Easy to pay online with automatic pay and monthly email alerts
All transactions with Nationwide Energy Partners have been positive!
The customer service reps are always pleasant and helpful!
It's an energy provider. They supply energy to your house and you pay the bill. That's about it.
Whenever I've called they are very helpful and easy to get a hold of. Really easy to work with!
Easy payment method on their online portal with a breakdown of costs so you know exactly what you re paying for. I have never experienced an issue with Nationwide Energy Partners.
It's outrageous that NEP is now bribing people with gift cards to leave positive reviews of their borderline fraudulent service. It really tells you a lot about their ethics and business model when they resort to bribes to paint a falsely positive picture of themselves on Google reviews. Don't be fooled! I can't wait for the day I no longer live in a complex that is part of the NEP scam racket.
Easy automatic payments make paying my energy bill so simple and carefree!
The good news is that my utility (electric and water) bill is about the same every month so I can budget. The bad news is that the bill is about the same every month regardless of how much I use these utilities. I travel for work frequently (check my hotel reviews on Google) and my bill is the same if I travel four weeks out of the month or no weeks. Online payment is easy enough with autopay and allows credit card payment without a fee which is convenient.
I would think that there is a conflict of interest with the same ownership between my apartment and my utility company, but this is the only choice in the complex where I live so its really hard to rate one way or the other since there is no alternative, but I've received reliable service and customer service has been fine. Maybe a 3.5 would be the best score.
Great utility company that is easy to get ahold of and has great customer support. Easy to view bill with a breakdown each month. Wish more utility companies operated this way.
The representative was very qualified and confident in her position * She was able to tell me about my bill in detail * She was able to generate a receipt that the internet had failed to do * The classy part of the representative that should ve embarrassed is that she was pleasant to talk to * As a former manager of the second retail corporation in America; this representative should be promoted so others can mirror * She sounds young but when you have great communication skills and the gift of professionalism it doesn t matter * She is supervisor material * Sincerely Mr. Landers 12/20/19
NEP is ok as far as submetering companies go. Submetering SUCKS as it goes against Ohio's deregulation laws and I hope submetering is banned by legislation soon. It's just a shame that LC has decided that submetering is the way to go (FYI NEP is OWNED and operated by Lifestyles Communities). As far as a company I haven't had any significant issues with NEP, their billing is ok, albeit as a submeter you have no choice in your energy provider or rates (ie deregulation). Also of note, NEP recently offered a contest for a $500 prize that includes anyone who reviews their company on google so look at the dates of reviews, anything in the past 2 weeks from this posting was likely a result of their incentive program for reviews.
Will NOT rent from any complex who s services are rendered by this company.. No flexibility, & money hungry. I have the same issue as others, with renting a 590 square ft studio apartment, with utility bill ALways averaging over $100.00 per month, with 1 adult residing, who works 6 days per week. Worst experience ever. F k this company.
The consumer hub on the website isn t great. Unfortunately I am unable to monitor my month to month water & KW usage. So I have no idea what my use is for my bills. But it is nice to set up reoccurring payments.
I made a phone call to NEP and I thought the NEP phone employee seemed easily irritated. I hope this company can improve their customer service soon.
I thought the bills were fair. We have a 1 bedroom and the bills were around 80 a month. I typically keep the AC on all day at 72 degrees. When I called to cancel the account (because we are moving out of state) they were very quick and helpful!
Nationwide Energy is a family oriented Company. Their staff members are very professional, articulate, polite & knowledgeable. They are also respectful and guides their clients towards a positive outcome. I will strongly recommend the company to anyone. Keep it up.
Own the power company for nationwide reality, they charge what they want and never return phone calls, I'm moving far away from these dbags...
It was good and effective. I receive the information very promptly.
I haven't had any issues with them. Bill pay is easy, notification of payment is frequent and rates seem comparable to other places I've lived.
My apartment complex makes us use this horrible company. Electric bills are insane. Over $250 a month and we are hardly home! Can't wait to move just cause of this utility bill, the BBB should look into this company. Scammers.
Once again, as has occurred several times during my tenure as a client of your company, the power is completely out without any notice. This is not attributed to bill payment. On the last occasion, I called and your representative during business hours who stated she was not even aware service had been out for several hours at my location, affecting minimally hundreds of people. I will not be replacing hundreds of dollars of groceries once again. I demand compensation. Further, you have two phone numbers on your official website which herald a 24/7 emergency support team. The first number listed has no option for after hours support. The second phone number listed is completely disconnected - an error message persisting. That is completely unprofessional, and from what volumes have gathered, indicative of your organization. I demand compensation. This is an official notice and will be reflected via other mediums as well, in addition to colluding with other clients. 2-WEEK UPDATE: I left my point of contact, and was never contacted.
Great service. Would love to have option of a budget amount monthly. Love auto pay.
One bill for water and electric is super convenient.
Easy and hassle-free. I did not experience any issues with Nationwide Energy. This is the kind of relationship that you can do the initial set-up, and forget everything beyond the latter due to the ease of each transaction.
