Service was a major cluster. People were getting in the shorter lines, only to have the managers shout at them "there are more lines, people, move to one of them..." Only to move over, have the lines be much longer, and the service much much slower.
Not the best hot dogs and not the best price. You can do much better from a random food cart. You re only paying for the name.

First let me say I love Nathan however to visit there off-season get two hot dogs and cheese fries and pay $15 is a joke there was no line it's all season what a shame what a rip off I mean I can understand if there was a group of people during the summer supply and demand but all season and less than five customers is ridiculous

Characteristic place that is right next to the funfair, very large to accommodate a lot of people at meal time. Hot dogs are the specialty of course but offer a wide variety of foods from sandwiches to fried fish. The service is not the fastest and the average value for money is considered fast food in the area.
I ABSOLUTELY love and been coming to Nathan's since I was a kid...that's 50 years coming to Nathan's and Coney Island.

Well! What else are you going to eat at yod Coney Island Board walk? I always get hotdogs with chilli and fried with cheese. Beverage varies. The lines can be kklllerrrr long, but br oatirng and out your party in different lines. Doubke up on seating and make new friends.
Hot dogs are good as usual and the nostalgia is to die for. Gotta grab the crinkle fries too.

Its been a long that i havent eaten the original nathan hotdogs and at that coney island. I am from nyc but residing in philly for years. I havent been to CI in years.

I know everyone goes here for franks, but I had a burger with onion rings and hush puppies ,best 15 dollars I circulated in a whole hot damn! it was cold but worth it go early on a weekday aplenty parking and short lines
Visited this place for the first time. The staff was friendly. Restaurant was clean. Sadly they don't have any vegetarian hot dogs or veggie burgers. Your only option is a salad or French fries, if you are a vegetarian. We got cheese fries and it tastes pretty good. Nathan's have been around for 100 years they should add few items for vegetarians. I got chance to talk to the manager on duty and even she said that lot of people come in and ask for veggie burger or hot dogs and she thinks they (Nathan's) should add it.
Nathan's is a landmark establishment and my visit was off-season and later in the evening. The quality of the hotdog was Nathans Famous but the pricepoint seemed a little high for a hotdog. Aside from the Homeless man they had asked to leave it. It is a must try if your at Coney Island.

I understand that the crazy lines have contributed to long wait, but they were in no hurry to clear it up either. Hot dog are good, but not really different from any other hot dogs. Fries are not good. Chili is even worse. Pretty good deal on beer, so go ahead and get the large given how long you waited. If you must go here (as any first time Coney Island visitor will) just stick to classic dogs and beer.
I've been coming here since 1974 they took a lot of things that I love off the menu which I'm a little disappointed. I used to love their roast pork sandwich it was out of this world but everything else seems to be pretty much the same hot dogs and French fries that old very good. Service is very very slow but it is what it is.
This is a Brooklyn staple. If you come to Coney Island this place is a must visit.

I was here back in February so it probably wasn't the season to be here, but I was a little disappointed. I've had a Nathan dog in Montreal that was better. The place was empty except for bored staff and an old lady reading the newspaper. I'll have to go back in the peak season to get the true experience.
What can you say about this world famous landmark. Great Frank's, fried clams and potatoes. A must visit in Coney Island.

poor quality food in an awful environment , had the misfortune to call in here for some fried and tastless food , good service though. Coney Island is a dump full of dodgy people , my wife and daughter were verbally harassed by some layabouts while using the bathrooms here , best to avoid this establishment and the whole place altogether.

On the coney island promenade is the first of Nathan's 2 restaurants. When we were there in August there was a long queue to try the most famous hot dog in NY. The sandwich is not so big but it is very good. In addition to hot dogs You can find fries bretzel fish fried burgers and the corn dog. There are a few tables to sit and eat but we never found a place so once we went to eat on the beach and once on the benches on the waterfront. The other room is just a few steps from the waterfront behind the playground. Here, every year on July 4th, they make hot dog eater competitions.
Who doesn't love a hot dog? Me! Can't stand them but still have to stop in and grab something. The fries were good.
Nothing beats the original, always a stop when I come back home.

I love hot dogs so when my friend told me that we were going to Coney Island for the day, I was so excited to eat at Nathan s! We ordered everything! Fries, cheese fries, chili dog, regular dog. Not pictured, two beers. Great food for a great price, would recommend to anyone for lunch or dinner. Iconic meal to top off a fun day at Luna Park.
