Nspire Outreach is a great organization. It provides much needed services throughout Metro Atlanta to homeless and under-served populations while creating a way for their clients to return to being productive citizens regardless of their past history. Nspire addresses the needs of the whole person including mind, body and spirit thus creating a more last positive effect on those they serve. They encourage each client to take control and responsibility for their own life.

I was homeless with my 3 kids, staying in my car for hours living different places while its cold and things got so bad that i came across shelters that made us leave at certain times so basically we were still homeless..i cried and prayed to God everyday while my kids sleep in the backseat while in Walmart parking lot..I started to do internet search and came across Nspire..i gave them a call on a Tuesday and i was lucky thats the exact day that they do interviews but i called too late..but wait ..Pam heard my situation and said she will call me right back. .i held my phone praying. And less than 5 mins she called back and told me to be on my way..i came with the little gas i had.soon as i walked in the building i had a big relief for some reason, not knowing if they had space for us..i did my application and gave it Jerome,he did not judge me..my kids fell in love with him instantly ..he gave them candy and made us feel so welcomed..then came along Gregg ..he got the job done!..the apartment was not ready at the time but He made reservations at a nice nearby hotel ..we stayed over night..(we slept so good...in the HEAT)...woke up next morning. .went to apatment, meet the other weman who were also helpful and sweet..Jerome showed me around brought clean bedding, groceries, hygiene products etc. ..Now im working, kids in school and i can come home to a nice, warm healthy environment for my kids ..I THANK GOD FOR PUTTING KIND HEARTED LOVING CARING PEOPLE (GREGG..PAM..JEROME) IN THIS WORLD..if i wasnt for them i dont know where ill be..I love them..NSPIRE OUTREACH GETS 10stars from me **********

This organization came to my house the 2nd week of December I had my children's bike outside as usual weather was awesome and they took my kids bikes with out been label. My son had a from college and had left 2 printers on the stair in front of my house and that was taken. I called and file a complaint call millions of times and never got a call back. I see this organization been not a honest not even a courtesy call back. I always donate things to them but this they screw up big time. My kids don't have no bikes and that is very disappointed

How is that you call everyday asking for a donation. Then we get the stuff together put it out and you NEVER show up to pick it up. Then refuse to answer the phone or even take messages. If this even was a legit charity you'll never get anything from us again smh

I donated items once and now receive an onslaught of phone calls. I receive at least 4 calls per week, and sometimes I receive more than one per day. I have asked them to take my name off of their call list and I have emailed repeatedly requesting the same but nothing has changed. Their charity may be legitimate, but I will never donate to them again. They really need to learn how to treat their donors.

Nspire contacted me for donations. After several days of washing, sorting and bagging/boxing household items, clothes, toys etc and placing them in requested location, on the afternoon of the scheduled date, I received an email that collection was cancelled and they would return in about three weeks. I will not donate to this organization ever!!

My experience with the program was all nice until I decided to leave for personal reasons. The owner Greg Kennard trys to show he cares about u as long as he is in control of your life, but once u leave he shows his true colors. Once I left the program he instructed me that I could no long keep my job at the call center knowing I was a mother of two children. An once I requested a separation notice he listed that I quit my job. So my experience that they speak so highly on in the call center for the 6months of my stay will not\ can not be used on my resume. Be smart God lives in us all but some people use God jus to collect money. And once your no longer of any use to bringing in their money u will be ignored and disrespected. I'm sure you can find anywhere to call home but here isn't it.

We make the decision to grow as individuals, but we take the journey of growth as a family. Nspire is a life changing experience, because it challenges old thought processes. There is some fun along the way, but a there's a time for everything.

This "non-profit" is really just a company that takes advantage of those wishing to help, as well as those who are in need. They harass you multiple time a days after you make a single donations. I've blocked every number they have called me from, but they are more persistent than the liquid terminator. This is the only time I've felt a need to write a review about any company. The are a bunch of leeches masquerading as christians to get your clothing/property to sell for a profit. Nspire outreach only inspires me to block the 10+ phone numbers they have harassed me from. If they didn't hide behind being a non-profit christian organization, I would file charges for harassment immediately.

