A classic historic location that everyone should see at least once.
I've place my mouth on a couple of hot dogs in my day. Why, I might even say that I am a hot dog fanatic. This particular hot dog business stand managed to really transform my understanding of a dog that is hot. I placed my mouth upon this hot dog and I was blown away by the chefs' expertise. The buns were nice and soft; the dog itself was nice, tender, and succulent. I felt my chest hairs stand up when I took my first bite.
It was as if I was the food critic from Ratatouille and this meal had just sent me back to my younger childhood. Sorry, mother; but there is a new hot dog virtuoso in the neighborhood and his name is Nathan from Coney Island.
God Bless you Nathan!
The food was awesome. Just like I remembered as a kid.
Well what can i say , no trip is complete without visiting here & coney island. when u are here u will see many other shops but by far this is the best joint to eat
This place is famous because of the hotdog eating competition. Usually packed and personally overpriced. Its a great tourist spot.
The food was not that great, with very high prices it was not worth it. You could get better food at a burger king or McDonald's for a cheaper price. And a 16 dollar lobster roll that did not even taste good, with stale bread.
Had to try Nathan's in Coney Island. $4.95 hot dog. You can make them at home and they taste the same.
The best place to eat when you're in Coney Island. Hands down. A menu of variety of foods from their famous hot dogs to seafood & sandwiches.
They have a large selection of grub food after a long stay in the beach or even after riding multilple rides in the area. Food are fairly priced, I believe, as they have affordable and small hotdog sandwiches and they also have more stuffed options to stiff said hotdog sandwiches if you're even more hungry. They sell beer as well, perfect for the summer heat wave. They could use mist fans or more shaded tables.
Gross, overly priced, not worth the time or money, just a regular hot dog, fries are disgusting, nice people but the food sucks
The overly salty and expensive food with the 90 dollars we spent there we could have eaten richer and for less price
The best hotdogs. But look online once a month for coupons.
It's a hotdog...if you like hotdog, eat here. If not, it's a hotdog. We went there because you're supposed to when you visit Coney Island.
Amazing hot dogs, chili fries, wings and philly cheesesteak!
It's the original location. and still the best. The staff was great and the selection is amazing, something for everyone. And the hot dogs, there's a reason they're Nathans Famous.
The famous Coney Island Nathen's hotdog, nostalgia on a bun.
It's Nathan's, it's a hot dog. I've had better but it's about the experience, the location, and the history. Shrimp was good too
The Best Hot Dog in New York .... and Beyond. The best kept secret is the Nathan s Famous 5 ounce Steak Burger. The Original location has a Clam Bar serving the best Oysters as well. The burgers at NF are better tasting than most burger chains. Nathan s Famous has restaurants all over.... and has more than the best hot dogs !!
Best place on coney island... the hot dogs are the best. And the burgers are awesome. Long line around the block.
Hot dogs and fries was extremely salty was not enjoyable at all, And way too expensive for a hot dog. One good thing is service was quickly and good customer service.
The hot dogs are just meh, but the soft shell crab on a bun is great!
Lines are crazy long if you go to the one across from the metro. There's another at the back of the park (by the boardwalk) that seems less busy.
If you're looking for old authentic hot dogs, there is a smaller hot dog place inside the park that was established before Nathan's. I believe it's over by Luna park? Didn't try them personally, but would have if I'd realized they were there before I ate.
Service was good and wait was short. My friend liked her food
Pretty decent hotdogs, not super cheap and quite small
Not worth it for the food. Below average quality hot dogs. Canned liquid cheese. Soggy tasteless onion rings.
Love everything they have there especially there cheesy french fries
Always a favorite stop while at Coney Island.
My husband finally tried raw oysters & little necks, YUM!!!!!! EXCELLENT !!!!!!
This Coney Island icon is a must see for all New York City visitors - especially during the summer. Nathan's is part of the history of Coney Island and a place that millions have visited and have fond memories of. It is a rite of passage of being a NYC resident to have at least had one hot dog from this establishment.
While many of their chain stores may have closed - this is the spot to grab a couple of dogs and tasty french fries along with a drink, If you like seafood try the fried battered clams or a fish sandwich - the food here is all good.
Take your food and walk along the boardwalk - or go on to the sandy beach and watch the surfers.
Coney Island has battled back from Sandy and is now ready for another fun summer - so stop by and enjoy this piece of Americana history.
Always good hotdogs, ok selection of sea food, also serves decent frog legs. Historical place with efficient fast service. My summer would not be complete without a visit.
Famous hot dogs, how can you go wrong! We really enjoyed the chili cheese fries.
Hey what can I say, it's Nathan's love the Fry's and the frog legs
Always hit up Nathan's when I'm visiting Coney Island. The hot dogs and fries are second to none. World famous always.
The food is ok, but it's a Coney Island tradition so you must indulge.
their food is delicious. there is no other place I would get hot dogs from.
Fried frog legs, french fries with cheese, hot dogs with the works. This is what I remember Coney Island for as much as the amusement park.
I give Nathan's Famous - Coney Island located at 1310 Surf Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11224 FIVE HOTDOGS instead of the 5 stars if I could. Haha My first visit was great and did enjoy having the world famous hotdog, but the cheese steak sandwich was better. 5 . I did enjoy the time spent at a historic spot in Coney Island.
It's the OG, and they have beer. What else is there to say!
I came to this iconic place to eat the famous Frankfurter hot dogs in November. I didn't see any lines; ordered 3 different types of hot dogs and enjoyed them with the panorama. There are lots of options to eat than hot dogs. This is a must visit place in Coney Island.
Food was okay but the prices are astronomical! Being a native New Yorker it's been a life long habit to eat there. With these prices looks like I'm breaking at least one habit!
The hot dog is great along with the fries. Very tasty
I was born in Brooklyn but haven't lived there for 30 years. I brought my 20 year old daughter to Coney Island to see what I've told her for years about the frog legs at Nathan's. She loved them. It brought back memories for me.
Quintessential Coney Island, but long lines. Fries are good
Well worth it. Absolutely good food everything from the hot dogs to the seafood. Good prices too
If you want to try the authentic hot dog ... this is the place. Ideal if you are going to visit the Coney Island amusement park. The place is not very large, but it is full of life. Very curious is the board of fame where the annual winners of the hot dogs "dining rooms" contest are published. A classic to be visited.
Well first of all it's world famous. Known for its most hot dog eating contest in the world. The boardwalk has been redone is better than ever and you have Luna Park for the kids and those adults who are kids at heart. But most of all the beach, need I say more.
What's Coney Island without two dogs, cheese fries and a large lemonade?
Sometimes the lines are long but the food is good!!
The perfect place to eat after visiting the beach. It is quick, the kids love it here and it is not expensive at all. I cant sat I would go to other Nathan s locations, but this one is a must after a visit to Coney island.
It was very nice lots of rides n games to choose from n not to mention food was awesome... we will be bk for sure.
You CANNOT come to Coney and not go to Nathan on Surf Ave.
Place to exspensive....not worth buying...Eat at home before coming to coney island.
the rides are expensive, 8 dollars and more- nice treat once in a while.
The food was delicious and it was clean and spacious. It's a good place to eat at during Covid-19
Good service, very attentive, all freshly made and especially warm.
If you are visiting Brooklyn you have to go to Nathan's Best hot dog ever
