One of the worst experiences....Waited 7 hrs just to be seen by someone in the labor and delivery department! Once I was seen by triage I then had to wait an additional 5 hours to get a bed. Once admitted 2-3 hrs would go by without a nurse or dr to come check on me. All this while being a high risk pregnancy. I will NEVER come back, and wouldn t suggest it to anyone!!

Per my primary doctor's recommendation, I made an appointment with Dr. Andy Y. Huang. I had tons of results in my hand and thought I wouldn't understand most of the medical terms. In short, I was nervous.
But thanks to Dr. Andy Huang as he simplified the complexity by well-reasoned examples and logical facts. He took the time to fully explain the situation and give further instructions accordingly. For that, I'm grateful.

My father has been admitted to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital twice in the past month and a half. Being a nurse myself, I must say that the care was excellent in the emergency department and on Infil 7 unit. I deeply appreciate the effort, the care, the dedication and professionalism of every single staff member at Methodist I understand that people may have different experiences and different circumstances. I also understand that staffing shortages impact the delivery of optimal care to patients. However, the amazing dedication of the staff makes up for these shortcomings. I give the ED department and Infil 7 ten stars.

Hi. My best experience is my mother. The a tend in the emergency room in second. For me it is the best in hospital. The health staff is the most tempted or prejudiced. I fall short of what I think of the Methodist More

I was born in this dog mess dungeon we're suppose to call a Hospital. My girl was admitted into this hospital for 2 weeks high on morphine until we decided to take her to Mt. Sinai in the city where she was helped & cared for the 1st night she got admitted. Methodist didn't help at all & was only making the situation worst. Mt. Sinai detected the problem & reversed it instantly. Methodist is definitely one of the worst hospitals in Brooklyn, NY.

I am currently having a similar experience to josie perez. I arrived at the emergency room at 1045 am. Was seen for the first time at 1130, gave me a cup for urine sample. 1230 took some blood. 130 nurse comes in a puts in a line to prep for IV meds... doc comes in not too long after and says the nurse misunderstood. Nurse comes back and gives me actual shot. It is almost 3 pm and i am still here. It has taken them 4 hours to collect a urine sample, blood sample, one incorrect iv line shot and one correct shot. Horrible.

Eye pain, toe pain toothache aren't life threatening emergencies, however thise who need to be seen asap will be seen. No energency room is the fastest when people's health are being evaluated, however bad experiences from nurses and doctors make it bad for the rest. My sister gave birth here twice great experience, ive been there as well the waitwait was long however i prepared for it. Overall its a great hospital.

I was hospitalized recently and will be going back for a procedure. The care i received was excellent. I would like to stay with Methodist, however, I am looking for a great primary care physician. Any recommendations?

Horrible service !!!! No one told me I was going to be seeing different residents at the start of my pregnancy because this is a clinic a learning center . I wish I was told because I would have found a private doctor that was affiliated with the hospital myself . I come 15 mins late and I m told I would have to reschedule for an appt that is 1 hour away waiting time but I ve came several times on time and I wait 2/3 hours to be seen for 15 minutes . It s ridiculous and they need to get it together idc how good the hospital is for delivering babies the service I receive before is what matters the most . All clients are important learn how to make them feel as such . !!!

Terrible billing practices. I paid my co pay and my insurance covered the bill except for $215 which they failed to inform me about. I only found out about this today from a bill collection agency. Instead of letting their patients know about remaining balances they would much rather screw you over and send it over to collection agencies.

Worst emergency room ever its unbelievable how they can leave you on the chair for 7 hours with a crazy pain i went there I couldn t even stay in the chair they said wait the nurse will call which never happened i ask them 3 times whats going on they just scream at me i left and went to another emergency also that night i saw a kid he came with bleeding in his head he waited there for more than 1 hour i cant belive how disgusting and rude people are there the nurse came and screamed at me you have to wait its better to die than to go there

Imagine you find yourself in the emergency room with your one year old. Now imagine the most heartless, unfeeling, rude and disrespectful staff of nurses on hand to make you feel ignored and helpless. The nurse manger named Shireese literally ignored me while I stood in front of her for five minutes. Like I was invisible and not a concerned parent of a sick child. How do people behave this way? Is everyone here miserable? What happened to common decency among human beings??

The worst experience in labor and delivery, beginning in triage. I have had 2 of 2 deliveries at Methodist and the 2nd was worse than the 1st. NYP is NOT a patient-centered hospital. My heart is still bitter from my experiences which I will never get to re-do.

My wife gave birth here, and it wasn't bad. Yes they lack a little on the picking up the tray after food and cleaning the room more than once a day, but other than that, great service. Helpful and friendly staff. Good place.

Terrible experience. I was packed and an emergency. Had us wait for cat scan and in the end sent home. Next day pain continues I went to another hospital and I had an infection found through a urinalysis

I had a terrible experience in the ER! They let my IV run dry. I was there for hours without seeing anyone-nurse or Dr. my daughter had to help 2 women to the bathroom because there was no one to help them. Now I get a bill from a COLLECTION agency! I NEvER got a bill from the hospital-I have no idea if they even filed my insurance. This place is a joke! If I could leave negative stars I would!

i recently had my son there, over all it wasn't so bad. they made me wait 31 hours, and 50 min before i opt-in for a c-section. i'm fully healed and it's only been 16 days since i had it. the wait time for simple responses, were very long. but i don't expect them to cater to one patient. its a large hospital, and people are being moved around all the time... overall i approve.

Labor and delivery on the forth floor .

Labor and delivery on the forth floor .
Professional patient, considerate , and thoughtful. The nurses pay attention to fine details . The pediatrician who spoke to my daughter about her fears of Vitamin K shot, compromised and provided her with vitamin K drops. If I can give them 10 stars I would. This hospital is the best

This is my go-to hospital, and it has the best doctors and staff, the best available equipment, the best food, and many more bests. I've been coming to Methodist hospital since 1994. I've found that the best hospital in Brooklyn always continues to constantly improve upon itself.

I use to love this ER! Can someone please respond and let me know if they have changed management? I went a month to take my daughter due to her ear hurting her, they misdiagnosis my daughter the head doctor provided her a antibiotic which was not necessary and called it a night! As I'm waiting for my discharged papers that took forever to be handed out, I waited Outside the triage room I saw nurses or medical assistance twerking and dancing!!! How professional can you be? There are sick children in the er with parents who haven't had sleep or rest, that's not the place to act like you're in a club. I felt as my child was just another claim to be submitted to the insurance, I wish the doctor there tried their best to find out what was wrong With daughter just as hard as the billers try their best to get paid for service!! I work for the NY state of health and I was certainly not satisfied I was highly disappointed!

Thank YOU for saving my life! During this summer time I faced a very difficult life threatening situation. After several hospitals I ended up in the Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. I met nurturing and professional staff who cared about me on a personal level, Dr. Kozlovsky and Dr. Trakhtenberg, nurses. I may not remember everyones names, but everyone in Unit 8, has cared for me like their own relative. I remember nurse Sergei, and I am grateful to him. The meal staff cared about whether I ate and enjoyed their food. Other specialists did their job in the best possible way. Thank you so much! Happy New Year!
