Overall good hotel with great location. Clean rooms, friendly staff. 2 star is for not having AC in rooms. How can you not have AC in rooms in 21 century!!! Opening windows is not an option. The noise from the city is too loud.

Correct hotel and well located in the center but be careful if you come by car because we received a fine of 150 because a good part of the center is prohibited and no information from the hotel on this problem (we stayed 15 minutes to unload the luggage) And then we parked in a public parking lot. No help from the hotel to help us and little responsiveness. Big disappointment because we often use Novotel.

Brilliantly placed right in the centre of Gent, worth the spend, decent breakfast too

On the occasion, best value for money in the city center. We left the hotel and set foot in the wonderful Christmas / Party market.

Spacious, neat rooms allow you to really make this place yours for the duration of visit. Positioned in a great location in the city centre, easy to locate, right in the heart of Gent.
I didn't find it too loud, such a great atmosphere, and clean..
The staff here are really friendly and helpful.
The lobby has wii kinect and computers, and all the info you need including weather forecasts etc. It is child and couple friendly, without everyone stepping on each other's toes.
I can't express how much I enjoyed my stay here. The staff were helpful and friendly.
Breakfast is expensive but good quality, however there are plenty of places for food nearby at cheaper prices too.
I went in July, ended up with a few sore mosquito bites so repellent is a must. All round it's a great value for money hotel. I would absolutely stay here again

We stayed here one night during the Gentse Feesten. Right in the center, very friendly staff, delicious full breakfast and unexpectedly (for us alsthans) an outdoor pool in the courtyard. The only downside is that the corridors and rooms give a somewhat outdated impression. Very clean and comfortable!

Booked hotel with breakfast at check in they said it is not included, how rude

A 4-star hotel with no more than 3 reals. Good breakfast but the other services you expect from a 4 star hotel are missing.

Wonderful hotel in the center of the city of Ghent. Right next to one of unesco monument, lot to restaurants around and one of the best place to stay if you come to visit the city.

Good location, good value for money. Breakfast is expensive, but in the room there is a kettle to have breakfast in the room. The tramway is a stone's throw away. The inner courtyard with swimming pool is very comfortable

Hotel well placed for a visit of the city. The rooms are large and clean ! Only downside, the pillows were not suitable for good nights for my taste ... The staff is very welcoming! Full breakfast and good quality. A repeat without hesitation.

This hotel is in a good location in the center of Ghent. Handy that you can check in 24/24. I arrived very late and also had to leave very early. Apart from the fact that I had a nice room and was kindly received at the reception, I cannot therefore share other experiences.

When I go back to Ghent I would definitely book a room here again.

Good hotel for a couple of days. On the first floor there is a club, so you can hang out in it and not sleep)

Was a very nice stay, kind staff, beautiful view out the window.

Parking lot is very narrow.. you need to drive extremely carefully.

Getting to the hotel was also very problematic, as it seems that you are breaking the law getting there.

We used Waze the second day trying to return to the hotel.. and it tool us through so many streets that we should have not gotten ourselves into!!

Ok hotel. Very loud in the morning. Don't expect to sleep a past 8am as the cleaning staff will be moving down the hall about that time. Incredibly overpriced breakfast (20 euros). Go out and find some pastries down the street for 3 !

A nice hotel in the center of Ghent. The location and view from the brilliant window. There is a huge lobby at the reception. There are comfortable seats, table football and books. The bar is long open, beautifully decorated and with a large selection of drinks. Rich breakfasts, large rooms with a comfortable bed. As for me, everything is a plus, apart from small things - a dryer for exchange, no contact in the bathroom or anywhere near the mirror

Good ubication. The staff very friendly. Full breakfast. Spacious rooms and limoias but very uncomfortable pillows and anodyne decoration. It's worthless in such an attractive city.

Nice modern hotel with underground parking (provided free with family suites).
Room was a little shabby with a fitting missing from wall in toilet, leaving bare patch of plaster and screw holes.
Staff friendly but not efficient - didn't tell us parking was included until we reminded them, didn't give us a token to get car out of garage so one of us had to go and get one from reception.
Very good location tho in the heart of Gent.

Novotel is never bad, but the Gent Centrum starts showing its age and looks a bit older. It does not prevent that its simply perfect location catches up largely this defect for the moment.

Excellent choice for a holiday stay: modern and welcoming structure, in the historic center, also with private parking and restaurant. The room is very comfortable, with all the essential amenities: satellite TV, Wi-Fi, mini bar, kettle, hairdryer. Even the lobby is welcoming, very bright, spacious and with a pleasant surprise: a table football. Positive note for breakfast, with a wide range of sweet and savory, set up in a beautiful room overlooking a very pretty square. Professional and caring staff. Highly recommended.

Clean and simple, nice breakfast buffet and some really nice reasonably priced food and beer. No need to go anywhere else when tired after a long business meeting.

Goede en vriendelijke service, heerlijk ontbijt, leuke bar, lekker gezwommen en kleine maar leuke sauna en stoomcabine. Prachtig gelegen in het historisch centrum van Gent. Weinig parkeerplek in de garage die 16 euro per nacht kost maar genoeg parkeergelegenheid in de buurt. Een echte aanrader dus.

Nice to have a drink at the outdoor swimming pool was a surprise to find it in full center during the Ghent parties!

A nicely situated hotel with very friendly staff.
Rooms are clean but somewhat dated.
The gourmet bar is highly recommended ... tasty snacks and drinks ..... really great.
The breakfast buffet is also recommended ... tasty sandwiches and spreads.
The fresh coffee is in my opinion also a treat ...

Aging badly, poorly soundproofed but meticulous service

Perfectly located, right in the center of it all, the Christmas market was on our doorstep, the downside of that is that is was quite loud, but I didn't mind.

Also there is an excellent private sauna and steam which you can use of you pre-book, they only downside is that they don't seem to advertise it

Too expensive for the quality and the cleanliness of the room (really dirty windows of the room: it is really a pity in front of the cathedral). Good point: the location right in the center of the city.

Great hotel. Nice sauna. Clean room every day. We have not booked breakfast at the hotel, because you have many (cheaper) alternatives within walking distance.

Novotel located in the center of Ghent, right next to the beautiful Stadhal. Very lively place with lots of tourists.
