New York City Dept of Finance Review

I paid my bill on there online site, but the numbers and dates do not correspond. Terrible service.

Ticket was given in a poorly signed no parking zone (by a park -- why?) to my and a whole line of other cars who were clearly not aware of the city's parking trap. Appeals system supported the parking scam despite the sign being damaged and bent 90 degrees and not findable even with the standard "walk a whole block to make sure I'm obeying all the conflicting and hidden parking signs" hunt. Perhaps not surprisingly, the system is automatically deferential to the NYPD. Dexter Eng and other ALJs serve day-to-day to make people's lives worse and to create work for everyone so that he and the city can make a few cheap dollars. Might not be their fault, but the place is a con and not worth your time.

THESE TRAFFIC AGENT THAT GIVE OUT FALSE TRAFFIC TICKET, IT IS VERY NICE TO LAUGH NOW POOR PEOPLE ARE PRAYING ON YOUR SOULS YOU WILL HAVE TO BURN IN HELL.

So i had someone duplicate my out of state license plate that does not belong to me now. I received over 6 parking and stop light violations. Ive never been to NYC and definitely dont plan on changing that now.. ive talked to several people and have been trying to get the correct paper work. All I can say is yall suck. Very unprofessional and all yall want is money.

Worst experience ever!!! I had a 10:40 am appointment this morning to replace my ID NYC I went with all my documents (same ones I took last year to get a new one ) And this girl didn't even give me the time to explain myself about having lost my previous id , I already filed a complaint to 311 because this was by far the worst customer service ever !! I asked when does her boss walk in so I can speak to him she said 2pm , like are you kidding me ? I had a 10:30 am app what am I supposed to do for 3 hours ? Hang around and wait , while you can simply help me. I don't know what the issue was I brought it all documentation. Can Management please talk to your staff about customer service we just came to take out an id it's not a big deal. if you don't like your job then quit !!! ( This lady was young, black and with a shaved haircut. ) 1 star for customer service if I can give zero I would !!!!

Terrible at responding to your ticket responses. I had to write two letters to get one response. One was regular mail and later was certified mail.

Along with the other frustrated and dissatisfied citizens, I would like to offer Zero stars if I could. This place is horrible. The tellers there are rude and won t even give you a chance to explain your story before jumping down your throat to tell you that you and your information are wrong. I went in to make a payment. The ladies were rude and incompetent. One had to keep asking another for help and the other was just very nasty and rude. You think with all that attitude my paperwork would have been processed correctly....WRONG!! Once I finally got everything situated I had to call the boot people (third party) myself, several times only for them to keep telling me that the people at This business center didn t fill out anything properly on there end and I still have a balance. My day was a waste. I don t think that as a tax paying citizen that I should get treated the way I did and have to have missed work to go through a 7hr run around to get this whole issue situated.

If you're trying to get your NYC ID card, don't go during lunch hours. They are never there. I've rescheduled numerous times for various reasons: people weren't there; on lunch break; documents that were confirmed online wasn't enough in-person.

Visited the Department of Finance recently, and customer service on the 1st Floor was great!, also on the 9th Floor. Waiting time wasn't that long neither.

From employee staff and judges they have attitude problems real unprofessional when they talk to customers

This is an alarming situation for tax payers! I am in total shock of what I saw and experienced in my first and last visit to this place. This should not be part of NYC. This is a disgrace to our city. I contacted the Mayor of NYC Mr. De Blasio office regarding what happened today which I hope not to happen to any human being call this great city home. This place should be put under scrutiny and all employees must go through extensive work training. I call on any public and elected officials, community leaders and activists to support change the situation in the office. Brooklyn needs respectful and decent service.

The women giving numbers when coming in to fight a ticket has no patience or respect makes rude comments as if admonishing people is part her job

For people who apply idNYC, you need to wait for more than one hour even though you have an appointment.

If I listened to all the negative reviews that was left I wouldn t have gone but I did ! Was in and out within 10 mins max, very helpful representatives and my tickets were dismissed. All $300 worth of them . Make sure you have proof like pic and videos . Good luck .

If you're there for the NYC ID it doesn't matter how empty the place look. You're going to be waiting for so long because it's very very slow. The communication is not the worst ever but wait time (with appointment!) Is ridiculous!

Busy don't go there when your in a rush. Take a number sit down and wait until your called and they will help.

They are so under staffed. And rude customer service. They are already low on staff but the staff keep taking stupid breaks ever 5 mins . Stupid!!

Went to fight parking ticket ni Judges available and no info on When judes coming in om site. And online not in system for 3 weeks unable to fight ticket online.

This entire organization is a disgusting scam made for no other reason other than to steal people s money. They are NOT concerned for pedestrians safety, all they care about is trying to rip hard earned money out of the hands of innocent people.

They are very fast! In and out ..Only time you may have to wait is if your are paying your ticket.maybe 20 mins but if you are fighting a ticket. In and out!

After my great experience today at the NYC ID office I feel that I have to leave my positive review, they were so polite and helpful, it just took me about 20 minutes. Probably because I pay and fill the application online, I bring everything that they asked for, and well I am a polite person I think everything counts.

I mean i was there to pay tickets and pick up paperwork..i mean the hassle to go to this flr just to pay and then take the receipt to go up to get a stamp to go back downstairs to wait again to show the stamp to get a number to wait again to get my receipt to go to another flr to get a copy of the number i need to call in 3 days for license plate verification to just come back a week later to pick up this letter but forgot my car title paper or whatever..that i need to bring in and only me can pick up after showing proof of ID and my car title for the DMV..like wth. And im being robbed $1000 and the least you a**holes can do is smile and not be rude. But you chose that job ..do it with pride. And fake it til u make it. Thats all

It is located in Brooklyn. Service is good, quick, not on time but not too much delayed. Security screening before entrance. Public communication is good, many buses and Metro tech Station in walking distance. Everybody knows their jobs, so there is nothing to be harassment. Sitting and waiting area is big.

On 9th floor and 1st flr have valid license not suspended, Make sure registration is renewed or you'll need to head to the dmv fix your problems there and return...

Stay positive caues this place is full of anxiety and depression and its very sad i watch a man breakdown in tears....No staff cared they just wanted money smh

I work for access a ride and my job is after drop the customer off I have to help them because they need help , but I got ticket for that and the lady judges room 38 pleaded guilty because I was helping an old lady , what a shame no respect what so ever , and because of that not gonna help my passengers anymore . Also she will get old one day I hope there will be a day when nobody will help her (I mean the judge)
