On the coney island promenade is the first of Nathan's 2 restaurants. When we were there in August there was a long queue to try the most famous hot dog in NY. The sandwich is not so big but it is very good. In addition to hot dogs You can find fries bretzel fish fried burgers and the corn dog. There are a few tables to sit and eat but we never found a place so once we went to eat on the beach and once on the benches on the waterfront. The other room is just a few steps from the waterfront behind the playground. Here, every year on July 4th, they make hot dog eater competitions.
