We booked Overwater Villa for our 10th Wedding Anniversary and I must say It was worth It. The overall experience is extraordinary. The Villa is huge with all luxurious facilities. It has a big drawing room, a compatible dining Area, very big master bed room with a very comfortable bed. Bathroom is fab equipped with Jaccuzzi.
They have staircases which directly goes in to the ocean makes it super easy for snorkelling. However I would advise you to get your own snorkelling gear as the resort is not providing the gear free.
There are 3 restaurants within Bandos
1.) Huvan
2.) Sea Breeze
3.) And a Japanese Restaurant called UMI YAK

Small island 10min from the airport by speed boat,accommodation is various small joined huts the size,position and quality dependant on how much you pay,very clean with great service,swimming pool was good but the highlight is the fantastic beaches,warm sea,and beautiful fish swimming around,the only negative was the very expensive excursions, drinks and food prices.

Beautiful island, medium size. Densely planted with greenery. Not far from Male, 10 minutes by boat. A beautiful house reef inhabited by reef sharks, sea turtles and small stingrays. On the island there are many Flying forests.

Quite big island. You can enjoy active stay on maldives. Food is avarage. There is lot of small trees so there is lot of moskitos. Island is close to Male, but dont be afraid we wasnt interup by boats or planes.

Beautiful place. Well managed resort. The corals in the reef are unfortunately just as dead as at other formerly beautiful places. Wealth and diversity of marine life are still astonishing in relation to that.

This place is amazing! Not too far from the Airport, just a 25min speed boat ride, it has everything you could ask for. My family and I stayed there for a week and never left the island even once, although we thought we would for some planned trips that the resort offers. Even for snorkeling they have a great spot off the beach that made it fantastic for us and our kids to just jump in anytime, snorkel and then swim back too the beach. They got a dive centre where you book lessons or buy gear etc etc,.. 2 to 3 restaurant's, you can enjoy, and evening events like a live band etc etc.. It was a complete happy place for us... we do plan to be back again sometime soon I hope :)
Indescribably beautiful island with good service and a very relaxing atmosphere. There is a very wide range of activities such as diving (at the house reef or on tours to certain reefs), tennis, football, batminton auf (on well-developed courses with high-quality equipment) but also surfing and banana boating and many more offered. There is a good restaurant with buffet in the main restaurant and three themed restaurants. There are several pools and a large spa area. All in all the 10 days on Bandos were a dream and we will miss the dives and drinks during the sunset. Definitely recommendable!

We went all inclusive so we really didnt have to worrie about the food. Just need to make sure we were at the resturant at the specific times. Occosionally the kids didnt eat during the all inclusive times... the staff where very good any they helped to take somthing away. Even if you didnt there is an our of hours lunch for kids which is inclusive.
Diving was absolutely fantastic! The snorkelling was amazing too! Its about $19 per day for renting the equipment! There are alot of black tip sharks!!!! BUT DON'T BE AFRAID THEY ARE NOT DANGEROUS! alot of amazing fish to see.

The pool is great and they have a kids section.
The have a clinic there however its $50 just to see a dr to perform a diagnosis and then extra $ for meds.

One of the best private islands in Maldives...worth the money..Get fullboard or half board plan,if not food might be bit expensive... friendly staff.. two feets in to the water and you will be seeing so many types of fishes and corals.. I enjoyed the stay in the resort to the maximum....

We had an amazing vacation at Bandos island. It's just 10 min speed boat ride from the airport, which costed just $250 for my entire family. The island has white sand, crystal clear water and good snorkeling facility. Moreover we really enjoyed the delicious food they served. The hotel staffs are helpful and friendly.
Of ten. About 15 minutes by boat from the airport. Staff very nice and professional. The reef is full of marine diversity: turtles, parrot fish, crossbow titan, surgeons, stripes, clownfish, angelfish, pufferfish, flute fish reef shark black and white tip, etc, etc ..... .After dinner advise stroll through the illuminated paths there are beautiful places with the sky full of stars. The food has improved since my last stay in 2018. Rooms with correct and clean service.

Nice facility, easy to reach by boat. You can easily circle the island.
Staff very friendly.
Nice, big and clean room. Despite cheapest category, top location, most beautiful side of the island, most beautiful beach, top reef and hardly any other guests. Young blacktip reef sharks swim around the beach all day long.
The trip to the Manta Races was awesome. Near to reach... :)
Since we had some time, we made a stop on a sandbank. So if anyone has the chance, use them !!!

My husband had planned this trip as a surprise gift for me as for my birthday and we had stayed there for 3 nights and enjoyed the trip as dream destination. The property is surprisingly awesome with superb facilities (list is very big with almost 25-30 items). Pool, restaurant, spa, baby sitting, fitness center, crystal clear beach with white sand, buffet breakfast, superb rooms, excellent staff, multilingual staff, concierge, kids playing area, jacuzzi, wifi, bar etc..... etc. all are at their superlative best. We did our actual honeymoon here after 4 yrs of marriage. Awesome gift from my beloved husband. Big Thanks to Anirban and Bandos.

Perfect place for a one day trip or longer stay
Excellent resort, loved it! We took the all inclusive package and it worked well. We also went on the Whale Shark expedition, but we did not find the sharks, so I would not recommend this excursion, lost a day on the beautiful island.
Very expensive place staff are not helpful at all and very bad customer service room is clean no music and party so you fell boarding to stay more than 3 days, i will never recommend this place to any one.

One of the nearest resort to Velana International Airport. Had a 2 night stay bungalow house stay (with Jacuzzi) here on halfboard (i.e. breakfast and dinner inclusive).
Bungalow house:
Fantastic 2 storey house with an open air bathroom and comes with attached Jacuzzi. Very clean place and they provide complimentary water X2 bottles a day and coffee and tea bags.
Amenities:
Everything is chargeable at a outrageously high price. The cheapest is the snorkelling gear with fins rental at 16USD before taxes a day..... You will find many different activities and water sports here.
Beach:
Many comfortable sun chairs and hammock all around the island for use.
House reef:
Pretty decent with a good variety of marine life (blacktip reef sharks, stingrays etc).
Kudos for serving water in glass bottles and not using plastic bags in room bins.
Amazing resort to get away from it all!!! I think it s also important to point out that this resort also serves alcohol, some are not allowed in the Maldives. So totally worth adding to your package!!! They have amazing excursions and amenities also. There is also an amazing reef around part of the island that you can snorkel.