I have been contributing to this program for years. They are courteous, consistent, and caring. Those traits apply to their outreach for items needed by those they serve. It is also the likely reason it is successful. You can just get a feeling of humanity regardless of who you speak with. To provide pickup at your door explains the extent of their outreach. I encourage everyone to support their efforts in a consistent manner.

Illegal 501 3 C. FAKE CHARITY BEING INVESTIGATED right now!!
A literal crackhead figure it out how to run a scam! Do not donate to Hope House AKA Nspire aka David's house. Why in the world doesn't nonprofit need at least 3 different names??? Plus the Park Avenue Thrift stores where they sell everything they are donated!

Any good Donations will be STOLEN by the drivers, people working in the WAREHOUSE - mostly and the people putting this stuff on the floor.
They were on their employees they don't even get paid minimum wage. If they can blame an employee for an operational business loss they take it out of there check making them go away below minimum wage which is extremely illegal with the IRS. They literally ruin lives by making you think they're a good company helping domestic violence victims and NOTHING goes to domestic violence victims nothing!!! Look at the two different times they were reviewed by news stations. It's like Goodwill except they sell everything at Park Avenue Thrift stores that has it been stolen. They're Park Avenue Thrift stores are all disgusting the floors probably have not been cleaned in 30 years there's exposed wires. This is a terrible terrible Place ran by someone lacking a soul it is my mission in life to shut this business down.

Do not shop here! Go to any other thrift store there's so many out there don't go to a place that abuses its employees steal from their paychecks allegedly help single mothers and then finds them so much for having dirty discs that they don't have a paycheck to pay their rent and their any worse but then when they ask for help in the first place.

The owners all drives $60,000 cars this is a huge scam and not a charity.

I am concerned they are taking advantage of my elderly parents. Without speaking to somebody about the program my concerns still exist. Warning to all.

I have been trying to get in touch with them every day since ( only 4 days) I m confused about the customer service.
I m afraid I accidentally put something that wasn t meant to be a donation in with my pick up..... but I can not reach any one to inquire.

You kick me out for some little things and now I'm sleeping in my friend car freezing to dead. How Nspire help people if somebody do some thing so small they want to kick you out for it.like having your headphones in when you in the car but in there rule book I can have my headphones in the car or the job Nspire talk about. I work there but I ask the guy who is training me to fall back because when I was on the phone talking to people about Nspire.the guy who is training me was talking in my other ear. So Nspire kick me out in the cold with no where to go and one of the staff hit me in the face. They don't want to give me my paycheck and I really need help

Nspire called us a couple times and wanted a donation. They were to come 7/28/2016 for pick up, marked the boxes after collecting good stuff for hours. It is almost 9pm and no one came and no one answers the phone. I'll be delivering to Catholic Charities I guess tomorrow but don't understand why they call constantly and don't pick up. Just found out it is not a NC but a Georgia place too which they never advised. Don't really care about that but they are beginning to seem not totally legit. Also on phone call, guess they don't give receipts for their pick ups either, hmmmm. They also call themselves HOPE for Domestic Violence? Will ask them next time to take me off their list.

Being here at Nspire is one of the best experience I've ever been involved in. The environment is very safe. I feel a gradual change in me. This program is ran with such a positive force that it deserves a ten star. If this program doesn't change a man then this man isn't ready for change. Nspire is a very good program.

When I entered the NSPIRE program, I was just over thirty days sober, estranged from my family, and unemployed. The holistic approach to recovery that this program offers is a GOD -nspired blessing. With the encouragement of community and staff, I am currently pursuing a degree in Psychology, I have reconnected with my family, and my relationship with my Higher Power has grown. The daily encouragement has helped me grow and become more self-aware and selfless, in addition to maintaining my sobriety. With creation of this program, the entire trajectory of my life has changed, and I am forever grateful.

