Nutri-lawn Ottawa Review

I had an irrigation system installed at my residence by Nutrilawn this fall. After getting quotes from three different companies, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Nutrilawn offered the best rate for the system I was looking for. The technicians that installed the system were very professional and took the time to answer any questions or concerns I had.

I am very satisfied with the service I received and look forward to seeing the system operate next summer!

Great customer care, careless installation.

Our experience with Nutrilawn has been a mixed bag. Their salespeople are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and their service after the install to fix problems has been superb. However, the installation itself was poorly executed.

The team showed up on the rainiest day of the summer. It was really too wet to work but it had been a wet summer and they were behind on their schedule for the season so they forged ahead. They managed to get their tractor stuck in our back garden (see pictures) and it took hours of work to get it out. In the process our lawn was badly damaged, and so were several trees and gardens. The follow up team was great about this and although it took a few tries, they did remedy the various issues with the damaged trees, lawn and gardens without too much hassle.

Do not respond, when they do, they all have a different excuse for why they haven t shown up. Will never
re-hire this company. By the way my neighbour has Postcard Perfect and they do a fantastic job. Maybe a bit more expensive but well worth it. It doesn t pay to try and save a few bucks.

Nutri lawn turned my weed infested, brown lawn into the lushest lawn in the neighbourhood!!! I share a small yard in a townhome development and my neighbour chose not to use Nutrilawn. The best advertisement in the city is to come and see how my half of the lawn is 100% more lush and green than my neighbours side is :) I have always been very pleased with how they treated me as an important client, even though my lawn is probably the smallest one on their roster! I would highly recommend Nutri-Lawn!!

Used them in June for weed control and no result whatsoever. On top of that I am not sure what did they do but my grass started to die and created big dead spots in my lawn. When I reached out to them they tried to put it on me saying I fertilized in april(3 months prior to their service) and thats what caused the dead spots. Terrible Terrible service and recommend dont use them for anything related to lawn and garden.

We have used Nutri-Lawn to open/close our in-ground sprinker system as well as for lawn care. They are fantastic. Very helpful, very professional, prompt, courteous and our lawn looks great.

Just signed up with Nutri-Lawn for lawn care and sprinkler service. They were extremely courteous and professional and I was very impressed. They certainly gave me the impression that they are very service minded.

Have been using nutralawn now for 2 years. Their service has always been amazing I am weed free and have a green lawn. After each visit I get an update about my lawn and any recommendations. They are good not to pressure you into selecting service or products. Should you need anything they are prop to action. With very little work you will have the best lawn on the street.

First experience, and job well done in a competent manner at a price that seemed fair. Staff pleasant and easy to work with. Considering the damage that could occur with irrigation system winterising,if not done well I was very happy to work with company.

We used a competitor for some time and after being run around the bend somewhat on services, changed a few years ago to Nutri-Lawn and haven't looked back. The service is outstanding.

We tried (with no success) to revive our lawn with overseeding. After years of disappointment, we finally asked Nutrilawn to do it for us. They performed a slit seeding service over the entire lawn. I watered faithfully as was recommended. The lawn came up like a thick carpet, especially in the barest and driest patches. The lawn looks fabulous and we have booked an overseeding and aeration for the spring. Thank you.

Nutri-Lawn came by to open my Irrigation system for the summer today and showed up when expected. Frank Madore was very friendly and he saved us money by cleaning 4 sprinkler heads that were clogged up from our hard well water. Very happy with the technicians on this service call.

After just one season with NutriLawn, or yard looks awesome! We had just bought the house, and the lawns were in terrible shape with weeds, thistles, bare patches and crab grass... oh, the crabgrass! By the end of the season, the grass was lush, and the weeds were all gone! Amazing transformation. Our guy also gave us tips and tricks on overseeding, and how to care for the lawn as it was repairing itself. The office is never pushy with trying to sell extra services, and they do offer a great range of extra services if you want them. But, no pressure!

My lawn has never looked better since using Nutri-Lawn. They are responsive, dependable, and provide excellent tips for maintaining a great lawn.

This was my first year using nutri-lawn. To be honest I've always enjoyed taking care of my lawn and it's always looked decent. This year I decided to give them a try for two reasons. They had a good marketing campaign in the spring and I did it to spite their annoying competition with the annoying door knockers and relentless phone calls. I contacted them and was very pleased with the original call and the subsequent follow up sales call.

As the season went on in noticed that my lawn was thriving pretty much the same way it had in years prior when I did all the work myself using store bought product. When I was sent a customer servery I may have been a little harsh with some low scores. I was contacted by yet another very friendly customer service rep who offered me a little incentive along with her direct contact info and along promise to follow up with me closer next spring to see if we could achieve the higher outcome I had originally hoped for.

For that reason I'm scoring them a 4. Let's see if next year we can get a 5

I started using Nutri-Lawn this summer and glad that I did. I tried looking after it myself but with sad results. I like that they send an email informing me that they are coming to do an application and also an email saying what time they came and a detail explanation on what was done. Very professional. Yes I would recommend their service.

