We've stayed at Novotel around the world, because you know what to expect, and its never lets down. We have stayed at the Novotel in Amsterdam on several occasions , as it is central to the city, airport and Ziggo Dome and Ajax Arena, with superb links to transport, with Rai Station only minutes away from the hotel, giving direct access to trains, metro and trams throughout the city. We would certainly recommend Novotel, and its accommodating friendly staff in Amsterdam.

Friendly staffs and very welcoming. The breakfast is tasty with full of choices, fresh orange juice and also nice coffee. The gym is small with limited equipment but I think it good for warming up. The room very spacey and nice bed. Excellent experience.

We stayed for 2 nights. Small family with pet. Public areas where large the rooms quite small. Fresh food and beautiful view. Quite for a such big hotel and nearly to transportation or walk to town.

Not all of us speak English fluently, especially those who already have enough years and in their day we study other languages.

The hotel room was nice, but the service team were terrible.

I am a member of Accorplus, and have never experienced such terrible service from a Novotel hotel team. Here are some of the things that went wrong.
1. The check-in experience was dismal, only 2 people on duty on Monday afternoon to check in around 8 people. Everyone had to wait ages to be served, even the Accor plus guests, and I waited in queue for just short of 25mins - unacceptable. All the guests waiting to be served were astounded at the poor front desk service - the team seemed very arrogant and weren't at all worried about making everyone wait so long. They seemed young and inexperienced - like teenagers, and were certainly not fit to serve clients checking into the hotel.
2. Once checked-in, I was allocated a room on level 3 that was clearly made up for someone who'd asked for extra beds - the room was full of madeup beds, and practically no other furniture! I had to be asked to be re-allocated to another room, Which finally happened, which meant that I was only settled into a proper room approx. 1 hour after arrival at the hotel -- also unacceptable.
There was a very noticeable absence of any form of management team at this Novotel throughout my stay. They did not make themselves know and the hotel seemed unattended, except for the young team members that I encountered at the front desk team and in the room service team.
3. The room service was shocking, and the way my soup was delivered on the tray was completely unacceptable - I even took photos of the tray when it arrived, it was so bad. Food was slopped all over the tray, and even the serving of orange juice was poorly served (i.e. in a wine glass, which made it only a 150mi serving -- charged at full price this seemed to be a practice specifically done that way to enable overcharging). I sent the orange juice back as the glass was dirty.
4. I left the room at 1pm on Tuesday 18th, and after removing the do-not-disturb tag from the room door, went down to the front reception desk to ask that they contact housekeeping to ensure that the room would be made up in my absence that afternoon. However when I got back in the late evening (around 8pm), the room still hadn't been made up. I asked for it to then be made up for me but the process was really poor, and after accepting clean towels I told them to leave the room as it was (i.e. unserviced).
Overall - a 3 for this level of service is almost overstated. This is certainly not the quality of experience one should receive from a Novotel hotel.

It was a very pleasant stay. The room was clean and quite. The hotel was completely full but not noisy. I spent few hours at the restaurant with some friends and they were very pleased with a food and services.

A great hotel, excellent service, very well located opposite a big park and near to public transport. I always bring my dog who now loves it as well. Its like our temporary home when in Amsterdam. The restaurant is not bad considering the covid restrictions and staff is excellent. I really recommend Novotel City Amsterdam.

Business trip. Nice and modern. The only thing I have to complain about is there are way too few elevators. We had to wait for 5-10 minutes for one to arrive during busy hours. It then stopped on every floor in its way down, so plan ahead.

We recently stayed for 6 days and were really disappointed by this hotel, although the Novotel group seems to have good standards of quality. During dinner a mouse was running around the restaurant area (indoors!) and when pointed this out to the waiters and reception staff they seemed to pay little attention, pointing out that they are doing their best and clean every day but it's not easy to handle the situation!!! They did not even apologise, but rather "showed some understanding"!!! During our return another evening, the main entrance was locked for security reasons, no card mechanism to open it and three employees were sitting at the reception not answering the internal call through the "Reception" external phone or even looking at us at the entrance waving and knocking on the window door. The only reason for the two stars is the generally friendly staff and very clean and tidy rooms.
Overall, considering the vast offer of hotels and rooms in Amsterdam and the price of the Novotel Amsterdam City Hotel, we would never choose it for our stay there.

