Rooms not very large, but comfortably furnished. The room has a cordless kettle, coffee, tea. A free bus runs from the hotel to the center. You can also take a ferry to Central Station. Breakfast varied and tasty.

So I stay at this hotel a few times a week, and I had wrote a review that gave them 3 stars, but as of my last stay, I think that is to generous. First off the area is pretty nice and has really come a long way with shops and restaurants that are easy to walk to. The hotel has a shuttle that will take you down to the city. The rooms are for the most part clean and tidy. However this hotel has the worst staff I have ever encountered at a hotel, they are extremely rude and unhelpful, if you ask for the smallest thing they act like it's an inconvenience for them. I asked for a fork from the resturant and the lady gave me a dirty look, said no and walked turned away. They have absolutely no concept of customer service or hospitality they never smile or act friendly. They pretty much act like they hate the guests and it's super annoying because my company puts us here so I dont have a choice, but if I ever came on vacation here I would never stay at this hotel, spend more money and stay somewhere that the staff acts like they are in the service industry.
I have not stayed at this hotel and will not promise it again
A great place in the north of Amsterdam, easy access and free parking. Service at the front desk mega polite, give a lot of information to new tourists. spacious rooms with a huge bed, bathroom, and dressing room (small refrigerator and safe in the wardrobe). The hotel has a free shuttle bus that will take you to a small port for a second crossing (4 minutes drive or 15 min walk) of the canal to get to the central station of Amsterdam, where you will start your sightseeing. The ferry is, of course, free. Breakfast very tasty in buffet style. I recommend it to everyone! :)
The hotel is good but somewhat removed from the center. The good thing is that it has a free bus that leaves every 15 minutes to the central station (where the other NH hotel is). It has parking of cars and bicycles. Good breakfast. They speak Spanish

It's fine. The area is nice and pretty quiet. The elevator doesn't work on the other side of the building so for rooms 250-260,, 350-360,,450-460 you have to walk your luggage up two flights of stairs or down two flights. The elevator has been broken for quite some time.

There is a shuttle going every 20 minutes from 9am to 12 midnight. You will be dropped off and picked up at Amsterdam Central Station at Kiss & Ride spot near the water. Close to Sixt rental car office.
Very clean rooms, and great location. The free ferry to Central Station is within walking distance, and close by is the Holland Experience, which I highly recommend. Nice staff, clean rooms, hood location, and reasonable rates...what else can you ask for!

Stayed four nights and enjoyed.
Free shuttle bus to the center and back, going during the day. You can also walk to the ferry and ferry ride is free (dont need a ticket. When coming to the hotel first time you, use ferry that goes place starting with letter B).
Bed, shower, iron equipments, wifi, tv, hairdryer, safe deposit (free), bathtub etc. everything was good. There was also empy minibar that you can use as a
small refrigerator. Room was clean, quiet and air-conditioned. Room also did have window that you can open.
Near hotel has supermarkets (better than at center). You can see red brick tower wich is little bit crooked, walk there and you will find markets.
Staff was helpful and friendly.
After Problems with booking .... contacted NH ... Got Martijn on the phone ... Martijn helped me perfectly so for your Martijn 5 Stars !!!! ... And now it comes to check in questions asked about room service regarding breakfast in the room ... employee could not answer me ... I went to the room ... came across a card about breakfast ... "Enter your choice and hang it outside for 0200 the door handle ... no sooner said than done ... 0600 the card was still hanging on the door..I call the reception ... can you pass on what you want? pick up, card picked up by employee ... breakfast received in the room, VERY DISAPPOINTING! Includes: casino slices cheese, chicken fillet, butter, fried egg, fruit, yogurt, tea! Where were the croissants, hard rolls, sweet pastries,
salt pepper! sweet toppings! For the amount I could as well have gone for Van der Valk! No repeat for me at NH!

It was a wonderful hotel to stay in Amsterdam for a weekend. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious even though we could only eat this in the room. We got an update of the room for free and had a great view and a balcony!

The welcome by the staff the clean rooms. We arrived on Wednesday, August 5 and stayed for 2 nights. There is a bus to CS, and you can go back there as well. The drivers of the vans are also very friendly. The restaurant was run by Sebastiaan, and he makes sure you won't go wanting. Slept well, breakfast was extensive and delicious. Conviviality at its best!

Absolutely love this place. There is a farmer's market outside the front door every day except Sunday. There is lots of shopping across the street. They have a free shuttle to the downtown area, but there is also a ferry within walking distance. The room was comfortable and there was a mini fridge. Very quiet, nice area.
Much better! Their Wifi has been upgraded since the last time i stayed there, which was a year ago. The staff is also much nicer.