My experience with this organization yesterday was...

My experience with this organization yesterday was horrible. If I could give 0 stars I would. We were told that the truck would pick up our donations between 7am and 7pm and to please set the donations outside. I called at 1:40pm to verify it was still on schedule since I had not seen them prior to this time. I was told the driver was on pickup #52 and that we were pickup #72. The items were placed outside and remained there until 8:00pm without a truck coming by at all. What makes this matter much worse is that someone from N-spire called me at 5:40 to verify pickup. I told her the truck had not been by. She stated that she would call the driver and have him come by to pick the items up. Still no truck or phone call to communicate. I called the number back multiple times with no luck even though on a few calls someone picked up the phone and hung up. I know this because I heard them speaking in the background. Today I received a call at 10:30am asking me about the situation. I explained it just as it is written above. She calls the local manager here just to find out he is in another part of the state and would not be able to pick the items up for another 2 weeks. The lady then told me the driver yesterday referred to the pick up as a "mis-stop" with no further explanation. It was told to me that the driver "lied" about coming by. To be a so-called "faith based" organization, there were many pieces of this instance that seemed untruthful. I will no longer be supporting this outreach and anyone that does needs to understand your donations may or may not be picked up and there are no communication efforts whatsoever. It appears they have had many complaints over the past few years including some that were investigated by the Attorney General.

I used this organization one time and now I am overwhelmed with calls from them. Multiple times a day, very late night calls and unprofessional messages left on my house answering machine. I have asked to be removed from their list more than once; yet, I am still receiving multiple calls and e-mails. Tonight, the person calling "Tony" from Nspire crossed the line. I did not answer and on my machine (which comes through my cordless house phones) he is laughing stating "put the bowl up, we can't do that here". My daughter brings me the phone and is now questioning me all about what he said and why he sounded so creepy. The business closes at 5 pm and yet at 8:25 pm, they are calling my house. I will definitely be placing a call into the main location tomorrow.

After our phone call blocker showed that it had intercepted its HUNREDTH unsolicited and unwanted call from this one I did a quick search, and found BBB complaints, a state investigation and a story by WSB TV. They are HARRASSING!!! I literally donated twice. And the second time I literally had to dig up something's that I didn't really use to gijve them because they kept calling everyday at least 4 times a day looking for donations. It's aggravating! I do my mind helping at all but this organization is super aggressive. I don't have things to just do hate everyday. Anyways, the day we had the trooical storm Irma and all the power was out l, they said they had a truck coming to get some things from 7 am to 7 pm. I wasn't going to put out the boxes and bags over night because of the wind and rain I get up at 7 am to take the items out despite the rain and I had a note on my door saying sorry you missed us?? Like how??? It was extremely bad weather and i was putting it out at the correct time they stated. I was going to put it out just not over night. So what rime do they really come?? they have called me since and when ever I answer they hang up. Prior to I called them after the incident and no response. I just wanted to tell them the misunderstanding and can we reschedule. But instead I get the answering machine. So nope never ever again will I give my things to them ever I'll just continue to go to the good will and kidney foundation.

I have received multiple calls from this organization. In the beginning I offered to leave out some items. Instead of following my explicit instructions of where to pick up the items, the person stole my laundry from another place and left the donations. This happened a second time even after I had cancelled the donation pick-up. I have had my laundry (awaiting pick-up by the laundry man) taken twice by Nspire. This is not a trust worthy or well-run organization.

I came into NSPIRE with my daughter a couple years ago and ever since then my life has been so much better! I was assisted with getting back into cosmetology school at Gwinnett Tech in which I just graduated from this past week. My daughter has been doing so well in school since we've been at NSPIRE! We've just received good news that she'll be in the gifted program at her school next year. NSPIRE met our basic needs and our life has been getting better everyday. I'll soon be moving into my own place and I owe it all to God and NSPIRE! Gregg and Mrs. Pam and the Staff are awesome!!!