My room was not clean and the air condition worked poorly. There was constant noise from neighbor room and the walls were not sound proof.
It is one metro to the downtown and the staffs were friendly.

This is not the first time I stay in your group of...

This is not the first time I stay in your group of hotel. However, everytime when I was staying with your group of hotel, no matter it is Novotel, Ibis, Ibis Styles or Pullman, I felt disappointed with the rigid policy. The group of hotel did not provide any flexibility to the guests and which make the guests felt unwelcome. These flexibility includes not only the early check-in, late check-out, rooms special requests and etc. All these requests maybe entertained by the other groups of hotel but never the accor hotel. We certainly will review our possibility to stay with your group again in the future since the experience is not good. Indeed, I love the brand of accor hotels. However, with repeatedly disappointting staying experience, I can't do nothing to adjust my choice.

Hester on reception did a fantastic job despite it...

Hester on reception did a fantastic job despite it being busy at check in. She went above and beyond giving us very helpful advice on travel during our stay and answered any questions we had. Perfect service! The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean within a short walk to the tram spot. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel.

Taken to Amsterdam as a surprise and stayed here. Not aware of price but. It is within short walking distance of Amsterdam RAI station and the Amsterdam RAI Metro; you could walk to Amsterdam centre from here but is a 2-3 miles away.

The rooms were clean and comfortable and there was a handy little shop to pick up any snack provisions and coffee.

The staff also seemed willing to let us check in early but our room wasn't ready - we were offered a slight downgrade (we had a newly renovated room by chance) to an older room which was ready to allow us to check in early, which we declined, but it was nice to have the option.

It was a very bad experience.

It was a very bad experience.
When i checked in, I told them I would like to check out late. And then, they told me that it was available at a reasonable price.( 20)
I also saw them enter my checkout time into their system.
The next day, When I went to check it again, they told me that I have to pay 99 to check out at that time because their rooms were full.
I told them I could not understand and why the prices were different, but they told me that s just our staff's mistake.
I think this should not be happening, and this is impossible. But they tried to do that. The staff who told me about this were also not kindly.
I had to check out as soon as I could.
I will not use this hotel again and will not recommend it.
I still can not understand about this...

Typical Novotel experience. Efficient and we'll kept. Breakfast is fantastic. Dinner menu is limited. Room was comfortable. In the bathroom, the toilet seat was so close to the side wall that it was difficult to sit comfortably. The staff at the front desk were very warm and courteous. It's also just 15 minutes drive from the airport and a short walk away from the train station.

Novotel Amsterdam is a modern, efficient place.
The room service staff and chef went out of their way to accommodate my vegetarian family.
Really appreciate it.

Nice cozy place, rooms are nice but small. I like the bar and restaurant area. Very lively with good food menu available throughout the day. Breakfast buffet is decent. In particular I like the convenience store there with good coffee, pastries and snack collection. Taxis are always available. Not sure how far public transportation is from here as I only used cabs.

The menu in the hotel restaurant offers a small selection.
The breakfast buffet is great with an outstanding offer and very rich

Comfy hotel with the necessary services (bar, restaurant, gym, small sauna). The refurbished room met expectations with two types of heating. They give you 5 EUR every day when you don't require room cleaning.
Ams RAI metro station is 2 mins away.

Very comfy bed, very nice washroom had everything you need, big tv, Bluetooth speaker for you music on you phone. USB charger plugs. The room was hot though, would have been nice to have some air con.

Large rooms comfortable bed. The rug was stained and gross. Friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. Food was okay, but exceptionally slow service even when I was the only person in the restaurant.
