but the entrance was a bit brighter. Was only there for an hour to check out the booths.
Well lit at night all night which I found comforting
The young lady at the front desk is the most helpful person i have ever encountered. Thank you!
It had great customer service and quality of entertainment.
Wi fi is not free. You need to pay $6.00 for a bottle of water.
I've been in hotel business for 20 years, and I never experienced a such great lack of professionalism in so many different levels.
I'm a rewards member and they told me I couldn't use their restroom on a Friday night when I was in the area for an event. I was appalled! Horrible!!!
Front desk service was professional and informative. The rooms are extremely nice and cozy. The food is the best I've had at any hotel. The only drawback is the area around the hotel. Some wouldn't feel safe walking alone.
Disappointing to have room service delivered as takeaway . In single use plastic containers in a paper bag. Used to come on a tray with proper cutlery etc. Bathroom boasts about caring for the planet ring hollow I m afraid.
First impressions are important the front desk the customer service is not consistent. Security on premises not friendly. The rooms are clean
Had a good time last night at the Oakland Marriott.
Beautiful, friendly staff, great location, nice perks.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. I had some billing issues but the desk staff was extremely diligent to solve my issue beyond my satisfaction. The room was always clean and the views stunning.
Beautiful views, 100% relaxing, excellent food and service. We stayed 2 nights here and felt like we were away for a week. The active level was so relaxing, and the staff was outstanding with their professionalism. They also serve delicious and fresh food. They also have different wines. We'll be back here soon!
A fantastic venue for our professional event. (An Antiquarian Book Fair) Good location, easy parking, and easy load-in of our stock.
Was there to pick up my packet for the Oakland marathon. I was a nice space! We didn't do much except go in the convention center, but I have no complaints. The location is great!
Loved this place. It was my first time staying in Marriott, and they gave me a free upgrade. They have a huge dine in restaurant and bar, pool, gym and lot more for the kids.
Hanging clothes rack was too short and there should have been a full length morrow in the room. Considering there was a strike going, customer service was still very good. Excellent weight room
The room and people working there are great but the food in the restaurant is over priced for the quality. I would not recommend the restaurant if you are looking for an affordable quality meal with so many other food choices around.
The Marriott is nice and is by the Golden State Warriors Headquarters. It was fun being there during the championship parade.
Newly renovated, the rooms are small but compact and convenient.
Nice location, but my room had obviously been smoked in, my bathroom sink was backed up, and the A/C didn't work. Good looks, poor performance.
Wonderful hotel, I would sure recommend staying here again if I were to travel to Oakland forsure
We are hosting a weekend-long Robotics tournament at the Oakland Marriott City Center and the attached convention center. We have a comfortable, spacious room. We have appreciated the attentive service as we were setting for our event and are looking forward to a fun-filled weekend!
Came here for a convention but didn't stay in a room. The staff was friendly and helpful. Had snack foods when hungry. Also mailed a stamped letter for me at the front desk. Didn't park my car here used Lyft to get around.
Clean rooms . Great views. very nice workout facilities. Dozen good shape treadmills.
The rooms are superb and the service very friendly.
Nice place to stay. Clean hotel and near BART station. Only two stops to Embarcadero.
Over priced and when I say no amenities, I mean NONE. Nothing but a mini cooler, not fridge, and that's it. No breakfast, pool, hot tub, shuttle, or anything. It's a room and that's it.
Loud protesters/ strikers outside, pool closed, restaurant closed with only buffet, security scrutinized upon entry, and ultimately a less than satisfactory visit. I normally stay at Hilton an am not about to change after this visit.
Facility was well kept, spacious and in good repair. Parking was fairly expensive but available on site.
Great conference venue!! Wonderful staff. Excellent location right by 12th Street BART.
Have clients staying at the facility for comfort, lobby bathrooms have security locks, trash around the lobby area, not the most professional.
The room was comfortable but that's about as far as it goes for a $200+/night hotel. I heard every word my neighbors said, heard every person walking down the hall. Heard every toilet around me flush so that I had the impression of being in a Motel 6. I expected some measure of privacy for this price.
I got my bill under my door. It was wrong and I went to the front desk (not billed enough mind you). The clerk Rosario was rude - very rude. Couldn't even be bothered to say thanks for staying with us or even saying "oh my, thank you so much for letting us know we didn't bill you for everything".
I went to Oakland Marriot City Center to attend a professional event. The entrance is very elegant, the staff was friendly, and all spaces were very clean. It was an excellent experience.
Looks good for the last 3 days I been keeping my eyes my businesses now that everybody is back to work ...
Generous rooms, clean, good water pressure in the shower. The only drawback is that parking is $45 a day.
Nice parking garage, but expensive at $2 every 20 minutes.
