An exhibition zoo. Everything shows that this is a zoo of the past. Substantial investments are being made to update the accommodation to modern standards, which is by no means a superfluous luxury. The entrance fee is a bit on the high side when I compare it with other Dutch zoos. (price-quality and price-quantity ratios)

Nice zoo, unfortunately many close by covid19 and routes are not very clear. Furthermore, had a very nice day

Super nice park. Enough viewing space. Easy route that you can follow to see everything. Food is tasty and with nice views. Souvenir store was not too bad for me (these are always expensive). Really recommended!

very good place to spend time with the whole family.
many animals, cleanliness and order.
next to the zoo there is also a Micropia museum, a cafe and just a recreation area for children and adults.
As in any zoo, it is advisable to come in the morning :)

I think artis is a nice zoo. It's very cozy. The atmosphere of a city park.

As any place is Amsterdam, the fusion of old & new is inspiring. For such an old zoo, they have the animals well taken care off and in decent confined spaces. The experience is fun and you get to encounter some spots where u are face to face with some creatures.

Only part that was upsetting was outside the food building, people dont look after their waste and trash is all over the floor with careless visitors leaving leftovers, plastic, waste on the tables, pretty disappointing but also makes me wonder if it is because theres not enough trash cans?

Fun experience overall!

Great experience, you can get up close to lots of the animals, and there's a wide variety of creatures to see.

Beautiful - although too small for many animals - park with a long history. It remains fascinating to admire the animal beauty and to learn more about backgrounds.

Honestly the best and biggest zoo I have ever been to! There's zoo animals, an aquarium, butterfly house, vivarium halls we spent around 4 hours in there and I'm sure we probably missed some things as we got lost a few times! Loved every minute of it!

Great tourist and Dutch attraction, thought it was a hefty price, turns out it was far bigger than expected

The layout of the park is okay but I don't think the animals look happy and the lofts are too small

Very nice zoo, we were very disappointed that a lot of animals were sleeping and that the coat of especially the camels looked very bad.

Fewer animal species than 10 years ago. No bears, tigers, number of bird species. Hippopotamus gone. So I can continue for a while.

Artis is a beautiful zoo, with exhibits well built! The elephant enclosure is quite impressive! It might not have the variety of other zoos( don t get me wrong there are a lot of animals) but you leave feeling content and satisfied, and quality of life for the animals is definitely better than variety. What I absolutely loved is this building where you enter and there are tiny monkeys( Pygmy marmosets I think?) roaming about, free, no cages, sloths, bats and shrews. You get the feeling you are actually walking in the animals natural habitat and they are all around you, and you can get pretty decent shots, especially of the marmosets, which are extremely cute! If you have time in Amsterdam definitely visit artis!

It is a beautiful zoo very expensive and they take good care of the animals but it remains very sad for the animals

Very good museum and art galleries in the centre of Amsterdam. Has temporary exhibitions such as the feces experience.
Next to the zoo which is very good for small children.

Beautiful zoo, unfortunately sometimes really too small lofts, no longer of this time. Too bad you can't just eat normally. You cannot drink organic cola and orange juice, and if you are vegan, you cannot eat anything, there is milk in everything. And if you then try to be so responsible with your organic products (and backward prices) then why are disposable sticks for coffee and plastic straws for soft drinks ... Too bad ...

Very nice place for families needs a little 3 hours

If you feel like going to a clean, well maintained and beautiful zoo, this is the place for you. The animals are healthy and vital, the enclosures are very modern with many possibilities to admire the respective animals. The small parks and green spaces invite you for a short stop. The enclosure with the panthers was the highlight for me. The aquarium is very nice and many other attractions as well

Very nicely kept and appropriate to the species, only recommended to everyone.

Fun activity for kids. Not all the animals were there. You don t feel like the animals are prisoned in cages like other zoos we ve been to. Well maintained and clean :)

Probably not the best period. Nice zoo, but if you have seen others well organized could be disappointed.

This is a classic zoological park. The animal houses are well thought out, not over crowded. The birds in the houses and outside are allowed to fly free. Don't freak if you are meet by storks all over the place. If you are looking for Busch Gardens this is not it. This is a real zoo.

A little expensive to enter, but felt justified with the exhibitions and facilities of the park. Quite a learning environment overall. Would definitely return!

Great zoo in the heart of Amsterdam. Arm yourself with good footwear since there is a lot to walk. Animals kept well with ad hoc recreated habitats. Worth a visit for the tropical area. Accessible by tram. Ticket valid also for exhibit / experience on viruses and bacteria in the next structure.

Nice zoo. It is a pity that it cannot expand due to the large city that surrounds it. The parking area is quite small and the restaurant prices very high.

Nice zoo and through the bank giro cheap ticket! Blijdorp is a further development of a zoo and remains a favorite but Artis is certainly fun!

Some animals (especially the lions) have too small cages, other smaller animals live pretty freely

With a subscription you discover every time something new like today the small mammals house.

Nice park in the middle of the city of Amsterdam. Easily accessible and parking for 15.00. Many different animals and a nice aquarium. The insect building is also funny and diverse. One point for improvement is making a map at the entrance easier to access. But via the internet you can download 1 on your phone so it works great.

Must visit Artis Zoo. A variety of animals, birds, and even insects. Amazing presentation. Clean and organized. Staff is professional. I recommend you to visit.

Little information about walking routes and toilet facilities

Very busy with noisy school children. Checkout staff still have to practice but Artis is always nice to be there.

A lot of animals were not outside a pity. Furthermore, a beautifully landscaped park with special indoor areas.

Always hadn't been fun for years. Old "stuff" wasn't recommended anymore ... it costs a lot !!
