This is totally unbelievable. It's a total scam!! There is a charge for the power --then there is a charge for the power line-- then there is a charge for the power to come into your home. This is ridiculous!! And the water-- you are charged for water usage --sewage usage and stormwater whatever!! (A flat fee that could increase depending on the storm water for the month) BS!! They're still not done with you. There is a Common Area water fee and then a Common Area electric fee . This should be against the law!! They deserve a number less than zero . If you are looking for an apartment complex and you hear of Nationwide Energy Partners (NEP) don't do it.

I have lived in VWP for over a year, at first all I did was battle with NEP about my electric and water bills. I understand they're a 3rd party and are trying to make money just like every other company. I have experienced horrible customer service as well as great customer service with them. I have also flipped out on a supervisor because I was so frustrated with my bill. They replaced my electric meter about 2 months ago and my bill has went down tremendously, I appreciate them for doing that. I think we should be allowed to participate in the AEP green program. They give out energy efficient light bulbs to their customers. NEP gets their electric from AEP, definitely something for them to look into. Overall I'm happy with them.

Extremely overpriced. Our apartment isn't huge and we carefully watch to turn off utilities when we aren't using them and it's almost impossible to keep our utility bill under $200 a month. Insane!

If I could leave zero stars I would. BEWARE OF NEP. 3 bedroom apartment is costing us $400 a month in electricity!! 2 working adults and 2 children who go to school, no ones home during the day so why such a high bill? When I used AEP at my other apartments my bill was never even close to this. Pretty sure their good reviews are fake.

WHERE IS THE ZERO STAR BUTTON?!

WHERE IS THE ZERO STAR BUTTON?!
I have been in my apartment since December, 2bdrm/1bath.. our bill has never been below $200 and it is really ridiculous!! My bill for this and last month were both over $300.. HOW?! My last apartment was a 2bdrm/2bath and I never remember my bill being more than $50-80 a month. Even after getting these bills, I cut the AC off, used less water, kept lights off, etc and still no change in my bill. Are you kidding me?

YES! After reading these reviews and seeing them be similar to my situation, I am fed up! Only reason I want to move is because of these ppl! Great apt complex, great area but they deal with a scamming and unprofessional company. I know next time to ask about which company services that particular area so I don't have to deal with these ppl again! Oh and get this, I just called to make some arrangements on my bill and their "closed". Well why does your site say Monday-Friday 8am-6pm?! I need answers!!!!

I enjoy having NEP for my utilities and community charges. It makes it very easy to pay my bill by using auto pay. They respond quickly to questions and concerns. I receive my monthly bill via email and makes it very easy to add to my monthly budget. I ma very satisfied that I have NEP at my apartment and enjoy the auto pay option.

Absolute ridiculous pricing. Unethical business practices. They get a monopoly on apartment buildings and condos and jack up the prices. Small 3 bedroom apartment doesn't cost $300-$400 every month any where else I've lived. I've moved and am relieved I'm finished with NEP.

Insanely high bills. Just because we don't have a choice in our apartment we went through NEP. I donno what kind of deal they strike with apartment communities, but ultimately its a ripoff to the customers

My power has been out twice this month. I called their service line and was on hold for 20 minutes, then answered by someone who doesn't even work for NEP. Their business model is a scam. I would never recommend living in an area that uses NEP for their utilities/billing.

Lived at Olentangy Commons for 4 years in a 700 sq ft one bedroom and I was gone every summer...NEPs Bills would regularly be over $150 for one person who used as little as possible. Total scam company and all the 4/5 star ratings are from people who were bribed with gift cards. I ve heard they re in cahoots with landlords so the landlords can advertise rent as lower but make up the difference with what we are charged from NEP. Make sure the place you re renting doesn t go through NEP!!!

I will not use this service ever again. I will purposely not rent anywhere else that uses this utility company. I have heard of continuous issues with this company from many other customers. Thankfully I haven't had an issue with my bill until now. My bill has always been a fair price my some miracle. I went to take my name off of the service location due to moving out and they told me my old apartment rental company has to do that. If any of you knew Monarch properties you would know they don't answer their phones so good luck to getting ahold of them to get their behinds in gear to get my name taken off of the bill. This makes no sense at all to me. I PAY THE BILL FOR ELECTRICITY NOT the apt building during my residence there!!!!! I want it out of my name. Ridiculous!!! Four days after I turn in my keys and it's still not out of my name!! I will hire an attorney if this continues on another week!!!!

I am not a customer of yours but was considering an apt complex that used you as an utility provider. I was reading the reviews and found one of the reviews where the tenant disputed a paid bill. NEP responded with personal information (which I felt was personal information) and too much information about that persons situation. That is not professional at all. You don't do that, I don't care what business you are in, you don't post personal information about a persons account online for everyone to see. That is extremely unprofessional.

I also don't like the copy and paste responses you give your customers (ie canned responses) its like your not even trying to respond to the customers issue at all.

I suggest to everyone that reads my review is the write your lawmakers (ie senators and congressman, attorney general and more) and have Ohio ban 3rd party utilities. AEP is the only provider we should have in Central Ohio.

This is honestly the worst electric company in Ohio. The bills are extremely high and they can never give a detailed breakdown as to how they charge. I live in a 2bd/2bath by myself, only home at nights and somehow my bills are around $200 every month. There are whole families out here who do not pay that much in electricity. The water they provide is hard and smells like chlorine. Uggh I cannot wait to move, this is just pure robbery!!

