Well cared for animals and we are also well cared for. Very tasty and good food
And also environmentally friendly. Especially the two cheetas "restaurant" is highly recommended.
Only some dishes on the expensive side.

Artis is, in my opinion, the most beautiful zoo there is in Europe.

Located in the center of Amsterdam, you can both visit the amazing center AND Artis zoo.

So many animals, and new borns.

A MUST on your to-do-list when visiting Amsterdam.

Absolutely spectacular and amazing Zoo. With a lot to show. Everything is kept in very good condition and clean. I really enjoyed the butterfly house, big wild birds and alligators. Definitely a must go place of you travel with kids or not.

2nd best visited place in Amsterdam. The maki's are the best. Improved catering in 'the Serre'. Some construction works going on, so maybe better score next time.

It seems not too big, but it's really big :) So many different spieces are inside. And they seems happy to be there. You can see clearly, zoo keepers are caring about animals. Good place.

I was there in cold weather maybe in winter i like everything but animals look sad and some them places so much dirty

Not very impressed with the size and facilities for the resident animals and you can kind of see the results in the faces and actions of the animals

really enjpued my experience in the zoo, a lion ate my arm lolololol

Artis, wonderful to go! Also with children! We are members, can go there every day if we want. But you also support maintenance for these animals.

The coolest zoo! Very well-groomed and groomed animals, an interesting aquarium, the territory is compact and very picturesque. We got great pleasure.

It is an old city zoo, which is definitely worth a visit. compared to other zoos it is only very small and dated in some places. Artis is modernizing as far as they have the space to do so. the zoo makes very efficient use of the space it has. I also recommend the aquarium. the zoo has a 19th century atmosphere in places, which is nice. you can stay there all day, but it is also possible in 4 hours.

I thought it was like a common zoo but it wasn't. I found monkeys that were out of the cages

Artis is an old Zoo, has its charms but ultimately its just that. An old Zoo. Very limited space for animals and basically does not belong in the 21st century.

Much animal species are there, also the oldest zoo in The Netherlands.

Nice!! But some of the Animals need more Space!! Zoo or no Zoo!! They need more Space!!!!!!

It is very beautiful and well arranged so that people can see all the animals in the zoo.

Nice park with animals. You will note that some stays are very outdated.

A nice old Zoo, with some good and better attractions, than other Zoo s - butterfly s and gorilla s areas! Take your tickets online and your umbrella. If you do not like mice, you ll see plenty of Jerry s mice in every corner of the Zoo. Plan ahead and not in the weekend or vacation time, as it might be quite crowded!

Nice zoo, bigger than it looks. Animals seem happy, they're very vocal but I feel they'd do better with bigger enclosures. Small gift shop and a few places to eat. I especially enjoyed the walkthrough bird area. I think the penguins could definitely do with more water for their welfare. Definitely buy tickets online I'm advance , the lines looked long but because we bought our tickets in advance we went straight in. The aquarium was nice.

Great zoo, even good in the winter as there is so much to do. Would be great for families!

The oldest zoo in the Netherlands. The intention is a lot of lofts and much less as a living environment.

Coziest zoo in the Netherlands. Not the nicest or biggest but super friendly staff, wonderful Park feeling with a touch of history. Perfect for a great part of the day strolling, watching the bugs and enjoying a terrace.

The charming zoo is clean and well maintained and the animals are well cared for and an experience for all ages is highly recommended.

Elephants were confined to a tiny space and the lions didn't have much room to roam, but overall a good variety of animals for the zoo.

The zoo is amazing... Loved the layout and traditional feel. Animals so close and in some cases walking around you! The aquarium is great and so well laid out... So many highlights and no negatives.... Fantastic day!

Nice zoo in Amsterdam. Little monkeys had a bigger cage than three lions... But certainly worth a visit (or two).

Best zoo I've ever been to, in any country. Animals look very well cared for, very clean. The enclosures allow you to get very close to the animals, and there are a huge range of animals to see. The butterfly house is especially beautiful. The toilet facilities are kept very clean, and are plentiful. Refreshments are extremely expensive, but there are lots of places to get food and drink, all of which looked very nice.

Animals looked sad.. :( they were all just sleeping and did not want to be bothered. Wish there were some activities where they interact with zookeepers. Wide variety of animals, but not a great vibe.

Small zoo, but you can see that most animals have been given more space. I thought it was a sympathetic zoo.

Historical place, but due to lack of space not the most beautiful zoo. It certainly still worth a visit.

Nice zoo. The animals look well cared for and the enclosures are large. My son loved it (especially the lion).

Big diversity of animal! I take approximatly 3/4 of a day to visit and enjoy it!

Absolutely worth seeing and large beautiful zoo. But not that cheap at all!
