The rates were great our family had a great time, the only thing I would change is the entrance people coming in and out the same small door right into the crowded gift shop but once we were in great time

ANIMAL ABUSE !!!!! Animal abuse at it worse . Anybody reading this review go to YouTube put in natrul bridge zoo abuse . I'm completely discussed. And some of the worker on this video are still working there
ABUSE! Please avoid this zoo at all costs! They abuse their animals and something needs to change! There is plenty of evidence online of these horrible people hitting and throwing around the animals like trash. PLEASE DO NOT GO!
Do NOT give this place your money. They exploit their lone elephant for financial gain. No elephant should live in isolation (as in without other elephants). Please spend your money elsewhere, anywhere that actually cares for its animals.
For the size and location this zoo is great. We had a lot of fun and really enjoyed ourselves. Feeding the parakeets was the funnest part. The birds landed and walked all over us to get to the feeding sticks. It was hot when we went but most animals were still out and active. They all looked to be well taken care of. The staff was friendly and helpful.
We only went because it was across the street from Dinosaur Kingdom II.... The "zoo" was dirty, toilets wouldn't flush and the place stank bad. That was the non-animal complaints... The cages were too small and basically mud. Multiple animals were waaaaaaay overweight including the bears and cougar. The baby Llama was separated into a small petting cage by itself and making crying noises. My kids tried to feed it and all it was doing was yelling and biting the chain that held the gate closed, obsessively. A lady from the USDA showed up while we were looking at the elephant. She was investigating a complaint about an injury that wasn't properly being looked after. The owner of the elephant (some guy with his shirt unbuttoned looking like a creep) was yelling that "they're making a big deal out of nothing! ". USDA didn't look happy about it. I don't know how this place is legally open. I wish I didn't spend my money supporting this place. DON'T GO!
Stop torturing that lonely elephant. It s disgusting elephants need to be with members of their own kind, not isolated giving rides to tourists in the sweltering heat for a few Instagram pics. If this zoo knew anything about animal behavior and health they would understand how cruel her solitary confinement really is. I hope this sleazy establishment gets shut down quickly and poor Asha is released to an elephant sanctuary.
The roadside zoo has been cited for failing to provide animals with veterinary care, failing to store food adequately to keep it free from contamination, failing to provide clean drinking water, failing to maintain enclosures, failing to provide animals with dry enclosures or bedding, failing to clean enclosures, and failing to provide animals with food and water. The owner has been fined multiple times. This is animal cruelty, elephants don't want to walk in endless circles giving rides to humans.
So much fun! Kids loved it! Favorite parts were the giraffes, you get up close and personal feeding them :) and the tigers, but the tigers are always our favorite!
This roadside zoo has been investigated time and time again for animal cruelty. Dead and dying animals. Lack of staff. PLEASE DO NOT VISIT THIS ZOO. HELP CLOSE THETE DOORS. if you need proof. Look at ASPCA footage of this place. It's heartbreaking is all I can say.
Another awesome day at the Zoo!! The animals are well cared for and the petting areas are well maintained! The staff are always cordial and knowledgeable of the animals. Highly recommend this place!
**Note: if you are reading reviews regarding this place, please note that ALOT of the negative ones are from people who haven't been and are 'anti-zoo' people.
All I have to say is come to the zoo and see for yourself first hand. Its obvious that all the bad comments about this zoo are from animal rights activist (who never visited this establishment) who support PeTA and the Humane Society of the United States, you know that organization that airs those commercials that you see about rescuing dogs and cats and you wanna donate to cause you THINK that your donation is going directly to your local animal shelter when its really not...In fact only 1% of your donation goes to helping animals, so you have to ask yourself where does the other 99% go? You should ask them...but make your own judgement, instead of being a puppet.
Enjoyed this place. We fed a lot of animals. Careful with the camels one is the big boss and he will grab your head if he wants to. You can not feed the giraffes nor is there a platform so you could be at eye level worth them. Something I hope they change and add on too. Parakeets will also bite your hands. It just pinches doesn't actually hurt. Make sure to being hand sanitizer and paper towels with you.
Perfect family road trip rest stop. You can bring a picnic lunch, walk around feeding the animals, ride an elephant, then get back on the highway. I highly recommend this zoo for families who are looking to break up a long car ride.