Side note: I do not want to chat with your customer service because I have tried that multiple times and no I don t want a gift card for a positive review.

Worst utility company on the planet! Can't wait to move out of Lifestyle Communities to get away from these rip-off artists. Not only do they inflate their charges by including the cost of the outdoor utilities (electric + water) for our community pool and lighting, but their customer service is abysmal. Please go out of business!

This company cannot even bill correctly. Their accounting department is useless and has issued refunds and new charges back and forth since I moved out in AUGUST. They cannot coordinate within their own offices or figure out their customers' account numbers. If given the choice, I would never use this company.

Don't believe the reviews on here. I have HAD to use NEP for the past 2 1/2 years because of my apartment complex rules. They automatically charge your account a minimum $50 per month no matter what your actual bill is. On average our water bill ends up being $83 every month. So I'm using $30ish worth of utilities and paying them the rest.. for what?

My biggest frustration happened today. I paid our bill this month as usual. When paying online I PERSONALLY made the mistake and selected an old account that was saved on my profile. I didn't realize what happened until after the payment was processed. I tried to call in that night but they were already closed. I tried to reverse the payment online but wasn't able to do so either. I call in today to try and get this resolved since they have now charged my account ANOTHER $30 because of a declined payment- that I tried to reverse on the front end. The customer service rep refused to help in any way. I asked her to please review my payments, see that I have never even had a late payment made and to see if her manager could be understanding in all this.

The manager refused and said the charge would stay. This- coming from a company that charges out the you know what already- cannot even assist a long term customer on a ONE TIME error made. I asked multiple times to please let me pay the remaining balance that was declined and removed the extra $30, but no.

So that's my opinion of this origanization. In a time where people are already short on money, this greedy organization cannot even help when a very minuscule mistake is made. Greed. Just straight Greed. \

I have personally had several accounts with Nationwide Energy Partners. Their customer service is always great. They have friendly, understanding, supportive, empathic people that truly want to serve their clients. When asked about my experience with NEP I am always ready to give credit where credit is due. Thank you for hiring good people, and please continue to do so. The people are what make the difference.

Ty did an amazing job, she was very patient and explained all my charges to me in great detail and she was extremely understanding and very helpful and walked me through how to set up all my accounts under one email and she tried to explain why my bill is much higher now in an apartment versus a house and she didn't just blow me off like other reps did when I asked about my bill, she is the best customer service rep I have ever dealt with at NEP and she deserves a raise, excellent job and more people need to take note and be as helpful as she was, great job Ty

I received the best customer service from this company upon moving into my new apartment.

I had read previous reviews and was afraid of what I d get. I called the company prior to moving in to see what rates would be like. The gal who answered was the kindest CSR I ve ever spoken with. She gave me the usage history and I was able to accurately budget!

Don t get discouraged by the other reviews the bill includes: Electric, Water, and Fees associated with the Complex.

Billing is responsibly priced with other vendors such as AEP.

Terrible customer service, and prices are outrageous-not sure how they meter the water and electricity but my bill is high every month. I live in a one bedroom suite I work in the am, and part time evenings not sure how my bill is $100.00 a month. The properties they service are beautiful but they are ripping you-us off with the utilities. Do your research if the building has Nationwide Enery Partners as the utilities providers....keep looking. They have several lawsuits for over charging customers. The property managers and staff will not admit the issue so beware. I gave 1 star because 0 wasn't available.

Please be aware NEP's costs are very high. You will pay significantly more than if you were to have another provider. NEP merely passes on AEP utilities and adds an additional mark-up. NEP has been the subject of several lawsuits. It may benefit you to look into this before committing to a place with NEP service.

I'd closed my previous bank account without realizing it would affect my electric bill autopay. I called Nationwide Energy Partners &:
-- My time waiting to talk to someone was minimal
-- They were open on a national holiday
--They didn't assess me a fine for my autopay not going through the first time, since it was drawn from a debit card, not directly from my checking account (I guess that makes a difference)
-- AND Whitney, the woman who helped me, was awesome! Super helpful, attentive and kind, and she got everything I needed done much more quickly than I'd anticipated. Thanks so much!

Avoid if you can, this is by a wide margin the most expensive utilities you could get and I've lived in different locations. Even with just using 1 light at night and washing dishes/showering, my utilities are always $100+. I don't even turn on the AC or Heat except for maybe a few nights a month. Really wish I had looked up the utility company before signing an apartment lease. Furthermore, the high price doesn't reflect in the quality. Water is extremely hard and leaves residue on the dishes I wash and the clothes.

Updated after 7 months, it gets worse during the winter months. Utilities exceed $200 consistently, just reiterating to avoid doing business with this company.

Do NOT do business with them unless you are stuck with them like me.

Nationwide energy partners scheme to resell energy at inflated rates would be illegal in most states. Prices are significantly higher than buying on the market but it doesn t matter for them because they only have captive customers in nationwide properties. PUCO needs to regulate this predatory behavior

The "support" staff is not at all helpful. At one point, I changed bank accounts, entered the new information in my NEP profile a full month before the next billing, and they ran the charge through the OLD bank account. THEN they tried to charge me a fine. I'm not a fan, but in the complex where I live there is no other option.
