On the Nile directly - lovely and simple eating - friendly service - a wonderful Aswanian experience

Had dinner here and tried a couple of their tagines - super tasty and delicious food. The restaurant has a really chilly vibe and a lovely place to relax in the evening. Great staff and service. Looking forward to our next visit!

Fantastic place! A discovery on the Elephantine island. Dine at the edge of the nile, with lovely people, and most importantly! Fresh, homemade and spectacular food !!! thanks to Ali jamaica :)

Place is cozy and nice. Prices are fair. We got the dishes bit late with some apology, so I accept that. Dishes were nice but we could not choose which we wanted and got average food compared to other restaurants for similar price. The view is very nice though and it is nice to sit here and have shisha. I would recommend the place to visit but there are few things which should be handled better a bit - options of dishes and not forgeting to bring them all. I do not appreciate a rasta easy-peasy kind of guy walking around saying all the time everything good, easy, no problem, my friend but not bringing me the food in time. ;)

Hospitality is great and meat is really tender but the dish is rather salty for my tougue.

Straight to point. Very pricey they show you something else on menu price and bill is something else. Very little quantity guys at least serve what we pay for. So many other options in the city.

This was a truly delightful place. We had a couple of meals here, once opting for something smaller (tomato soup) and the next time opting for something more substantial (meat tajine and some salad). It was nice to have many different options. The food was delicious both times, and the guys who work there are really friendly and laid-back. It was such a nice change compared to a lot of the hassle that we've experienced in Egypt. I'd definitely recommend it!

Nubian Dream is a perfect spot to eat a meal while seeing sites on Elephantine Island, drink some beers with friends, or even just to sit and stare at the Nile. The service is over-the-top welcoming and the delicious food is made fresh from the Jamaica kitchen. This is one of the most relaxing places I've visited in Egypt, and offers a welcome respite from marathon touring and traveling. Five pounds round trip to take the ferry over from the dock by KFC.

No thanks - avoid this tourist trap. 250 LE per person for ok food (NOT 150 LE as mentioned in previous comments), plus drinks on top. Honestly it felt like such a rip off, make sure you clarify prices BEFORE ordering or you will be in for a rude and expensive bill. Ashry Toky is nearby and serves a similar menu but better tasting food and cheaper prices.

Overpriced restaurant. We ordered spicy meat tagine (100LE, drinks 15LE). The food came nicely served but the meat was very chewy and fatty. The sides - potatos and salad - were fine. Place offers a good view over the city.

Really nice experience! Great Nubian food, with meat and vegetables. Also you must try the Nubian jabana coffee, made with spices as cinnamon and ginger. And the owners are lovely people. :)

Everything is very delicious. A colorful interior and a gorgeous view of the opposite shore. At the end of the dinner, a free dessert was offered. The only negative is that hookah can only be smoked on the lower platform (without a view).

Visited June 2019 for dinner. Great food, great service, great view of the Nile. Location is right next to the Nubian Village. Cheap public boat access from the East bank. Would recommend.

Beautiful and beautiful place especially at night overlooking the very beauty and is directly on the Nile and offers drinks and excellent food for recreation and family and friends and I have a cup of coffee called cheese, a local drink of the region's heritage is a special way is a mixture of Turkish coffee and cheese and some The other additions are brought in a jar of pottery on charcoal I advise everyone to try it out

Nubian dream restaurant is a unique place. The members of the restaurant transmit their good humor, their smile and their kindness so that one can only feel good and have a relaxing and entertaining moment, all this, on areas of reggae, Nubian or Egyptian music. It is also a place where tourists, young Egyptians and Nubians meet and have the opportunity to exchange views. You will have understood it, I highly recommend this place if you go through Aswan and more precisely on the island of Elephantine because there is no wrong note. Indeed, on top of all that, we eat very well there.

This place is awesome. The host Mahmoud is awesome and has a laid back Rastafarian/Nubian vibe. We ate here three times and the food was delicious each time. The BBQ chicken was our favorite! Oh, in the evenings around 20h00, be prepared for a Nubian party with live music!

This place is delicious! The best meal of our trip to Egypt so far. The food is authentic and tastes like homemade food. I suspect there is some out of sight grandmother or some great family chef cooking all the meals. After having so many buffets at hotels and tourist traps, it is really refreshing to get a proper cooked to order meal. Some of the dishes remind me of the food my Auntie's cook for me when I visit them. If I could go again, I'd love to try their stuffed pigeon but I think you have to call ahead to let them know you want that. We tried a few of their tagine's, all of which were really nice and different from one another. As well as their grilled lemon chicken which was also wonderful. Go here, you won't regret it! I would go back in a heartbeat.

A very nice restaurant with a wonderful view over the Nile! The food here is very good, worth every penny.
Our hotel is nearby so we spent almost every night here. The mood, the atmosphere with the music and the view were perfect.

The best place, with the best food and wonderful service. For the vegatarian like me they have a great selection as well as many dishes to impress the meat lovers. Do not miss a chance to sit and enjoy the view of the Nile and Aswan. This is a must if you come to Aswan!

Located next to the ferry dock, this restaurant offers tajines and fresh juices. It is also possible to come and smoke a shisha flavored with honey or fruit.
The portions are generous. A tagine may be enough for 2 people.

Nubian Dream Restaurant gets five stars. I went on a super hot afternoon to order take out because my friend was not feeling well enough to eat at their gorgeous restaurant. When the waiter told me my order was ready, I was looking for the plastic bags of food to take back to the hotel room but what I got was two servers carrying large tray s of plated food ready to escort me back to my hotel anywhere on the island!!

Now that is customer service!!! I have never seen anything like it in my life. My sick friend was so overjoyed she said they made her feel like a Nubian princess.

The view is amazing, the owner is very friendly. I had veggie tangine (comes with salad and bread and rice), and juice and it cost 90EGP. The food was nice and I would go back.

Ali offers you very good dishes, hearty. Ask for 'nubian sweet bread' for dessert, bread made in creamy milk. Part of the vegetables are cooked by his mother and the service is offered by the team with ... THE SMILE!

Very Peaceful place! We smoked sheesha. The server made us a mixture of flavors and it was the best sheesha I had in Egypt! He also brought the hookah the lit up! It was a great experience! I enjoyed our table overlooking the water. It was very peaceful and cozy

Excellent cuisine here with of course a Nubian twist. The tanjines were very good. We'll come back for other dishes. There are great views of the Nile. Reggae at night.

Great restaurant, with a perfect view by the Nile, super relaxed and with a very nice host, Ali Jamaica. I had chicken with vegetables and rice, it was delicious. Fresh seasonal fruit juice also great. (Beer available :D)