If you like animals AT ALL, please do not go here...these animals are not cared for, and are abused. There are even videos on Youtube taken from the humane society. Don't let your greed for wanting to ride an elephant take the place of doing the right thing. Do some research on how people train these elephants in the first place. Does that elephant look like it wants to do what it is doing? Elephants are one of the most intelligent species on the planet, and they are being abused so your kid can put his butt on it. Please, teach your children to RESPECT animals by not supporting this horrible place. Reseach a sancuary or a zoo that is not privately owned. Only ignorant people go here. Very sad.
The people at this zoo were really great. When I went there it was in hot July. An elderly woman, who was in a wheel chair, had a heat stroke. The zoo keepers ran to this woman's aid. They gave her water and helped her. They saved her life.
There's a reason why this place has such a low rating. People, look up these road side zoos before you go to them. You might learn a thing or two about the way they treat their animals. I'll give you a teeny hint on how they treat these animals, cruelly. To put in terms you might understand, NOT a good place to spend your money, NOT a good place to spend your time in, NOT a place to bring your children and definitely NOT a place to support and praise online when you only see a tiny bit of what really goes on there.
Hot and all cats inside. Paid money to look at empty cages. I should have been told that animals would not been out. Waste of money as the cats were main reason I went.
Free this elephant and end her suffering. Let her go to a sanctuary. This elephant has suffered for 19 years now and it is time for this animal to be FREE/ Animal crime is going on at this ZOO.
We have visited a few times now. The staff is friendly, and my son loves feeding the animals. The elephant ride was great. I would prefer these animals all be back in the wild but a lot of places like this save unwanted exotic pets and give them a place to live out their lives in a safe environment. I almost didn't go the 1st time due to the bad reviews but glad we did!!!
No better than a circus. The owners should be the ones in the cages, brought out only to let other people's children ride around on their backs. There's no place on this earth for this brand of "entertainment." I have zero respect for people who believe animals are here for our amusement, to do with as we please.
Do not visit this place! This is not a learning experience but rather a cruel exhibition of defenseless animals on display. These animals are not well cared for and instead of funding this institution we should be doing everything in our power to ensure these animals are released into a better environment.
Took my granddaughter had a great day staff was so courteous so good for young children lots of hands on experience with the animals baby monkey was great
Anyone who supports this zoo needs to be throat punched, the animals are not cared for, they live in small cages with no room and Asha the elephant has spent her entire life in solitary giving rides to a bunch of brats instead of being with other elephants like she should be! Yes I have been to this zoo and it breaks my heart!
A well run state park. There is a shuttle from the parking to the lower level and back. If you're pushing a stroller or have leg problems definitely take the shuttle. The hike up the creek to the waterfall is a nice stretch of the legs, about a mile and a half. Not much of a waterfall. The path is smooth with sand and gravel. The Indian village was mostly closed. Natural Bridge is impressive.
Fabulous time here at the Natural Bridge Zoo. Great place to see animals we rarely get too see in New England. Great place for families, small children would have a blast. Plenty of places to take a rest and have a bite to eat. I am a lover of elephants and wished that I could have had a ride, but that was not in the cards today, however they will be soon.
Terrible place. Needs to be shutdown. How do people abuse animals like that? They certainly shouldnt be getting paid for it. Should do research before going here.
Please support this zoo. Its a great place to go with kids, out on a date or just to get away for a bit. They try very hard here to keep up with the animals and make them happy. I love this place. Have been going there for years and will continue to do so.
Can't believe this horrible excuse of a business is still open. What you do here is animal abuse! Somebody should lock all of you in a small cage for what you did to all of those creatures. This is exactly why I believe animal zoos should not exist and should instead be replaced by animal sanctuaries with humane people and proper veterinary care. You shouldn't even own a goldfish at this place!
I visited the natural bridge zoo today I did enjoy seeing all the different animals and all the children running around they were doing a Halloween day so the little ones were in costumes going to the different areas and getting candy I feel like the owners and employees work hard to care for the animals and make it an enjoyable experience but some of the areas for the animals needed more care and the giraffes they are so majestic and beautiful it was hard seeing them in their enclosure, no trees for them to eat from it just seemed sad to me I truly appreciate being able to see the different species and to be able to feed some of them but being an animal lover it was hard seeing them all caged up but the families and the children seemed to really have a good time.
