North York Comfort Inn Review

Clean quiet with most amenities,easy in and out of Toronto if you stay off the 401.

Excellent! WiFi, TV, alarm radio, microwave, fridge, coffee percolator, great lighting, wardrobe, iron, desk, couch, nice paintings, all in your room. Plus complimentary coffee, ice, exercise room, & breakfast in the morning. There is a police station practically next door, so don't try anything criminal. Otherwise, major hospital & clinics nearby, as well as schools & other hotels. A Bathtub Stopper would have been nice though.

The normal Comfort Inn good quality but I was saddened when I asked the staff about making more decaf coffee (1030 pm) and he just told me we only make regular coffee you can make some in your room... hmmm not the customer service I usually see at a Comfort Inn ... not a biggie but disappointed

Had our meeting room Here, seemed clean and well kept. Not the best area though.

It is in a very good location and the staff was very welcoming.

Hotel in renovation. Not 100% functional but good in general. Well located.

This midtown Toronto hotel is located a short distance from Hwy 400 and Finch Ave W.

The front lobby & main entrance of Comfort Inn Toronto North is currently under construction so the Reception area has been moved into a convert room. Just following the signage directing you down the hallway.

Front desk staff are friendly and accommodating; be nice at a minimum and get that at a minimum in return. I ve come here about a half dozen times over the past 2 years and interacted with staff.



This hotel has free parking, WiFi and breakfast included with the stay.

Held on to twice the fee on my creditcard longer than it should. Had to have my bank intervene

Location was in an odd spot but hotel was nice and staff friendly.

Rooms are small but clean. Staff are helpful. They're currently doing some renovations so they're going to be better soon.

Came back to room from a long day of appointments. Room not cleaned at all. No clean towels. Beds not made. Sorry towels still on tub. Called front desk to ask of I could come down and get clean towels. Waited 15 minutes at desk. Then was told to go away and come back later for towels he was to busy to get is some at this time. Won't be coming back again.

It looks a little outdated from the outside but all the staff I dealt with were very helpful and super nice! Would stay again.

Terrible service...the front desk are not sure of their work.

The biggest negative for me was that there was a power outage at 6am when I was showering, and the weather was fine at the time.
Room smelled kinda weird as someone already pointed out. The hotel was pretty old, but the room was clean. Equipment in the gym barely work. Staff were ok. Very basic breakfast. I would book the other 2 hotels next door if they were available.

The staff is very friendly. The rooms and bathroom are clean and well maintained, but a bit dated.
The hall is completely run down, it smells like smoke and is in desperate need of renovation!

The first impression was really bad (because of the hallway!), But the well-kept rooms have done a lot of good again.
OK for a night or two, but staying longer makes the ambiance really bad.

If this hotel ever renovated, you could give 5 stars. So they are well-intentioned 3 stars.

Nicely priced for Toronto. All staff were nice. I will definitely return. It has a great hot breakfast compared to the many places I have been too. My wife enjoyed the cinnamon waffles.

Smelt like smoke, room was less then 6 degrees when we got in, hard beds, unreasonable policies, premise not secure at all, and rude employees

It was a terrible room in a terrible hotel. This is the one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. It seemed as though the bathroom was not even looked in before we arrived at about 6pm. There was hairs in the bathtub, alone with some other black thing. The wall paper was coming off everywhere in the room. The plug socket in the lamp was out of the nase of the lamp, but was still useable (which is scary that they would leave it there like that, talk about dangerous). The bed was horribly loud and very uncomfortable. It was just all around a disgusting, terrible room. There was some construction going and there was stuff laying out where people could have trip. It was not blocked off at all. I am not even sure how they have business there. It was terrible. I will never ever stay there again.

Overall the room was fine, and the booking was easy, but I just had one issue. While checking out, there were 4 guests in front of me that were asked how their stay was and to have a good day, when it came to me, I asked about the $150 deposit fee that was charged on my card, and if it was going to be refunded right then.... The clerk said that the room had to be checked first before the money was refunded. It was interesting to me and a little offensive that out of the everyone checking out before me, I was the only one that had to have their room checked and was charged this deposit fee. I guess they can pick and choose who they want to charge this fee to. I don't know if it was because my boyfriend and I were young, American, black, or all of the above, but I didn't like or appreciate the hidden fee. As of yet, the money hasn't been refunded, but I will give it until the end of the week.

No elevator, low pressure in the toilet. House keeping never came, trash and dirty towels were not pick up. Breakfast was not that good. Very loud, dining area was crowded and small. Building need restoration. Customer service was great. Btw, Did not sleep in the room for the last two nights but checked the room periodically.

Would never stay here again. Our room was so dirty that we had to change (including garbage in toilet and food smears on furniture, coffee stains all over walls etc), staff were rude and accused us of smoking (neither of us smoke), front desk staff were quite rude to us and other guests.

Many bad reviews for this hotel but it was great place to stay overall. Staff was nice, room was clean and renovated. Free breakfast everyday and 10mins away from Wonderland.

Air Canada put me up for free for about 3 hours because they messed my flight up. Beds were comfy, room was excellent for the price I paid (0$).

