Nick's was a great place to kick off the evening! We only had time for the happy hour - can't speak to the main dishes.

We enjoyed sliders, pot stickers, and fries along with wine.

It is a beautiful spot and the service was good.

I recommend it to hotel guests and others in the area.

Nick's Fish Market is the best restaurant in South Maui. The food is awesome. The service is exceptional. The ambience is perfect, especially at Sunset. Chef Maka makes the best ahi creations.

Excellent service and ambiance! We stayed at the Fairmont, but almost skipped Nick s because there was only one vegetarian option, the vegetable cannelloni, which seemed like an afterthought. Surprisingly, it was amazingly delicious and completely worth it. Would definitely recommend.

If you go there during happy hour prices, you will get great food, and your wallet won't catch fire. Good drinks, good food, the view CAN be good depending on where you are seated, and though they offer valet parking, the hotel is so popular and busy, it can be tough to navigate there. Might skip this next trip in favor of a new spot next trip.

Terrible. Staff at check in stand cannot provide a menu. They are yelling at people especially the lady. Bar tender said "go and look for a menu yourself." Told tacos were corn as I have celiacs but they are wheat. Cevice is 90% Guac with heavy onion and one tiny piece of fish (like half the size of an M&M). Fish tacos have some strange sauce that was not mention and my wife says tastes strange. Fries are from Cisco and low quality. Won't be back. Very sad place. No idea how four stars. Wines are $4 bottles from Central Valley for $8 a glass. I think not. No ability to do a grilled cheese or hot dogs for kids. No veggie option for the other kid. Did I mention. I won't be back?

We had our wedding reception in the private room at Nick's Fishmarket. We were planning from overseas, but this was made easy by Patricia's prompt email responses. On the night, the room was beautiful, the service was quick and friendly, and the food was delicious.

Really, really slow service. We came at 8:20, and weren't out of there until 10pm, and we only ordered one course. The waiters seemed pretty uninterested in us (party of 7) and routinely ignored us when it was time to order (we had to flag them down after 15 minutes), and time to get the check (again had to flag down), and time to collect the payment. It also took over 30 minutes from ordering to arrive at the table, and it really wasn't that busy -- maybe 1/2 full. They should at least bring the kids food first.

They were really attentive with filling up the water, but the rest of the service was really poor.

Food was decent, but didn't blow any of us away. For comparison we went to Monkeypod the day before and we're blown away by drinks, food, and service.

Loved the cool outdoor setting. We ordered the rack of lamb, calamari and the grilled lobster mac & cheese. The portions are massive. The calamari was crispy and drizzled with a delicious sauce. The rack of lamb was tender and delicious with the jam but the potato mash in the middle was really dry.

If you re looking for a hearty dinner in the cool night air, dinner at Nick s is a great experience.

I went to Nick's especially for abalone. I ate abalone before in Carmel California and I loved it. I was very disappointed by the way it was prepared here. It was breaded (doesn't say on the menu) and for the price of $120 I expected to receive the shell (as a souvenir) like I did in Carmel. Also, my husband's choice was not worth the money we paid.
We will not go again.

Been coming to Maui every year for 15 years. We frequent the best restaurants on the island. In the past 3 years we can added Nicks to our schedule and just last week decided it was number 1 favorite. Their seafood preparations are utterly amazing, the staff is world class and the atmosphere is conducive to any type of venue you might be looking for. If you go to Maui and do not try Nick's, you really missed out. Aloha!!

We went there after a wedding on 8/8/2015, I ordered the steak and so did a lot of others. I was given the wrong temperature but just thought they had way over cooked my medium steak. It was like boot leather. Instead they had given the grooms mothers steak and her mine. She likes a lot of salt but didn't tell me she had salted the hell out of it. I took one bite and realized I couldn't eat it however the server never came back to ask me why I wasn't eating my food or if that temperature was okay for me or any of the others. Basically I had to pay $60 for a dinner that I took two bites out of. I stayed after to speak to the server and his only response was oh I thought I had came back. It was late as it took us two and a half hours to get our food and pay. Very disappointed in the service and response to the incident. The hotel is beautiful and I had great service at the bar. Recommend not going late because they simply wanted to get out of there and not take care of our table but it was not our fault they took our reservation for a late time.

