Our party ordered a variety of food and everything was excellent.

Very good food and service. I totally recommend this place especially if you like seafood.

Great service, AWESOME FOOD, wish I could give this six stars! (Got the grilled chicken and cinnamon pork chop!)

V disappointing. We are residents in Corolla, this day with my 89 yo mother and her 88 yo sister. Advertised as open but upon entering at 4 we were unapologetically told they weren't seating anyone until 5. The place was full of patrons. !!! We patronize this place in the off season. No more. Rude rude rude staff. Psthetic, vacationing folks treated this way.

The oysters, oh my...they were all so delicious! Raw, steamed, fried, any way possible. The appetizers menu was out of this world, what a refreshing and creative menu!

We had great service, really good cocktails, and the food was excellent

Dinner was absolutely fantastic and our service was great. The waiter was so great with my two young boys and my pickiest kid gave it a five star review ! I would definitely recommend it!

We had 19 people in our group and tried to call ahead to give them a heads up because they do not take reservations. Upon arrival the host was extremely rude, had no interest in seating us and told my twin 8 year olds to move when he was coming through, we decided to go to the Oceanside Grille instead which was very accommodating and friendly. We will not be wasting our time at The North Banks Restaurant again

We have been to North Banks several times and just recently April 24th. We will continue to make North Banks a must when we are in the area. The food and service is always excellent! It's definitely a must try! You won't be disappointed!

If I could I would give this 0 stars. I do not know where all the 4 and 5 star reviews came from. The restaurant the small dark, is smelly and the staff bump in to you all the time while waiting. My wife ordered steamers I ordered fish-and-chips I my kids order to pulled pork and the crab cake sandwich. The steamers came about 20 minutes before our sandwiches arrived. Agreed that when I come from the raw bar of might arrive at different time but 20 minutes before our sandwiches were made. Excuse made was that the kitchen was little backed up. There was 4 to 5 tables in the entire restaurant. My fish and chips came out and they were disgusting. If anybody is familiar with English fish-and-chips or traditional fish-and-chips this is not fish-and-chips. 3 pieces of slimy fried fish. Each about the size of your little finger. Absolutely gross. Stay away. It's a shame because the probly have so much foot traffic that they don't really care about the reviews that people post but this will be the last time I will be back and spend a $120.
Let me put it another prospective. If you want bad food, bad service for over priced food come to this place. I'mThere's a lot of letter restaurants on the strip that can offer more friendlier service, nicer tasting food and for a lot less money.
Oh and by the way if anybody from the restaurant pr owners are reading this your table texting system is terrible. I kept getting texts to from your system that our table ready, we're nearly there, were top of the line, every time I got a text I either clicked cancel clicked sent number 3 or sent stop message whatever I in fact they got a message after the meal with finished and I was walking out the door that our table was ready. Total experience from the time we entered the door to the time we left was really badd. Try anywhere else I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Also very very pricey. Really expensive for the quality and amount of food to get they should be charging half the price.

Wonderful experience from the super friendly local staff to the exquisite culinary delights... And the restaurants ambiance was over the top!!! Two thumbs up!!!

Cuisine food (vs same old seaside resort fried seafood). Daily appetizer and main course specials. I had the bacon wrapped scallops appetizer, halibut main course and coconut cake for dessert. The portions are generous, the sauses exquisite, the seafood cookie to perfection and the cake was dense and moist yummyness.

Typical seafood-focused bar food. Hushpuppies were great. Tempura battered crabmeat bites were good but not many for your money. Chowder was ok and certainly way overpriced ($7) for a bowl that was little more than sample size. The banh mi was a huge disappointment. Panko-breaded butterflied shrimp was good as was the yellowfin tuna plates (mango salsa was a real standout in this dish). Family of four bill was $124. Pricy but then again its a tourist place.

This place is very busy as is the shopping center that it is in. Parking is tough, or was at the time we were there. The food was good and staff was friendly .

10 minute wait even though they were busy. Food was really good and service was good. I would go back.

Oh. My. Gosh! You must eat at this restaurant! The yellowfin tuna is amazing, the service is great and the whole staff is a pleasure! If you're in Corolla Beach, make sure to hit this restaurant... You won't be sorry!

Amazing crab grenades!!! Loved my crab cakes. Husband said their raw oysters are a good as they get. Quick and courteous service too.

