The main disappointment begins from below points:
1. Why your management team allowed the more number of guest inside Banquet function room then it holds? Guests need to eat by standing taking plate on their own hand.
2. There were no foods left in chafing dish as it need to be refilled as soon as foods get finished.
3. There were not cutlers and plates at the moment.

Because of this issue I rated you 1 star. I added one star for your quick response.

The facilities and the staff are really good. Just that the room I was in, looked a bit run down with old furniture and room was as clean as expected from 5-star hotel.

It was nice experience being there and i enjoyed every bitof thing. Love to go there

One of best and central location hotel in Kathmandu.

I live in KTM, so I have not been in the rooms for a while, but I can comment on the rest of the hotel: this place is almost a KTM institution - a rock-solid dependable enterprise that has been improving as of late. For example, the health club has new management as of last year, and a new chef was added this month (the old one retired). Yak and Yeti is a classy (and classic) KTM hotel lacking one modern convenience - free wifi in the lobby and pool area for non-room guests; they had it, but for some reason pulled the service - hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Large halls that can be divided into smallers ones as per your need. Spacious lobby, staircase and corridors with a nice ambience. Perfect fir fienal dinners and conferences.

Food was really disgusting. Got confused whether they were 5 star hotel

The experience so far in my 3rd day isn't good. Every morning the hotel staff opens my room when I have placed do not disturb sign at the door. Also making it worse is, my room is right outside the staff room. 7-9am they'll chat out loud and disturb my rest.

I was satisfied with my over all stay in this hotel. However, I am giving 1 star because of what I encountered on 2nd day of my stay here. There was a man in a suit and old lady with him talking out loud to some young employees there. Not quite sure, whether those young kids were trainee or beginner but I was shocked to hear the tone and their attitude towards their employee. They need to learn how to respect each other and work in harmony.
The service was satisfying and I enjoyed the food, definitely! One of the reason why I chose to visit Nepal again!
I wish them good luck with the future!

I just arrived in yak and yeti hotel in Kathmandu. I heard this hotel name and a landmark for reputed services , but my experience is just opposit <br/>I booked business class suit and hotel offers complementary pickup service. They sent indigo brokencar for 3 people in which luggage could not fit. They advised to rent a taxi to hotel. When we reached hotel there was no welcome. Then later the hotel staff asked us to pay for the taxi rent. <br/>Poor service. Will not recommend. Regretful decision. Let see , I ll give more reviews for my stay experience after next 2 days. <br/>

This is an old hotel, it was the residence of the king. Endoit very wide, with a very professional staff, accessible by wheelchair. Instalation a little old.

Never stayed here but have been to a lot of events here .... the place has a gorgeous architecture.. old building is supped to be an old palace .. it's a 5 star hotel so obviously it's high priced

It was my collage event at this place .
I liked the place pretty much. They have good hospitality with good parking facilities.

Th hotel has its charm but needs some renovation. Our room 412 at the Shangri-La club had a musty smell from all the moisture. Our dclothes were completes impregnated for that smell in less than 12 hours in the room. We didn't dare to open the window due to the number of pigeons and pigeon droppings in the small veranda

Its a big hotel in a posh area. Royal Casino is just beside the hotel. Lot of shops and restaurants near by the hotel. But shops are expensive compare to Thamel area. Standard rooms are not that good. Furniture and Bathroom fittings need renovation. Good buffet breakfast for all tastes (Asian and western). People in the Front desk and reception are very helpful.