I had such a great exsperience with my customer service which is hard to come by with many companies. We got everything on my account fixed and completed within 5 mins. She was both nice and professional. Even made a joke or two. Great job
The reps who have assisted me were very helpful! They even gave me a courtesy call into regards of my bill. This month has been really tough and they relieved a lot of stress from me.
Horribly overpriced. Live in a 1 bedroom apartment and am work most of the day. Our bill exceeds $300 some months.
Easy set up. Good communication on pending payments.
This is the second time i have been with NEP and never had any issues and i think the charges have been right where they should be
The Ohio Supreme Court will hear arguments on May 12 in a case reviewing the PUCO s determination that it lacks jurisdiction to regulate utility resellers such as NEP. Stay tuned.
So easy to work with! Only part of Columbus I will miss
I have had good experience with Nationwide energy partners so far. Their service is really good. The bill they send is accurate and has details outlined clearly. Nothing negative pops up in my mind :-) Keep up the great work!!
**NEVER SEEN PAYING DEPOSITS FOR ELECTRICITY FIRST TIME. WORST PROVIDER EVER**
I have used Green Mountain energy before moving to columbus and they didn't asked any deposit while enrolling. And this NEP asking us to give 150$ deposit or enroll in autopay(without Deposit). We had to forcefully going into Autopay mode every month and this is really disgusting. After reading all reviews its really scary what kind of charges they going to add to my autopay account in future. I would have opted out from this provider but there is no chance and this community(Pines at Tuttle Crossing community) doesn't have any other provider. Hope God helps me in paying this Hefty charges. I want to give zero rating but here its not allowing..
Very easy user friendly online system to make a timely payment.
The support person gave me the exact information that I needed. Somehow I missed getting my bill for February and I remembered the bill was usually due around the 23 of the month so I called support. Support told me what I owed and where to send it too and even provided me with my account number so I could include it on my check. Wonderful! Thanks so much Nationwide Energy!
This prices seem steady but then they increase dramatically. The company would be better if there was a dicount or income driven plan. The customer service is ok. This company twnds to have many outages, at least once every 3 months.
Good company. Easy to pay online. Never had a problem.
Easy to us just that I couldn't create an account it kept saying my information was wrong but i double check it and it was correct.
My experience today was very pleasant very helpful and I appreciate all that she did for me and I pray that everything goes well for her I thank you so much for all the help have a great day
I have a very good experience with Nationwide energy. Never had any issue, no outages and smooth bill payment.
Utility suppliers have a tough job, I'll grant them that. For being a dreaded monthly bill that no one ever looks forward to paying, their customer service is pretty responsive and they will answer any questions you have in detail. However, we are paying an outrageous amount for our electricity and water usage, more than we ever paid in the dead of winter or summer in our 2-bedroom townhouse (we now live in an 850 sq. ft. 2-bed apt) down the road. When we contacted them about it, they sent over a list of things to do to make the apt more energy-friendly, as well as an explanation as to why we're being charged what we are (energy used x # of watts ...) but that didn't explain WHY the energy watt was so much higher than what they were charging at our previous residence. We are still convinced that they're miscalculating our monthly usage, even though they've assured us that they're not ... how would we really know in the end? We have no choice but to pay whatever they say we owe them unless we want our water and electricity turned off. They're not the worst utility company to have to pay each month, but they're definitely not the best, so I give them a middle-of-the-road 3 stars.
Easy process to setup autopay. No issues with service.
Never have any issues with this company. It s through my apartment but it s nice to have everything lumped together. Makes payments easier.
Prices are ridiculous and tenants have no alternatives.$75/month regardless of how much water I use. As a single person, I didn t spend $75 on water in a year prior to moving to an LC property.
Our experience so far has been great! Automatic payments make it super easy! Everyone has been great to work with as well.
What a scam. If I could give them 0 stats I would. My girlfriend and I live in a 1 bed room apartment through the LC. We are hardly ever home with both of us working over 40 hrs a week at hospitals. We program our thermostat to below 60 when we leave for work. Upon being home we take it to 65. Just got hit with a nasty 190 dollar electric bill. I d avoid LC properties since all of them use this joke of a company. Find a place who uses AEP and Columbia gas instead.
One of the better utility companies I have dealt with. The auto-pay option is very convenient and the break down of every bill is nice. The only downfall is how much the prices are jacked up during the winter.
Payment site is easy to use and provides detailed breakdowns of your current and past bills.
So far my experience has been good. It's very be easy to make payments and I get an email from you each month with the amount of payment due.
I was contacted last month with the bribe for a 50 dollar Amazon gift card for a good review. Instead of immediately giving a bad review contacted them and complained about the unsolicited messages and the lack of being able to choose my electricity generation. (Anti consumer choice). They assured me I was off the marketing list and there was nothing they could do about the generation... I was contacted again with the same bribe one month later, you earned your one star review.
