2nd time there and again VERY underwhelming
$80 for a steak I could have anywhere in the city
$24 for a glass of scotch
Give me a break ... I'm pretty sure this is Montgomery not Manhattan!
Way too much money for an (at best) above average meal.

Best lunch in a very long time! Simple food done perfectly.

Great place for really high quality dishes. We've been multiple times for family get-togethers, corporate events, date nights etc, and its always consistently good. Had the seared tuna sandwich today and it was pretty spot on. The stonefruit cobbler with strawberry ice cream was also really good - it felt like the dessert was really well designed in terms of complimentary flavours and not just a fruit crisp with standard vanilla ice cream. Will be going back this week for some take-away chicken.

Although the ambiance and service was great. The food was highly overpriced for the quality. We ordered several starters. We had grilled bread, it was very mediocre not to mention it was $10 and believed the bread is from Safeway. Additional, hummus was very bland and the portion was beyond tiny and not worth $5 at all.
We also the had calamari which was extremely salty, we got the the waiter to do less salt which at that point had no seasoning and tasted like just deep fried food. We had the beef tartar which was quite delicious along with the tuna tartar.

Perhaps the main dishes are much better than the sides however we found the prices quite steep for the quality.
Basically you are paying for the decor and not the food.

Truly a top quality experience, service was excellent, and for the quality of food, it was served fairly fast for how busy this place was. Pictured is AAA tenderloin with Parmesan gnocchi, with peas and green beans. This steak was an amazing experience. So many flavours in this plate it is hard to describe. The steak was cooked to perfection, and was so tender could pull it apart with my fork. Super fresh and flavourful ingredients, every bite was delightful! Would recommend to everyone, and I hope I can go back soon!

Cocktails are amazing. Food is amazing. You can grab a seat and watch the kitchen and drool over their fire pitty goodness.

Had a very good time here I had the 12oz steak special and it was amazing the sauce with it made very juicy. Then the chocolate pudding was again the best!

Had the rotisserie half chicken, done to perfection. Side vegetables and cries were excellent as well, definitely coming back.

Two stars for the languid attempt at a quality eatery. Having eaten at NOtabLE on four separate occasions, each sequentially more lacklustre than the previous, it seems this restaurant is failing to recognize and address it's shortcomings.

One the first three occasions, my colleagues and I marinated in a smoky burnt chicken fat atmosphere while I left confused as to how my $100+ meal left me feeling unsatisfied.
In my last dining experience, with a large group and a total bill of $900 - some of the dishes arrived cold, we endured extended periods without our server checking experience quality and a general attitude from our server which was that we were "second best". Little to no effort toward a positive dining service exhibited by our server, it seemed we should be considered lucky to be a customer of this group.

Upon receiving the bill, there were numerous mistakes, including a $125 overcharge which was simply brushed off as a simple clerical error. Had we not caught this overcharge and questioned the integrity of their billing process, I'm certain we would've paid the total without second guessing. NOtabLE's policy of an 18% addition to the final invoice to large groups, we felt that the service did not warrant such a gratuity, yet were required to pay it regardless of our reflections of service quality.



There are many other highly rated establishments who take customer service seriously - NOtabLE isn't one of them.

The food was delicious but I felt it was a bit overpriced (maybe I'm just cheap). It took a long time to get anyone to the table when we got there just to get some water but after that it wasn't too bad. After the food was delivered it was about 20 minutes before the waitress came back to see how everything was - my friend needed a steak knife to cut his steak so at that point he hadn't even tried his food. Then, the kicker, when we got our bill we were charged for water. It's 30 cents for every refill of water. If I had know the water carried a charge I would have ordered something tastier! Or at least be told of the charge prior to ordering. Overall, while the food was good, it wasn't worth it.

Fantastic food and a wonderful atmosphere. I live the design of the restaurant.

A great place to dine with friends in Bowness I didn't try the desert do I couldn't rate 5 star as yet!

Professional, thoughtful service, delicious food with large portions and fair prices, warm and inviting atmosphere. Busy on a Tuesday night!

Really great place to have dinner, great staff and location.
Only the problem is of Parking, roadside parking is really limited.

Awesome food as always. Started the family get together with a cocktail, the Passionfruit Milkshake. Light and refreshing and definitely not milky or heavy, great start to the dinner. Opted for fish this evening the the halibut did not disappoint. Came with gnocchi, not the best gnocchi I have ever had but not the worst either. The tomato relish on top of the fish is to die for. Really wanted to finish the meal with a summer fruit dessert but I suppose it is not peach season yet. Would love to see the peach tartine back on the menu. Noise has always been an issue with this location, definitely not for those looking for an intimate dinner as you can barely hear each other across the table.

Always great service over the years. Food is amazing and wine is somehow just as perfect!!

They cook the best steak in Calgary, I wish if I could come again.

One of my favorite places in Calgary. Food and service are top notch. Highly recommend.

I was here before when they first opened and I must say the service, food quality and preparation have improved tremendously. It is hard to go wrong with anything on the menu now. The one drawback is parking. The spaces underneath are cramped and there is very little parking on street.

NOtaBLE is by far my wife's & my favorite date spot. The food is always delicious, the portions are perfect and the service has always been great. We have brought out family from out of town, out of province and on a few occasions, out of country here and have never been let down. Each time we walk up, we joke about how we should buy a home in the immediate are JUST so we can smell the fresh cooked chickens on our way home from work. Can't wait to go back again for our third-in-a-row anniversary dinner!

Had the breakfast pizza from the brunch menu and was extremely happy with it. Very tasty and good size. The brunch menu is good value for what you get.