I was not impressed with the food. We ordered the Kahlua Pig Potstickers as an appetizer - which were good, my husband couldn't get enough of the sauce. For my entree though I ordered the Moroccan Spiced Salmon - although the salmon was cooked perfectly, the mustard sauce that lay under the rice completely over powered the dish. My husband ordered the Scallop and Pork Adobo and couldn't finish the scallops. The end of the meal was nice at least - they offered us a free dessert to celebrate our honeymoon and the lilikoi panna cotta was delicious. It's a coin toss I guess. Nothing we experienced would convince me to go back though.

My wife and I drove down to Nick's to enjoy a fine meal to end our honeymoon stay on Maui before heading to the airport. I'm more of a hole-in-the-wall and food truck person, but I don't think I've ever enjoyed a meal more. We started with drinks and applies at the bar (to get happy hour deals! 5-7. See the menu on their site, but heads up that prices are higher than posted). We then split the fresh catch of the day (which they brought out beautifully plated for each of us), and finished with the strawberry panzini for dessert (completely unnecessary, but way too fun). Not enough can be said about the service. From the bar staff to waiters, we felt very cared for. Mahalo!

Absolutely incredible. We were here with a wedding party, and the staff went above and beyond to make the evening really special. The waitstaff was attentive, and had lots of fun napkin and tray tricks up their sleeves. The food was excellent, cooked perfectly, and their drink menu is incredibly varied. We had an amazing evening in this beautiful hotel, and we would absolutely recommend Nick's for any large parties.

We went here by recommendation from our hotel for the oysters on the half shelf. They are topped with ahi tuna. 5 stars for the oysters even though they are pricey ( $28 for 6). However, this was by far the WORST meal and most expensive we have had in Maui. SO DISAPPOINTED. I ordered the Scallops and Pork with adobe sauce and the scallops were too chewy and the pork belly wasn t edible. My husband had the Mahi Mahi and that was mediocre at best. A positive thing was that the service was great. The waiter offered to take my meal back and they brought out a dessert for my birthday. Another thing is to AVOID the photographer unless you want to pay $20 for the photo, but I m sure you could get it for $10. Not to mention it CHEAPENS the overall experience. I do have to say that the hotel grounds by the ocean are beautiful. But for the same price, an even more beautiful hotel, and exceptional service you can get much higher quality meals at the Four Seasons next door.

Excellent food and service in an outdoor setting. A recommended vacation location but it is very expensive so not great value for the money but a wonderful setting not found in many places worldwide.

Outstanding food and great service. Unsurprisingly, given the name, the fish was delicious. The big surprise though was that the vegetarian dish my wife ordered was also amazingly good! Often high end restaurants do great meat dishes and crappy vegetarian, so it was a great change of pace for us to both leave completely satisfied with our meals. Thanks for knowing how to spice and cook vegetables Nick's!

I had a spiritual experience eating the scallops with pork belly, risotto, and bok choy. The fresh market oysters were also notably good. But the service was the best of all - Jason and Dave rocked the bar and kept it truly 5 stars. Go see them.

Good food (but nowhere near gourmet) in disappointingly basic setting but with very good service. However, more expensive than the best restaurants in Maui, and therefore absolutely no value for money. A complete rip-off. Definitely not recommended.

The Valentine's day dinner was so very special. The seafood and beef were the best that we had while in Maui. Our compliments to the chef! The service was excellent as well. The evening was complete with flaming strawberries prepared skillfully by Beau. Mahalo!

I am not one to usually jump on google and right a review but the service experience at this restaurant is most certainly below a fine dining standard.
I booked this restaurant to celebrate my wife s birthday on our first trip to Maui . It was based on the recommendation of our hotel s concierge desk.
The only person who acknowledged the occasion was the hostess at the entrance , the server was late, did not provide any details on the specials, was rushing to other busier and larger tables and missed our last order of coffee and espresso.
When the food was served , it was not presented to us as it is customary in any other fine dining restaurant.
Our experience at this hotel has been nothing but exceptional so it would be unfair to them if I don t point out how bad this restaurant is for the reputation of a brand/hotel like Fairmont

My family had reserved a table at Nick s, a few weeks in advance and were only offered a table in the noisiest bar area and the hostess was very rude and non accommodating, we have been going to Nick s for over 20 years and will not go back, there are plenty of fine restaurants in Maui that will take our money.