I have been there so many times. It's like home. Rooms are modern, Wi-Fi works well enough for streaming. They have Schnitzel at the Bar. Food and shops near by. Shuttle to downtown. Take a bike tour with one of their bikes.

Location is a bit far from Central and room is a bit small. The morning breakfast buffet is a bit boring. However, the little Cafe stall make some wonderful sandwiches and coffee.
Hotel not really in the center in a quiet area. the center can be reached by a free shuttle made available to the hotel, by bus in 5 minutes or after a 10-minute walk with the boat that crosses the canal in front of the central station. Excellent rooms and good breakfast certainly a good solution when you do not find a place in the center.
The outside looks terrible. Much better on the inside.
Heater in room didn't work. Coffee pot a layer of mold in the bottom. Got a portable heater from housekeeping and they gave me a clean coffee pot. Hope things are better my next stay.
Nice hotel not very far from Amsterdam Central Station. Nice view from top floors. Like in most European hotels, they have automated the whole process of check in and check out. Other than desk staff and bell boy you will find the lobbies empty. Breakfast at the basement restaurant is nice
To reach the hotel, one can take a slaughterweg ferry from near Amsterdam Central Station. Across the canal the hotel is a pleasant 10 minute walk.
Stark and minimal. No restaurant. Shuttle to downtown is on demand and last shuttle to leave downtown is 8:30pm. Located near open supermarkets to buy food. Good security and loaner bikes

Classic Dutch staff, very nice and courteous, absolutely responding to extra requests and made an extreme effort to get everything up and running so that it suits the guest.
The reception was very warm and friendly. Recommendations Taxis and the like were immediately implemented and made available.
A parking space is available in the yard of the house and is also protected by a gate that closes after driving in.
Parking in Amsterdamm is really difficult, so kudos at this point.
Breakfast was very good and also shortly after the breakfast was nice and accommodating.
Gladly again at any time.
Price was really cheap for Amsterdam standards.

Arrived here for a 4 night stay. The room was averagely clean (some nut shells were on the floor by the table, which was no problem to us but could ve seriously affected someone with allergies). I definitely agree with the other reviews that talk about the coldness from the staff - I didn t feel that warmly welcomed, and everyone seemed generally disinterested. We had booked a room online that looked nothing like what was advertised in the photos; this is misleading. In addition we had specifically requested an extra bed in the room, which was not there and we had to wait several hours for it (it was 1am!)
The shuttles to Centraal station were consistent throughout our stay, but on the last day, which happened to be the sunniest and most lovely, we had arranged for some time to see a museum and have breakfast before our train home. We waited for the shuttle for about an hour before going to reception and being told it broke down - if this happens, it is YOUR responsibility to let your customers know rather than us having to go find you. A lot of people were late for their trains and we were unable to go to the museum or have a nice breakfast - had to grab some quick disgusting fast food instead. Last day was ruined by lack of communication and interest from staff. Real shame. Also, why is there no toilet brush in the rooms?
Very basic rooms, wifi is mediocre, descent exercise room. There is an express cafe, bar, and restaurant on property. there is a shuttle to take you to the city center that runs every 30 min. Customer service is always exceptional.

Not exactly the epitome of an excellent hotel, but the NH Noord is pretty good overall. Located just a ferry ride away from Centraal its close enough to everything you might need. That's pretty much all you'd need anyways!

What makes a GREAT stay? Its people! I am a crew member and was extremely ill on a recent stay in this property. Their staff was the reason why I was able to recover and work my return trip!
The room was very comfortable and although I honestly did not enjoy the area, I will forever be grateful to the genuine hospitality, warmth, kindness and caring I received at the NH Noord. Kudos to the staff there - this is just one reason why anyone searching for accommodations should choose this hotel!
I give the staff 10 stars. They are amazing even while working with a tired hotel. Lobby was just renovated and it looks great but question why they wouldn't change all the carpet on the lobby level in the common areas. Carpet by the vending machines/coffee room is way past due for changing.
There is a wild variation in size of rooms and housekeeping isn't consistent.
King Henry bar has improved recently to the point where I'll stop in every once in a while.
Bus service to downtown is very good.
There is a market on Wednesdays, Friday's, and Saturdays that is nice to stroll.
Many small restaurants nearby. New shopping center with not one but two grocery stores is within a 3 minute walk.