On our recent vacation, our two year old had been asking to go to the zoo and see tigers, so we decided to give the Natural Bridge Zoo a shot. I was pleasantly surprised at the overall quality and condition of the zoo. The animals seem to be fairly well provided for, but one of the camels looked rough. All in all, we would visit again. (The two year old forgot all about the tigers once she saw the goats.)
Been several times when passing thru the area. It s not the most up to date zoo, but my grandson really enjoyed it, as well as I did. I don t know anyone who works there and I feel a few of these reviews are just unjustified. If you didn t like it, move on!!
this zoo is just disgusting. i want to mainly point out the elephant in the room. literally, i m talking about the elephant. the elephant here at this zoo has no one to play with, at all. only a tire and that s it. plus, they just abuse it everyday just for entertainment and financial gain. it s just sad to see this happen, especially to a species that s decreasing in population. disgusting.
this is a very good zoo went with my aunt uncle and cousin got my pic with a baby white tiger we had a awesome time we also rode the elephant which was an awesome experience they were very nice employees
Customer service sucked! My family just wanted to get their picture taken with the elephant and the people behind the desk told us it stopped at 3pm. Then the guy suggested that maybe they were still running, but one of the people from our family had to go in and check. He told us that we would still have to pay the $12 entry fee, even though we were just sending my brother in to go check if they were still taking pictures with the elephant. That was very poor customer service on his part. He could have either went to check himself for us or just let my brother in without paying to go look. We had no problem paying after we found that the elephant was still out. Work on customer service please. Other than that, the zoo was very nice and my family enjoyed it.
We went yesterday and the animals were cool but their cages were really small. My house is bigger than some of the cages for them. It was really sad to see. I definitely think it was a waste of money. We wont be going back but will be going to the safari zoo instead next time.
This place is incredible! You can walk for miles and enjoy nature at its best. My dad use to take me here when I was a child. My grandfather a Bishop use to preach at a church not too far from this area; special services. I had a great time with my son; creating memories. Priceless!
This place is the example of what's wrong with people in general. Ashamed I visited this place with my family the things we witnessed within these filthy walls were atrocities to all animals trapped within. Enclosures were filthy puerile was abundant don't subject your family to this.
Asha the elephant needs to be sent to an elephant sanctuary ASAP. Seeing her in person was heartbreaking . Elephants are extremely intelligent social animals who need to be with other elephants or they become very depressed. For 31 YEARS she has been forced to give rides during the summer months and then when she s not doing that she has no stimulation, toys, or shade in her tiny enclosure. She is also made to pose for pictures with tourists while in there. When the zoo is shut down in the winter and she can no longer make the owners money she is in a concrete barn by herself. Please, if you have a soul let this poor elephant live the rest of her life in peace at a sanctuary with other elephants and everything she needs to thrive and be Happy. Shame on anyone who promotes or continues to go to this poor excuse for a zoo . Disgusting
This place is atrocious they are extremely abusive to all there animals. The enclosures are not fit for a something the size of a dog .they have rat infestations. They do things to there animal's that I can't mention because of the horrible nature of it. Please Do Not Go There
I am absolutely disgusted at the experience I had at this zoo. If I could leave less than one star, I would. We were on a class field trip to this zoo (a class for special needs children) and the staff were absolutely horrible to the children. One of the children (elementary age) said the elephant was "dirty" & a staff member had the audacity to snap at him, saying "he isn't dirty, that's the color of his skin, read the freaking information & you'd know that." WHO SPEAKS TO ANY CHILD LIKE THAT? much less a special needs child who isn't able to read well in the first place. Also, the animals were filthy, in tiny cages not even big enough for them to roam around in, and they didn't appear to have water anywhere in their cages (while in 86 degree weather). These animals deserve to be cared for & treated much better, I can't believe this place is a zoo. It's sad that not only the animals are being treated poorly, but the visitors are also treated poorly by the staff as well. A fun/exciting trip to the zoo ended in a sad day of a bunch of children having their feelings hurt & being disappointed. We will absolutely never be returning & we will never recommend this poor excuse of a "zoo" to anyone we know. People need to know what this place is really about. I would be ashamed to work for the Natural Bridge Zoo.
