Northwest Vision Center Review

My son plays soccer and the other kids with glasses always have problems with their glasses fogging up or breaking. I showed the parents my son s Nano glasses and they were in awe. Their doctors either didn t stock them or weren t aware of the silicone hinges of Nanos. They helped my son see better and play safer on the field. They are great for 3rd graders who are tough on glasses but still want to be stylish.
The doctors and staff are always smiling and seem happy to be at work. Their laughter is contagious and it helps put the whole family in a good mood. My kids never complain about visiting Rich or Dr. Sims. The office is quick and efficient. Always on time for our scheduled visits. We thank them for having flexible hours too!

During this time of concern about how to protect yourself against COVID-19 and still be able to do things that involve close human interaction, it comforting to see the steps Northwest Vision has taken to keep it patients safe. Ensuring everyone is wearing a mask, screening patients as they arrive, sanitizing equipment before each use and scheduling appointments so that you quickly move from check-in to the exam to checkout are examples of those safety steps. Northwest Vision has always been very professional, friendly, and advanced in caring for your eyes and now, during a pandemic, they are doing the same for your overall health as well.

Everyone was so attentive and knowledgeable here! The optometrist gave me more time than any other doctor I've met with. She repeatedly asked me if I had any questions, explained everything thuroughly, and took the time to make sure I was on board with everything. I just wish they had more glasses that were completely covered with insurance. They're selection was very stylish though!

It had been a couple years since I'd been in the office. The staff was very friendly and I even got to sit in a MASSAGE CHAIR as I waited for my eyes to dilate.

The customer service is amazing from the moment you walk in the door. The front desk welcomes you with a warm hello and checks you in offering coffee, tea or water. After your checked in, you will have someone come look at glasses with you and help you find something you love in your budget range. Dr. Min has been my doctor for years and he is amazing. I drive from canal winchester just to see him!

Best eye docs in the city. Have gone to see them for over 10 years. Then changed jobs and had different eye insurance. Tried a few other places but none compare to Northwest Vision. Regardless of my insurance, I will never go anywhere else again. All of the employees here are so kind, caring and passionate people that make your visit relaxing and enjoyable. Highly recommend this team.

Dr. Sims and the staff are great! We had our 1 1/2 year old get his first eye exam and they were so good with him and took the time to do a thorough exam. Very pleased.

Dr. Min has been my eye doctor for over 22 years. He s always been very professional and courteous. His staff is friendly and quite pleasant.

I had bad experience with the opticians there .. i am still waiting for my glasses for 5 WEEKS and everytime i call they say we will call u back and they don't.
But I'm not gonna lie i like dr Min there

We have been with Dr. Min since Cranston Dr. location and have had a great experience and even better eye care. Dr. MIn caught a problem that required me to have some minor surgery which the surgeon said most physicians would have not noticed. I would strongly recommend NW Vision.

Always a positive experience at Northwest Vision. We are a family of 5 who have all been patients of Dr. Min for years and the Dr. and Staff are have always provided for a efficient and pleasant visit.

I was having eye issues and was sent to a neuro opthamologist and waited 4 months to get in. After still having issues I mentioned to NW Vision that I wanted to make sure Dr Min had gotten a report from the specialist. They had me come in and see Dr Sims since she specialized in binocular vision and in just a week I saw her, had comprehensive tests and she took her time with me performing testing to determine my double vision problem. Very friendly, professional, patient as is the rest of the staff. I started going to that office when I moved from my hometown and was referred to Dr Min by my former eye doctor in Toledo. Dr Min is also friendly, professional and patient and I highly recommend both of these doctors. They have state of the art equipment and I like that this means they don't have to dilate my eyes for exams since they provide this equipment that eliminates that step. Great selection of eyewear if you wear glasses.

I had my annual eye exam with Dr. Sims yesterday. From the receptionist to Dr. Sims, everyone was thoroughly professional. They seemed to also have state-of-the-art equipment for the various tests that are part of the eye exam. Dr. Sims clearly discussed with me about the eye images and was patient enough to answer questions I had. Unlike some of the other practices I have been to before, there was absolutely no pressure whatsoever, for me to place an order with them for a new pair of glasses with my changed prescription. I had also stopped by this place a few days back, to see if they can fix up my son's broken frame and they gladly gave it a shot without charging me anything. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone with eye care needs.

UPDATE ON 09-APR-2018 - Because of a good experience last year, both my son and I went back to them for our annual eye exams, this time with Dr. Min. The Eye exam was again professionally done. We ended up doing a contact lens evaluation for my son. Although I had clearly asked the eye specialist to go over my VSP coverage and ensure that the evaluation would be covered completely, it seems like he missed something. After more than a month, I got a billing statement asking us to pay $60 (patient responsibility). This took me by surprise and I would have expected the specialist to have done the number crunching when I had insisted on it before agreeing for the evaluation. I am disappointed and may have to look for a different practice to go to next year.

