Huge place with a great restaurant section. Very well kept and even has private rooms. All the food is delicious and service is very attentive. All in all a great place to eat, albeit a little pricey.

I attended a workshop at the Nittany Lion Inn. The room had nice tables and chairs set up, with water at each table plus coffee and other snacks in the lobby. This is a very nice place for a workshop or professional event, except that the rooms are always very cold. I usually need to wear my coat indoors.

I was attending a PSU recruitment event ands the staff was so accomodating, the lunch was amazing, and the space was warm and elegant. Ill look forward to future events at the Nittany Lion Inn.

I was there for a professional event so I can't speak to the rooms, but the hotel is really gorgeous! The staff I encountered were friendly and helpful and the food that was served for the event was delicious! It's just steps from the Lion Shrine on campus, so the location is hard to beat.

Service staff was very friendly. The location is ideal, right on campus so easy to get to everything from the e hotel. Food was great, had a fantastic cheese cake for dessert. Parking at the lot next door was validated, so plenty of parking. Great place to host events in state college.

Never again. I typically stay at the Penn Stater or the Holiday Inn Express (or any of the others in that plaza) when in State College. Because I had meetings scheduled at the IST Building, I figured why not give NLI a try since it was in walking distance and right on campus. Needless to say, the old style is not my taste. When it came to the room, it smelled musty when I first arrived. The bathroom didnt seem the cleanest and the shower head in the shower was broken, tilted towards the wall. To top it off, it was really comforting laying in bed and then seeing a thousand-legger go across the ceiling... if not to add more anxiety to my stay here. The good news is the Central Air cooled the room down relatively quickly. Never again will I stay here, especially at $200/night. You will gladly find me back at the Penn Stater or any other "modern" hotel in State College.

In my work I get around to hundreds of hotels and restaurants each year. I just took a tour through the Nittany Lion and I have to say that it is a very nice place. Book your stay here, you'll be glad you did. It is very clean with an elegant yet relaxing feel. There is a great bar, Whiskers, and The Dining Room (that's the actual name of the restaurant) is quite nice. Check them out - click on the "See inside" image n this page and you will get a Google Virtual Tour of the inside of the Inn.

No one opened the door for me or escorted me to my event. I walked around aimlessly looking for where to go and eventually found it, clearly late. The food was mediocre at best and the servers kept making mistakes like tripping and almost dropping their plates. The event was free, but I would not pay to attend an event here. Nothing special.

If you don't care for Penn State or Nittany Lions...stay somewhere else. The Nittany Lion Inn "is" Penn State, and "The" Nittany Lion prowls a few steps down the sidewalk towards town and Rec Hall.

Great location if using PSU facilities in any way. Down town State College has a lot of food and fun to offer at just a block or so away. Rooms are nice, though sometimes they can be a bit of a trek to get to. Service is always great, would recommend.

Beautiful hotel. Excellent staff.

Food is just okay. The hotel can be hard to navigate at times... almost feels too small despite the size. (As in doorways and heights )

I loved everything about the Nittany Lion Inn. I just wish I could have stayed there overnight! What I did see while attending a conference was very impressive. Great bathrooms, wonderful staff, good food, and awesome finishings and details throughout the hotel. Can't wait to go back.

As a PSU Alum, I had waited for this moment for years. It was a bit overhyped. It's expensive but you're close to everything, including right next door to the Lion Shrine. I did appreciate the fact that they offer complimentary shuttle service to places within 5 miles. The staff was great and it looks very nice inside near the lobby. The room, however, was nothing too special. The water pressure in the shower kept cutting out too. It's a nice stay but seemed overpriced.

Stunning facility in an extraordinary location. Rooms are antiquated and in need of updates, but then again, that's part of the charm. So it's really a 50/50 proposition. Do we update and risk the loss of character or leave it as is and leave guests with some minor inconveniences? I suppose I vote for the former! :)

We had to change rooms due to a smell and I really wanted to like this place. I truly did. I just wish the the kept the wall paper on the walls more. The corners were pealing away. But our cousin had a wedding there and I have to say it was nice.

This is a beautiful venue for a wedding and a nice, quaint place to stay the night. The classic aesthetic and charming grounds make you feel like you've gone back in time but with the conveniences of modern day. I also like the way that the hotel is so closely affiliated with PSU. You see touches from apparent student projects such as graphic design on the soaps and valet jobs.
