So much to see and read that we didn't get through...
So much to see and read that we didn't get through the whole thing and missed almost the whole lower level. Sadly disappointed and hope to return someday to see the rest

Poignant piace to learn the horrors of slavery and human injustice..
I want to give them 5 stars, but the display was unprofessional. The information is SO important, but the way it's presented doesn't make you want to learn about it.
It's hard to believe that we didn't know anything about this place until now! The history in this museum is incredible. The kids even loved it here.
You need ALL DAY. Go upstairs to the genealogy department
Regarding the history of the black slave liberation movement, many celebrities and heroes are mentioned here. For those who do not live in the United States, it is better to watch the related movies.
Always something new to see. Also a great venue for weddings or meeting.
An incredible learning experience everyone needs to have at least once.
Took implicit predjudices test, talked with staff very welcoming
I was so proud and privileged to be there the woman who spoke touch my heart. The name Rosa Parks is a name that needs to be Rewritten so people remember who she is she suffering so that we could be free and speak and we think of her only as a black woman but she was a woman too. There was a man who work behind a curtain to take care of her because if she was forgotten After All the Troubles and the big city. She was mugged and left for the Wayside to be forgotten after what she sacrificed. In the man who owns a little Caesar tried to work in the background to make sure that she didn't have to live like that anymore and he didn't do it for his own good or deprez his own name it was somebody else who told on his works but it's people like that we need to Sikh today. I only pray zip The Man Bon Jovi would find the ability to open one of his restaurants it's such a Natty so I could scrub the toilets there for the rest of my life.
If you get the time please go. We had a very knowledgeable tour guide and we learned way more than what we knew from textbooks. I got to touch unginned cotton which was super cool for me.
We stayed there for over three hours. Highly recommended! Not only was this Museum about slavery but it also included other suppressed groups-- American Indians and women.
Great Museum, special event family welcomed disabilities accessible
It was closed but the building looked cool from the outside. I'll be back to visit.
Loved it, and our Tour guy Ms. Patricia was the best
Everyone should go and learn history. Schools do not teach of this anymore.
A must visit. As expected, not exactly uplifting, but everyone should visit.
Very sad and interesting history but several exhibits we're not working and in disrepair
I saw the exhibit about the lynchings. They had Billie Holiday singing strange fruit. It was powerful right down to the pit of my stomach. Man's inhumanity to man sometimes overwhelms all the good that people do for others.
I only wish I had more time. A must visit when in Cincinnati!!
Awesome museum, friendly staff and beautiful architecture.
Unbelievably moving!! Beautiful place to learn about black history!!! Breathtaking!!!
Might have some information I need on our freedom fight I am in with government and military
Great museum in downtown Cincinnati with huge amount of history. Plan on at least 3-4 hours to take it all in.
There's so much - didn't get to see even 1/4 of it! Such hard stuff to see and read. What a dark time for people all over the world. Very will done; well definitely go back.
Very interesting and very well organized. Totally worth a visit!
I love the museum and the rich history it offers. My husband and I have studied the history of slavery, the American civil war and underground railroad for many years and still we learn something new every time we go. I was especially impressed with the artwork they had on display and their dedication to continuing the fight against modern day slavery. We tried the Rosa Parks experience, which wasn't available the last time we went, which was brief, but powerful. It's a wonderful institution and worth every penny. A great way to spend a few hours on a rainy day.
This is a very educational place in fact when there open my kids ask me if we could go there and I say yes. Please go here.
Took my son here during Black History Month to educate him and express the importance of the month of February. It was worth the 8 hour drive from Watertown, NY. I love the jazz player on the first floor!
Thank you for the great experience!
Excellent museum historical and visionary perspective. Great artifacts well put together stories...great use of the various mediums to convey the historical information. Well done. Previous reviews are acurate and helpful. Made a donation to help keep it running and to fix some of the displays.
A very informative, Enlightening experience. The gift shop has a good selection. The musuem is beautiful and very well kept and the staff are helpful and lovely.
very interesting and informative about past and present slavery
Didnt like the white guide. It's hard enough thinking about blk history . She could never know or explain to blk ppl, about black history.
Amazing views from atop this museum. The exhibits are amazing and I love the way this museum was laid out. But my favorite part was the large cabin inside, this was very well kept and amazing thing to preserve!
Fantastic place to visit!! Be sure to have plenty of time to explore.
Wonderful center. There are a few place I wish it delved deeper, but I can understand the why they can't fully engage. Educational & family friendly.
Heart-breaking & powerful!! SO worth seeing, & plan to spend a whole day here. With the various films, regular & special exhibits, you'll need it!
This place tries, but the history inside doesn't quite justify the price of entry.
For the price paid, they should have more interactive guidance
Very informative. The parking garage was very clean.
A piece of American history that everyone should visit
Excellence!!!!! Will definitely be back to spend more time.
Lots of information and displays. I spent hours there and really enjoyed it.
Excellent experience to visit the Cincinnati Freedom Center. The history of Slavery past and present are displayed here. The Underground Railroad was a real sad part of history. Must see and learn about the slave trade that affected our country. The historical evidence helps us to learn about the path that led us to today. The African Americans who have overcome this long history of slavery are true survivors. It is inspirational. The present day stories are shockingly common. Interesting Rosa Parks exhibit. Wonderful theater has a short documentary. Wonderful paintings are displayed.
