The service is horrible!! Starting from their night auditor who continued to state that it is "not my problem" every time we stated our concerns. We addressed the problem to Mazie, the Assistant General Manager, and she was just as bad, if not worse.
Avoid staying here at all costs!!
At my recent stay at the Comfort Inn Toronto North, my family and I had only needed to stay 1 night. I had booked 2 rooms ( 1 queen, 2 double beds) for the night online. On the website it said and let me use the pay option of Debit(Visa). When we got to the hotel the lady at the desk said I could not pay with debit Visa (even tho their website stated differently). She eventually said I could pay wi the that method and said we would have a deposit for the rooms. My Brother paid for one room and had to pay $150 deposit (which would not be released for 3-7 days on their credit catd) on top of the room cost and my deposit was just under $180. The entire checkin process was a headache and not helped with a good attitude from the desk clerk, she was rude and seemed very annoyed by our concerns. Once we got the rooms my Brothers room was very dirty, stains, stuff in the toilet etc. He was moved to another room. My room was up to standard, nothing special but clean. After settling in for a few mins we regrouped to go for dinner and my brother informs me that the manager came knocking on their door and accused them of smoking in the room. (All of us are none smokers) after bejng told no one smokes the manager still gave attitude and said she could smell smoke in the room(standing at the door). When my brother again confirmed no one was smoking and told her he was also no happy with the service he had been receiving since we arrived and her comment was "My staff is not rude". Needless to say... we won't be staying at this hotel again. It was not welcoming, the high deposit is WAY too much for a one nights stay and the staff was rude and accusing. If we hadn't already paid we would have left for another hotel.

Excellent place to stay with family. We came for a weekend. Rates were the best around. Rooms were very quite nice looking. It looks like they just renovated this place.
Overall, not a bad stay. My wife and I were in town for Anime North as well as a visit to Canada's Wonderland. Being right off the 400 did make things really easy to get around but outside of that? It's a little overpriced for what you get.
The wifi works pretty well and we didn't have much problems getting access to it with a decent signal. That said, the night auditor who was on duty when we checked in was less than helpful.
The carpet in the halls and rooms definitely need some work and the breakfast doesn't have a ton of offerings, but I guess is passable. However, housekeeping was definitely on the ball with fresh bedding, towels and cups every morning.
Overall, I'd say stay somewhere else if you can get a decent price...if you're just looking for convenience and a place to sleep? It's not bad...
Terrible place to stay. First room they put me in was dirty with long black hair on the floor in the tub and in the bed. I made them move me and that room had cracks in the ceiling and paint chipping off but I stayed anyway I was so tried. Then after I had specifically requested a room with a good fridge so I could save my sons left over dinner since he had been in hospital for 3 weeks and couldn't eat much, when I got up the freezer was defrosted and water was all over his food. They gave me a measly 10% discount to try and make me happy and I told them to go shove their room. Staff was not helpful and even rude and no manager was on duty for me to talk to. Utter waste of my time and I would never stay there again. This has probably put me off of ever staying at s comfort inn again. Don't ever go here you will be dissatisfied!!!!

You get what you paid for. Interior need renovating. They don t have an elevator. Sound proofing is really poor. But if you are really on a budget, worth trying it out. Or just go to the BestWestern next door. I made a mistake when chose this....

The location is a bit removed from Toronto, need a car to go anywhere. The internet worked without problems, the check in was fast, the breakfast is quite simple but yummy, the hotel is under construction. The bathroom is a bit old but well cleaned. There is no mini-fridge.
This location is terrible. It is a party room / drug den and safe house for criminals of all kinds due to its very close proximity to a police station which helps prevent large scale drug deals from going wrong, while staff does nothing to enforce any of the norms one would expect at a proper place of business. The smell of pot is always very fresh and thugs roam the halls like guards. Pizza delivery refused to exit their vehicle for fear of being robbed and all night parties with music blasting are left to continue without any real attempt at intervention by staff.
We stayed at this location twice for a total of several nights in 3 different rooms. Both times we found the same night staff to be very unfriendly and rude. It is filthy and two rooms had burn marks from cigarettes and what looks like small pop bottle meth lab explosions, which helps to explain why the toilet seats have burns.
Even the side of the television had been melted by incent sticks which could also be found stuck into the corners of the mirrors and other furniture to cover what must have at one time been a very big smell for such a small room.
Some rooms have a fridge and microwave while others don't so it's an exciting surprise to see what you're going to find.
One night was spent listening to an artist by the name of "50 cents" and free style rap battles from the parking lot and room and next door until it turned into a real battle when someone's narcotics apparently went missing. Which I believe was taken by the prostitutes who spent several minutes rummaging a bag in the hallway outside my door until they found a ziplock and ran away in hysterical laughter which I could barely over hear due to the nearly non stop moans, crying and wails of emotional agony coming from the couple in the room across the hall.
I highly recommend women and families stay away. Complaints from normal public will not be heard because the low life's, teenagers, and criminal element will always be happy to rent their rooms.

