This was such a great experience. I took my 4 and 3 year old. I was worried they would be so bored! But there were a lot of interactive things for them to do! I definitely want to go again when they're older.

This place is strikingly beautiful. We'll architectures building. We went in and was greeted by a nice looking young man. So much history portrayed in a unique way. Everyone ought to see this museum. There's so much to see. We weren't able to see it all. When we come back, hopefully with our children and grandchildren, we will see more. There is a bookstore with interesting vooks and many other things. Well worth browsing, we found a few items.

This is an exceptional museum that not only teaches about the history of slavery, but shows how it is still happening today and what you as an individual can do to help stop it. Of course my granddaughters learn about slavery in America in school, but this really showed them more of the reality of what was done and is still being done to vulnerable people. I highly recommend this museum of you are in Cincinnati.

Me (live in Cincinnati)and my family( live in Louisville)went for the 1st time. I will say it's a lot of educational reading, you could easily spend 2 to 3 hours. So much information and artifacts. They also have short films you can watch along the way between 5 to 15 min. I had so many emotions learning about my ancestors. What bothered me was seeing people walk around taking selfies in the slave pen with duck lips . Though this is the insensitive world we live in today. I had an amazing time and will be back this summer parking was about $8 for 2to3hours cant wait to go back

Informative museum about the African-American experience nationally and locally. Beautiful building, passionate and knowledgeable staff. I wish there was more about Cincinnati specifically in their permanent exhibits. Since the exhibits and interpretations already go beyond the underground railroad era - eg the Transatlantic Trade during the heyday of the Portuguese Empire - I also wish there were more about Civil Rights Era.

History of slave trade, human trafficking and Underground Railroad all with detailed descriptions. Do not need a guided tour as every exhibit is well described. Educational tour for everyone, especially younger generations to gain an awareness about some of the unpleasant periods in human history.

I feel that it offers a lot for those who are learning about African American history, especially concerning the Underground Railroad and modern day slavery for the first time. However , it's a tad disappointing for a person that knows "the basics", if you will. I felt moved as always when revisiting the topics discussed, but it was pretty generic. The Rosa Parks VR experience was well done, however not at all worth $15 in my opinion. People are able to get so much more for that money for free or lower cost. It felt like it ended faster than it took for us to get set up with goggles, spiel, etc.

Excellent experience to visit the Cincinnati Freedom Center. The history of Slavery past and present are displayed here. The Underground Railroad was a real sad part of history. Must see and learn about the slave trade that affected our country. The historical evidence helps us to learn about the path that led us to today. The African Americans who have overcome this long history of slavery are true survivors. It is inspirational. The present day stories are shockingly common. Interesting Rosa Parks exhibit. Wonderful theater has a short documentary. Wonderful paintings are displayed.

Great place. It really hit home with the struggles our ancestors went through. Great tour. My sisters and I enjoyed it. Also learned to appreciate things more now than ever. I will be bringing my kids back.

I didn't get to look around much because i was working there that day. From what I saw it was really nice. They keep it very clean. Lots of information if you have time to look. And the thing that really caught my eye was a cabin that was built inside the building on the second floor. I was amazed when I saw it. Maybe some day I'll be able to go and actually look at the exibits. Lol

Three friends and I took the day off today to visit the Freedom Center. We already hadtickets in hand and were looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately, when we got to Cincinnati, it was a traffic nightmare. We made our way to the underground parking garage of the Freedom Center only to be told that we were not allowed access because we did not have a pass. This was true for every parking lot from the stadium all the way up to Sixth Street and beyond. After searching for parking for more than two hours, we finally gave up and went home. We were told by the police officer working the gate at the parking garage that it was a mandate of the city that the Reds and Bengals be given priority and that the gates were automatically locked to anyone not possessing a pass. I think it is ridiculous that patrons to the Freedom Center are locked out of Freedom Center parking. It's pathetic. A business should be able to accommodate its patrons without interference from the city. The next time you complain about funding maybe you should remind the city that you could do better if they would actually allow your patrons to visit. I like baseball, but guess what, I like education, too. I'm not displeased with the Freedom Center itself, because obviously I didn't get to see it, but shame on a city that has such stupid policies. .

The museum is extremely informative from a historical and present day apect of slavery. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. A lot of the exhibits require extensive reading of information.

Travel back in time to a time when FREEDOM meant everything. It's a great place to take the family, affordable and is full of not just history but current events not just in the USA but abroad. It's brings the past and present together no matter your race or background.

Amazing building in a neat, and growing area... There is a lot of information to digest here, but the best way I can describe it is someone's artistic brainstorming that has gone without organization. Pricing was reasonable for families. I thought that there would be a more apparent tie to the city, in general, when it came to the Underground Railroad. Although I could make deductions, I really wished to know more. I liked the modern day spin on slavery at the end. I think it is important information for people to understand, but it too was general, and thrown together. Most artifacts throughout the museum were reproductions.
