Now Education Review

I joined Now Education after my NQT year and was welcomed into the supply world by my consultant, Hash who was so helpful and friendly, making me feel at ease :)
After being on long term supply for the summer term, I went back into class but decided to go back on supply after the year was over.
Of course I called Hash direct as he was so fantastic the first time round, who was yet again so helpful! I have had lots of work and feel so comfortable to share any of my concerns with Hash who is always there to listen.

An awful agency, just like the many others that are out there. Don't be fooled by all the positives you hear and that they advertise, they are never going to tell you the negatives, unlike my review and experience with them.

No matter what you tell them when signing up and what details are discussed about what type of work is required, where you'd like to work, how far you'd like to travel, etc, etc, none of it is taken on board and adhered to.

I was told if I was to receive any work after 8am it would be for schools which are near to me and have easy driving distance, did that happen? No! I was continually given work on the other side of the city to me, which would require at least an hour or so to get to and involved time wasted sat in traffic. They don't think that common sense would be to place people near to where they live so that coming and going is easy. Schools like having people on time not turning up late because the agency has sent someone from one end to another!

I also requested specific type of work whilst with them and none of that was listened to either, I was given work which I told them I didn't want. They would throw any rubbish at you and when things were turned down, rather than accept you don't want that kind of work, they would make a point at how disappointed they were. Obviously they can't bank the money for the agency, also forgetting that candidates use agencies to work flexible hours and days and work as and when they please. Everything goes through one ear and out of the other.

One good thing I can say is that the pay is good, but they tend to use a bribery tactic in order to get people to go to schools that they may not want to go to or they may not want to/be able to work that day. They say thing like I'll pay you this much if you go or I'll increase your rate to this much if you go. Awful way to do things. But you will find that they make many mistakes with pay and you are the one having to chase things up, and it takes a long time for pay matters to be sorted, they aren't quick in doing that!

The consultant that I had was a total tool and complete unprofessional! Hashim or Hash as he likes to be known, has a very rude manner, doesn't listen to anything said to him, has very poor communication skills, doesn't reply to any texts or emails or phone calls, any queries are never responded to. You are always having to do the chasing rather than him.

They don't know how to treat their candidates and seem to forget which side their bread is buttered - without the candidates they wouldn't have an agency or a job! It would be in their interests to listen and adhere to what candidates want.

All of these issues raised in my review had been voiced to Now but obviously fell on deaf ears, as they tended to ignore what was said to them and would prefer to do what they want rather than what you want.

They only get 1 star because I couldn't post this review without selecting something! Have now left them! Avoid at all costs, find some other agency! Bunch of no hoper's wearing cheap Burton suits thinking they are all that when clearly they aren't. Haven't got a clue how to do things or treat people! I have left the agency now. Also funny how some of the Now employees have left ratings for their own place of work.

The other people who review on here shouldn't judge other review's as every person's experience is different. They don't know what a person's situation is and why they have posted that review, every person has a different experience with an agency - no one size fits all!

The important thing for people to remember is why you go into agency work in the first place - it's to work the way you want to work.

***If their are any head teachers, deputy heads or teachers, seeking for an impressive teaching agency, I honestly couldn't highly recommend *Now Education* any more than this.
They have a brilliant cohort of consultants - Hash is brill at what he does and will work around each schools individual needs.
The agency have a team of fantastic teachers as well as teaching assistants who are ready to deliver with passion and dedication (not staff who go in just to get the day over and done with!)
I would highly recommend schools to consider Now Education as their agency for their supply staff needs. I personally know alot of effective and outstanding teachers who have recently signed up with Now Education and are delivering great results in every school they go to. You really will not be disappointed .

I am well experienced in working with children and young people. Have to say that the organisation in Now Education is superb. The staff is very helpful and appreciate when people are working well. These guys are on the ball!! Coming from another agency that couldn t provide me work because they had unreal expectations in regards to references. No cattle trucking around with these, they got all relevant details required and I was in work within two days. They were and still are a breath of fresh air! Very responsive and do their job efficiently!

Richard is incredibly supportive, proactive and calm in his approach and is respected by both clients and the schools we work in.

I registered with Hash at Now back in July and was booked for full time work in September - great very positive start. However on the day I was due to start I was called by the agency to say that the position was now only 3 days a week. Whilst being introduced to everyone at the school the headteacher told them I was here to work two days. Since then I was told I would get appropiate work but didn't get anything offered. Then I agreed to day to day work which never materialised. I was then sent a P45 from them (making their books look good) Luckily I am registered with other agencies and am now back in regular work - no thanks to Now!

