Very good date spot, good for first dates or even anniversaries. It's not very casual, so dress up a little, and be prepared to pay a bit too as the prices are a little up there. Overall a good restaurant.

One of my favorite restaurants in the city. Priced similarly to an Earls, but a much more authentic Alberta experience. Steak tartare is to die for.

Food is always amazing there....and always so busy. Make sure you make reservations before going. Love how they grill the steak on the open fire. The muscle in curry sauce was incredible.

We ate early as there was a flight to catch, and although the tables are pretty close together, there weren't many diners yet, so noise wasn't an issue for us. I did notice the ambient sound level was quite high when the restaurant was fuller as we were leaving. Our waiter was wonderful, making appropriate suggestions, including a risotto option without mushrooms not on the menu. The food was fabulous -- all 4 of us thought so -- and presented artfully. I was a little disappointed with the wine list -- few of the wines were up to the standard of the food. While it was a wonderful meal, it was expensive.

Just finished a Valentine's Day dinner, always an amazing meal when we come, steak cooked perfectly, great cocktails. We will be back again for sure.

This is a first class through and through. The scallops served with chared romaine is to die for!

Remarkably delicious slow roasted chicken! Steaks there are delicious also but I found the chicken to be more filing of the 2 dishes.

Book ahead this place is popular and books up fast on weekends!

First time been here, never go back. We were there to cerebrate our friend's birthday and we brought our own cake. They said they would charge $5 for the cake and we were OK with that. However they charged $5 per person that totally was $50 for group of 10. They said they have to be reimbursed because they can not sell the dessert. $50 dollars for nothing...!!!

This is totally nonsense! No one can guarantee to order the dessert. You can not charge for something you never sell. You earn $5 this time and you will lose the customers for ever.

A dark smoky place with excellent food. We got the shakshuka and bison burger and both were perfect. Will definitely come back to try the mussels and fries

The smell when you walk inside is a delight! You're hungry and salivating before you even get the menus. Food is off the charts!

I had the lamb and it was amazing! Save room for dessert too!!

Don't get me wrong, the place is good, and the food is great. but I went there for my birthday dinner and we were stuck by their (blocked) side door that was very drafty. It was freezing at our table. My wife even put her coat back on, and her mittens. Our waitress didn't seem to mind or care. Now, I know it was busy, but when a few tables cleared out, they could have moved us to a table not so cold, even after I asked, no such luck. Maybe I'll only recommend this place during the warmer months.

I went to the Cattle Baron for my 2016 birthday, and sat next to the fireplace.

Fantastic experience! A special occasion place for our budget, but worth EVERY penny!

My wife and I have a sick child staying at the Alberta Children's Hospital. It has been tough. Fortunately for us NOtaBLE has been a beacon of light. The nurses suggested we eat at NOtaBLe, to treat ourselves and get out of our heads. Matea, our hostess, managed to snag us two last minute seats the bar.

We rocked up in our sweat pants and slippers and no one batted an eye. We felt right at home. Our server Danielle made us feel like the only table in the restaurant. We ordered whatever my partner wanted (and what she was denied by her pregnancy). Everything was wonderful.

After that evening, we went back the next day for lunch and everyone greeted us as friends. We were fortune enough to have Matea serving us this time. It was truly heart warming. So much so in fact that we made another reservation for Thanksgiving brunch. Since we are away from our home and staying at the hospital, NOtaBLE became our surrogate home for the whole family.

Thank you so much, this is an amazing place with amazing people who work here. I can not recommend NOtaBLE enough.

1. No espresso machine, 1 cup of french press is $5
2. Poor ventilation, yes I know it's a bit of a smokehouse- but it was still too smokey
3. Had Eggs Benny and asked for medium poach, runny whites, 3 of us had same issue
4. Poor presentation of food, should do better for $18
5. Lastly, sat in bar area and the floor was greasy. Had sneakers on and was slipping.

