I went there for family/personal counseling. There was one councilor I actually liked, (Georgina) but then she quit. The other counselors weren t very understanding towards me and my family. That s why we re never coming back. I wouldn t recommend this place to any other families or individuals seeking mental health counseling.

Yeah I was placed here and at first I was very happy and greatful to be there. But something happened with a staff member to me, and it seem that they didn't really care about it, yeah they fired him but that was it. So you see that's the reason I can't stand this place. I was abused as a child by my father and others from the age of 7-10 no one would ever help me so I ran away until I got away, mental, sexual, physical abuse is something I ended up going threw my whole life so that's my reason. Other than that happening it was a great place!

About Sacramento Children's Home

Sacramento Children's Home: Providing High-Quality Care to Vulnerable Children and Families Since 1867

The Sacramento Children's Home is a non-profit organization that has been serving the Sacramento region since 1867. The organization is committed to providing high-quality care to vulnerable children and families in the community. Over the years, the Sacramento Children's Home has become a trusted resource for families in need, offering a wide range of services designed to meet their unique needs.

One of the primary goals of the Sacramento Children's Home is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or other forms of trauma. The organization offers residential programs that provide round-the-clock care for children who are unable to live with their families due to safety concerns or other issues. These programs are staffed by trained professionals who work closely with each child to help them heal from past traumas and develop healthy coping skills.

In addition to its residential programs, the Sacramento Children's Home also offers a variety of community-based services designed to support families in need. These services include counseling, case management, parenting classes, and more. By working directly with families in their homes and communities, the organization is able to address underlying issues that may be contributing to family stress or instability.

Another important aspect of the Sacramento Children's Home's work is its focus on education and prevention. The organization offers a number of programs designed specifically for at-risk youth, including after-school tutoring programs and job training initiatives. By providing these resources early on in life, the Sacramento Children's Home aims to help young people build strong foundations for success as they grow into adulthood.

Overall, there are many reasons why so many families turn to the Sacramento Children's Home when they need help navigating difficult situations. With its long history of service in the community and its commitment to providing high-quality care at every level, this non-profit organization has earned a reputation as one of California’s most trusted resources for vulnerable children and families.