Its price and because I only wanted to take a shower and lay down for a few hours.
The front desk employee at the night shift at 5:00 am in August, 11th, 2019 is so unrespected, agressive
He insulted me, and my friend called the customer service to apply a complaint, they told him that they will investigate in this and they did nothing.
The room was a good size and clean. The breakfast offered had a good selection of items.
All the positive comments are obviously from the owners and staff because this is the worst hotel ever the cleaning staff are NOSEY very nosey! LOUD and RUDE they demand tips!!! Hotel front desk staff are thieves this place is A MESS ! Construction been going on for soooooo long!! You have construction workers walking in on you laying on your bed saying they thought the room was empty so disrespectful. The rooms are small dirty and ran down they don't even clean the cups and glasses the heaters are like a 1995 heater it's unpleasant my husband and I are never coming back ! I wish there a way to give 0 stars!
The people who work at the reception are absolutely not qualified to deal with costumers , they rather make the process tedious and awkward for you than to actually work out a deal, they just don't care about costumers or whether or not you are satisfied with the service, awful.

I have never experienced worse service from a hotel before this encounter. The breakfast was lacking variety, eggs were overcooked and not refilled for the buffet. Ivan the clerk was condescending when asked for an invoice and absolutely not helpful. Shower was moldy and should be cleaned, how they pass a health inspection is definitely suspect.
Can not say I will stay here again my next trip into Toronto. Location was fine. Staff was friendly. Room was super disappointing. And for $160 a night I expect more. There were Cheerios in the air conditioner. The breakfast was subpar at best. The cable went out and didn't come back up for over 2 hours. Had Wi-Fi issues. Was in from Alberta and first time in the area and the staff was not over helpful with suggestions for places to eat or visit. Disappointing for sure.
Went to Toronto for a concert and stayed 3 nights . We picked this hotel for the price. We made the reservation for 4 nights because we arrived at 7am and wanted to get into our room as soon as we arrived. Shuttle service is friendly and swift as were the staff on the Front Desk. Polite and smiling and friendly. The beds and pillows super comfortable. Location is great. Our complaints...
The elevator didn't work much of the time there. Thank God we were only on 5th floor and not like another guest who was on the 12th floor. He came down cursing and swearing at the gentleman on the Front Desk and cudos to him for putting the guest in his place and not to allow the verbal abuse on him and other staff.
We kept the Do Not Disturb on the door because we didn't require housekeeping for that short period of time. Well we went into Toronto on Sunday afternoon and when we walked back up to our room...our door was open. Our do not disturb sign had been moved to behind our door and there was no one in sight with all of our belongings easily accessible to someone walking past. Luckily nothing was missing. Wasn't very happy and called the front desk to see why this was happening. Of course she had no idea, but apologized.
So the worst thing about the trip is the fact that we found a bed bug on the last morning. We took pictures on my husband's phone and showed the Front Desk. He was very apologetic and asked for our phone number. We haven't heard from anyone yet but it hasn't been 24 hours.
Other little things like dirty halls and our hairdryer didnt work. The remote on our tv had a mind of its own and would work half the time.
It's too bad because I would've recommended this hotel,but someone going into our room and leaving the door open and the bed bugs has certainly changed that. Won't be going back. I'm giving 2 stars only for the staff. It's unfortunate that the staff has to be apologizing on a constant basis. I think these problems are definitely management related.

Stayed on business and found it to be a good choice. The beds were so comfortable! The breakfast was really good and the location was quiet. There was a restaurant right next door so we didn't have to go far for supper. The staff were friendly.
My husband and I had a pleasant stay here. The room was clean and warm upon arrival, the staff were friendly and helpful. Also, the beds were nice and comfortable. I definitely recommend it.
The location is well tucked away from the city center and trade, I recommend car to stay. Check in quick and easy, free parking, clean and well organized room, clean bathroom and good shower, comfortable bed, no fridge but with ice machine in the hallway. Breakfast simple but serves well, coin laundry ($ 2.00), gym with treadmill and weights.
Home very unpleasant, beautiful and clean room, I give less stars because of the home.