I signed up to a few agencies in September 2018, looking for a full time NQT position. It was so exhausting chasing up consultants, a complete waste of my time. I saw an advert online for Now Education, so I decided to contact them and honestly it was the best decision I had ever made.
Returning to work for any mother with a young family is quite unsettling. However, my consultant Hash was so understanding and supportive of my situation. He has helped me secure a NQT position for September in a matter of weeks. I honestly cannot thank him enough.
To any students who are losing hope, I would most definitely recommend Now Education. With outstanding consultants, such as Hash, I can guarantee you will find something before the end of this academic year.

Marissa Wort is brilliant, if you are looking for SEN work then she will always find you the work you want. My other agencies have been disappointing but

This agency is the worst. They have no work. False promise after false promise about potential work or interviews that never happen and cancelling of shifts - all from unreliable consultant HASH who seems to be advertising he got roles online when he really doesn t. If you have no work say so don't lie and waste people's time! They are dreadful at communication - ignore calls and messages and emails. Horrendous experience. Next agency I joined found me work within a week.

I have been working at Now Education for a couple of Months now and my consultant Hash has been extremely welcoming. He is an amazing consultant to work with - giving me regular work in year groups which I am comfortable with and is always available when you need him. Hash has made Now Education an enjoyable agency to work for and I highly recommend working for them.

The consultants are mostly friendly but SOME of them don't reply to phone calls or text message and cancel shifts. They claim they have more work than they actually do.

I've been with Now for just over a year and a half and they've been excellent since day 1. Rich, my consultant, and the rest of the team I have encountered are excellent at finding the right work for your needs. Whether it be day to day, long term or even a mixture of both. They are all very polite and friendly and I would recommend the agency to any teacher looking at doing supply work.

I have been with Now Education for several years. I have found Hash to be polite, organised and keen to get me as much work as possible. If I have been unwell, he has been understanding and not put pressure on me to rush back to work. He's a balanced guy - offers work regularly but does not push you into any school/year group where you don't feel at home. I highly recommend Now Education.

I think that some of these reviews are rather harsh! Remember the more flexible a candidate is, the more likely they are to get work. If you demand that you can only work on a Tuesday in a reception class 2 miles away from where you live, your chances of getting work are quite slim.

There's pros and cons to supply work but I think I'd rather drive across the other side of the city to a school, do a good job and still leave at a decent hour and be able to go home and relax, than have a permanent role, 2 minutes from my house where I have to arrive at 7am and leave at 6pm because I have lots of marking, planning, assessments plus a million other things to do!

I guess what I am trying to say is you can't please everyone ! Don't be put off by the Teacher-Diva comments on here! Give Now a go!

I registered with Now Education back in November absolutely amazed with how quick they found me a job. My consultant is Hash He has been so good to me I don't think I can thank him enough. He always gives me shifts that suite my location and has already found me a long term job in a great school. If he hasn't got anything available he makes sure the other consultants know I am available so they can send me to the available shifts. He definitely goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy and comfortable with where he is sending you.I would definitely recommend this agency to anyone looking for a job.

Before i joined Now Education, it was recommended to me to join a few agencies to guarantee work. However ever since I have joined, i have had a lovely experience and plenty of work and wouldn't even think of joining anywhere else now.

My supply consultant Pam is absolutely amazing. She listened to what I had to say about the kind of work I was after and even now, I know i can ring her with any issues i have. She responds to texts at any point of the day and is always really nice, friendly and approachable.

I have no concerns about getting regular work from them as they always keep me busy. At the same time when I've been ill and needed some time to rest, Pam was lovely and waited patiently until I was ready to work again.

The way they treat me motivates me to work hard and to carry on working for them. I would recommend this agency to everyone who is interested in supply work!

I am constantly given one day TA work despite being a teacher and asking for teaching jobs. I have no doubt they are using my desperation for work as a advantages to sell my profile to schools who are on the hunt for TAs and to also compete with other agencies. Like most agencies out there nothing they say materializes. FYI - I received a rather blunt email during the start of corna virus pandemic urging candidates to stop emailing them about pay "Secondly, as a registered candidate of Now Education, you are not an employee since you are classed as a temporary worker subject to a contract for services rather than a contract of employment. Your contract of employment is held by your payroll provider." spoke volumes!

Now Education is a fantastic recruitment company, who have been flexible and have worked around my family commitments. Very loyal, reliable and always work available which I have really enjoyed. This is my first supply teaching experiences and the only agency I have worked with; I hope to stay with them in the near future. I would definitely recommend Now Education.

I have been with Now since January and was given work pretty much straight away at a very local school. My consultant Rich is very down to earth and helpful. He is proactive in finding suitable placements whether day to day or long-term. He has also been understanding in terms of my availability, and continued to contact me for other opportunities if I felt something was not suitable for me.