I live in Duluth, GA and have known Gregg Kennard ...

I live in Duluth, GA and have known Gregg Kennard (Pastor of this ministry/rehab organization) for over a year now. Note that I was raised in the Roman Catholic church, and am now in my mid-50s. Gregg and his wife Pam are two of the most selfless, sincere, compassionate human beings I've ever met. Nspire Outreach - their non-profit organization - helps the homeless and victims of domestic abuse regardless of age, race, gender, or sexual orientation using a truly comprehensive, multi-faceted approach..

Yes - this is a Christian ministry - and there are rules that must be followed by those who are accepted into the program. These include living arrangements and work requirements. In return, many resources are provided to the participants including counseling services and assistance with job training. I can also assure you that - contrary to some other comments here - Gregg and Pam are NOT getting rich off this program. It is the furthest thing from a scam. They do raise much of their operating budget from collections of donated clothing which is then sold at local thrift stores. This of course requires outreach in the form of phone calls to potential donors of clothing and other items. It's simply the nature of the model on which this wonderful organization operates.

Honesty, integrity and commitment to the life principles taught by Jesus Christ are the core values of Nspire and its leadership. Though not a participant in the program, I have personally been attending Sunday worship services here for over a year. I can't adequately express in words how uplifting and enriching this experience has been for me.

Gregg is not bound by any church dogma, and teaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ with his ACTIONS and his words as well as or better than any Catholic priest or other minister of any denomination I have ever encountered. Never in my life have I experienced a more impressive and effective ministry as this. I've also personally spoken with many whose lives have been transformed for the better by Gregg and this God-inspired program.

As with anything worthwhile, it requires a commitment on the part of the participant and a willingness to leave old habits and ways of thinking behind. It is not a cake-walk. But it is also the single most effective program of its type I have ever seen.

July 3, 2020, Inspired called me. I was thinking to myself, how did they get my number. I asked them and she told me that it was in their system. I then told her that I never donated to them, so it is impossible. I asked her are they affiliated with Hope. She said, yes. I told her that I did not want to donate to them because of my experience with Hope the last time. The woman on the line said, Whatever and tried to explain herself then disconnected the call. Again, this is an unprofessional organization. If they treat the people who are donating to them like this, imagine how they are treating the people they are helping. Not a good look. I would rather donate to an organization that appreciates me and not use me. Run, Run!!
(Hope)This organization is very unprofessional. I had a scheduled pick up date and the guy came by my house and everything. I had company over and he said he would be back for whatever reason, I do not know. He never came back to pick up my items. I called, to file a complaint and the lady who I spoke to said, I am sorry about that, would you like to make a donation next month. I told her nope and take me off your DNC list. Reviews on their pages are lies. They say they have a 4.5, but that is not true. Run!

I got a pink bag on my mailbox (which is illegal use, since they are not mailmen) asking for items to donate to shelters. Normally, I would wholeheartedly support this cause, and I was ready to donate. However, at the advice of someone else, I did my research. This company has a history of lying about who they associate with, and breaking the law (see above), and I believe I will take my belongings to a place where I know they will reach the people that this company has promised. With a simple Google search, I found articles like
"Police warn about group seeking clothing donations"
"Attorney General looks into complaints about charity Nspire Outreach"
One article, "Charity Report - NSPIRE Outreach" in particular says " A civil penalty of $45,000 has been imposed against NSPIRE Outreach, a Georgia-based organization also known as Hope House or Hope for Domestic Violence, for soliciting contributions using false or misleading practices.

Specifically, the group has falsely represented that it works with other organizations with which it has no affiliation. Additionally, numerous individuals have filed complaints with the Division of Charitable Solicitations and Gaming because they continued to receive calls requesting donations even after requesting to be removed from the group's call list.

