My husband and I have just bought a used Skoda Octavia from Lookers Skoda in Newcastle. The whole process was absolutely painless. I want to thank the lovely salesman Michael Mountford for being extremely friendly yet very professional. He answered all of my questions and exceeded my expectations. Michael could not have done anything more for us. On the day of handover Michael took me through all of the relevant documents, I asked many many questions and at no point did he make me feel like I was being a bother, nothing was too much trouble. I asked if I could say thank you to his boss Tom, but he was not in that day. So next best thing, google review... Thanks again Michael, loving the new car already and it will be perfect for pulling our new caravan..

Service completed within 2.25 hrs of dropping my car(Yeti auto) off. Car was lovely and clean inside and out. Very concise explanation of what work the mechanic did. Floor, seat and driving wheel all protected, which was removed as the car was handed over to me. All done for the price we agreed prior to the commencement of any work.
Well pleased, will recommend and will be back for my mot in April!

Had a problem with an aspect of a service. The problem was sorted out promptly and efficiency.
The mark of a good service company is the ability to satisfactorily conclude problems.

Great experience at Skoda, Newcastle. Finding out I no longer qualified for a motability car, after 24 years, I found myself with very limited time to find a new car before surrendering the car I had. I explained my situation to Kevin Fawcett and the result is just 2 weeks later I have a car I'm extremely happy with. The customer service Kevin provided was spot on. What could have been a difficult situation was made so easy with the service provided. Many thanks!

Worst sale rep ever. He might as well of had I hate my job shoot me written across his head. He didn't greet me or even introduce himself. He said he would show me the inside and outside of a car but only showed me the outside. The whole point of my visit was a test drive which was arranged days earlier and they didn't even have a car for so they waisted my time. Won't be bothering with them

I bought my last car here and the sales staff were wonderful and helpful throughout. I had a couple of teething issues with my car and the service staff again were great.

Salesman was ok but seemed more focused on what was going on around him than us.

Poor Service from management on car price for part exchange. Never go back again

Sold a car with 3 year free servicing to find out that's a pile of rubbish and I should have paper work to back what I said up .. sorry I've not bought a brand new car before I didn't know exactly what papers I needed but when it comes to getting a new car I wouldn't dare waste me time signing up to contracts of bull thanks for the waxa

Good customer service, not too pricey for a dealership.

My huaband and son bought a Skoda fabia in June for my son and I to share. The service from Jonathan was extremely good and he found us a good car, although I did have a few scratches which he promised to send out some paint, which never arrived. The car was promised to us as a deal with two free yearly services, which have never arrived. I spoke to Jonathan and his boss about the sale and not receiving the two yearly services who assured me we would receive them no later than the end of July, yet we are still waiting and I have spoken to the complaints department too. In my field of work I could not promise a client something and not deliver, yet this is what seems to be happening at this sales office lookers to get a sale. All lies and once you ve agreed and signed they don t keep to their promise. Such a shame as the service was good but why all the lies. No one can trust a company that lies and promises then doesn t deliver. Mrs Ingram

Very friendly sales staff and good showroom and Darren sorted the car out that we wanted so a first class service and we will be going back for our next car

Do not buy an "approved" used car from them. I bought a <3 year old Fabia to use as a driving instructor vehicle. The car had a slight rattle on start-up on a cold morning which developed to a serious rattle in the gear-box over the space of 2-3 months.
They said that they did not know what the problem was without taking the gear-box out which I would have to pay for even though my local mechanic was 99% certain that it was a flywheel issue. Even if it was to be found to be a manufacturer fault I was not going to be refunded for the labour cost!
I was offered a full refund for the car, a solution which they know full well that i can't take advantage of due to dual-controls being fitted and time lost for work. I was told that they wouldn't repair the car as it would be too expensive to them!!
All I wanted was for them to put right the fault that I bought the car with but they absolved themselves of any responsibility. Do not trust.

Just been in for pre arranged test drive after discussing my vehicle needs with a sales advisor yesterday. It was obvious the salesman who had been told to liaise with us (as the one we had an appointment with was double booked) could not be bothered to sell me any vehicle, he made no effort or suggestions. Will go somewhere that actually wants to sell me a new vehicle but probably now not a Skoda

Jonny was excellent. I had a very simple need to buy an Octavia for cash. He listened, didn't try and get me to buy products I didn't want. A refreshingly straightforward - and cheerful - experience. You managed the COVID situation well, test drive was easy. I really couldn't fault the experience. Oh and the car is great !

I've been to skoda three time now and every time they have found what I was looking for everytime couldn't fault them

Visited there about March to view vehicles, no vehicle specks as toe ngine size co2 ratings spent about 20 minutes looking no signs of salesmen all sitting inside due too cold to come out .decided to go to Nissan felling spoke to commercial sales who went on his laptop and found a suitable car from skoda arranged to pick it up from railway street for me to test drive next day and I bought it .

Friendly staff but they don t even bother to wash or vacuum your car as advertised in a service and you pay the pricey service but I did get a 50p air freshener this time. Can never get parked in a bay so can only assume they churn through a lot of cars. Only come here because I have to.

Sales staff very knowledgeable (Jarrod & Kevin ) , so was able to discuss my requirements and find the model I wanted. I then had a test drive in a new Scout , we found a 2yr old example in another dealership which was then delivered to Newcastle. The car was bought to my work address so I could test drive . Excellent service , couldn't ask for more.