I was there to help someone check in at the motel. It is under renovation at present. It looks like a comfortable and reasonably priced motel.
Room smelled of cigarette smoke when we arrived, even though the door had a no smoking sign on it. Workout room had broken treadmill, no curtain on the huge window either.
And the breakfast... just awful.
If you re looking to stay at a hotel near this one, there is holiday inn and best western right beside it. I recommend staying at one of those hotels.
10/10 do NOT recommend.

I had an embarrassing and horrible experience last weekend in this hotel. I don't even want to give single star to this hotel. The room I booked was with 2 double beds, however with utter surprise we found out the room wasn't available , they gave it to someone else. And we had to wait 1 hour in the lobby to find a room which had just 1 double bed. And I had to spent the whole night in crappy old sofa bed. My wife couldn't sleep at all. And there was smell of smoke and pot everywhere. Never going back and please stay away from this hotel.

The rooms are fairly nice. The entire place is under construction, their was no construction incentive. Last gripe the walls are crazy thin a couple was getting busy all night it took away from the overall experience as I wasn't invited

Room was cold upon entry but I adjusted the temperature no problem. Nice staff had a wonderful greating. Room was definitely clean. Breakfast was standard food. My reasoning for 3 stars was my disappointment in Breakfast due to the paper plates and plastic cutlery. And zero recycling and compost. In my room there was a recycle bin. But nothing in the breakfast area. If we are going to create waste at breakfast we should do our best to recycle what we can. I felt saddened to throw my banana peel plastic cutlery and paper plate all in the same garbage.

Clean quiet little place for the money i paid 0$ was well worth the stay.just dont go to the Macdonald in tha mall down the street it was so nasty and no knows how to work.
Modern bathroom with glass shower was a pleasant surprise. Room was average, staff was friendly and breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold items.
This place STINKS. Literally. Imagine sleeping in an ashtray, and you can get the idea. Add some very strong chemical airfresheners that you can taste in the air to help you get the picture. It stinks like smoke when you walk in. It stinks worse in the halls, even worse in your room, and is repulsive in the stairs with the strong chemical "airfresheners". When they advertise this hotel as smoke free, they mean it. You don't pay extra for the smoke. It is a free stink you can experience in all the parts of the hotel.
Staff were great a check-in. Showed me 6 different rooms to let me find one that stinks less. We only stayed because we were exahusted. Was supposed to be two nights, but we left first thing in the am.
On to breakfast. They ran out of eggs, yogurt, sausages, we just left.
In my opinion, even if it is cheaper then the 2 hotels next to it, skip this place. My headache from the smell is coming back as I right this.
I have added a photo of the disgusting stain we saw in the morning when the sun let you see the dirt in the room. They need to change the carpets they are worn out and no doubt add to the lingering smoke smell.
I asked for an extra pillow and they told me that I can't have one. Cheap people and horrible service
Older hotel, it is showing it's age. Room was nice size. Exterior grounds needed attention lots of garbage around.
I stayed here for 3 days during the weekend. I compared prices and I found this one to a really good deal compared to the other hotels in the area. It's not the newest hotel but the staff was very friendly. We bought the Wonderland package for myself, my husband and our 2 kids. We would stay here again.
Good price for the area, close to the Congress center. Staff could have been friendlier but all in all you get what you pay for.

Stayed here for the long weekend during Veld. The hotel was fully booked, but the service was still excellent. Our room had new furniture, with a fridge and micro. Location was amazing! Can't complain for the price.
Hotel located in North York, not ideal for those wishing to get to the city center. Generally the hotel with the best price in the area. Service enough courteous. The rooms are acceptable but could be cleaner (there was a long hair on a towel). Adequate hotel for those looking for a good room not too expensive.

Cheapest hotel in the area for a reason. Dirty rooms that smell of cigarettes, burn holes in the sheets. Dirty bathroom. Shady clientele. You will wish you had spent a bit more for the Best Western or Holiday Inn Express close by. I am giving it a star just for the management that is trying its best with what it has to work with. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME!