Really enjoyed this place! Dr. Min was very detailed in his descriptions about what was going on with my eyes. It was the first time I had seen a close up photo of my eyeballs! Pretty cool. Will definitely make another appointment here.

A few years ago I found Northwest Vision through a random internet search and I can't say enough good things about them. I have very "difficult" eyes and with the help of Drs Min and Sims along with Sue Cross I was fitted with new contact lenses and can see the best I have in literally years. The staff here is wonderful - from Hope manning the front desk to Rich and Linda helping me with glasses. Well worth the time!

Love Dr. Min! He always explains everything without needing to be asked, and he's never running late - if you make a 2pm appointment, you'll actually get called back for your exam at 2pm, which makes scheduling during work hours very convenient. Also have great selection of frames. Highly recommended!

I just went for my first eye exam at Northwest Vision Center, and I am impressed! I felt cared for, understood, and valued as a patient. All staff were kind and competent, and Dr. Min was very thorough as he asked me questions, looked over my eye maps with me, and helped me to understand what I needed to know in order to make informed decisions about my care. I'm really happy with the decision I made to become a patient here!

After a negative experience with the first eye doctor I visited it Columbus, I was apprehensive to visit an eye doctor all together; I had not had my yearly eye exam in 2-3 years and at baseline have very poor vision.
The staff at Northwest Vision made me feel so comfortable; Dr. Sims was personable, knowledgeable and kind. She answered the endless questions I had about my vision: from explaining the minute details of my retinal mapping to talking through my options for corrective surgery in the future and everything in between. I would highly recommend this vision center and will for sure be a patient for years to come.

Getting a last minute appointment has never been an issue, appointments have always been on time and there is seldom any paperwork to complete. The staff handles everything for you and with your insurance.There has never been any kind of pressure to purchase from this office and they have always worked with me to maximize my insurance benefits. They will even fax you your doctor excuse when you forget to get it in the office.

I can't say enough good things about Northwest Vision Center! When I moved to Columbus two years ago I was worried about finding an eye doctor and then I found Dr. Sims. Her and the rest of the staff at Northwest Vision make eye exams a breeze. I always feel like I am in the very best hands there. I would definitely recommend Dr. Sims and Northwest Vision!!!

I really do enjoy this place. I feel like they are up to date on the newest technology when it comes to taking care of your eyes. They have a pretty broad schedule for when you can be scene and and even broader schedule for you to talk to the opticians. If I'm early for my appointment they are usually able to get me back and processed early as well. I don't think I've ever had to wait later than my actual appointment time which is important to me. The only negative I can say, which is understandable, is that they are always selling. They don't miss a beat to try to get you to buy something when you're there. It's slightly annoying because I go for an exam, not necessarily to buy something. But I know that the eye care world is somewhat a monopoly so they are trying to get any piece they can.

First time for eye exam at 47 years old. Everyone made me feel very comfortable.
Dr. Spares no expense on technology and equipment to do a thorough exam and does a great job explaining conditions and options.
Prices for glasses was an unpleasant surprise but I suppose that will be the case no matter where you go.

We've been seeing Dr. Min for years. We started seeing him in Chillicothe, but when he decided to not come south and only keep hours in his office an hour north, we started making the trip because he is that good. The entire staff is very friendly, we can't recommend them enough. The kids even like going to see them!

The staff are both professional and friendly. They take care to make my family (including my young daughter) feel comfortable and educated about our eye health. They don t have high pressure sales for optional services.

Been going here for years. Dr. Sims is fantastic. She is so nice and I really love her. I ve met with Dr. Min once because I popped a blood vessel while on a roller coaster ride and he was fantastic as well! Majorly disappointed! My husband called this office as a new patient and told them he needed safety glasses. They told him that he can come for an appointment. On the new patient information form, he specifically put down safety glasses. Doctor also acknowledged that he was there for safety glasses. During the eye exam, the technician insisted (three times) that he got a comprehensive exam including a retinal imaging (which led to an $40 out of pocket cost) despite him telling her that he had an ophthalmology exam a few months ago and will have another one in a month. Anyway, after the eye exam and paying the extra exam cost, they told him that they don t have safety glasses there. He must find a different place to buy the glasses. Wow, what a dishonest business practice!!!

Dr. Sims, Sue, and Rich are always wonderful and professional, and Hope at the front desk is helpful and welcoming. (All other staff members I've met over the years have been excellent as well). In addition to the top notch staff, the office is clean and well-maintained, they get patients in and out in a timely manner, and have a great selection of glasses and sunglasses in a variety of price ranges. Northwest Vision Center also offers the latest technology to help best monitor the overall health of your eyes.
