First of all, the people at the front desk were very nice, helpful and informative when we asked about places to eat! I felt extremely safe in the apartment! The room, 1 bedroom apartment, for 5 days, was very clean, smelled nice and very welcoming when we entered! They had the lights on and the TV on and room temp was perfect! We cooked in a few nights! Everything was so clean, stove, oven, etc! Perfect location to all museums, metro, restaurants and grocery store, all within walking distance! The entire area around the apartment had well lit streets and very clean! Some homeless people, but we were never bothered or afraid! The only gripe we had was the parking, they had a guarded parking garage, well lit, but neglected to tell us before hand it would cost $35.00 each night! But that worked out fine! I recommend this place to couples and families! The garden rooftop was absolutely beautiful and relaxing! My next stay in DC will definetly be at the Neuseum Residence! From 2 very happy, satisfied customers! It was well priced also! Thank you tons from a very picky customer!!! Happy New Year!

I would like to say that our short stay at Newseum was more than pleasant. Front of the house made us feel like family. 306 held our bags upon early check in, then again after check out so we could do our thing before leaving for home. Don't hesitate to go here. We will most certainly be back. Longer stay next time.

We stayed 10 days. We know the area very well as we have been residing in Penn Quarter for 4 years. The area deserves, it is very clean and is very close to the Mall (that expanse of green lawn that leads from Capitol Hill to the Lincoln Monument, overlooked by the Smithsonian Museums and several monuments). The apartment was spacious, clean and sufficiently equipped even if a little dated. Unfortunately the workers of the construction site opposite start the day very early and forced us to stay up early due to the noise.

They discriminate and make up policies as they go along to fit whatever situation they are in. Need a new property manager. Bradley is not a good fit. Lots of prostitutes come through the doors for the high profile residents and management covers up wrongful acts, like residents getting molested by other residents when passed out after community events.

Except, Davelyn Miller, the people of front desk is good. But Davelyn Miller is rude and impolited. I've never been treated so badly even paying a fortune to stay some days. I don`t recomed stay there.

The Newseum Residence is not a good place for short-term sublets. We did not have a good experience with management, not because management was impolite, but rather they were poor communicators and unprofessional.

Our sublet fell through after months of waiting for our living arrangements to be processed. Unsure of whether management was intentionally dragging their feet, or if they completely forgot about our applications.

After sending the Newseum Residences our housing applications and paying for the housing application fees in February 2016, I drove out from the Midwest to see the unit. I visited the apartment because I was under the impression that our applications would be processed and approved within a reasonable period of time. I met with management, discussed the living arrangement, and everything seemed settled. In mid-April of 2016, a little more than two weeks before our move-in date, we received an email from management saying that they were struggling to open our housing applications (though they told us over the phone a month earlier they were being reviewed).

Because the process was taking too long, the resident through which the sublet was arranged cancelled a little over a week before we planned to move to DC. To make us feel better, management explained they would reimburse our $150 application fee (two people, each $75). Management never contacted us again about it. Eventually I had to press management about returning our unused $150. We didn't receive it until 5 months later.

For the price the Newseum Residence is asking for, we were expecting a lot more professionalism and responsiveness. We would have been better off if they had told us residences are not built to accommodate pre-arranged subletting arrangements -- in the few months it took them to "process" the applications, we could have looked elsewhere.

First, I am a former resident of Newseum residences and now stay there when I travel on business. Ms. Davlyn MIller, now retired, was the most professional and accomodating person on staff. I saw staff come and go but Ms. D, (a term of endearment) was a solid addition whom I was sad to see go.
Newseum residences are ridiculousy pristine, however, paying premium dollar does not mean you have personal concierge service. From the gym, to the breakfast bagels once a month, to the gorgeous view I enjoyed on their 3rd floor while watching the snowflakes fall to the ground and enjoying my dinner, to their very well equiped business center. PERFECTION
This place is not for everyone but Newseum has housed many business professionals, both short timers or long time residences as well as former staff members of the White House Administration. Oftentimes, either our POTUS or VP or other exevutive WH staff selected this place to hold interviews.
As a tourist, you must try at least once. It is a perfect way to experience D.C. As a government employee, it is a perfect walk to any of the gov. buildings.
I would also like to assert that in my time there, I NEVER witness nor notices illicet behavior in our building.

Just had a tour w Roz. She was so nice and patient. The concierge was very nice and welcoming as well which I noticed in my recent apartment hunt is a rarity. At the very least I can tell the staff here is fabulous.

Absolutely love living here. Everyone is incredibly friendly, the staff are incredibly helpful and the location is the best! Easy access to metro, Capital One Arena, and several restaurants and bars.

We moved in a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier. All of the concierge staff have been great and they seem to have worked here quite a while. Roz is the best! She is very friendly, professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and is awesome with my dog. :) Sometimes my dog still gets a little confused when we leave the apartment, but when we say, "Let's go see Roz!" she runs to the door. JahVon in leasing answered all of our questions before moving in and maintanence, has been on top of any minor changes like clipping in a blind track to replacing light bulbs. We love the location, the bright apartments, the apartments have been pretty quiet, they do a great job managing our many packages, and the current residents have all been welcoming and friendly. We couldn't ask for more. Again, a shout out to Roz! and the rest of the staff. Oh-I also feel very safe
with the front desk-I had a crazy delivery crew try to deliver a table top at midnight! No notice etc. and they would not let them in. I have a feeling they really tried to push her to open the door. :( Thank You!

I haven t yet toured this community, but it looks beautiful online. Today, it knowing that the leasing office was closed, my boyfriend and I tried to stop in for a tour. We were greeted by the rudest concierge I have ever met! She kept trying to cut us off every time we had a question, saying things like We aren t the museum and Can t you read the hours on the door? Which, to be fair, was a valid point, but I feel like a little customer service would have been nice. Maybe we ll try going back but honestly this was a very off-putting experience.

Living at the Newseum Residences was a wonderful experience! The staff are ultimately professional and friendly, very responsive and eager to meet your every need. The conveniences are amazing - from package delivery to dry cleaning service. And the amenities are wonderful - from the breathtaking rooftop deck that overlooks Capitol Hill to the Luxury Lounge that can be used by you and your guests. Both amenities can be reserved for your business or personal events and parties as well. I loved living here and if I hadn't gotten engaged and move to Virginia I would still be living there.

My husband and I celebrated our one year anniversary in D.C. during the week of July 4th and stayed at the Newsuem Residence. We absolutely loved our apartment. Located near the National Mall and the Capitol, it was ideally located for us. The staff of the Newsuem Residence was phoneomial especially Rosilyn Isiocha. She was very knowledgeable and answered all of our inquiries with such professionalism yet personable. I was unaware that you had to have tickets for the firework show from the penthouse, which is one of the best places to see the show from, helped my husband and I get those tickets. Also, she was nice enough to show me where the nearest ATM was. My husband and I had a fantastic time and will definitely be staying at the Newsuem Residence again. My one and only disappointment was the bed in our apartment, it was too hard and uncomfortable.

Booked this as "hotel stay" for 3 days/nights in Washington D.C.
Locationwise it's good, it's close to alot of stores/restaurants/bars/touriststuff.
The appartment looked very clean and neat at first sight, but was dirty when you looked abit more, the ventilation on bath had mold on it!! Some of the door knobs was lose/not screwd properly in place, same goes for electrical sockets. The shower was aswell kinda poor.
Would not recommend to use this as an hotell for short time stay. Positive to have washingmachine and drier for clothes. Staff was friendly and helpful.
In a safe neighbourhood, felt safe and comfortable around there. Roofterrace is cool.