Bought my first car here. I knew exactly what Fabia I wanted and Kris endeavoured to get me it at exactly the price I wanted it. This was much better than the pushy sales reps I'd encountered elsewhere who tried to sell me more than I was looking for at extortinate prices. Full stars if the delivery from EU had of been quicker by a week or two.

Social distance was observed but unfortunately they didn't have the car i wanted but its a good dealership

I am appalled at the service. We bought a 5 year old Skoda fabia. It was an rush buy and we regret it a lot. The cambelt had not been replaced and it came with a driver seatbelt defect which was not covered by the insurance. I did not expect them to have sold a 5 year old car without following in house recommendations of changing the Cambelt. As a private seller I would have been more transparent and honest than them. They just sent us a letter through the post after purchase recommending us to change it. For the seatbelt, they were unwilling to do anything. Just in complete denial of having seen any problems. I will never buy a car from this dealer again. Very disappointing!

We have bought an Octavia, dealing with Neil. We are more than happy with the car and the service which we received. When we arrived at the showroon to collect the car Neil was busy but we were not left unattended to, we were greeted by another member of staff and invited to sit in the waiting area and served coffee. We found everyone to be proffessional and Neil had an honest approach and did not put any pressure on us at all to buy the car. We would recommend this dealership and will look to buy our next car from them

I have bought two new cars from them - a Fabia in 2006 and a Yeti in 2012. I have always found them basically competent and honest.

I got a new Skoda Superb from here and the the salesman ( Kevin) was very helpful . The show room was very clean and bright .Overall a great experience.

Just purchased car off Darren Sidney, in and out in about 30 minutes! No fannying about, everything explained and great service. A credit to the business.

Phoned this garage to see about the new Octavia Was cut off 3 times no one wanted to take my call I will be buying the new Octavia from another garage now. Just called Pullmans very helpful will now deal with them

Do not buy from here I seen one of the workers moving a Skoda fabia MK3 that was for sale. He revved the hell out of the engine then proceed to do a handbrake turn in it

You would think you are a ghost when i went into the showroom not friendly at all webt to look at a vauxhall insignia deceided to go to bristol street motors scotswood rd in the end. Problem is these big companies there no opposition now bad for consumers

Took my car in for a warranty claim inspection with the have developing rust 8 years into a 12 year corrosion warranty, I was told up to 12 weeks to here the outcome 5 month later I have not heard from them.

Absolutely amazing garage I can't fault them in the slightest. I am very new to buying cars and I went to a previous garage that really let me down. I came away with an absolutely stunning orange mini I couldn't be happier with. I'd definitely go here again.

Great helpful team. Ultimately ended up buying elsewhere as they couldn't beat an alternative quote but I enjoyed dealing with the team there and they were very helpful and prompt replying to questions and clarifications.

My only negative is that the price offered on Autotrader wasn't the same as the final offered price.

The staff were all friendly and pleasant. On visiting Lookers I knew what I wanted and Kris found me a Scout though not the colour I was looking for but he showed me a similar car on the forecourt of the colour he could find. The whole process was very pleasant and pain free from start to finish. Take a big thank you.

Don't use Lookers Skoda Newcastle. Especially there rubbish skoda Mechanic TOM. Giving wrong information to customers. I have 1 year warranty after 7 months having the vehicle there was fault in the car so i contacted Lookers, they said I have warranty and made an appt to see them. After taking a day off work they said they will check only to be told they cant deal with this vehicle (E250 Merc).
Although they had all information they still refused to check and on top i was told to pay for the service with a local dealer, although the warranty is suppose to cover.

When i knewly got the vehicle under 28 days i took the car back as there was a problem. From Manchester to Newcastle in terrible weather conditions. i travelled and was told fuel cost will be paid which it wasnt. Kept the car for 5hours after havinf the car reviewing it he didnt do anything, only to call me back to say to take it back, he doesn't deal with Mercedes-Benz cars.

I've been taking my Skoda here for servicing for the past five years. Never had any problems with the staff or the servicing. They even fixed a punctured tyre for free one day when I was caught short!

They're happy to distill down the technical details into a simple explanation of what does and doesn't need to be done, staff are friendly and happy to help, and when something goes wrong (once had a faulty water pump installed after a cam belt change) they'll go above and beyond to fix it.

The sales team were friendly and informative, the walk round video was very good. Probably would have bought this vehicle but my wife didn't want to travel from northern Ireland to Newcastle to see the car.

Great communication skills by gemma even though the part was out of stock at skoda , she kept me fully imformed with what was happening . this was very much appreciated and i got my car back very quick considering the extra pressure every one is under in these difficult times

Bought a used Vauxhall Corsa from here which had been part-exchanged by a customer. Superb service, friendly and knowledgeable staff went out of their way to get the car ready quickly for me. Nothing was too much trouble. Superb aftercare too. Would certainly buy another car from there in future. Highly recommended.

Walked into the car sales department when I had ordered something from parts. Despite not knowing this the Manager treated me with utmost respect as a customer and went over to collect the item partly because of having two children in tow! Would I consider coming back? With service like that from start to finish...I think you know the answer it starts with a Y! (Yes!) Thank you for great customer service.
