New renov make it nice and classy. Shame the outer bar is returned to a gaming room. Sticks out too much

Great outdoor seating, good food, and plenty of parking. Great for an evening lunch.

Could do with a little better shelter from the rain in the outdoor seats, the marques set up actually spray water into the undercover areas.

Seems it has turned into a real party site for the younger generation. Or maybe I just got old. Once upstairs we couldn't go back down and it was full of teenagers drinking from those red plastic cups with loud club music downstairs is nice and chill but very empty.

Great pub to waste an afternoon, only dramas are with parking. Food good and reasonably priced.

Still fairly average place. Average staff, average food. Dont expect much and you won't be disappointed. If you want to go to just drink beer with your mates, this place is for you.

Wonderful spot, see the lights and the design. Not only the design walk in and you won t regret.

It's ok I guess. I'm a little buased though, I used to drink here years ago before the refurbishment. Now I'm lucky to get in in the evenings.

Great fun attending Trivia nights. Meals are not great. Very disappointed with my salad and other meals. Tasted bland and boring.

Awesome pub/bar/restaurant that suits anyone from all walks of life.
Great food with a big menu.
Plenty of drinks available with a full bar including beer (and wine!) on tap.
Table service inside with good Air Conditioning and the best decor possible- portraits of beautiful dogs all around!

Full menu also available sitting outside in the large covered area with heaps of seating, big screen projecter with sports as well as live music on the weekends.
The staff have always been friendly, helpful and professional.
Easy to get to (public transport/uber + plenty of car parking) and a welcoming place that friends and I enjoy going to anytime for good food and drinks. Great place for catching up.

Worst meal I have had in 20 years. Wife ordered Thai Beef Salad; cold and greasy. I ordered steak sandwich; so cold I sent it back. Second one came out colder. They offered a couple of wines but we refused this. First time we have ever complained about food anywhere in Australia.

Love love love this place, often go for lunch and sometimes for dinner. Food is great, and the staff are friendly.

Been many times to Normanby. All staff are very friendly, always have great smile. Today met a staff who called Isaac. Wanted to say he has a very good customer service.

Very well priced meals and very tasty.. had the 250 steak and chicken burger which were great. Very friendly staff made it a nice and quick lunch.. thanks guys keep up the good work..

The Normanby looks similar but the service is now amazing. So good that I sort out a manager to compliment a few staff. Thanks guys

Great atmosphere, good food, excellent for sporting events.

My wife's steak was burnt, my steak was over cooked and my sons calamari rings were not cooked. We waited 45 minutes for our meal - people who arrived after us where served first. Waiter staff were rude.First time here and I will never return. We usually go to morrisons which is fantastic, bad mistake coming here. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Unbelievably disappointed $100 down the drain.

Steak and ribs were great and you could actually get a park at lunchtime unlike some other steakhouses

Not that impressed with the 29 dollar steak. Staff not friendly chef made a comment when I asked for well done and the place is to loud plenty of better options. Don t eat the mushroom gravy it aweful.

rubbish we ordered a burger and gave us steak i]overcharged u and food was cold when we got it i wouldn't eat here even if my life depended on it and i wanted to give it zero stars

Just had a couple of drinks here but really enjoyed the atmosphere. It's been beautifully renovated.

Have not been there for a while but will be going back. Good food and good service.

Lovely venue that needs to improve the behaviour of some staff.

The staff got my meal wrong twice, then asked whether I would eat it anyway. When I told them 'no' , one staff member swore in front of the group. When my meal came out a third time (this time rare) I just shut up and ate it.

Went there last sat for a few drinks with my friends,I have never been there before,it was a good atmosphere,when entering you could scan the QR scan code or they write your name down for the covid-19 plan it is good you have the choice,the girl was very nice to talk to,I would go there and have lunch there.

Nice character and food. Wasn't busy on a Thurs. With the number of bars I imagine it would be on a Friday and Saturday night

Nice place not to much class though got robed there however not to happy about that bit post about it really think I know the fella who did it to befriend me first yes some shady carator"s seem to come and go from this place indeed would not bring kids here partculy during the night time am yet to have a meal here so can't mention that they do have pay to play pool tables.

Ok so Normanby Hotel is streaming all the Rugby World Cup games at the moment on a big screen outside of the hotel. Myself and my fiance went for the first time just for a night out together and watch his home team play. When we arrived a staff worker had introduced himself to people infront of us being really kind and friendly, however when it was us he walked straight past us. We kept walking to find staff to show us the BIG screen for the game. We found one she helped us to a table and had menus for us. I ordered our food and was very disappointed i love carbonara pasta and it was a $17 entree it definitely was not worth it and they had ruined my dish as if they were in a rush, it had a taste of smoked or burned bacon and no cheese it was not a very pleasant meal. Also there were some kind of important people they were trying to impres or something so i figured they had put more effort into there meals. BUT ... aint all customers IMPORTANT shouldnt we all get this kind of treatment? Then it was game time we had asked very nicely for the sound to enjoy the game. We were told we couldnt because of some bloggers/important people were there. We had to go to the back on a little screen and second hand smoking as this is there Garden Area it was advertising Sports and as a sports bar it should have played the game on their BIG screen yet we had to go at the back with all the smokers. Because of other more high profiled people were there. Disappointed and we heard so much about this place unfortunately it wasnt good at all.

The COVID-19 protocol here is inefficient. Was told to get an app which I couldn't find in the Google Play store. Found out later I could have manually signed in but that was not offered by staff at the time. Poor customer experience for me.

I ve gone to a lot of places over the years. It s not very often you find a place where you get good food , good prices and good service. My whole life it has been one or the other. This afternoon myself and a friend of mine decided to go to the Normanby hotel as we had a work commitment on over Brisbane and needed to use up some time. I m so glad we made this decision , the food was perfect. But I must mention the customer service I received from the lady named Toni was exceptional. She was very welcoming , made suggestions , offered a special listing and made it a great experience all over. She is an asset to this company I must say. I m not tech savvy but I felt this lady deserved some credit. Thank you again and we shall be back. Steven

Enjoyable steaks. Some of the best sauces I've tried. Though I do miss their Buffalo wings. Isn't crowded on non-game weeknights. You could score a large table indoors. Beer options are average.

Easily the best pub I have ever been to. Great meals and an awesome atmosphere. Also has a very well stocked bar.

Lunch time meal. Was delicious. Ribs salad and chips. Service where helpful and delightful.

Despite the good use of the old structure the layout is disjointed with not real flow. Private function area are well appointed for there intended use but no excitement or desire to stay at this venue

Over priced, terrible food. You can cook better steak at home. We went here for dinner a few weeks ago and ordered steak. It was horrible. Poorly cooked - I ordered medium rare and it was very rare. It was also very tough and had a lot of fat in it. There were 4 of us and each steak was just as bad. Also it was not a busy night but our orders took ages. Don't eat here.

Crowded and noisy but what else do you expect from a pub on a Friday afternoon in December.

We met friends there on a sat night to watch the football, we were invited into the VIP gaming lounge to watch the NRL whilst AFL was shown on the big screen in the beer garden, the staff and entrees were amazing, however disappointed with main meals, as the chips tasted like fish, and had been re-cooked, and the steak was over cooked.
However had a overall good night

Normanby hotel is one of the most iconic Brisbane pubs. It has a great beer garden which is home to some awesome live music. They also hold really great mini festivals throughout the year

Was at a booked venue upstairs and was fairly impressed with the food and service. There's a nice charm to the place. Handy location next to public transport if you're up to have an extra few drinks.

Sadly have been supporting with family and friends for 30 years and will never go again after my experience today.
