Excellent room for the event. Great appetizers and food though mashed potatoes were a little dry.

Excellent customer service and the shuttle was a lifesaver. Will visit again!
Really nice stay. Clean comfortable room and quiet too. Thank you!
Went for an IST recruiting event. Service was great as well as the food provided.
what an excellent facility. we were there for an awards lunch and the meal and service were excellent. Don't forget to have your parking validated if you park in the garage.
The Nittany Lion Inn is nicknamed Penn State's Living Room, the atmosphere and hospitality truly inbody it. This 4 diamond property is home to Whiskers Pub, a fine dining restaurant, as well as lots of meeting space and ballrooms. The events put onby the NLI are always a good time and the staff, of which many are Penn State Hospitality Students, serve you well and with a smile.
We had a banquet in the Mt. Nittany Room. Selection of dinner food was excellent. The room was well see up and clean. Dessert was also great (apple fritters and ice cream). I would have liked a larger drink selection (only had water, ice tea, and coffee).
Excellent place to hold conferences. Location was great. Lobby and halls were immaculate. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Very nice rooms and great atmosphere. A billing snafu caused them to put a reserve on the card. While I understand that mistakes happen, the staff put forth little to no effort to make the situation right. It was basically, "deal with the $400 that's been reserved on you card. It'll work itself out our you can call your bank." Yeah, how about YOU take charge of the situation and make it right instead of putting the onus on your guest when YOU screwed it up. Disappointing because we love the Inn. Probably won't stay here again unfortunately.
Fantastic spacing and an old fashioned, professional atmosphere.
Great place to have an personal/professional events, great guest services and friendly staff
Upscale hotel and amenities. Not too crowed, probably due to its smaller size. Horrible traffic jam on adjacent street at 5 pm led us to u- turn and take dinner first before checking in. Clean, plush rooms. Well - lit hallways.
Outstanding experience! Clean, well maintained. Competent, friendly staff. Hard to get a room on football/homecoming weekend - plan ahead! Highly recommend the Penn Stater.
I have attended several professional events at this location. What I have seen of the hotel is very nice. Clean and we'll kept. The staff is curtious and helpful.
Most amazing stay ever and the staff here are really nice
We are at whiskers. Very limited menu there, which makes sense as it's the bar. Not the cheapest drink prices but again, makes sense given the place you're at.
Everyone we talked to was friendly and competent, would visit again
The staff is so accommodating and the brunch is fantastic. We feel very lucky to have the ability to experience places like this.
The hotel and surrounding areas are beautiful, including an interior courtyard garden that's visible from the rooms. The staff was very courteous and friendly. The rooms are nothing extraordinary, but they were pleasant and the beds were comfortable. It is located at a great spot on campus, within walking distance of the Nittany Lion statue and several main campus buildings. Our stay was paid for by the alumni association so I can't speak to the price/value, but overall it was an enjoyable stay.
It was fine, the restaurant's food was mediocre at its price point but that seems to be the case with many hotels
He went there for a professional event. The food there was tasty, and they served us ice cream from the Berkey ice cream parlor. The employees were friendly and knowledgeable.
It was very professional and the food was tasty. I didn't stay overnight so I can't comment about the rooms.
Hotel staff was very nice. Rooms were needing some touch ups and shower was not great but overall a good stay.
Prices are very high, but it is a nice atmosphere and pretty fancy.
The staff is wonderful and Alumni Hall is a a great place for a small event.
Loved it! It was the perfect stay for our graduation weekend!
Christmas party at Whiskers. Good food and drinks.
I love staying at the Nittany Lion Inn because it is beautiful and in such close proximity of the places I spend my time on campus. A major complaint I have is that there are so many special breakfasts set up in the space outside of Whiskers and I have to walk through them as a commoner to get my morning coffee. It is uncomfortable, especially if I d like to get my coffee directly after my morning workout.
I really enjoy when we have work events at the Nittany Lion Inn. The staff is friendly and welcome and the food is great too. We usually use the various meeting rooms, which are all clearly marked - super helpful!
All universities have at least one of these Inn type hotels. This is Penn State's version. Well worth it.
Beautiful setting. Accomodations a+ food.a+ experience a+ staff very curteous
It's a beautiful inn on the grounds of Penn State. The restaurants serve great food. My only complaint is that our room had a profoundly musty smell.
Loved the hotel thought it was nicely decorated and a great place to host events! I did think not putting the reception and the happy hour together was a little strange however. We had an event in the alumni hall then the dinner in the board room.
As hotels go, it was perfectly ordinary. Nice parts include it being run largely by students (I think?) and the free apples.
Great service. Rooms were very humid at all times though which was weird.
Really enjoyed my stay, facilities and the employees were all fantastic.
Great stay! Liked to Old feel of the Inn! Would stay here again!
Great service, but the room had a faint Body odor smell that was off putting
Fantastic service and restaurant options. Very clean and comfortable rooms.
We loved this place and the free shuttle was a life saver
It was a great place for a professional networking event.
Fantastic place to stay. Very nice clean rooms and staff is friendly and welcoming. Will def stay here again
The catered lecture event I attended was very impressive.
Pricey during football weekends, but not bad during off seasons
Best place to stay in State College. Beautiful hotel with great breakfast and dinner restaurants in the hotel. Not to mention, walking distance to Penn State.
Classic property, comfortable rooms, exceptional service #LetsGuide
Great place. Food for my brunch was plentiful and delicious.
Clean, comfortable, great staff, easy check in and check out. Great food but pricey, however you get what you pay for. Probably one of the best places for a conference in the state. Has shuttle service which is very convenient. Keep some cash handy to tip the concierge staff. They are extremely helpful and a couple bucks for the shuttle service to be dropped off or picked up is definitely worth it.
Old fashioned early American decor but comfortable room. I just took a shower. The water would have a quick scalding spike then go frigid. You had to turn the water back to hot until it warmed up, adjust it to a good temperature then it would do it again. This happened at least 4 times during my shower.
Best hotel on campus. Lovely staff and close to everything.
The Nittany Lion is a very well managed establishment. Large rooms with a large bath/shower. There are 2 employees manning the door at all times to hold the door and the inn is located right near central State College. Can't go wrong except possibly on price.
Rooms were nice, but fire alarm went off very early for no reason which was stressful and disruptive
We recently went for their Sunday brunch and really enjoyed our experience. There was a nice variety of dishes and the staff was extremely friendly.
Definitely a relaxing atmosphere, minute details lacked, such as a comforter on the bed.
The high points of this hotel are the staff and the location. The staff is top notch. Everyone is accommodating. Doormen, front desk, housekeeping, bartenders and servers; all were excellent. We stayed on an off weekend in early January so the town was empty, which was nice. We ate breakfast at The Dinning Room at the hotel which was awesome. Come hungry. Tons off food and not just breakfast food. Shrimp and a meat carving station round it out. I couldn't even make it to the dessert table but it looked nice. Service was great. Also went to Wiskers around 9 or so on Saturday night. They got hit with a bunch of people coming from the hockey game but responded wonderfully. We had a 5 year old in tow which they told us was no problem. He had a giant root beer float while we had a nite cap and the best sweet potato fries I've ever had. I dont even like sweet potatoes. Again, awesome service. The cons I have are rooms without sufficient lighting and a slightly dated decor but that wont stop me from staying there in the future so lo g as I can get a good rate.
Rooms were well kept and cozy. Nice and cold for the night.
Excellent service at the hotel. Very colonial feel, great way to visit Penn St