Our lawn was the worst on the street. We wanted to rip it out and start again. Nutri-Lawn convinced us to try their program instead. For less than the cost of replacing the lawn, we added a sprinkler system and their program killed all the weeds, fertilized and revitalized our lawn. We always recommend Nutri-Lawn to friends in need. Their ongoing service has been absolutely terriffic.

We hired Nutrition-Lawn to install an irrigation system in perennial garden and were very impressed with the polite, knowledgeable and respectful young men ie Matthew and Kyle, that we dealt with. They were always on time and completed work as promised. Kyle explained the app to us and how we could edit settings. He even showed us how to insert our own photos to head each zone. The app is very simple and can be controlled in cell phone. Our plants are happy with gentle misting every night, especially in this dry spell. We would not hesitate to recommend Nutri-Lawn.

We have been using Nutrilawn for a few years, for the irrigation system as well as some lawn maintenance throughout the spring and summer months. They are always prompt to respond and do an awesome job.

We called Nutri-Lawn to look after our old irrigation system. It needed quite a lot of repairs yet Nutri-Lawn did it so fast and so well! Steve and Chad were fantastic. Steve has been with this company for over 19 years and you can tell he is a real expert. Chad is well served having him as a mentor. I absolutely love their service, their knowledge and professionalism. I am now a Nutri-Lawn happy costumer promoting the business because of Steve and Chad. I also received fantastic service over the phone from Martina. She is lovely and knowledgeable. Not just someone who answers calls. She also knows what she is talking about. It sounds like a great company to work for. Steve is a happy employee who has been recognized by his big boss. He mentioned a great surprise birthday celebration a few years ago organized by his boss. I usually don't write reviews, but the entire team deserves it! We have been using Nutrilawn for maintaining our yard for several years. We are very satisfied with the services we have been receiving over the years. The services we receive include fertilizer for the lawn, anti-weed spray, aeration of the lawn during early spring, etc. We are informed few days in advance of their visit which is always honoured. The staff who perform these services are friendly and always on time. I am happy to recommend Nutrilawn to our friends and colleagues.

I am a customer for the last few years. I am happy with the service and results. My lawn is nice and green and almost free of weeds. There are occasional weeds that do not respond to the treatments. I also have a dog, she is 13.5 years old and used the yard all the time. Treatments seem to be safe for pets.

Service was excellent especially Darren. Technical analysis was very good and we appreciated the onsite visit. I like the easy way to pay online.

We decided to use Nutri-Lawn for the mosquito and tick control and are so happy we did. We were able to fully enjoy our wooded back yard all season long! Not one tick on our fur babies either!

Filled out the online form. Received a prompt call back. Understood from the "professional" I was speaking with that someone would come by to take a look. They did - I wasn't home! Tell me how they are supposed to get into my locked and gated backyard to provide the estimate they called back with??? Told today that they are not an appointment company????? Asked for the manager to call back. They said he would today. Somehow doubt it. So if you want Nutrilawn you better stay at home fulltime until someone comes!!!

I started using Nutri-Lawn last year as my lawn had been suffering with my lack of knowledge on how to care for it. They explained the process in detail and offered the services that were required to get my lawn looking healthy again. This year, we are moving and had pre-paid for services however, they worked with us to ensure navigation of the service to our new home. I would definitely recommend Nutri-Lawn for all of your maintenance needs.

Always first rate service at a fair price. Very satisfied with the work of Nutri-Lawn. Very attentive when questions / comments are made. Quick response in a knowledgeable fashion.

Courteous folks who always willing to answer questions and follow-up on requests. Prices are competitive with other organizations. The only down side is that they occassionaly fail to return the first voice mail but always answer the second voice mail.

I have been with Nutri Lawn for about 3 seasons now, and my lawn never looked better. I used to have my "favorite yellow flowers" instead of grass, and it would drive me insane. I could never enjoy my backyard, and now I can sit down and relax and enjoy my beautiful weed free grass, because of the services I get.

The customer care is really good, I find them NOT pushy at all, not like "other ones". Thank you for taking such a great care of my lawn.

We've had nutrilawn come and open and close our irrigation system 2 seasons in a row now and we're very happy with their efficiency and quality of service.

If there was a lawn of the month award in my neighborhood. I would win every month.

I have been using Nutri lawn for several years now and I m proud to recommend then to anyone who should inquire about my beautiful lawn. The office staff is always polite and respectful. If I notice a stubborn weed problem at any time during my contract, I just contact them and they will return and re-spray at no extra cost. (I don t have to go back to my neighborhood hardware store and buy more money B Gon spray)

In the pass I would try to do lawn care myself, but when I took a look at how much money I was spending at the hardware store on products that never worked like the Nutri Lawn product s, the time involved, and my poor results in comparison to the price of a Nutri lawn visit. It s was a no brainer, plus I can think of many other things to do with my weekends.