Expected so much better for all the hype, guess maybe they aren't what they used to be.

Had a great meal and a great dining experience. Enjoyed the service and the food.

One of my favourite restaurants in Calgary. Excellent food and ambience. Some days the food takes longer than others but it's worth it. Great service.

If you feel like paying 25$ for 4 Scallops come here. Also if you feel like paying 9$ for 1 blue buck beer...

Great restaurant, unique menu. Somewhat noisy but most restaurants are these days.

Top notch! Everything here seems to be somehow related to their cherry wood grill. Even some of the cocktails have a citrus element that interacts with the grill as a part of the recipe. Service was great, and the food was very high quality. Portions are large as compared to most restaurants of this quality.

Found a long black hair in my salad. Also the food was so greasy.

If I had to pick a word to describe NOtaBLE it would be EPIC! Once again the service was epic. We had the bartender for our server and he couldn't have been better. The food, yep, EPIC. The steaks were cooked perfectly. The lobster was perfectly done and a nice twist on the usual lobster tail. Mussels were EPIC! The thai coconut curry broth is always a hit. Ravioli, also EPIC! Cocktails...not to sound repetitive but they were EPIC. The meal, service and atmosphere couldn't have been better. I'd highly recommend you give this place a try.

A little pricey but definitely worth it. Great portions, amazing flavors, great selection of meals. Fries are incredible. Chicken was great, but allowed to cool a bit before it was delivered to the table. Salmon was FANTASTIC. Definitely recommend eating here.

Great service throughout the meal. Delicious choices, expertly prepared, and cooked just right. I had the arctic char, very tasty and not overcooked. My wife had the tenderloin and rock lobster, steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare.

Went for my husbands birthday dinner - called in advance to get a special dessert brought out, they were so accommodating and made great recommendations for food and seating. Staff is so friendly and extremely attentive. Sat at the rotisserie bar and watched the guys in the kitchen do their thing. Very clean (washed their hands repeatedly) and all seemed to be focused on their jobs and working really hard. Overall best restaurant experience I ve had in a long time.

Great atmosphere with nice cozy settings. The servers are polite and welcoming. The food was tasty, however I've tried more delicious dishes at other places for the same price.

Great restaurant through and through. Been here several times for birthday dinners or even just a lunch stop. The food is ALWAYS outstanding and followed by great service. Never had a bad meal or experience at this establishment.

I really like this place. Some of my most enjoyable meals were had here. It can be a bit loud and crowded and the salads have way too much dressing (get it on the side) but it's a great place for a good meal. Save room the cheesecake and get your own because it's really too good to share.

I was at Nobables on December 17th, for lunch. I order the pea soup which a thin soup layered with greace. I ordered a chicken main with greek salad and it was very nice. For dessert I ordered the carrot cake; The plate came with two egg poacher looking displays one with carrot cake and the othe with a mystery ingredience. Not sure if it was suppose to be watered down ice cream or watered down cream cheese, it was not fit for human consumption. My experience was disappointing I have been to notable on serval occasion and it seems the standards are going down

The food here is awesome. We've gone here a few times for family gatherings. Staff is friendly and professional. Atmosphere is a little loud, hard to have a conversation across the table. Food takes awhile to arrive- which can be good but in our case with small kids we could have taken it sooner.

Hidden jem! The service is on point, the wine list extensive. I like the open concept kitchen so I can see the food being made. Cozy and although always a busy place the staff make you feel like you are the only one there.

Food was ok. However they should upgrade their range hood. The entire restaurant was full of smoke. I could smell the smoke in my hair after I left the restaurant.

We really enjoyed the food and drinks at NOtaBLE. The ambiance was comfortable and not as loud as other places. Not quite as good as Fergus & Bix but it's close.

We had a delicious meal at Notable after receiving a gift certificate. I had the Bison, and it was cooked to perfection. Only complaint was that it was quite loud - maybe not the place to pick for a romantic night out. But we'll still definitely be back for more delicious, relaxed meals with friends!