The billing process with Nationwide Energy Partners is very efficient. However, the bills are considerable higher than I have experiences elsewhere in the country. My bills here in Columbus also seem to vary greatly from month to month. Some of the variance can be seen as a fluctuation due to seasonal weather patterns, but the change is too great to be assigned only to that cause. Either the unit prices have changed of the system of measurement has changed. I would also like to see Nationwide Energy Partners putting more than lip service toward becoming independent of fossil fuels and more interested in sustainable energies.

very helpful and concerned about our billing issue.
I called NEP and was very stressed out because of my bill and the questions I had regarding it. Jana was very professional and took the time to explain each portion of my bill and helped me set up my auto-pay account. It was evident to me that Jana is an expert and that she truly cares about the customers that NEP has. NEP is lucky to have Jana. Thanks so much, Jana!
I've only used them for 3 months so far within my apartment community, so I don't have much to say. They did help me get my auto pay set up immediately so I wouldn't be charged the fee right off the back, which was very helpful.
Yes, this is in fact a scam that has somehow been permitted to persist in a regulated industry. It is essentially a tax collected by Nationwide Energy Partners that the city of Columbus has allowed. The utilities are the same as others in the area (as they are simply purchased and resold) with no value added, and the residents of Arena Apartments are forced to buy them at a steep mark-up. The rates paid for the utiities are higher than those of Southern California. How is this possible when AEP headquarters are within a few blocks from the Arena Apartments? Stop the madness.
Horrible, awful service provider. The management is out to strictly gauge our wallets. They are a non regulated energy service provider. They over charge, they are relentless in providing bad customer experience under the guise of friendly customer service. I did not know a stage coach ran from hell, apparently the executives who created this company ride in daily to downtown Columbus, OH on this line. Totally awful. D
My first time with this company and so far customer service has been fantastic.
Attempted to call numerous times to obtain new service and was continually on hold for greater than 30 minutes :-(
Always sends bills on exact date, affordable prices, and no surcharges. Great customer service!
Only had 2 issues when I thought I'd paid online but it did not post. There was never anyways to show I had even attempted a payment and late fees were added both times. Signing up for automatic withdrawal solved this issue.
This company is a total scam. I live in one bed room spending most time outside. I work on daytime, sometimes I will not stay for weekends. The bill is incredibly high up to 150. I would give them 0 star.
Service was consistently available, prices are very high and they appear to have a monopoly in some areas. Statements are pretty nice.
I really do not have much to say. No problems with them. Can be frustrating when there is an outage. Not always sure where to go for information about it. Last time was a little better. Sent you to AEP but not able to access it. Can be frustrating.
I have always been very pleased with how the easy and convenient it is to make payments or view my bill.
Absolutely do not live in a place that uses this service, they price gouge pretty hard in comparison to other energy companies, you will need to calculate quite a bit on top of your rent to accommodate for their rates. So if rent seems cheaper it could end up costing you more overall.
They turned my power off and then when I paid the remaining balance on my bill they promised to have it on by 5 that day, the csr never put in a work order and nobody ever came to turn my power back on. Disgraceful.
I got a text saying if I give a positive review I ll be getting a $50 gift card I didn t want no parts of this review but here goes; this electric company is outrageous and their customer service are rude, no payment plans for their customers. I can t wait to move out of the LC
I naively made the mistake of signing a lease for an apartment with a company that uses this intermediary. Never again. NEP will be an immediate deal-breaker for any future rentals.
I use this service because my leasing office forces me to. Today I received two unsolicited requests from them (by email and text) to review them. I am giving them 2 stars for having the audacity to ask, especially by text.
Please take this as a learning opportunity and never solicit good reviews from your customers again.
Pay your bill on time and you'll have no issues. I've used NEP for a year and never once had a problem with their services. I can't comment on customer service because I've never had to use it.
Nationwide Energy Partners has been nothing but great for me. I have never had a need to call customer service. My bill is easy to pay and they even have an ebill option. I've been very pleased with my experience with NEP.
Easy to pay bills automatically and they send you a paper bill to make sure you are aware of all charges! Very easy!
First I agree with everyone saying it's over priced. My bills in a one bedroom is between 190-220 every month. They claim to have 24/7 customer service but no its Monday through Friday 9-6. Recently there was a power outage for almost 8 hours and I called 3 times for an update, and I know that it's really AEPs fault but I just wanted an update from them and was told "well I don't know call AEP" in a smart ass attitude so I asked to talk to a supervisor and received a laugh and a hang up. Sorry ass company.
I got my first bill from them and I had a $150 fee - I called in and immediately spoke with a customer service rep who informed me it was the deposit fee and helped me set up autopay to have it removed. She did the entire set up for me and was very nice. I truly enjoyed my experience and happy to work with them!
My auto pay got messed up, I was charged 20 dollars for a late processing fee when I paid the next month, they immediately waived it, apologized and thanked me for being a customer. Great customer
Service.
Utility provider at my previous apartment. No issues with service. Very pleasant experience dealing with customer service on the few questions I ran into.
Responded very quickly to my question and offered a prompt solution.
I ve had this company for a year now and have had no issues! Bills are very detailed and the website is very user friendly!
The CSR Al was extremely helpful, quick, and courteous.
