Decent place to be in Kathmandu. Their staff was very courteous.

What can I say other than.... Thanks a million to this incredible hotel with it's brilliant staff!!! From the friendly service at the piano bar to the way in which the catering and events team went out of their way to make everything work well (for the event that I was part of organising). 11/10 in every aspect - chimney restaurant is also a must with its terrace overlooking the garden.

This hotel is good and management. Only the rooms all very old furniture and bed and carpets all and every where specifically in room bad smell is there.
Balance management and staff are helping and cooperative understanding.

This one of the best known hotels in Kathmandu. Service is good and location too. However it needs to renovate the bathrooms and carpets. The surroundings, garden at the back, breakfast restaurant all are great. For a hotel of this price I expected toothbrush, toothpaste, comb etc but there was none. Good fun because there are many souvenir stores, restaurants, casinos and money changers around.

Free WiFi is not good and limited to only 1 hand set.

If you book a room for 1 person and you bring your wife or partner they will charge you $13 per night.

Fabulous service

Heritage style modern hotel located in the center of Kathmandu near former Royal Palace. Hotel has all modern facilities including multiple restaurants, pool and gym, Event halls, Casino and shopping.

Hey i hate the security guy there.Yea, he was doing his job.I had a small meeting in the evening at around 9:00 pm.It was kinda raining outside so i wore a men sandal not to damage my shoe. I was trying to enter the premises and the guy who stays in the gate says to me that i am not allowed to enter the Hotel with my sandal on, i have to be wearing a shoe. I was so furious,didn't know what to do. I had a friend with me who was wearing a shoe by the way, went to the reception and talked to the guest and finally i was in.I hate the unprofessional gate keeper who talked to me like that.Hey, by the way i was wearing decent clothes and still looked like as if i was a guest from the hotel.

Don't feel like five star hotel..need improvisation

Last time was there was in 2014. Good experience. Pleasant stay. Love the pipe music to the room. Certainly made environment felt Nepal.

This place was absolutely amazing! It was a true 5 star hotel with amazing service and food. When we arrived, we were just getting off a 12 day trek in the Himalayas and to be greeted at the hotel with fresh beers from the bar and jumping into the pool was a real taste of luxury. The staff are all really nice and helpful. They do money exchanges at the front desk, the massages were excellent, and the food at the restaurant was delicious. I recommend this place to anybody looking for a great stay in Kathmandu.

I visited this hotel on a USEF programme. Looks old from the outside but is amazing on the inside.

It's my second visits here. Good service. Staffs in the Sunrise Restaurant are very welcoming and friendly. Big credits to the house keeping staffs & maintenance team. Spa staffs especially Mr Mukthi with his excellent skills. Thanks for the hospitality.

One of the popular and established ***** hotel in the heart of Kathmandu city. Most of the buildings are renovated of old Durbar of Kathmandu. It has a very good amenities for visitors. Services are quite satisfactory. Food and beverage services are good enough. Foreign Visitors love to stay here during Kathmandu visit. Casino is one of the main attraction of the hotel.

One of the finest and popular 5-star hotels of Nepal. It is centrally located and is easily accessible. The ambience and environment within the hotel premises is very surreal. It has fantastic rooms and suites. Food is amazing and the hospitality is top-notch. Poolside is very enjoyable.

A wonderful hotel on a great location. And with all the necessary amenities what you can expect from a hotel in this price range. While the city can be real crowded and tiring, this hotel is located in a peaceful surroundings with hardly any traffic noise.And it is centrally located so you can walk to the Thamal area. It also has a beautiful garden in the back. Great for a morning strawl or a bit meditation. The rooms are okay, and the staff is wonderful. A lot of groups who go trekking in the mountains stay here. I loved the breakfast. One of the best I have seen in hotels. Food from most all continents. middle east, Asia, local and European. Try the Yak cheese, its great!! ( and for a practical joke; ask for the Yeti cheese? does not exist of course, haha)

Yak and Yeti is one of oldest hotel of Kathmandu city. They have decent rooms and big lawns with pond and ducks. Buffet is quite good. Drinks selection quite impressive. Chimney is fun to be, please try there tomato salad.