Really decent food though I'm not sure the prices match. Servers were friendly with a bit of wait for food - an hour between appies and entree. It was difficult finding parking in the area on a Friday night. I wouldn't go running back but it's worth checking out if you're in the area. Be sure to make a reservation.

Fantastic local food in a beautiful park. Seasonal selections are always prepared to perfection. The wine list is unique and carefully crafted. The venue feels exceptionally rustic while also well-cared for. Downsides: The price tag is hefty, and anyone with mobility issues may find it difficult as a short (couple hundred metres) walk is required to get to the restaurant.

Without a doubt the best food and service I've had at a Calgary restaurant in years. I had the ribeye steak and my wife had a rotisserie pork dish. I can definitively say that the steak was better than ones I've had for double the price. My wife loved the pork dish as well. My compliments to the chef. I would highly recommend Notable to anyone looking for world-class restaurant in Calgary.

I had very high expectations for the meal and I really don't know what to say, except, it was .... OK.

Great food and excellent service. With everything happening in the Pandemic, it is refreshing to see excellent restaurants like NOtaBLE take extra care to enhance the fantastic menu while making guests welcome with excellent service

Celebrated mom's 83rd birthday. The service was impeccable, and the dishes over the top delicious. Great wine list too!

Our first experience was excellent and our second, was Exceptional! We were fortunate to have the same waiter on both occasions and we followed his recommendations both times . I read some of the not-so-positive reviews here; and I was wondering if the people allowed their server to direct their choices . On both occasions, the waiter took the time to find out our likes and dislikes and then explain the ingredients of some of his recommendations and so both times we had an amazing dining experience right from the appetizer to the cognac . And the Stilton is worthy of all the hype!!!! Eat here and bring your credit card!!

This place just seems to have an ambiance and atmosphere that keeps me coming back. Great food, i always end up ordering the mussels, its my favorite dish there. They do a cool spin on a ceasar salad (i had it 2 or 3 times ago so i hope they still have it).
Main dishes are roughly in keeping with other fine dining restaurants in Calgary price wise (or slightly lower) and all that i have tried have been outstanding with good portion sizes.
Heated parking underground for restaurant patrons (garage door is around the back in the alley - you have to pull up really close to get it to open).
I highly recommend it. Owned and run (i believe) by a Calgary chef - lets give the local family gents our support!

Tried their vodka lavender lemonade. Was nice and refreshing and not too sweet. Started with the crispy potato rolls- have them ever time- they are so good. Went with the rotisserie chicken this time. Big portion(half a chicken) with mashed potato and other veggies.chicken was nice and moist and flavorful.the brown butter sauce was delish. We tried the olive oil cake with balsamic ice cream and strawberries- half the table liked it and the other half weren't too sure. A very different taste for dessert, but glad we tried it. Our server was super friendly and helpful with offering suggestions on wine, other beverages, starters(we added three potato rolls- so we could all have two), and the mains! Would go back again for sure!

This used to be a favorite restaurant but todays visit was very dissapointing. The portions were small, presentation poor and flavour nondescript . will take this off my list of places to go.

This restaurant had amazing service (we sat at the bar near the fire), knowledgeable servers, beautiful presentation and the food was brilliant. And that final point is what separates this restaurant from all the others that also have beautiful decor and lovely staff; the food is out of this world, "tell all your chef friends" kind of good.

Love coming here! The food is always amazing and they are very accommodating with allergies! The restaurant has a really nice atmosphere and that staff are all so nice!

Went for a girlfriend's birthday lunch. I ordered the chorizo skillet. Not what you usually expect. The potatoes were cold and by themselves. Two eggs were placed beside a small sausage. Usually a skillet is all mixed together. Did not taste fresh and was extremely over priced. I was very disappointed as I heard a lot of good things about the food. I will never return.
