I ordered Vegetarian tagine but it was only row potatoes. Hence, the portions of salad and tahini was really enough for a kid.

The food was really slow. I ordered the first one on the menu. It was served with stewed potatoes, rice, vegetable salad, bread and white sauce. It tasted good. The beef stew was rotten.
Nice place .. excellent location .. friendly people .. delicious food .. the perfect place to have a nice time
We finally made it over here for lunch, this is one of the more relaxing places in a city that can be overwhelming. Sit down, grab a beer, read a book. The owners will make you feel welcome and unhurried. Food takes forever to come out as it s made to order, so chill.
Very tasty!!! And not expensive. At 150Le you can eat well. And the panorama of the Nile is cool. Recommend.
If you want true Egyptian hospitality, come here. These guys are top class, great people to talk to. The food is delicious homemade Nubian, and the restaurant is very beautiful, which is situated right on the Nile bank. If you're worried about the ferry, it only costs 5 Egyptian pounds round trip. So visit the island and restaurant.
Interesting walk through the village!! Food was basic but great.. they did have to send out for my beer.
The atmosphere was beautiful, wonderful view of the Nile. The people were super friendly and the food was delicious. What else do you need?
The owner was extremely friendly and did everything to make us welcome. The food was great and very fresh. Since the place was mostly outdoors, it was chilly in the evening in January, but the owner kindly set us a table inside. It's definitely worth the boat ride to elephant island to dine there. Very inexpensive, too. We'll definitely return next time we're in Aswan. Shokran!
LGA and there is a masterpiece special place and eating them from the neighborhood places to eat where
I found this restaurant on the horse cellar and then googled it to see the special high-profile special taste. Sitting on the river watching the lights coming from the distance at night and returning to the small sailboat is especially freehand. The owner is particularly enthusiastic and let us also entertain our Nubian local drinks. We ordered the pottery beef and roast chicken boss and let us taste the pot stewed zucchini. It is highly recommended to try this restaurant while traveling in Aswan. Note that there is a five-minute boat next to kfc that requires five Ai pounds for one person.
Beef terrine is super delicious, there are homemade bread, family business, service attitude is also very good, highly recommended, KFC next to the boat 5 ounces round trip, do not be slaughtered
Woow
Amazing place with very inspiring Nile view
Welcoming nice staff they are very kind and helpful
Nice well cooked delicious home made food ( meat, chicken and fish) done with love by their mother and sister
Good variety of hot and cold drinks
I was there many times 1 month ago
It was amazing experience that I hope to repeat next time in aswan

We were staying at the Movenpick Resort on Elephantine Island. Plush but a bit sterile. We wanted to go somewhere with more character but found it really difficult to escape the 'compound'. The Nubian Dreams Restauant answered an enquiry via Facebook straight away and a guy came to reception, full of beaming smiles and walked us over. The place is great. Right on the Waters edge, bohemian decor, local musicians and great food (hot and safe tegines etc). I can't recommend it enough... total delight. Go!
Luxury, old and dilapidated felucca but with an incredible charm, I really loved it
It s the best place to visit in Aswan good food & hospitality very clean place
ask for Ali Jamaica he is the best Nubian man he looked after us for the all 3 days we spend in Aswan
They offer accommodations very cheap price and clean apartment In the island not far from centre of Aswan .
Thanks Ali & Jamaica family
Wonderfull place with very friendly staff , all drinks , food, shisha are amazing, this place very recommended to those who needs fresh air with nile view
Very hospitable but just check prices before comit to anything
We just had lunch here and it's been super good. Had some spicy fish (which was awesome) and a veggie tagine. Friendly owner, great view and good prices. Highly recommend :)
Very good place, one of my best Christmases ever. Hospitality is great and the place is so cozy. Just purely amazing.
Beautiful atmosphere, you can easily get there by boat (you pay a modest sum on arrival). The quality of the dishes on the occasion of my visit (May 2019) was rather poor.
Great moment. Good dishes, fresh and in quantity. Nice view of the Nile. A family and friendly team. We will come back
Located right next to the ferry terminal where the KFC ferry arrives. Very good food, interesting "nubian coffee" with spices and cinnamon. They have beer (sometimes).
It's wonderful, grilled chicken with lemon and eggplant with bechamel my favorites. The atmosphere is very quiet and the waiters very friendly
Very excellent and ate them and the place is there to admire. The treatment is very friendly and especially the owner of the place is on.