Not eleganat outer appearance. But rooms and services arr good. Would recommend for a short stay. No good views. Refrigerators and microwave available in the room, so it was really handy. Not star level, but it's ok for the price

The room was clean but the breakfast was very lackluster. The system for checking in was a bit slow as well.

The staff was amazing the breakfast area is small but the breakfast is amazing the beds are alright they need better pillows woke up with my back hurting this morning the rooms are kept very clean.

Staff was polite rooms were clean and looked proper, the only problem was the 300 dollar deposit for visa debit, should really get it back to 100 dollar deposit which was alot better

I travel a lot and this Comfort Inn was certainly one of my go to locations. I discovered it as one of my employees had stayed here in the summer. He mentioned there was renovation, but it looks like that is all done now.

There was a fitness room, that I couldn't get around to using. The room was clean, internet was fast, and breakfast was more than I could ask for.

Wow! Ever godamn rude! The guy hung up on me! He hung up on me! Slammed the phone down! I was asking questions and aski.g for an available room for me and my kids and he ran me thru the rules, about the security deposit and then hung up on me! Hmm. No thanks!

First off I had to wait around 1h for my room to be ready and when I tried to talk to the front desk about it they were very unhelpful and disrespectful. In the end all they said they could do was give me 20% off my room which is terrible customer service. The beds were very small for queen beds and the air conditioner was very loud and did not work at all (had it at the coldest it could go). Overall I would not recommend anyone to come here it is a waste of your money!!

The hotel don't receive cash money, only receive credit card

The rooms are very nice, for this level of a hotel. The Internet seems very responsive here.

The breakfast room gets hot as balls, has a very tacked on feel, but the food was fine

We had a pleasant stay ,the staff was very friendly, house keeping was good and the kids enjoyed getting to make their own waffles for breakfast. We will be going back again next year when we go to canada's wonderland ! Our 3 night stay was great !

I HATE THAT HOTEL THE STAFF IS SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!! YOU SEE A BUNCH OF PROSITUTES, THEY HAVE BED BUGS, ALSO MOLD. THEY ALSO TOOK MY $150.00 DEPOSIT BECAUSE THE ROOM SMELLED LIKE SMOKE, I EXPLAINED TO THEM I REQUESTED THE FIRST FLOOR SO I CAN SMOKE OUTSIDE THE DOOR BECAUSE I WAS CHECKED IN WITH MY FOUR YEAR OLD CHILD. I ARGUED WITH THEM THE FRONT DESK SAID EVEN IF I DIDNT SMOKE IN THE ROOM I STILL GET CHARGED. WASTE OF MONEY I WAS SUPPOSE TO BE CHECKED IN FOR FOUR DAYS HAD TO CHECK OUT AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. DONT BOTHER DISGUSTING PLACE.

Our first night we found needles and blood on the sheets and under the mattress of our couch bed. It took days for the manager to get in touch with us. She gave us a percentage off the one night. Their cleaning staff also stole some of the new clothes i purchased while down there, when questioned they said nothing was ever found. Hope the clothes I bought for me look nice on you! The mattresses were also rock hard. Our only positive review is the really nice gentleman who was working evenings at the front desk and the young man who was working maintenence .. I dont remember their names and im sorry for that.

I had a great time staying here with a friend. There's comfy bedding, a microwave and fridge upon request, a coffee maker, a TV and wifi, free breakfast every morning, a nice bathroom, daily housekeeping, a fitness center, vending and ice machines, and it's in a nice location. Additionally, there's a restaurant just across the street, which is very convenient.

Rooms are clean, staff was friendly and their bfast is not bad

I book here a lot for when I bring staff in for training and have never heard a bad word from the people I have brought in ... would be 5 stars but they almost always mess up my in advance reservations and somehow always try to blame it on me ...

Stayed here for two nights recently to catch a Raptors game downtown. The location was amazing, it only took 30 minutes to get downtown.

The place looks like it's being renovated, but the staff was very accomadative. I've stayed at Comfort Inns before and I certainly like this location.

I can t give this a star cause it should be closed under these Reno s ! My
room has been renovated but it s needs a paint job and new curtains and carpet then it would be done !
Oh ya and they need new slidding doors that don t need a man to open them ! So whoever stayed here longer then 1 night really don t expect more then this ? I stayed 1 night and only 1 never again !
Washroom beds and furniture are new and clean !
Re open when complete cause your not going to get better reviews then this

Beds are hard , Floor is dirty ... They don't clean after others. Food is gross. Floor is more comfortable then the bed . Bad location.

I love this place. It has ground level patio doors from your room to your parking spot. This feature is an added bonus when your travelling with pets.
The staff are overly accommodating to all your needs, and are polite and courteous which are a rare find these days.
Located right off the ramp to the freeway. Easy access.

It smelled like death in the hallway outside my room. There's no elevator. Cleanliness standards are lacking.

Housekeeping was friendly but front desk not so much. Asked if we could eat our own food at the breakfast area: "no, it's already been cleaned up". During checkout, I was asked to wait in the lobby for Abt 15 min until they checked the room so they can refund my deposit (used a cc that they charged as debit somehow).

Breakfast isn't bad.

$140 for the night. Loved the lemon water at the front desk, breakfast was solid and the room was generally clean. Found some loose hair in the bathroom that was off putting.