I used there services last year for the first time and I will definitely be using them again for many years to come.
The staff from the person I spoke to on the phone to the person that came and looked after my beautiful lawn all summer were great.
Awesome staff very friendly and helpful there products were great and I now have the greenest lawn on my street.

Their weed control fiesta was extremely effective, and the aeration and overseeding has always solved any problems I've had with bare spots on my lawn.

I am impressed with the customer service this far; it's still early in our relationship but so far so good!

Our lawn has never looked better. The irrigation system was installed in just one day. Our backyard was a little beat up but Nutri-lawn quickly spread dirt and seed and in a week the lawn looked better than ever. The app works very well to control all functions of the irrigation system.

We just had Corey winterize our sprinkler system. He was very courteous and explained to us what we would have to do in future years to prepare for opening and closing the system. Corey was friendly and efficient.

The Nutri-lawn team is always very polite and accommodating when scheduling/providing services. They are careful around flower beds and provide helpful advice and excellent service!

My lawn suffered from the heat and lack of water last year. At the end of August, I had the ''Overseed with Aeration Premium'' service applied and within a few weeks, my lawn looked full and luscious. I am glad I took Leo's advice, he is always pleasant and courteous. Very good customer service!

Last year we lost our lawn due to Grubs and cinch bugs plus a dry summer...We called Nutrilawn and had a service which brough it back partially by end of summer .. This year we are going for the full treatment

I have a been a customer with Nutri -Lawn from the first it opened. I had a neighbour who would only hold a hose on his lawn, although our lawn was in very good shape, in any case he had his bugs over our lawn, we called for top soil and sod from Manderely sod. After we had the topsoil as I had heard of Nutri-Lawn and have been very pleased with their company and their people if they see something point it out to my husband and I, so we could to make sure we would look after it.

The people with Nutri-Lawn are very easy to talk it if you need something.

They are liars.I requested Fiesta weed control to them.They did NOT spray Fiesta, but just came to put the sign on my lawn and charge me more than 100 dollars.NOT a single weed went dry or dead. Even flourishing out more.I bought Fiesta equivalent and sprayed it by myself.Now my yard is beautiful.Do it by yourself.DO NOT GET ROBBED OR SCAMMED FROM NUTRILAWN.

We first used Nutri-Lawn last year, the difference in our grass from spring to fall was significant. The weed control was excellent. We have signed on again this year for their service. Both the technicians and the office staff have been very helpful.

Can not and would not recommend. Before you sign up be aware that many of your weeds will be resistant to their products...which when you think about it is ironic because I am hiring you to get rid of my weeds!! Of course they can offer additional weed control for more $$$$.
Grab grass in particular which is rampant in Ottawa will still be there. Also be aware that if you get their over-seeding service you will be required to water your lawn a couple of times a day to keep them moist. I feel robbed. Very disappointed.

I have been struggling with my lawn for several years and decided that it was time to call the professionals. Jennifer was very helpful and patient in explaining my options and requirements.
I am now looking forward to a luscious green lawn in the coming season.

I like the detailed reports that the technicians provide after each fertilizing and weeding visit, but the price was too expensive for me to continue using the service, so I now handle the weeding and fertilizing myself. I still would recommend giving this company a try when evaluating different providers.

I was disappointed to see that NutriLawn is paying customers a $10 Tim Horton's gift card to give them a 4-5 star rating on Google!!

I have been a very satisfied client from the time I started using Nutri Lawn's service in 2002 to the present. The service and advice has always been the best. In the hot summer time my grass stays a lovely dark green because I follow the advice given. The annual package of applications keeps my lawn healthy and strong and prevents pest and other problems to a minimum. I have no problems discussing things with the technicians and they are always flexible to do extras and ready to answer my questions. We just finished up our first year with Nutrilawn. The service has been great and they are always available to answer questions.

The folks at Nutri Lawn were consistently the saviours of our lawn for over a decade. Dry or wet summers did not matter, our lawn is the nicest on our street and has been the benchmark of nice lawns in our neighbourhood! Our TLC and the services from Nutri Lawn have given our property the "curb appeal" which is required for our sale of the property early next year! I recommend Nutri Lawn 110%!

Terrible quality!
I purchased the lush package and all they did was put a little bit of seed and fertilizer and left!

For grass to grow, it has to germinated. And for that to happen, the seeds must be covered in soil and must constantly be moist. They just put the seed down with no soil... no chance for their seeds to grow.

I would strongly not recommend this company.

We have tried many other companies and none of them compare! Our grass always looks green and beautiful and their seed is the best! Also, the customer service can't be beat! Had put in a request for an estimate 2 wks ago. Received a call a week later with a guarantee that an in-person estimate will be provided by Oct 2nd. So far...nothing! No estimate, no follow-up, nada. Had heard lot of good things about them, so am puzzled with their lack of professionalism.