We love this restaurant. It is a highlight of our OBX family vacations. Sometimes we have to wait because we are a large party but it is worth the wait. The food is great. We hadn't been here for a couple of years so it it was fun to see our favorite waiter, Derek, too. The service is excellent.

Long lines on summer evenings, but the food is absolutely worth waiting for. They don't take reservations, and to be seated, your whole party has to be there within 10 min of the call back, so stop by here first, then go shopping. At 6PM on Memorial Day weekend, the wait was 1 hr for party of four, and 2.5 hrs for a party of seven.
Award-winning chowder, several varieties of oysters, local shrimp, awesome crab cakes, even really good salads. Different menus for lunch and dinner; the excellent NC BBQ is only available for lunch. Good selection of wines and cocktails.

Excellent seared Cajun Mahi fish. A little strong on the spices but very tasty and cooked to perfection. Scallops were amazing coupled with a corn hash. Great assortment of craft beers.

Both meal and service was outstanding. Started at the bar prior to our seating and was promptly greeted. The seafood selections were fresh and well prepared, especially the specials. They do an outstanding job when you consider how busy they are. Get there early and you can beat the wait.

I love north banks and its owner Cindy. My to go place everytime. Their crab grenades are the bomb.

This is our favorite place to eat when we visit Corolla. The food is always delicious and fresh and the portions are huge! Great service and atmosphere! We can't wait to come back

Food was really good. The waitress did a great job with our large party (12+). I had the grilled lobster tail, which was good, but I think I prefer boiled lobster over grilled.

Absolutely delicious food. Warm and friendly atmosphere. We were here in April, so didn't have to contend with the summer crowd.

Great service, attentive but not obnoxious. Wonderfully tasty food, we shared the very expensive but worth it she-crab soup, I had their grilled tuna tacos and wife had fish burrito - monstrous. Kid friendly. Natasha was an awesome waitress.

The foot was excellent. Everyone got something different and loved it. The service was awesome! Sent family back the next night and headed there again for date night.

A last minute find. And what a gem. Visiting friends on vacation and this place popped up as one of the best seafood places in corolla. Everything we ordered was delish (10 different items). Our beautiful Russian server was over the top. She didn t write down our order and everything was served exactly as requested. And it was not easy with multiple drink and food and app and entree orders. We will visit this place again. Thanks for the great meal.

Crab dip was basically just cream cheese, oysters weren t so good either. Very expensive for what you get.

The wait was terrible, but the food more than made up for it. Definitely worth every minute of the 2 hour wait.

Way over priced. Food was descent. Asked for a regular $9 burger was told that the bacon jam burger was the burger of the day. I was like well thank you. Thinking that I was about to save some money by getting the burger of the day. It turned out it was $4 more $13 instead of $9 and ended up not eating half of the bacon jam. Way to sweet for a burger tasted like molasses.

Best meal we had in OBX. Real cooked food. A lot of these places can get away with anything down here. This place doesn't look at business that way.

Tasty food at a middle price (5 adults, 2 children $130). Busy during lunch but the service was good. Small, But bustling . Parking is bad, delivery trucks just stopped in the road creating bad bottle necks.

Great place. Had take out tonight. Service was amazing. Clara was a great host. Put my order in of the cakes and seafood pasta. Went inside for a drink and entire staff was masked up and safe as possible. The owner Cindy came out with our food and talked to us for awhile. Every good thing you heard about this place is true. Tasha, Derek, Angie, Bradie, Raymond....amazing staff. You need to try this place.

If you're ever in or around Corolla, NC and you're looking for a great place to eat, this has to be at the top of your list for dinner!We tried this place on a whim and we're so glad we did. My wife's She Crab soup had more crab in it than the crab cake I ate for dinner the night before. Fried clams are huge chunks and cooked to perfection. Scallop dinner was great as were the ribs. Fine dining prices, but casual dress is the norm. But you get top quality meals for the price.

I have eaten at many outer banks restaurants over the years and this is definitely a must!!! The waiter and host where very friendly and the food was exceptional. If you like great food don't miss this restaurant. Thanks for the great experience.

Horrible service at the bar for dinner.I guess the bartender was burned out from the summer.No excuse.

