I purchased a SQ5 from this dealership.

I purchased a SQ5 from this dealership.
I had prompt communication and assurances prior to the sale that some existing damage to the rims and dings would be fixed and that the roof racks would be removed with the keys given to myself, with delivery of the vehicle to happen a week later.

Once the contract was signed, I could barely get a hold of them. My phone calls, emails and text messages were ignored. When I was finally informed 6 weeks later that the car was ready, I travelled up from Sydney to collect it only to find that none of the agreed work had been completed. I'm completely dumbfounded as to what happened over those 6 weeks given no work was done.

Before I took collection of the car, I was told that I would be reimbursed for these errors. It has now been 3 weeks and the dealer is still avoiding me.

I've purchased multiple BMW and Audi brand cars over the years and never encountered this level of unprofessional behaviour.

Terrible car servicing. Not a shadow on the service I receive in Sydney for the same cost.

Go independent in Newcastle, or get it done in Sydney when you visit for the day. Consider it free parking... You'll even get driven and picked up in a Q7 in Sydney...

I recently had a small issue with my phone charging within my audi, I rang and spoke to Simon. He promptly got my car in, Sorted the issue and had me on my way in 25mins. I Could not be happier with Simon and the rest of the service team.

Awful experience with Audi Newcastle team once you sign ,won t listen to your concerns , haven t noticed the broken headlights before signing the contract,noticed just after handover but Audi delivered the car with broken headlights , As per Audi once sold it s not their responsibility,it s your problem now .

A relative of mine had a poor experience with Audi Newcastle. A very dishonest trick was played on them with the new car they received. Make sure you get every offer and conversation in writing. Would expect more when paying a premium for a luxury car.

Does delivering a car with an unwanted sunroof ring a bell? Then telling the customer to "take it home and see if you like it" and when it was returned the next day to exchange for one without a sunroof you wouldn't take it back.
You just put some tint on it for them... You should be able to do better than that.. Maybe a few years of free servicing or something.

Sounds like there are a few disgruntled customers.

Unfortunately, not a very good place for employment for me. I was set to start on a Thursday, with no knowledge of around the dealership, where vehicles were to be picked up, stored, and delivered to.. when i questioned on certain tasks i was told to do, i was critised, and sometimes yelled at by the general sales manager. I was there for a week and a half, until i was asked to leave as i was 'asking too many questions'. Honestly, the dealership as a whole is a great place, however, the head sales manager needs to be retrained, and taught how to help a new employee get into the role, and be some what understanding.

I turned up about lunchtime on a warm day looking for a specific car. I wandered around outside in the heat for a while looking for the car. I looked in others while I was there.

No one from sales approached me while I was there. I went to the workshop to see if the car was in there.

I found out what I needed to know from a nice mechanic sweating in his hot workshop.

I went up the road to the second hand lot and found the vehicle I d been searching for. Did most of what I needed to do apart from sit in the vehicle as it was hard up against a pole with the drivers door. No one was around there either.

As I left some dude turned up with his lunch.

3 stars for self service and the assistance of a mechanic. 2 stars lost based on the sales team.

Can't leave zero stars. Picked up my new Q7 530pm Friday September 18th. 30 minutes later I was broken down on the side of the road with electrical system failure. Battery completely dead. Audi assist arranged tow truck to return my car to them. They received the car on the following Monday. I got a call to tell me the fault was with the MHEV and it would be replaced and ready by Thursday. Friday they called to say they replaced it but the problem remained and now needed an alternator. Would be ready Tuesday, today. I called to find out if it's ready only to be told now it will be Thursday. So if it is ready, the first two weeks of ownership of my new Q7 has been spent in the service centre. I am extremely disappointed and angry. I am regretting the purchase and have zero confidence with the car now. In any other industry the faulty product would be replaced on the spot. But for some reason we are expected to be without our product whilst they guess what the fault is by trial and error. Meanwhile I still have to pay the finance company for something I don't have.

The staff were outstanding in their service and dealings, Our experience from the time we walked into the showroom to the time we picked up the vehicle was professional and showed a willingness to understand what we were after and to work with us to help make it happen.

So much so that a few days after picking up the vehicle I callled and spoke to each person to thank them personally.

I cannot praise Mick and the sales team at Audi Centre Newcastle highly enough. I was trading my car for a second-hand car the centre was selling, and MIck ensured that all work which he knew would need to be done, was done, before I bought the car. For the simple reason that he knew it would come up and he valued both the dealership's reputation, and my customer experience. Who knew that car salesmen could be this great? Seriously? Well done to a team which takes its reputation seriously and made what could be an arduous process, into a far, far less stressful experience.

Paid $51k for second hand Q5 sold it back to them as I had a job transfer overseas received $27k
The sales manager was fantastic but the company was bought out my a monopoly that doesn t have any morals

The 5 stars I would have given for the initial sale is way diminished due to being ripped off
My advice is beware !

Been advised this is the norm and I should have done more research