The food was decent with beautiful view - you have to ask about the prices and the size before order, otherwise they would rip you off ... Sad!
Super tastey food at good prices. Extra bonus- wonderful atmosphere a short ferry ride away from the hussle of Aswan. Ali goes out of his way to welcome his guests and to ensure that they enjoy their experience.
Highly recommend!
Very tasty and reasonably priced food. Most meals are between 100-150 LE. They have big choice of meat and vegetarian meals. Staff is very nice and friendly. Highly recommended place to visit!
This is not Nubian food it's standard Egyptian food you can get anywhere marked up 500%
A great place! Tasty food, friendly staff, and the location is beautiful. They're going to tell you in their first hello that they're family owned, but this is true and marketing I didn't mind at all :) Mom and sis in the kitchen, with brother serving.
They serve mostly traditional Egyptian fare, we did chef's choice with Stellas and enjoyed most everything.
Primarily accessible by boat. If you want to to walk from the Movenpick hotel on the island, be sure to ask the staff, who will direct you to walk a crazy route that winds through a couple of businesses and a dense dilapidated little village. Google maps had us running into dead ends.
Only one vegan option, the vegetarian tajine, but delicious and well worth the visit. The freshly pressed juices are also very good.
Best restaurant in terms of quality view and an amazing view of the Nile !!! I highly recommend it , specially if you are staying in elephantine island !!! Great service from Rasta Mustafa !!! He s such a nice man
Beautiful place and really good food...great service. Thanks Mr Ali Jamaica
Very beautiful place and nice food .friendly staff and a nice family I recommend coe to this place
Good food with the family! And a nice view of the Nile.
Nice place with good atmosphere, they have beer and the food is good. It can be reached by a ferry that goes back and forth from the Elefantine island for 5 liras per person
This is by far my favourite restaurant! Overlooking the Nile river onto the city lights of Aswan, it s one of the prettiest places I ve been. The home cooking is amazing, the service is friendly, and Ali Jamaica is simply the best! Visit, and I promise you won t want to leave
Jamaica is so lovely! And the place is unique full of Nubian atmosphere, and perfect position right on the Nile. And most important is their foooood!! So tasty and it shows their Nubian touch, I highly recommend it! I'm a fan of shisha in general so you could try it here and it's good like the best in Aswan haha and Luxor tbh !, staff is so kind, humble, and friendly
Much love!
Very good quality of food. Friendly as feeling at home.
You can enjoy coffee, tea and water cigarettes in a relaxed view of the Nile River in El Pantino!
Good food and good service. Slightly expensive but one tagine meal can be split by two people well enough.
We loved this cafe. Its a good place you can spend time while waiting for the ferry. We drank tea and smoked sisha. The sisha was good.
so amazing place with perfect atmospher & so friendly staff
Psychological calmness is really terrible, a feeling of paradise, people cheer their hospitality according to its origins, always by saying a beautiful place where you meet beautiful and hospitable people
One of the best places in all of Egypt! Seriously. We were there yesterday and the food was AMAZING! Plus: the location is really cozy and has a great view over the Nile. The staff was the best: super friendly, funny and heartfelt. We felt at home immediately.
Very welcoming staff with delicious home made food, reasonable price, perfect view.we really enjoyed being there.you can reach there using a ferry just opposite the restaurant on the other side.
The food was amazing! The atmosphere was really great. Make sure to grab a table with the view of the Nile. Worth it.
Virtually the only restaurant on the island, the food is fine, and the prices maybe a little high.
Its the best place to visit in Aswan good food .hospital very clean. Thanks Ali jamaica
Great food, fair prices, and fantastic view of the Nile. Plus, it is right next to the ferry terminal so it is easy to get to and from.
People like honey enough quiet and service is beautiful with all that simple need, but sweet simplicity forbid from the crowd of the country peace of mind here the treasures of the world and violin Zamalkoyeh has the sweetest need
I came to this place and felt it was a really and chill place Nubian place but I was wrong... Unfortunately they left behind the Nubian hospitality to just get money as much as I can. I met Moustafa and we agreed a Felucca the day after and More
Worst-tasting Turkish coffee I've had in 5 months living in Egypt. For 25 EGP, as well. Plates are minimum 90 EGP, most 120-140. Friendly staff and heard the tagine was good, but "Let's just stay for coffee to be polite" wasn't worth it.
Very good places. Great food and atmosphere best coofe .lonely service Ali Jamaica is great host .thanks Ali Jamaica
This restaurant is a wonderful escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Only a boat ride away from the main area and has a wonderful view of the Nile. It is so peaceful and has great food! Highly recommend it!
I just arrived in Aswan and this is already my favorite place!! Food is abundant and delicious, the view is breathtaking, hospitality is amazing. All of the sudden you forget all those temples that you planned to see...
The worst restaurant I have ever visited in Aswan. The food quality and quantity were not good at all.
Visited the village but not the restaurant. Very gracious people. So hospitable!! Even shared their crocodile with us.
Great cafe restaurant with wonderful views of the Nile and East of Aswan.
This is the third time I have been here for dinner. The welcome is warm. Ali is lovely and very welcoming. The dishes are very good and prices are reasonable for the frame.
I highly recommend it. You can go there with your eyes closed.
Wonderful and comfortable psychological and hospitality and generosity and beautiful Jamaica
Perfect setting along the Nile, giving this place an amazing ambiance. Add to that traditional Nubian food, music and an enthusiastic owner, and you'll have a great evening. Loved this place!