I have also had work from Sunita who has offered work at a school very local to me with reasonable pay.

I look to continue working with Now, alongside Rich and Sunita in the coming academic year.

Have done absolutely nothing for me - in 5 months, not a single assignment.

I have no idea how they got so high. Their clients cancel shifts like it's a joke. Have yet to be compensated for failed shifts even though I was 5 mins away from the school. Dreadful agency. Would never recommend them.

Now Education is one of many agencies I had joined, in my experience this agency is far by the most hardworking and dedicated to ensure it delivers the best for its candidates in line of work. I would recommend this agency to all. Lovely friendly and approachable staff. Long and short term roles to suit individuals avaiblity.
My supply consultant is Hash and Pam, both are amazing at their roles and work hard to ensure I always have work. They check in how I am doing and they give feedback on how the schools feel about my performance. I can be rest assured any concerns or worries they are always avaible and will make time for me to discuss and share any issues or just a general chat.
I would definatly recommend to get in touch with either Pam or Hash for work they both are amazing at what they do.

Joined this agency in 2017 along with 3 others. But this one has been the best one. Totally reccomend. Andy is a great consultant who caters to what work schedule suits you, he gets to k ow what schools will suit you best and always keep in mind for potential roles that come along. Bookings in advance are always done for cover work and on call work is great too. Mark is also a super consultant to work with if you get a chance.

With other agencies I found them to not be entirely truthful about roles in school or not paying me and having to spend a lot of time chasing them up.

With NOW no problems at all. A really supportive team of consultants who take care of you and find you work. Never had any issues with them.

I worked with Pam at Now Education for a year, I found her and the agency fantastic, always willing to help and listen to my needs.
I was regularly given work and found all the schools to be enjoyable places to work and would highly recommend them to anyone who was looking for an agency.

Have been with Now Education almost 2 years. When I started doing supply work I joined 4 agencies altogether. Not all as good as they claim to be, but a few are. I started off doing work for all four but have now ended up doing most of my work with Now Education.

The work is well paid and very local to where I live. I am fortunate to be offered work on most days of the week, if not 5.

As for the staff, they're professional, friendly and approachable. Just what you need really.
When I joined up I was assigned with a consultant named Hash. Top lad. Makes all the difference in the world talking to someone who genuinely understands your need to be out there working and not at home twiddling your thumbs, especially when you have bills to pay. Saying that, I'm sure there are other equally good agencies out there with highly committed consultants too, but I've not come across them yet and I don't have any reason to be looking for them either.

If you're looking for work as a supply, I'd recommend you join these guys too. Speak to Hash Ejaz, he'll look after you.

Having Hash as my consultant concluded one thing: I didn't have the need to join any other agency. He is highly professional and maintains great communication and that's only the tip of the iceberg. I'd just like to add, I never leave reviews but am so impressed with the efficiency that he works with, it meant it just had to be done!

I registered with Now Education about a year ago and from my initial meeting, I felt like I was in the right place. I was amazed at how proactive Hash was in getting me started and valued the way he took into consideration the requirements and preferences I had.

Being true to his word, I am offered regular work every week, with most weeks being filled with five days. He has a good measure of all his candidates and the cohort of schools he works with and does a marvellous job matching the two together.

If you are looking to join an agency, I would recommend you consider getting in touch with Hash - going by my personal experience, you'll be in good hands.

In the main ok. Duplicated on one occasion sent home no recompense for time or travel costs. Still waiting for outstanding pay after 4 months. Ignore texts and emails!

I joined Now Ed in January and very quickly was placed in a role and school that met my needs by my consultant Hash who delivers and meets your individual needs. Hash has been nothing short of being absolutely supportive and is definitely one of the best consultants I ve had so far, as I had initially joined a couple of other agencies who I still have not heard back from. I still do not even know who my consultants are from those agencies as no one actually replies back to emails or texts. Whereas with Now Education my consultant Hash was always available with excellent communication skills and ensured he got back to me ASAP.

Now looking forward I have gained a permanent post for September and all thanks to Hash who has been putting my CV out there to all the various schools he has links with and needless to say it is this dedication you need from an agent when you are looking for work!
To anyone looking to join an agency I would highly recommend Now Education, Hash is by far the best consultant you could ask for. Rather than waste your time with agencies who do not even allocate you with an agent and do not bother replying back.

In this academic year, I have found Richard ambassadorial in the teacher placement industry - vis~a~vis his professionalism, politeness and his dependability and dedication to finding appropriate assignments.

He works very hard to earn the goodwill of supply teachers by communicating quickly and delivering work by matching them to suitable allocations and/or forwarding teacher availability to Now Education's other equally impressive consultants; Sunita, Marissa, etc.
