We visited the place twice through our 5 days visit of Aswan, they deliver super fresh meat and chicken. Staff are very friendly and explaining. Their chef is authentic Nubian, experience you will always think of for some time after leaving!
Thank you guys for all the hot and heartwarming food.

Wonderful, relaxed Rasta atmosphere calmed us perfectly. They served a great vegetable tagine with a loaf of proper local bread, and were very generous with strong WiFi, comfy cushions, genuine smiles and all the time you wanted to scan the Nile. Conveniently located right next to the ferry, they can help with directions.

Nice spot along the Nile River and away from the noises. Take the public ferry next to KFC which runs all day to get from mainland to the restaurant. Tourists pay 5 LE per person per way. Staff are friendly and tossed in some complimentary items like potatoes and cold watermelon. Home to a very cute & persistent cat looking for food.

Stayed on the island and ate here for every meal other than breakfast! The staff are very friendly and hospitable. I would recommend to anyone vising the island or staying Aswan, just take the ferry over near the KFC.

In case you love sharing a table for 4 with 6 people you don't know, prefer food shared only 70 minutes after you ask for it and a menu that has 12 options from which only 2 are available at a time for a fair price of double the normal in Egypt, then don't think twice, this is the place for you. Oh, and I forgot, 15 minutes after ordering the waiter will come back and ask you to remind him about what you ordered.

Lovely food, very relaxed vibe. Meal for 5 with drinks ~600 EGP. Had the grilled fish, grilled chicken, fried chicken, vegetables. Served with bread and rice. Nubian coffee, tamarind juice, mint juice were all good.

Wonderful spot on the Elephantine Island, with traditional Nubian tagines, coffee, tea, beer, and snacks in a very relaxed, hostel-like atmosphere. Easy to stay for a long time sipping drinks and watching the Nile go by.

Very relaxing place, with a quiet terrace on River Nile. Food is very tasty and local, Egyptian and Nubian. All prepared by the owner's mother. Staff is very pleasant: I feel like at home, with my family. High value for money. Let's try it!

Great atmosphere and very friendly people! They are so welcoming! And the food is fantastic with large portion size. Every main meal comes with bread, salad, veges and hummus .
They also serve beer - pint for 50Le.

There is no menu and only one food choice. On the day we visited the option was fish and vegetable tagine for 70 egp (tourist price I'm sure).

This was my favorite restaurant in Egypt so far. The owner Ali Jamaica was extremely friendly and helpful. Prices were very reasonable and certainly worth every pound. My recommendation is to get a fresh fruit juice, I ended up getting another one because it was so good and fresh. 10/10 would go again.

Me and my partner went for dinner last night and it was amazing! It s a family run business which is great and you could definitely tell that a lot of love goes into their food. The portion sizes were huge and the food itself was delicious.

The mains are about 120 EGP which is incredibly reasonable considering how much food there is and the quality of it. The atmosphere of the place was great too- we sat looking over the Nile listening to the Nubian music.

The restaurant is on Elephantine Island and it s very easy to get to- the ferry comes about every 10 minutes and the dock is literally right next to the restaurant. It s only a two minute ferry ride across the Nile and it runs until midnight as well so you can go at any time. We will definitely be going back and I highly recommend going here if you re in Aswan.

My favorite place in Aswan!
The setting is perfect for a cozy chill outing, the menu has a great variety and good quality, and the service is the absolute best. The staff are funny and friendly, and they make you feel at home.
If you are ever in Aswan you must visit this place! You will fall in love with it just like I did.

Delicious Egyptian home cooking. Took awhile to find the public ferry to restaurant (ferry is behind KFC) but there s no sign ferry so ask someone. Once you find it, pay 5EGP for a round trip on ferry and ferry will take you directly to the restaurant. Frequent ferry service and restaurant open late. We had a fish tangine and beef tangine. Both were made-to-order, piping hot and delicious. The rice was also yummy Costs us 350EGP for 2 main courses, 2 beers, and bread ( 20USD as of Nov 2018). A bargain price for dinner. Service served with a smile. Highly recommend

Food was fresh but average quality, for example there was msg flavoring in the rice. The portion size is big enough for two people to share, as indicated by the price which is about double the average for one portion. They speak some English. Service was very slow, even to take a soft drink out of the fridge took about 20 minutes. Staff were friendly and can pack leftovers for takeaway. Nice view of the river but I wouldn t come back.

Very nice view of the nile and the shore of Aswan.
To get there take the boat (1 every 15 minutes from the pier near the burgerking, 5lbs per crossing).
The food is simple, homemade and by the minute.
Good value for money, the servers are nice with the charm of Nubian nonchalance :)

Had a delicious meal, tried a tangine. Thoroughly enjoyed the live music, the traditional kisir, the Nubian tambour. Wish I'd had more time for another visit. Definitely on the cards for my next visit.

Fresh, home cooked meals. Chicken, beef, camel, pigeon, fish and vegetable tagine or barbecue. Fresh juices and Nubian Jabana coffee. Alcohol is available as well as many flavours of shisha.
Amazing views of The Nile River and Aswan city from the colourfully decorated terrace.
Friendly Nubian staff who speak English and Arabic. Nothing is too much trouble to make your visit memorable.

Can recommend this place, very good food and plenty, great view of the Aswan skyline and conveniently located next to the ferry. Very friendly staff too! You can smoke shisha too, as far as I could tell no alcohol but this was no problem for me.

Dined at the Nubian Dream with our 4 children while we stayed at the Movempick for 3 nights. Very good tagine and mezze. Very friendly Australian / Egyptian owner. We went there by motor boat, driven by a Nubian we met on the pier of the hotel. Small post-dinner stroll in the Nubian village where an impressive calm and gentleness reign.

Food was great.

SCAM OF THE CENTURY

SCAM OF THE CENTURY
Waiting for an hour to be served dishes of questionable freshness. Staff unwelcome and all at inadmissible rates (150LE / person or three times the normal price). Go your way. If you want to taste a real Nubian meal for 50LE, go to the El Amin guest house, located just opposite.