Super tasty food and drink, really nice inside. If shortly before arriving you feel like you have driven into the roughest neighbourhood in Calgary you re in the right place. Has a handy cannabis shop over the road.

Just finished a great valentines dinner. Food was very good and great service. Something you don t often get on one of the busiest nights of the year.

My friends and I ate here before leaving from attending a convention that was in Calgary for may long weekend. The food was perfect, some of the best we have ever have had at a restaurant. Our server was a kind gentlemen named Liam. He helped with every question we had about the menu, always made sure our beverages were filled and more. My friends and I wanted to get a picture by the beautifully painted wall they have and Liam kindly offered to take the picture for us even though he had very little experience with photography. It was a very lovely time and a fantastic end to our time in Calgary

We have been here many times over the last few years, and I have loved everything. the service is amazing, and I really like the low key, but nice atmosphere.

I've purchased/picked up roast chicken from them a number of times; it's the best in Calgary.

Excellent overall experience at Notable do a family Father's Day supper. Table service was outstanding with attentive and unobtrusive service. Good good choices for all ages as the kids and grandparents all enjoyed the meal. The appetizers (flatbread, steak tartare, shrimp & grits and mussels) were all tasty and consumed very quickly. Entrees (Happy Chicken, Lamb, Flat iron Steak, Porchetta, Surf n Turf and Duck Breast) were generally good. Only minor complaints were that the duck breast was slightly overcooked and the lobster tail for the SnT was very small.

Only hiccup was with the reservation as the Open Table reservation didn't seem to be in their system. However a host interceded and set up a table in short order resolving a potentially uncomfortable interaction with the greeter/reservation prime. The odd part was that we were called by the restaurant two days prior to confirm our reservation.

Would definitely recommend as a great place for both family and for more intimate occasions. Especially for Northwest YYC which does lack this type of fine dining.

Went for our anniversary, everything we had was great. Would highly recommend for a regular night out or something fancier.

Everything is always wonderful when I come to eat here, however, there is a lack of creativity with the menu. Kind of makes this a regular chicken, potatoes and broccoli place.

First visit. Went for a business lunch. The food was amazing! Each bite was a tasty delight. Staff were polite. Will go back again.

I have been here 4 years ago for dinner and I loved it. Today I was excited to try out their lunch but can't say I was impressed. Everything seemed over seasoning here and salty. The rotisserie chicken salad was so over dressed and salty that I don't feel healthy at all afterwards. The chicken was nice but all the other ingredients were also very salty in the salad. Doesn't seem thoughts have been put in in terms of balancing the flavors here. Not very impressed for the brunch here. Service was friendly but a bit slow.

One of my main spots to grab something to eat. awesome location, clean, and fantastic service. A must try!

Delicious food. Great atmosphere, seating is a bit crowded, but not too cramped. Wonderful date. A bit expensive, maybe more than it is good, but still great. Book ahead, it's usually busy.

Always love coming here. Funny location but great looking place great service and food is always excellent and won't break the bank like other upscale places (granted I never order alcohol). Highly recommend for any occasion!

Was a great experience but because of the way the decoration worked out, it was quite noisy in the evening, Not a great place for an intimate chat. The bartenders know good wine pairings, although I do enjoy wines from France, and Italy,... where as they had mostly BC wine. Supporting the Canadian market is not terrible.

The food is excellent and reasonably priced. This is a place to awww anyone with a culinary experience. Chef Michael has done a great job with this restaurant!

Went to NOtaBLE for my Birthday, our server Ron was personable, attentive and thankful we celebrated an occasion at their restaurant. Food is well priced and delicious, portions are filling. I also appreciate that some meals offer a half portion this allows you to have a appy, entree and dessert.

Fabulous restaurant. Staff are knowledgeable and take their time to make it an enjoyable dining experience.

Went to NOtaBLE for a work party so we were in the private room in the back. Stellar service and unbelievably good food.

We ate early as there was a flight to catch, and although the tables are pretty close together, there weren't many diners yet, so noise wasn't an issue for us. I did notice the ambient sound level was quite high when the restaurant was fuller as we were leaving. Our waiter was wonderful, making appropriate suggestions, including a risotto option without mushrooms not on the menu. The food was fabulous -- all 4 of us thought so -- and presented artfully. I was a little disappointed with the wine list -- few of the wines were up to the standard of the food. While it was a wonderful meal, it was expensive.

NOtaBLE is one of the better places to go in Calgary, I assure you, it's worth the wait. But keep in mind that you're paying for good food.

Excellent food and wine with great service. Atmosphere was a little to loud and busy for me to enjoy a conversation with the other side of our table but overall it was good.

Had a great time celebrating my friend s birthday. The tenderloin was cooked to perfection, I was very satisfied. One of us had ordered prime rib and it looked fantastic. Would recommend trying their chocolate pudding cake with salted caramel ice cream for dessert.

Nice restaurant and food was tasty. Liked that food was safe for me as a celiac. Only down side is it that there is a strong wood fire smell to the place and a bit smoky from it so if this is something that bothers you then probably not the place for you.

Good atmosphere and the service was fantastic - unfortunately 3 stars is the most I can give as my meal was a little less than stellar - the pork chop was extremely fatty and inedible.

Everything else I had was fantastic so this is most likely just a one off / unique circumstance

Very nice prime rib special but restaurant was busy as usual at 8pm on a Friday. Patio was noisy due to Bowness Rd traffic

This place is very loud. The sound bounces off everything and becomes an awful noise. They need to figure out some sound baffles. The food is alright but I can get a steak just as good at the keg for a fraction of the price, and I can have a conversation.