Busy, but excellent food and drink offerings. Great baked oysters, steamed crab legs, and steak cuts. Would definitely go back. And, lounge next store if you have to wait for a table (drinks & appetizers available there, too!).

Disappointing waitress and management customer service. We expressed displeasure in an appetizer. The waitress replied, "It is prepared the way the menu says" and asked if we wanted to take it home in a doggy bag for someone else. The manager responded the same. The manager later came back and said they took it off the bill, but insisted on saying, "You should have read the menu." Then the Wahoo catch of the day was served dry, but I didn't dare criticize it. I just wanted to leave. So much for the customer is always right.

Food was great. Place is small and crowds form quickly. Even with a long wait there appeared to be seats at the bar if you were willing to eat there.

Our waiter was a joy! Food was delicious! We were off peak season and were very lucky to find a really nice relaxing place to have a fabulous meal. Bathroom was empty and it was evening, while very clean, it was the bathroom in every horror movie

Day 3 of vacay unfortunately torrential downpour... crazy crowds everywhere, however, our party of 7 was seated in less than 10 minutes. 10 star experience all the way:) Excellent food & outstanding service! Our waitress was absolutely exceptional!! Shared appetizers, Jumbo Lump Crab Dip & Tuna Bites... yummy. Jumbo Lump Crab Cake sandwiches, hubby ordered fried, I ordered broiled & remoulade sauce was the perfect topping. 4 of us ordered Juicy All Natural Burgers with fries. One of us ordered 1/2 pound of Spiced North Carolina Shrimp. Definitely check this place out, you will not be disappointed!!

Small and quaint and the food is simply amazing. I've been going for years and it's always top notch. Try the crab granades as an appetizer. You won't be disappointed. I'm pretty sure they are famous for those.

Very small establishment, expect to wait during Prime season. They have a great variety of drinks, superb wine list, efficient waitstaff, and fantastic food!

High-end seafood and delicious drinks. I loved the homemade dill sauce and the cocktail sauce has a good extra bit of horseradish if you like that extra kick.

get crowded quick so be prepared to wait. You'll be in for a treat though so don't be discouraged. They also have a lounge area, separate from the main restaurant where you can grab a drink while you wait. They have a great beer list but what you'll really want are the Crab Grenades! They're D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! We've been here plenty of times and have had a few of their menu items but I keep going back to those grenades. Another great item is the Spiced North Carolina Shrimp. They have some kick and a 1/2 pound is great as an entree!

I can't possibly fathom how this place has a 4.4 rating. Our server never refilled drinks. Brought out all the meals separately over a 15 time span. The children's pasta was sitting in a pool of watery sauce. We were also seated in the bar area next to a patron seated at the bar with no shoes. What a tourist trap of a a joke. The steamer combo was decent portioned but horribly cooked. Save your money and skip this dump.

Zero stars!!...Very poor service, flies everywhere and honestly the food is sub par....def not worth your time!

We have been coming to the Outer Banks for years and we have had dinner at this restaurant at least 2/3 time when were are in Corolla. This is one of the finest restaurants in the area. A bit pricey, we have never been disappointed. Remember you get what you pay for. The staff has always been OUTSTANDING, and we have never been disappointed in their service. In fact we are on the way to Corolla tomorrow. Guess where the first stop will be. You bet, NORTH BANKS restaurant in Timbuck II ...

Unless you are unlucky and have a bad experience for some reason, which is unlikely and will be rectified by the ever present owner Cindy, there is no reason to give this hidden gem 5 stars...located inexplicably in TimBuk 2 tourist area of Corolla, NC, its a great restaurant experience

Great food but a tad small on portions for what they charge.

Our favorite place in Corolla! We look forward to our trip every year! Great food, great service, yummy specialty drinks, and the owner even let us know when our favorite appetizer was on the menu. Thank you so much!! You guys rock!!

Our first time at North Banks and we will definitely be back. The service by Gary and the food was all amazing. We had a group of 9 with 2 children and everything went seamlessly. Not a single complaint by anyone in the group.
We are purchasing a home in Corolla and I can guarantee you this will be a regular place for our restaurant visits.

Service was excellent. Great alcohol selection the and everything we ordered came out perfect. I will be eating there again.

The best food in OBX. Ryan is a master waiter. Don't miss it!