I'm sorry, but I will not support a company like this in any way, and I hope others do their research as well.

My family and I have been donating clothes to this company for a few years now. Back in May 2019, we put a donation on the porch and I received a delivery on the same day as well. The driver mistakingly stole my package off my porch and it was never returned to me. I ve lived in my house over 20 years and have never had a package stolen until that day. I worked with NSPIRE for weeks, roughly 2 months to get the issue resolved just for them to give me the run around. I even went to the donation site to ask them to look through the donated clothes to find my brand new package. After probably 4 weeks of being given the run around ( going to the donation site, calling Nspire, her escalating it to her manager , leaving countless voicemails and sending multiple emails) Nspire says they refuse to refund me without proof of evidence AFTER I showed my package was delivered around the same time my clothing donation was picked up. No longer donating to this company and am embarrased I have been doing these past years.

The thought behind the organization is great. I just don't understand why they have to call my house so often. Case in point, I went through my caller ID and documented the following calls from Nspire: 11:35 am 12/19/15; 12:20 pm 12/21/15; and 1:58 pm 12/22/15.
I am a firm believer in, "If I need you or want to support you, I'll find you." It's sad that I have to feel so annoyed by a company that is meant to help others.

Short Version: Unprofessional, sketchy organization that cold calls multiple times a month. Looking from the reviews, I would think twice when donating here.

Long Version: Received a call today (the 3rd call this month) from this organization and a young lady asked me if i could participate in a clothing drive coming up next week. I told her that i would be out of town and I asked her what address they were coming to and she told me an address that i moved out of years ago. She then insisted on changing my address so that i could make it for the drive and said that i did not need to be at home. I told her no thank you once more and she yelled I thought you were going to donate? So you kept me on the phone this long just to not donate?

After 3 failed attempts of staying clean from drug...

After 3 failed attempts of staying clean from drugs, I was in the stage of beginning to embark on homelessness. Nspire has been much more than I bargained for. They're approach to Recovery is very unique in its vision. Instead of being a program of recovery using the standard 12 Step model, it takes it a step further by being a program of CHANGE or what I like to call RENEWAL. Moreover the vision of Nspire is holistic healing which even in the midst of my demonic addiction, I knew deep down, and have now confirmed for myself that hollistic healing of mind, body, and soul is the most fulfilling and worthwhile way to heal. It's not called Nspire (In spirit) for no reason. The staff bends over backwards to accommodate you to whatever needs you may have. Transportation, food, shelter, and clothing are all provided for you, as well as a daily schedule of activities that caters to inner renewal. There are 2 sets of classes throughout the week, 3 mandatory workouts, Bible study on Saturday and 2 drug/alcohol recovery meetings. The only thing you have to do to suceed is abide by the rules lined up for you, abide by the schedule and work for the clothing donation call center. Working is a way of giving back in order to make it possible for the program to be sustained since we're non profit and go solely off of donations. There is not really anything negative I can say about the execution of the program because of how brilliantly designed it is with an added bonus of being completely free for the first 13 weeks. It has to be the best decision I ever made for myself. I have now recently reached triple digits on the amount of days I have stayed completely clean and sober and I was never really sure that day would ever come. I'm currently experiencing the beauty and magic that is life after being blessed with the opportunity to be in such a warm welcoming enviornment with all the resources I could ever need to heal at my command. I'd like to thank all the staff members and current clients whom have made such a wonderful impact on my life. It has forever changed due to this community!

I used to attend Nspire church services. Always a good message, great music, and awesome pastor. Gregg Kennard has a generous heart and has always worked to help the community. He has a good heart and really cares about people which is why, I feel, the outreach has done so well.

Multiple charity pick ups scheduled, items never picked up. The items would sit outside for a day or two waiting.
We called to inquire when the pick up would occur the individuals we talked to said they didn't know since they did not have a schedule of times or driver locations. Did not act concerned about collection of items or if we donated in the future. We will be donating to other charities in the future.
